| The gracious figure lingered silently - dressed with elegance against every step further into that of a pink pigmented wonderland of soft petals and utmost harmony. It was dark, only to be illuminated by the moon hanging innocently within the midnight, black sky, surrounded by a galaxy of bright stars and untold stories. Completely alone, vulnerable, yet entirely aware of its surroundings, the creature peered through the pastures of heavenly gentleness and summer's work, only to then find a home for themselves amongst a cherry blossom tree standing, outcasted among the rest, at the edge of the land. Ears erect, the emerald eyes of a curious serpent averted strongly to the other side of the meadow, wondering helplessly as to what could lie on the opposing side if she were to wander closer to it and onwards. However, this the fae already knew, for it was their most be founded enemy - the Erenyx. She cared little for those who chose the life of such strict rules and harsh punishment, but she had a sense of humanity after all, there were others she had come to know that left her side for the love of such a pack. They shall stay unnamed, only for her to personally know and that alone. Those individuals were aware that they meant something to her, whether it be by betrayal or mutual friendliness - maybe even more. Night had fallen slowly that evening, allowing her some time to realize that it a no longer spring upon them, but summer's temporary stay. The fae could only hope that there not be another drought this year, but she would not be left surprised if there were.
Her coat was as black as the night, washed with a dark blanket of obsidian to cover her very flesh and then some. Still, she managed to keep a low profile whilst remaining a toned form to keep up with the rest of the crowd as well as her comrades. It would only become worse over time would her joints begin to crumble beneath her and force her into hiding as a poor, yet fortunately wise Elder. The thought of it still haunted her to this day that her life was limited, that this young energy would not last forever and her looks would not remain as beautiful as they were much like now. Many months she had spent alone, only to see her beloved at the latest hour before bed and, if she was lucky enough, she would cast a peek of him leaving early morning off to somewhere far from where she would be. Juno sighed at the thought, never to take much pity in herself to allow it to surface her emotions. Her work would be greatly affected if she did not keep her feelings inside, it may or may not put her rank in danger of being replaced. As she sat beneath the cherry blossom trees, the wind whistled, carrying a forming cloud of soft white and light pink petals across the pasture to rest somewhere upon the ground. She watched them pile over the others whilst pawing at the floor, feeling the gentle textures beneath the pads of her feet and stretching the muscles in her back to create a pop. Her tail curled closely against her side as she looked to the mountains off more towards the south, seeing at how, even if it was summer's time, the snow fell at its sharp peaks.

| Wandering beneath the moonlight on deft, calm paws the apprentice found himself in a place of hanging blossoms and pink petals. The tan brown and black wolf was traversing the terrain, once again drawn to the outside world away from the harshness of Erenyx. He was at complete ease, his head level with the rest of his body and ears leaning forwards. He didn't quite blend in. His pelt, a handsome mix of light browns with streaks and shades of black, was still distinct enough to stand out against the bright pink and green of the flowers and the grass. To a wolf who could see in the dark he was visible. But Renier was fast, swift and he hid himself well. The grass reached almost up to his legs and the grove of flowers were so plentiful they provided additional cover. He had not come here before but it seemed almost the same as the place with the red flowers. Renier had a feeling that his brother had come here but he didn't think Icarus had a good time. When Renier had asked the only thing he'd done was growl and snort. It made Renier interested in checking the place out for himself. He and his older brother were in ways, complete polar opposites. Where Icarus was hot-headed, Renier was calm. Where Icarus was rough and rambunctious, Renier was more measured and controlled. And Icarus deplored places like these. While Renier wasn't exactly a fan of pink he thought the scenery was an interesting change. He had never seen a sea of pink blossoms before and he had no word to call them. There were barely any flowers in Erenyx and none as beautiful as these. Beauty. A strange word. One that was rarely used in Erenyx in the traditional sense. But beauty was subjective he thought. Icarus considered the rushing rivers of Shallow Bend beautiful though he knew his brother would never admit it. But Renier had thought that the rainbow had been beautiful. The one that he'd seen one morning when he had woken up and his brothers were still sleeping. Or when his mother had helped Striker heal an injured wound on his leg.
As he was entertaining that thought he caught the scent of something. It was different. Entirely different the scents he had smelt from the wolves in Erenyx. A Helidos wolf? He came to a smooth stop, his head cocking to the side slightly. There. Up ahead. It was a female black wolf with green eyes sitting underneath one of the trees. He raised one paw, caution entering his baby blue eyes. The lightest shade of blue. Just like his father's but not as cold. More open and much warmer even though they were the iciest hue of blue. She seemed friendly but she was bigger than him. He couldn't win in a fight with her. But he had never met a Helidos wolf before. She didn't look like she'd organize raids and take pups or anything like what his brother had said. And she had black fur. Icarus had been wrong. He knew it. His father had been right. In fact, he could recall his father saying something about a black wolf with green eyes when he'd mentioned Helidos. He'd watch her from a distance. Maybe he could talk to her from a distance. He continued forwards, his gaze straying once to watch the cloud of petals roll by past his legs before returning back to her. He stopped beneath another tree next to hers, watching her his tail hanging behind his flank. It was a posture of neutrality showing he meant no harm. But he did not say anything yet. It was partly because he wasn't so sure what to say and partly because he was waiting to see how she'd react to his presence.

| Perfectly fine with me, dear. ^^ I've missed rping with you!
Like sun was to a flower's petals, the islamic green hues of the she-wolf turned gradually into the direction of that of a neighboring wolf. The features of the canine were well under wept as they were masked by the dark skies and illuminated shadows amongst the several trees ahead of and surrounding him. He seemed to be well natured, a prized adolescent if he may amongst the litter, if there be one, which he was born into not long ago into the spring, she assumed. His build was no match to hers when compared, nor the length of his legs and curiosity behind the shimmering innocent blues in which he possessed for eyes. That pair - how they resembled another she had seen before in this life; perhaps it was a fragment of her imagination, weakened by that of only an aged wolf could withhold. The Beta female used the side of her vision to see what all there was about the wolf and the way he walked, how he moved and reacted about her quiet presence. Despite the scent he was drenched with, the fae had become accustom to the odor behind Erenyx lines - as she beheld a slim amount of trusted allies correlating with that of their kind and so forth. Ones so much as an old friend from long ago, an individual whom impacted her life well enough so early in her stay about these lands as a newly addition to Helidos forces. Though at that time, there was no rivalry between packs - no discrimination, no war, no threats, no worrying who they may encounter within the neutralized lands. There was none of that, and all the fae could do is wish that someday harmony could soon then be restored and this mess would be over between the opposing packs. But as wolves, she knew better; this war will not end, and she only feared the day when it would blow up before the eyes of many and endanger plentiful lives in the process.
In yet still, the black beauty looked to the young adult with utmost care; for even she, being a superior of their enemy, could not ignore an innocent life such as thee and allow him to be threatened by her appearance. However, if the male were smart enough, he'd know to keep his thoughts to himself and mind alone what she was capable of versus what he could put upon her shoulders. The motherly figure turned in her seat to peer more closely to the fellow young wolf. His coat was hard to see within the dark, but the moonlight soon then aided her field of vision to see that his fur was not quite grey, but blanketed in the pigments of honey browns and slim-markings of darker browns and some ivories washed into his sides and facial features. Again, Juno could not leave his eyes - the deja-vu was devouring her each and every second she stared into that of a serpent in disguise's crystal hues. "Speak'th to me, your name aloud, young brute! What'th thou call himself upon such times?" The Beta proudly said, her voice rushed, yet soft in its own delicate ways of speaking. Her ears slowly then rotated to pin against her fine-shaped head, tail kept close to keep her calm in the state of peace the pastures granted her - them, she remembered. "Come child. Must you not sit so alone by thyself, but to be within my gift of protection amongst thee. I solemnly swear to you, I reveal no threat to this night." Her accent was enriched with its Latin background, but she held her tongue from saying anything further for the sake of the mere child's mind. She had no intentions of scaring the young wolf in any way or form, but only to share a mutual conversation. In secret, she also saw that this male was still quite helpless when out alone on summer nights, some of the most dangerous creatures crept along these woods, and she only wished to grant him temporary protection whilst they sat in the cherry blossom's wake. Juno provided him room, dividing the space between them so that he lay comfortable about himself while she held a lonesome area of her own beneath the same tree.

| As the other ran her gaze over him, observing him he gazed straight ahead his eyes following the long stretch of grass and blossom trees spaced out in front of him. It wasn't that he was scared. He just didn't want to send any intentions of wanting a fight. He was just a lone wanderer out on a midnight stroll. A lone wanderer who was a pup, not quite an adult but a wanderer nevertheless. He found the night comforting, as comforting as day and did not mind his surroundings. Swaying blossoms were swaying blossoms. One could get used to them and they could be used to practice reflexes and evasion, speed and agility. And here, he could be free to entertain his thoughts without disturbance from his brothers. His mind was often awash with thoughts. Notions and ideas. Sometimes it was about what he would be when he became an adult. A hunter or a warrior? Other times, thoughts of the other pack trickled into his mind. If anything, it was out of sheer curiosity. He had never seen a wolf from the Helidos pack or met one. It would be interesting to know what the wolves from Helidos were really like. To separate truth from fiction or see how much truth there was in fiction. He could not tell how old she was. Whether she was older than his father or his mother. He did not really understand why she was looking at him with such care but he didn't mind. It was better than being attacked. Renier was not an incompetent fighter. He had no choice being the son of a warrior. Being surrounded by fighting and having to fight made him capable even though it would not have been his first choice. And he had an inkling that his father had something that he hadn't been telling his mother. Something big. He had heard there was a new Guardian, a new Elite. It probably had something to do with that. He hoped that he would be able to meet Willow's father. This friend of his father's. His father mentioned him more than any other wolf he knew when he spoke about fights. Granted, his father was not a talker which was probably where he got his penchant for speaking in very little words as possible from. Before he could contemplate it further he heard the voice of the female call him.
She had turned. Renier turned as well, slowly but surely until his body was fully facing hers. His ears leaned forwards intently. She was staring at his eyes. He blinked once, slightly puzzled but hid it quickly and straightened so as to appear confident. There was a fleeting, microsecond moment where he almost lowered his eyes and head to avoid hers as he felt a twinge of apprehension. But he caught himself, his tawny brown-black form as stilling into a well-built statue. He had lean muscle at the moment. Not incredibly enormous because he was still in the stages of adolescence but with time, they would become more developed. For now, they were where as they should be. He responded in a clear calm voice, piercing the night air,"Renier. My name is Renier."Her voice and words were strange to him. He had never heard anyone speak that way before and he almost could not understand it. Almost. As he watched, her ears folded back against her skull. She was friendly. He still hesitated just slightly, keenly looking around her for anything out of place. No one but them. He guessed he could just run if he was in danger. So he padded forwards, his paws sweeping the stray blossoms and joined her beneath the tree beside her in the space she set out for him. He glanced to her noticing that her space was not quite so spacious and said gratefully, his handsome features half in shadow from the tree branches above them."Thanks. You didn't have to do that. I don't need that much space." He had not thought of danger because this place was so peaceful and he had not ventured out by himself that much at night. When he did, it was with his brothers or his parents. There were times such as these when he was a lone ranger and he explored by himself but he hadn't come across any danger fortunately. He had learned how to hide from danger but he guessed that exploring outside of his pack-lands was not the safest thing and dangerous. Though he had been here before he had not stayed out until it was night. He hadn't seen any eagles, any bears or snakes but they could still be here. The possibility hadn't occurred to him before. And if she were not there to harm him and offered him some company then there was no reason why he couldn't take it. There were many questions in his mind. What her name was. What Helidos was like. Who she was and if she was the wolf his father had been talking about. But he settled first for a question that was neutral, an innocent question borne from a young mind."Why do you speak like that?" |

| Despite the lack of estimation, the Beta had managed to seek some tone in the young's form, though none which could compare to her own bod. With this, her expression demonstrated no surprise, but a faltered curiosity between what type of wolf he truly was beneath the mask he tried to helplessly to hide behind to appear tougher, less vulnerable to the female. Soon then, her company boldly answered aloud with what they preferred to be called, creating an atmosphere around her that captured a trusted escape for the male if needed. Perhaps now, she would return the favor with one of her own callings, "Ah.. Renier, then. Tis be a pleasure. You shall call me, Juno.. I shall only allow with that as far as this meeting.. Think of me as.. a friend, that is, unless thee believes me to be the enemy. How ever shall it be, trust me, and I shall do the same. Does that sound fair enough?" Once the space was granted, and the adolescent had finally found comfort within her hushed presence, Juno began to rest as well in her new position beneath the blossom-molting tree swaying above them. She watched carefully as he eyed the area, as well as herself, and then some. Perhaps he was being cautious because of her, this caused Juno to wonder as to how much he had already been taught, and as to whom had taught him in the first place. Where had a young lad learned so much in so little time after apprenticeship began? Nevertheless, she remained unmoving; leaving no trace of evidence within her bright, serpent-like green eyes to show that she enjoyed observing the life before her. "You're welcome, child,-" Juno said softly, rolling her eyes over the younger brute's facial features, her head a slight of a tilt as she wondered whom were the parents of this creation, "-it'th only common courtesy that I provide such things.. young Renier. A gift, nonetheless. You shall use it however thou wishes, whether it to be closer, or farther away from where I lay here within the soft, blossom petals."
If Renier were to move closer, perhaps even lay against her side, the fae would remain still, unless he was in need of proper affections, or maybe reassurance against the dangers that could lurk. But as a mother knew best, she acknowledged the fact he was of brute qualities. This meant that he would not take the initiative to bring forth his needs aloud, before her, but be kept quietly in his head and revealed in his body behavior. Males were stubborn, just as well as females. But, like she knew herself, if she were his age and her parents provided such intimacy with her as a pup, she would take it. When she was at his level of experience and time, the wolves whom raised her did not show such affections to her. The slightest bit of nuzzling from her mother's snout would be it, and only then, it rarely happened unless she came home with a lucky rabbit. With how far they were in the mountains, food came in short amounts, leaving the pup empty-handed, and without enough love. But those affections were then replaced later on, by not her parents, but another. Juno's eyes peered to the pup as he commented upon her speech. She chuckled once at the question, but did not hesitate further to answer, keeping her chin upon her paws as she spoke with a leveled gaze, "Is it truly the way I speak that troubles you, child? Surely, no, but I must ask for certainty, if you may.." The Beta helplessly gazed into the brute's innocent hues, looking for some sort of clarification as to why he cared as to why she spoke, or what that really did for him in the long run. She knew that curiosity was found most common in the adolescences, but she awaited more serious questions to what lurked within this wolf's mind. "And as for yourself... where does thou come from, meaning, to whom are your parents, young one? Perhaps I know'th of them.." |

| Renier listened intently. Her voice was much more gentle than anything he'd ever heard before, save for possibly his mother's voice. Maybe it was the way she spoke. He considered her words. Think of her as a friend unless he thought she was the enemy. And she would do the same. So if he thought she was the enemy he would consider him to be the same. He should think of her as a friend then. And he would have preferred to think of her as such anyway. He nodded in agreement. Yes, he would think of her as a friend. It was the best course of action to take. And he liked having friends even if she was from Helidos and she was older. He sneaked another glance at her, taking in her green eyes. They seemed to glimmer and shine. Maybe it was because of the moonlight. Or maybe they were just like that naturally. Or maybe it was because it was dark out. He lay down in the puddle of blossoms, his form not quite clashing in with the pink and green but blending in. At first glance, if he didn't move and closed his eyes it'd look like he was the ground due to the shades of brown and black of his pelt. His features flickered, confusion and surprise passing through his eyes. A gift? And he could use it however he wanted? It was weird to him. But he liked it. The petals felt soft and thin beneath his body.
He looked at her again, wondering if he should get closer. He wouldn't have admitted it but he did need protection. His gaze wandered across the field in front of him, to the sea of pink blossoms and the grass. He nestled further into his fore-paws, his muzzle disappearing while the only thing visible were his eyes and ears. He remained guarded as it were. He could remember his mother giving him affection, her nose brushing against him and her licks to clean his fur. Renier curled his tail around his legs. No he didn't need it. Not now. His muzzle wrinkled. He didn't want to rely on them anymore. But he missed his father's calm, deep voice in the mornings. His mother teaching him about herbs. It was fun exploring and learning with his family. But without them, he was out here by himself. Getting closer to the other wolf, Juno, couldn't hurt. She promised she wouldn't hurt him and offered protection. Maybe he could move closer just a bit. So he rolled sideways until he was half a body length's away from her, ending up on his back directly underneath one of the blossom groves, fore-legs and hind-legs tucked into his body while his tail lay out behind him in a messy, furry brown, black-spattered line. Blossoms matted his face, sticking to the fur. He tilted his head, gazing at her and said slowly, "My parents told me never to talk to Helidos wolves. My big brother said that Helidos wolves are made out of rainbows and steal pups from the dens but I knew he was lying. You don't look like you're made out of rainbows. I was wondering who you are Miss Juno. And what Helidos is like. I didn't know it had black wolves. I thought only Erenyx had black wolves." He paused at her words. How much should he tell her? He said,"My dad's name is Tye. My mum's name is Cliche. My dad's a big, strong warrior and my mum's a great healer." |

| Please stick to one color, it's bothering me..
As she looked to Renier's timid, yet strangely comforting demeanor, she found some resemblance to her beloved Ryland, how the two seemed similar along the lengths of a calm mind and great field of curiosity behind such innocence. The two perhaps could've gotten along quite well together if it weren't for the great divide before they were even existent - but with all great things, thus never shines just as bright when first found. Although the two were perhaps far in age, that did not mean they couldn't get alone, for even now, as a wolf beyond her years to almost reach Elder ranks, she spoke just as maturely with the young apprentice of the opposing team. She seemed quite fond of the fellow, actually, and found him to be a very adult-like individual despite his age. Which is why she continued to speak amongst him as equals, an ability she had been both gifted, and cursed with from an early age. Juno held her tongue as he began to merge closer. As time crept within his moments, her teeth released and her muscles uncoiled in returning to her natural, relaxed physical and mental state. It was not that she was afraid of the apprentice, as she was more so surprised that he dared to move closer with the gift she so happened to grant him freely. At that point, a small ghost of a smile flickered across her expression in a kind welcome to her share of room. Her tender, glowing eyes looked to him as she would with her beloved son and daughter, whom were now both adults of the pack and growing stronger each day. When his face rose, it had been speckled and dotted with a few blossom petals of a gentle white and faint pink-pigment. She giggled quietly amongst herself, hiding her muzzle within both of her front legs before leaning over and blowing a puff towards his cheek so that they would scatter from his fur.
Her ears flicked forwards before she rolled over onto her side and stretched out, listening intently to what he had to say within the mix of things whilst also hearing the noises of the fine night that which surrounded them. A smirk rose at the corner of her lips as she awaited for him to finish telling her about the stereotypical sayings against the Helidos pack, "I'm afraid'th to disappoint and say that one is not made of bright rainbows and frilly things - but only a kind heart of a true wolf amongst us Helidos," Juno replied humbly, flitting a pair of eyes upon him as she continued, "and thou does not steal young, its blasphemy. An act of sin against our kind, I truly believe." The thought of such an image made her eyes narrow and a personal fire spark within her. How could one think of such a thing for them to do, and for what purpose? Was it only natural to Erenyx to tell their young that Helidos was just as dangerous and arrogant as them? Perhaps, but at least she was honest with some of the acts she knew precisely about the crueler wolves. And perhaps the only, unfortunately, she thought to herself before shaking it off with a quick turn of her face before Renier requested another topic - her - and more importantly, Helidos. There was so much to tell about her pack, some good, while others poor, but how far could so go without telling him vital information about them to what he may pass on to risk the lives she is meant to keep safe? The Beta looked back to him with a calmed expression and simply opened her mouth to answer, her tone just as velvety as before, "Me, you ask? Well... I'm just like anyone else. I try to face the world one step at a time, and ran from a life before me which did not bring me happiness - and Helidos was where I found it." She began to wonder who she really was in this world, as a wolf. There was lots of things which she already knew, and some which he could probably already figure out by himself. But was there anything that exciting about her all in all?
The Beta looked to him with an honest gaze, her smile flattening as she found images of her past lurking before her in various shapes and sizes. "Just because I am on the side of the angels, does not mean I am one, Renier..." The gentleness most usually found in her eyes then dulled to a constant green rather than it's normal glow, and she slowly peered off into the blossom-covered-land's distance. She was trying her best to form words clear enough for the young adult to comprehend without asking questions for her to bare answering, and it caused her to have a slight headache - but still, she tried, for him. "Most of the wolves thou sees today were once members of Helidos so very long ago.. I was friends with a lot of the wolves whom thrive in Erenyx. We Helidos are kind wolves, and pay our respects well with one another. We serve to protect what is ours, like any pack, and treat each other like family - as equals, rather than enemies. Despite our rivalry between packs, it is because of Helidos how Erenyx became what it is today.. Without it, your previous leaders would have never of met and split off most likely to survive with others.." It was only a matter of opinion, but she allowed him to take it as he pleased. He was still quite young, and perhaps did not yet understand the history behind the packs forming long ago. Juno left that to his parents to teach him, if not someone else so that he did not grow off her point of view. When he spoke of Tye being the father behind the young brute's genetics, she was not surprised by any. He showed much resemblance according to looks, but she did not know of the mother he spoke of. The name, however, did strike her fancy a bit, although she did not take the pleasure in asking. "May'th thou leave a message for your father? Tell thee that Beta Juno says hello, and if thou ever sees Lady Chiara, tell her as well.. please." Her natural, warm smile then returned at the thought of her close friend and Tye. It had been long since they met, and even then, she had little time to speak amongst them after reuniting with her soul sister. She then remembered that she spoke of her rank before the child, and observed him for if he were to react to it. The fae could only hope he would not fear her in any way. |

| For some reason unknown to him, she was looking at him with some immense particular affection. He could not understand why. Did she have a son that looked like him? Or did she remind him of someone she loved? As she giggled and hid her muzzle in between her fore-legs, he began to roll to the side so that he could stretch his legs out. Then she leaned over and blew a puff of air towards his cheek. Surprised, he edged away just slightly. Then he realized she was just blowing the petals off his fur. He rolled back onto his side, enjoying the shade and the weather. He replied, "I know. You're made out of the same thing I am. Bones and stuff." He looked at her, his eyes shimmering slightly. He did not say that for a second he had believed his brother and said, "I'm glad you don't do that. It's just not a good thing to do." As her eyes narrowed, Renier said, "I don't think he meant it. My big brother. He just likes scaring me so he talks about a lot of stupid stuff he doesn't know about when he does." He rested his head on the ground, soaking in the moon-lit rays and darkness listening to her response. Renier murmured, "Just like anyone else...cool." It sounded to him like she found happiness in Helidos, something that made her feel like she was whole. Was there something that had been missing in her life before? Renier was content where he was. He didn't know if that was the same thing as happy but he guessed he would find out eventually as he grew older.
Just because I am on the side of angels it doesn't mean I am one Renier. Renier knew well that pack name did not dictate what type of wolf one was. If it did then he would've been violent and cruel, eager to destroy anything that stepped in his way. But to him, it was short-sighted to think that way because wolves were not simple one-dimensional beings but complicated beings who reacted in their own way to different situations considering what their temperaments were. They had layers upon layers of personality with all their quirks and fears and insecurities and passions and dislikes. And they had their good and bad sides. But that probably wasn't what she meant. So he kept his ears open to see what she had to say and when she finished, there was just one question that remained in his mind. Why would they have split? What were they fighting about that it was so serious it drove them to form separate packs? It was the most important question here but it was one that Renier thought she wouldn't have answered. As she requested him to send a message to his father he nodded in response. So she was a Beta. Was he scared? Not really. A name was a name. It couldn't hurt anyone. The wolf that held the rank could but not a name. He focused on what someone did most of the time and it was just what happened when one had a rank like hers. An instinctive reaction based on assumptions of rank. Her rank, he supposed, would have warranted fear in the worst of circumstances such as these. But it was illogical and irrational. It made more sense to fear the wolf, not the name and so far, she had given him no reason to fear her. He said, pointing at a cluster of stars above their heads through the gap in the groves of blossoms in the night skies with a paw, "Do you think those stars have a name? My brother said they were just stars but they look like patterns to me or objects. We name things like flowers here on the ground so I think we could name the stars." |

| Sorry, I went all Mufasa on Renier on this one. ^^
The wolf seemed neutral, despite her position back home, and remained casual amongst her presence as if they were equals. She enjoyed this, and respected the younger lad at how brave he was, even for her being a highly-experienced wolf in combat, and would, however, do everything in her might to serve for Helidos commands. Within her paws, she cradled a delicate flower, a single blossom to which had lost it's strength and had drifted far from it's roots to where she rested beneath the tree. The warrior must've landed here in the mists of things amid the nightly air, as it was still fresh, in some ways, and consisted of a rather vibrant color than that of the blossoms brushing against her fur-side. She knew not at to how to take it, but simply sat up gradually to hold out her paw towards the summer's breath of air. When ready, the flower lifted and was taken through to another journey amongst the pink-pigmented pastures. She watched until the point where the petals were as big as an ant and far from her field of vision to realize what it was before settling back down. The wondrous smells of autumn were among them soon enough, and she would bask in it's glory when reigned over the lands of beauty to that of harvesting colours. Her attention was then abruptly departed from the scenery as the sound of the young male's voice began to speak. His tone was already showing signs of deep masculinity, as it was slightly rasped and low, though she believed most of it was formed due to the fact he was more or less content with himself.
Pointing with his paw, she followed the lengths of his seemingly shorter, yet gradually muscled limb to the very end of his claws to know where he was referring too. He spoke gently about the glowing diamonds to which hung from the midnight-dark sky. They illuminated heavenly, individually having their own beauty and uniqueness in how bright the other could outshine it's neighbour. "They do..," She answered, slowly and quietly beneath her breath before searching the field of stars above them curiously. "-They do." Juno replied a bit louder for the adolescent to properly hear without him requesting she say it again for him. The fae looked silently from the corner of her eyes to see as if he were listening, and nodded fairly before peering back to the floating diamonds. One, over all, shown fairly bright amid a group of fainter ones to her far right, the hint of a smile glossed across her lips, "Thou are named by those whom discover them.. or believe in them.. Renier, let me tell you something my father told me." The thought of leaving her natal pack did bring a depressed feel to her heart, but she knew without leaving, she would have never washed up among Helidos's borders and been here today with the knowledge she knew now, to which she did not understand so long ago, "The great wolves of the past look down on us from those stars.. and someday, I will be with them when my days have led me to a final rest, and another star will be added to the sky you will look up at when you have a family of your own to care for.." Her head turned to look up at him, her position remained laying on the ground because it made her feel comforted beneath such a beautiful place and time. "They're named after those wolves.. Look'th towards your right, and gaze yonder to the constellation of stars to where I'm peering to." As she spoke, she looked into the direction of where her father's star settled, "That is my father.. His name is Zephren, and he gleams beautifully upon me with goodness, and supports me with his fallen strength.." She then looked away and rested her chin upon her paws, wondering as to if the pup would simply believe her to be insane to think that the stars were actually wolves, rather than what they really were to others - just another evidence of nature doing it's given roll. It wouldn't be the first she was turned away because of her own beliefs, so she kept quiet and tilted her head casually in his direction. She was beginning to feel tired the longer she was out here at night's rest. But the Beta would prevail and walk herself home, if not, she would make sure the pup was safe at the edge of the neutrals before entering Erenyx, just so she could turn back and head on home then. |

Renier listened, one ear turned towards her. His gaze shifted towards where she was signaling towards. He was glad they had names after all, by wolves who discovered them or believed in them. But he did not wish to hear about death or discuss it. To see life being extinguished in the eyes of your father or your mother while feeling powerless and trapped because there was nothing you could do to save them was a horror that he would not wish on anyone. Similarly, it was something he did not wish to see from the Beta’s eyes though he knew that as rival packs, one day he may be forced to choose to kill for no reason. Kill an innocent life. For what? Just because he was under orders? That was never a good reason for anything in the current world. In a post-apocalyptic world it made sense. In order to protect a life it made sense. In order to protect oneself from harm it made sense. It wasn’t morally right but it was justified. But senseless killing? Murder and genocide? No. Perhaps he would end up risking his own life then or taking it instead. His brothers would have called him a fool but he did not know if he could live with the guilt on his conscience for the rest of his life. So he would listen to her but not speak about it. To think that someone he loved would be gone in an instant was a thought that scared him. Not because he did not think that he couldn’t fend for himself but because his family was sacred to him. They were his flesh and blood and that bond was harder to break than anything else on this earth. His mother, who taught him about healing and medicinal herbs. His father, who was brave and calm. They were also all he had in terms of mutual trustworthiness (though even that was shaky regarding his brothers’ treatment of him).
He was not naïve enough to think that the world was altogether benevolent and kind. There were some who were most likely didn’t mean any harm such as her but there were also those who would kill him without hesitation on their own accord without any instructions or issuances from those above them. And then of course there were those who were doing what their Alpha or Beta told them even if it wasn’t what they wanted to do or it was against their morals and values. That was a different matter altogether with many complications and issues. Nevertheless, that was why he treasured times like these. When he could watch the stars shine and listen to nothing but the sounds of the wind whispering through the blossoms and the rustling of the grass. When he could see nature at play in the blossoms drifting by and smell the crisp air, without the scent of blood to accompany it. Because times like these could easily be taken away. And times like these were happy times. When the world came crashing down around your ears in chaos and destruction, when you had lost everything and everyone you loved and when you had nothing left except for memories there was only one thing that you had to hold onto. It was hope. Hope that one day you’d be able to feel something. Feel anything and the first thing you’d feel was something real. Something that made you feel like you did before your world was broken. Something beautiful and whole and pure. Then and only then, you’d know you were alive because not feeling anything was the saddest thing of all. It meant you had lost all hope and you were dead to the world. Dead to yourself. And that would be a pity. Least, that’s what his father had told him, more or less. As for the logic of it all the pup thought that the Beta’s beliefs were strange. He knew that stars couldn’t be made from wolves. His father told him that when wolves passed on, their bodies turned to dust and they returned back to the earth from where they from. He didn’t think that the dust could float all the way up to the skies. But her beliefs were her beliefs. And in matters concerning death, it was not for him to say what was right or what was wrong. The Beta, as with every else, had a right to believe whatever she wanted about life after death. Personally, he did not believe that a wolf could be stars but perhaps it was more comforting to think that way. Renier had not lost anyone important to him but he could guess that once someone you cherished and lost was no longer with you then you would want to keep that person alive somehow. Even if it was in a pattern of stars. And if that was what provided what you needed to remember that person, to give strength then there was nothing wrong with that. But Renier could see how the stars could be wolves, could appear to look like wolves though. And it was comforting to think that a wolf could be watching over them, a thought that put the mind at ease. His mind connected the dots, joining in a multitude of lines to form his father, who he saw as big and strong. And directly above it, another cluster of stars that could have formed his mother. And as he spied another pattern just west to where his paw was pointing them he murmured, laying his paw down,“Maybe my father will be up there with your father Miss Juno.”He glanced at her, rolling over so that he was partially on his stomach with his fore-legs laid out straight on the ground and said,“Are you tired? I can take care of myself so you don’t have to worry about me.”

| Amid the slightest ponder, the gracious fae could pin-point each and ever aspect beyond the living spirits built into the stars. The irony of it all being is that she seemed to be the only one whom thought of them to be the ghosts of their pasts, warriors to which earned a place in the nightly skies - but more or less, the rarity, despite it's ironic description, made her quite unique. She marveled these beliefs like as if they were a child of her own, but she would not force such things upon another if it be the last of her, which were natural rights. They had every reason to believe in what they chose, as well as the privacy they deserved, it was whether or not someone was to follow those traditions that made them the same. Even then, they wouldn't be the same. Because everyone was different. She allowed the silence to bring them closer, allowing him time to process her words and very limited explanations to her beliefs in that of only the nightly sounds. The last image to which came to rest was the face of her father, whom would've been too old by now to carry on his leadership, and perished with the rest of her ancestors. They carried a strong pack, but Juno feared that she would not be able to live the life she wished for if she chose to stay. With that, if she were to not of left in the first place, she would not be here with the mere, less-experienced wolf today. As Zephren's golden hues faded from her mind, her ears narrowed, to which the image was replaced by reality, and soon the stars could be seen once more before her. The Beta female smiled cautiously to herself, minding the silence to which came between them and so on. However, her mind flickered to the voice of him, finding shelter despite it's youth within it, and looking to him to assure his knowing that she was listening well to his words - and his alone, for he was the only one worth listening to while she laid within the pasture, here. When she contained little to which all he said, Juno could not help but allow a smile to remain crossed among her face, her lips curled marvelously into a beautiful gesture. She turned back tot he stars and whispered in return, "I'm sure he will, Renier.." She said at last, watching the skies shine with softly closed eyes.
Her lungs retained air in slow, large breaths through her mouth, slowly opening her eyes as she exhaled the carbonic remains into the air around her. She could not recall the last she had been given a long rest, but from what she could tell, is her body was in dire need of it, however, she would fight to stay awake as long as she could beneath the stars. Her tired, gentle green orbs flitted over to Renier, her smile no longer as strong and bright, for it had now shown through her lacking of energy, and appeared effortlessly tired before him. As much as she tried to at least appear strong before the younger wolf, it could not be helped. Nature had it's own way of saying things, and the night was beginning to dim the longer she laid out into the soft, petaled lands with the apprentice male. "I shall be fine, young lad. Though perhaps thou should be running to home soon - I shall remain here and rest for a while till I can gain my strength once more to find my way home to my den as well." Juno leaned back on her stomach and outstretched her arms in front of her, her claws extending outwards while a faint yawn curled off her pinkish black tongue. The furs upon her neck ruffled as she shivered and soon found herself settled into a curled up heap of black. Only her eyes could be seen within the furred orb resting beneath the blossom tree. They turned to stars first once last time before hitting Renier's soft blues within the mess of things, "I wish thou a kind farewell and beautiful night.. Remain safe on your journeyed return." Juno's eyes soon closed, her tail tucked around her while her muzzle nestled into her own side. She awaited the pitter-patter of his paws to leave, but if he so wished to stay a while longer as she slept, she would not mind.
She slept soundly beneath the stars. |
