Name: Breeze

Gender: Female

Age: 3 years

Pack: Agavos

Rank Requested: Warrior

Appearance:
Breeze could easily be considered pretty. Not in the small and cute way that one may consider many females, but in a rugged and elegant way. This Grey Wolf is a respectable size and has a well proportioned body. Standing just over 31 inches to the shoulder (79 cm) and weighing a healthy 134 pounds, the she-wolf is very strong. Breeze has plenty of muscle, but not enough to make her look bulky. A stranger might assume she cannot be fast because of her size, but that would be a mistake. Breeze can be swift and can run at a decent pace for long distances. Speed isn't her best quality, but at least she can run as fast as an average wolf. No matter how fast she moves, Breeze has a certain grace, confidence, and power in her gait. She moves most easily through forests and underbrush.  These physical traits help make her a great warrior and a good hunter.

Her dense pelt is a slate grey that becomes dusted with dark brown during winter, and mottled with pale brown and black during the warmer months. She has a fluffy tail, which is often held slightly higher than a neutral position to show her self-confidence. Her muzzle is a light creamy grey, except on the top, which is darker. Pale creamy grey also covers her belly and the backs of her forelegs. Breeze has dark grey markings on her face, which match the color of her ears and tail tip. The largest marking is shaped like an upside-down "Y" on her forehead. The two branches start at the inside corners of her bright amber eyes, and join ends between her triangular ears. Breeze also has two eyebrow-like circular markings on the sides of the "Y". Streak of coal grey create lines from the outer corners of her eyes to the sides of her face. Her ears, back, and right shoulder bear multiple scars. The she-wolf's left ear also has two small nicks in it. These are all from fights with wolves and other animals. If a wolf were to look very closely at Breeze's pelt, (s)he might see the very faint lines of only slightly fur which cover her scars. Those brilliant, warm, golden amber eyes shine like twin suns, constantly glittering with determination and confidence.

History:
Far in the east, there was a pack which lived among the ancient trees and thick verdure of a large forest. During the harsh months of winter, a family was blessed with the arrival of two healthy pups. Both parents were Commanders (or Elites) of their pack, who were fair leaders. As the only daughter and largest pup, Breeze was determined to be the best warrior in the pack. She was more out-going and adventurous than her younger brother, Flint. Breeze waited eagerly for summer so she could start her apprenticeship. With the change of the seasons, the siblings began training. Their proud parents were absolutely delighted when Breeze was chosen to be a Beta's apprentice. She worked hard to learn the various techniques for hunting and fighting. As the days grew longer, the apprentice spent her time learning lessons with mock battles, spars, group hunts with other apprentices, hunts alone, and various chores around camp.

The grey fae was a quick and energetic learner, which certainly impressed her mentor. Breeze was a very confident and determined young she-wolf who always respected her packmates. Meanwhile, Flint had decided to take the peaceful and quiet path of a Healer. Despite their surprise, the family respected his decision. He spent most of his time learning the various plants and medicines with his mentor. His gentle disposition made him the perfect candidate for the Healer's apprentice. Unlike her quiet, humble brother, Breeze was proud and ambitious. She wanted to be a leader, just like her parents. Breeze was determined to earn her place among her packmates. So that's what she did.

After a year and a half of training, the dark pelted female was promoted to Delta. She was still too young to be Elite or Beta, but that wasn't a problem. Instead she focused on doing her jobs for her pack. In the following months, the leaves of spring began to unfurl, shrouding the forest in a pale cloak of new greenery. Her brother had announced his new status a full-fledged Healer. All seemed well, even when Breeze spent a full day hunting with another Delta. Yet, as the two young warriors were about to discover, all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately, tragedy often strikes when one least expects it. Just as the pair brought down a small deer, a warning howl sounded from camp. The two young wolves abandoned their prey and rushed back to their packmates. Nothing could prepare Breeze for the horrid scene.

A large rival pack had invaded, clearly outnumbering her own packmates. The clearing and surrounding territories were filled with snarls and howls. The noise of war assaulted her ears, but she did not cower. Instead, Breeze leapt among the clashing bodies with a snarl. The strangers were ruthless, not opposed to killing her family and friends. The sight of the brutes murdering all the wolves she loved unleashed a deep hatred and malice from within. Eyes alight with rage, Breeze attacked furiously. She  slashed, and snapped at any foe who dared face her. Pain laced her body, but the grey she-wolf ignored her wounds and defended her home. Soon her packmate and fellow Delta was at her side. The pair worked as a team and sent many wolves fleeing in pain, or at least have them wounds to remember.

Despite their efforts, the intruders still outnumbered them. Eventually, exhasted and weakened from wounds, her packmates fell. They would rather to go down fighting than flee. At least the rival pack had the decency to spare the fae's and pups. For some reason, they refused to kill any wolves younger than three years. The other Delta was three. She fell at the paws of a great brown pelted brute. Breeze realized the strangers had killed her parents, her mentor, and the Alpha's. With all high ranks eliminated, the rival pack announced they would take over. Horrified and furious, the dark furred fae fled into the woods, determined to never live under the reign of such terrible wolves.

For awhile, the large grey female stalked through unfamiliar lands. The unforgiving winter months soon forced Breeze to seek shelter with a small northern pack. Even though the snow still lingered, Breeze couldn't bear to stay within the tiny pack until spring. They were very kind, but she knew very well that it was not where she belonged. Her ambition called to her. It urged the she-wolf to explore and find a pack where she could shine. Unable to resist the tug any longer, she said her goodbyes. The grey female began to wander once more, turning east. She desires nothing more than to find a pack to call home and an Alpha to whom she could be loyal.

Example Post:
This example is from a thread I made in another roleplay site. The character's name is Nova.

The warm summer wind blew gently through the forest. It whispered as it went and let the trees pass on its secrets. All sorts of creatures went about their day. A peaceful morning in Aiseiri. The she-wolf smiled to herself. Energy pumped through her veins and collected in her muscles, yet she did not move. Nova stood still as a statue and observed her surroundings. She simply let her senses take it all in. Her black ears listened to the music of the woods while her blue eyes regarded the dark ferns and mice and even a woodpecker. The bird drummed out a song against the rough bark of an ancient oak. We all have our songs. Show me yours, oh woodpecker. Do you sing to the wind? Perhaps to your family, or even the tree on which you sit?

The silver wolf glanced up. Through the web of branches, she could see fluffy wisps of white floating east. Nova loved clouds. They brought rain and snow... and it was fun to watch them take different shapes. Within them (or behind them) danced Thunderbird, who her old pack had regarded as the Sacred Bearer of Happiness. A rustling noise brought her attention back to the earth. Slowly, the she-wolf lowered her silver head. Her clear icy gaze scanned the underbrush meticulously. Her senses quickly pinpointed the source of the noise. A chipmunk moved in the grass only a fox-length away. It was young, too small to be worth hunting. Be careful little one. We wolves will hunt you once you grow up! Nova thought. She took a moment to breathe deeply and stretch.

It was time to move on. The silver wolf dashed through the forest as her elation bubbled up inside her. She let the breeze guide her where it wanted. The trees bowed, their branches directed her and waved to her as she raced past. Suddenly, the wind was howling in her ears as the trees thinned. Nova slowed to a halt and stared in amazement.

Beyond the edge of the woods, the ground fell away. Far below, the earth unfurled outward. The valley was picturesque with its vibrant forests, clear lakes, and lush meadows.  To the west was a border of mountains. Overhead, the clouds slowly sailed through the open sky. Candenta! It was the most beautiful place she had ever seen.
