| Over a week ago Katyusha had simply walked out of Erenyx, knowing from that moment she was never to return. She hadn't spoken to anyone in her pack before she left, hadn't said a word to any of them she had considered herself closer to, or even said goodbye to her den, the very one she had given birth to her daughter in. Katyusha hadn't felt at home in Erenyx since the death of Steele. For a short time after her loss of memory she had slept easily in the now dark pack, but those times were long gone. Since the blood of the pack's most innocent stained the soil for nothing more than the leader who would drag them to hell with him's entertainment she could no longer call that place home. Sure Steele hadn't always made the most popular decisions, but he had never been as bad as Teren. How fondly Katyusha remembered her first days in Erenyx. Being taken prisoner after an incredibly embarrassing fight wasn't exactly a fond memory, but she did remember her first time seeing Steele. Her heart fluttered at the thought. He was so big, powerful. His aura simply demanded respect and everywhere he went he certainly got it. From the very first second she saw him she knew she wanted him. The way he held himself, his voice, even his scent made her heart race. But he was gone now, for over a year he had been gone, taken from her by the monster that now claimed the pack.
It was all of this that drove her decision, and it was this that caused her to cross the neutral lands in the last several days to find the new pack she had heard of in her travels. She knew very little of the Alpha here, or the members of the pack, though she suspected she would see a few of the wolves that had disappeared from Erenyx there as well. Carefully the small fae moved to the scented border of the land, not daring to cross the set border just yet. It had taken her most of the day to travel here, so by now the sky glowed orange with the fading sun. Hoping she hadn't arrived so late she would be spending the night here. Tipping her head back the fae would let out a long, sad song to the fading sun, hoping to summon on of the pack to her, and hoping to be admitted to this pack, as failure almost certainly meant death. |

| As the sun was beginning to set over the horizon, green eyes watched its mighty glow. To be the sun would make one the most powerful in all the world. The sun controlled many things, such as life itself. It could take away precious water or plants, just by glowing brighter than before. Desmond made a habit to look to the sun. He loved when the sun was just about to set. All the colors and changes in the sky was gorgeous. He often thought of the Aurora Borealis he had heard of years ago. But on this evening, the Alpha would not be left alone to ponder life’s mysteries. Instead he was startled by the howl of a fae, sad and depressing. The howl itself interested him. Why would a sad wolf be coming here? Quietly, he got up from his position of being sprawled out on the ground. He loved to bask in the sun, even when it was fading into night. He shook himself of the loose dirt and walked along the unbeaten path. As he made ways for the border, he marked a tree along the outer rim. Desmond often found himself enjoying the Alpha marks. It was fun, and face it, no female could do it like he could. He bet tons of females wished they could pee standing up, almost like they had penis envy or something. He loved a good mark scent. Sometimes he would try and aim on each of the petals below him, trying to hit every single one on a flower. He laughed to himself as he finished, just thinking about it. The Alpha wandered casually, not making haste to the issue at paw. His tail hung relaxed until he neared her presence. Curling his tail over his spine, his eyes looked to her as he appeared through the trees. His hulking frame lingered in the darkness until he came out from the shadows of the trees. ”What’s the problem with you doll face?” |

| As the moments passed Katyusha would keep her formal position, seated on her haunches with front legs held before her firmly, keeping her upper body held straight up to demonstrate pride and worth. From a very young age she had been taught that a wolf who couldn't keep their posture wouldn't be worth the attempt to keep order in a pack. Tilting her head back slightly Katyusha would allow herself to gaze up upon the warm spring sky, admiring the way the sparse clouds that dotted the ocean of blue above her seemed to glow orange as the sun claimed the sky. Even in it's dying breaths it ensured all knew who dominated the day, until the moon would rise to claim the night. But one could always take faith that even during the darkest of nights, the sun would soon rise again.
It was a cycle repeated each day, for all to observe. Each had their benefits, and each had their flaws. The sun warmed the earth, giving life and energy to everything. It brought out the joy in people, and painted the meadows and forests in beautiful splashes of color and warmth. But the night certainly had its benefits as well. It brought in the cool escape from the heat of the sun, as well as aided those who's vision was not hindered by the dark such as hers on the hunt. And one would be foolish to overlook the sheer beauty of the night sky, with each distant star competing for it's beauty to be known over that of the gorgeous moon.
However, these thoughts would not be permitted to linger. With her nose pointed up at the sky it would be quite easy for the fae to catch the scent of the brute who drew closer. As his large frame appeared through the dimming light of the forest the honey-coated fae would move to her paws, tail hanging between her legs to show respect and submission, without tucking it to show fear or weakness. As his eyes came to rest upon her Katyusha would pin her ears back and dip her head low to him, waiting to be addressed before she dared to speak. Although as his first words met her ears the fae's eyes would go wide for a moment with the sheer confusion of his informality. Lifting her head slowly Katyusha would make no comment of his tone, or informal title for her "Thank-you for coming sir, I do appreciate your time." she said, keeping her voice formal and respectful. "What troubles me sir is the direction the pack I once called home has taken, and that is what has brought me here sir. If you would be willing to have me, I would be grateful for a spot in your pack." she said, lifting her gaze to watch his reaction to the question, although not daring to meet his eyes with her soft silver orbs.

| Looking to the fae before him, he held no judgment. She was one of the more respectful wolves he had seen within the borders of his lands. She knew what respect was and how to show it. Desmond was proud of this, though he spoke not a word of that. Inside his mind, he could hear things his father used to say to such wolves. He lifted them up and granted them privileges among all the rest. Desmond thought that had always been foolish, but it was his father’s style. The new Alpha looked over her, watching the change in her appearance. And when she spoke, he listened to every word. The pack he knew she hailed from was of Erenyx. The smell was ghastly and horrid, though fainted upon her back. She had not been there recently. It would take a while for the putrid smell to dissolve off her hide. The green-eyed being thought about marking her, just to hide the smell from any other wolves, but he knew it would be in poor taste and rather insulting. Instead, he knew time would allow such things to heal and change. Clearing his throat he spoke in a gentle voice. ”I know this pack you speak of, though I don’t know all the horrible things it entails. I have actually managed to get some members from that very pack. Elite Fel is here in my lands, serving as my Elite. In the future a promotion will be in store for her, and we have many other positions available as well. As for the life here in Agavos, it is very different than what you are used to. I have also heard it is very different from Helidos as well. I will be honest, however, this is my first time running and operating a pack. I was a Beta in my last pack, but unfortunately, that did not last long. We are not weak like Helidos or evil like Erenyx… We are more… mmm how do you say… chaotic? I guess. I will make you fight for what you want, but not to an extent that you would die. But I also will not be just handing out ranks and crap like that. I want hard work and dedication. So before you may be accepted into my pack, please tell me your name, your rank in your former pack, and the skills you have to bring to mine. Until I know all this, I cannot allow you entrance.”Kat, you mentioned “Aleu” earlier when you were talking about Kat, please adjust that. |

| As the Alpha took his time looking her over Katyusha would lower her gaze again, remaining silent until he addressed her again. Katyusha had grown to hate the stench of Erenyx that stained her coat, no longer proudly wearing the scent of Steele as she had so long ago. The small fae had spent several days roaming the neutrals, and even spent a day in the lush lavender fields she had found on her first day. Yesterday the small fae had even tried bathing in the cool waters of the mountain stream she had found in an attempt to remove the stench of Erenyx from her, as the scent was equally likely to get her killed around the other packs, and hurt any chance she had to get into this new pack. As she was addressed again the fae would lift her head, nodding quickly at the mention of her pack. As he went on to talk about the wolf named Fel Katyusha would nod slowly, having seen the wolf around in both packs she had occupied, although they had never really gotten to know each other in any way. As he finished speaking, the younger fae would take a moment to carefully select her words before speaking. "Yes sir, it is quite...infamous in these lands, though I will spare you the details, as they are of no concern to you." she said honestly, assuming if he had been interested in knowing the inner problems of Erenyx he would have asked. "I am quite familiar with Fel, as we have been in both other packs together, though we have never gotten to know each other. As for this pack being different, that is my hope sir, and I am eager to learn the ways of this new land if I am fortunate enough to be granted admission. As for fighting for my position sir, that is something I am more than willing and used to participating in. I do not expect packs to simply give unearned ranks. Those in higher ranks must prove they can handle such a rank, or it could lead to chaos in a time the pack cannot afford it, and could even cost a wolf their life. As for my name sir, I am Katyusha. I was mate-to-be to Alpha Steele and Elite of Erenyx until Teren took over the pack. After he murdered my mate we had some...differences in opinion and I was demoted to warrior. As for my skills, I am a very skilled warrior who was trained by the Alpha Steele himself for nearly a year, learning the skills that earned me my position, and would have eventually earned me Alphess. I have also trained an apprentice in the past for a short time before he left the pack, which I would be more than willing to do again if you so desire sir. I do hope I answered all of your questions sir?" she asked, trying to recall if she missed anything or if there was anything he still wished to know about her. |

| Desmond knew a thing or two about scattered and dark pasts. He listened to her intently, her story was horrible. This was the reason he never wanted to love. This was the reason he wanted to only worry for himself and his pack. Once you mix another into the worry areas, then only stress and pain will reside with you. He nodded his head to her question. ”Katyusha, you are welcome to my lands. In my pack, I wish for you to serve me as a Warrior. Since you were trained by an Alpha, I wish to also train with you. Well, I want you to be my Apprentice. You will carry the rank of Warrior, but you will stay by me when I call on you. It sounds like you’ve had a rough life, and I will not tolerate any kind of treatment like that in these lands. If there are wolves who don’t like you, they will have to come through me first. I will teach you all that I know, and maybe one day you will rise above the rest. For now, I am headed back to camp. You should get some rest, for tomorrow we begin training. If you wish to come with me, you may, or you can search the lands on your own. Whatever you choose, it would be best to decide before the stars cover the sky.” Desmond turned his back towards her, though his head was still facing her. If she came with him, they would speak more. But if she chose to wander alone, then he would retreat to his den. You don’t have to reply to this, but welcome home! |

| Katyusha listened carefully to the Alpha as he spoke, dipping her head as he spoke his decision on her rank, the fae honestly just relieved she was being granted safety in his lands. As he went on the younger fae's eyes would go wide for a moment as the initial shock of such an honor rushed over her, before her head would dip again respectfully as he finished speaking. "Thank you for accepting me sir, I cannot express to you how grateful I am for this opportunity, and I promise I shall serve you in any way you need sir. As for being your apprentice sir, I am honored beyond words. I will be by your side whenever you need me night or day, rain or shine and I promise I will not make you regret this decision. Thank you so much for this opportunity sir." she said, the tone of her voice showing just how excited and happy she truly was for such an opportunity, even if it was quite clear she was trying to remain respectful and hide it. "If I may request one thing before you retire for the night sir, could you show me the way to the pack clearing?" she requested, wanting to find somewhere to rest her head for the night so she could bring her best to training tomorrow. First impressions were everything, and she wasn't about to let him down on her very first day. With those words Katyusha would follow after the Alpha, wondering just what was in store for her in the coming weeks, and for the first time in as long as she could remember, she was excited for the next day.
