War of Change (Border) Empty
PostSubject: War of Change (Border) War of Change (Border) Icon_minitimeAugust 18th 2015, 01:41

Food. With the pass of spring and the birth of all the scrumptious little critters she could fell, Nymph never yet met a day where food did not fill her stomach. While she was still scrawny as a bone, the she-wolf felt like she would explode from all of the food that had satisfied her hunger. The blood corrupted her. The pang rifled in her mind, demanding more and more sacrifice - there must be blood. It stained her prickly black and white fur, and the gleaming glow of her emerald eyes sparkled with glee. The fading life was pleasure under her claws. With so many days in her past with a stomach calling out in painful hunger, Nymph never missed a chance to give herself a more luxurious life. However, the days grew tiresome merely hunting, eating, and sleeping. She craved something more.

At the border her tiny legs bowed into a downward facing stretch, before returning to an upright position and extending her back legs out one by one to pump herself up. 'One, two, three,' she thought to herself, before arching her neck up and giving as much of a howl as she could muster. A little crackly, but still good. Smiling toothily, Nymph wagged her prickly tail and pranced in place excitedly. Upon her most recent thoughts, the she-wolf had decided that joining a pack would allow her to hunt even more than she normally did. Thusly, her desire for blood would be satiated and would be of some use. This morning she had cleaned the red gold from her pelt, and by mid-day approached the borders of a seemingly dark pack that made her fur stand up with thrilling excitement. 'Oh, this is exciting' She thought to herself taking a quick glance down at the offering she had caught earlier out in the neutral lands. A plump, brown spotted rabbit lay close to her paws - carefully placed like a treasure on the grass. Oh how it had been a treat to chase. The race for the vermin's life was fast, but such a fat little creature could not compare to the speed of Nymph's determination. Down it had gone, and in had her teeth sank into it's neck.

Life is quick. Life is hard. Life is kill or be killed.

Enthusiastically awaiting for a reply, Nymph's mind played a story with childish imagination that took a sudden turn for psychopathic tendencies. A new chapter was about to begin.

[OOC- It came out different than my usual style. Apologies if it is a little confusing. I tried to match the crazy mind of Nymph.]

(Ooc - I'll make this quick for you. Also, start post count here.)

His discontent with this place only grew stronger by the day. He resented just about everyone he came across - unless they'd expressed some interest in leaving with him. Only his mate deserved any sort of respect, only she could pry a kind word from him. They had scouted areas to the North and believed themselves to have found a place worth settling, but they would have to wait. They needed followers and they needed time.it had to be the right time for them to leave. A point at which it would make a major impact upon Erenyx. I their hatred and spite, he and Chiara wanted to cast a crippling blow against their tyrannical Alpha. Not that he even deserved the title. But the Guardian had to keep up appearances for the sake of his family's safety. He grumbled and snarled, stalked around in a sour mood all day, but he did his job so no one could get angry at him - or the ones he loved. He padded about the borders when the song came to him. He lowered his head, hackles raising and a snarl brewing in his maw. He stalked toward the source of the sound - a slight fae with the wiry build of a swift huntress. He slid from the shadows, barely a sound of his approach, save for the brutish growl protruding from his lip. "Who are you and why have you come here?" The copper male snarled, not in the mood to be accepting newcomers who wished to serve under the insanity of the one they called Teren.

War of Change (Border) Empty
PostSubject: Re: War of Change (Border) War of Change (Border) Icon_minitimeAugust 27th 2015, 16:41

The dazzling fantasies of creative destruction that filled the fae's mind faded quickly away as the snarl ripped through the air. Oh! The wolves here sure moved fast. ' Drats! Aw, I was just getting to the good part, too - supreme leadership over the world! Although, I don't think the world would last very long in my paws! Whoops, I dropped it! Hehe, my, someone is a little grumpy today! He just needs a yummy food in his tummy!' She thought to herself, trying not to smile or giggle. However, she failed miserably at it - Nymph's face quirked this way and that making short snorts of giggles. Realizing her lunacy, the she-wolf bowed her head to the strange male wolf and sank down on one leg. "Your graciousness! May I call you that? Hehe, well, you just get back to me on that - I offer you the plumpest rabbit I could find! May he taste as scrumptious as he looks. Oh oh, do I get to pick what I want to be now? I'm just a teensy weensy bit new to this - sorry!" A smile reached from one ear to the other as she stood back up. Nosing the fat little rabbit near her, Nymph made sure the brute knew where to get the vermin if he so wanted a snack. She didn't know how to behave, or how to talk to other wolves. The childish thoughts that stretched far in her brain just seemed to spray forth from her mouth without even a second thought. "When I was a puppy, I wanted to be a hunter! And so I became a hunter! Isn't that cool how that works? 'Cept, there wasn't much to hunt - but that's okay, I followed my dreams! Yay me! Don't worry, though. I know how to round up those yummy foods that like to run from me! Whoopsie! I think I got distracted. So, can I be a hunter, pretty please? There wasn't a thought or real care about what pack she was joining or who was in control. All she wanted to do was run around, hunt, and eat. Boy, what a life.

The snarling brute gazed upon the irritating fae as she giggled. His eyes narrowed. Giggling? Is she sure she belongs here? He rolled his eyes watching the fae bow, unable to keep her trap shut for more than a second. He held his snarl, blanketing her submission with his distaste. He knew if he wanted to start a new pack, this wasn't the way to gain followers. But he wasn't in the mood to deal with wannabe brides of their ludicrous leader. This fae was so blissfully ignorant of what she would find if she dared court Teren, it almost made him pity her. Almost. Instead, in his own twisted, malicious way, he wanted to help her realise her little dream, pathetic as it was. Flaming eyes closed to the world for a moment as he drew a steadying breath. His tensed muscles visibly relaxed, his fur settled its militant rampage over his skin. But his tail remained curled above his rump, signalling his dominance over the smaller wolf. Eyes opened once more, softer, molten now. She boldly rose without his leave, angering him, but he could use it. This demon had a game to play. Her cheery, childish voice pricked his ears like needles, inflaming his annoyance, but he pushed it down. "I did not give you leave to rise, did you wish to challenge my authority? It is not wise when you wish to join our ranks. You should learn respect." He breathed deeply through his nose as though calming himself and centring his thoughts. "But, maybe you are simply used to dominance. Yes, I see it now. A natural born leader. Why I could... But no, I shouldn't..." He looked up at her thoughtfully, as if he had an idea, then looked around, as if he might get in trouble if he said any more. He cleared his throat, raising his voice slightly. So, you trained as a huntress, eh? Would it surprise you to know I was once a Hunter myself? We could always do with more dedicated wolves like you. Hunters, in my opinion, are the most important of all our pack members. If you applied yourself, then I'm sure... Ah but there I go again." He trailed off, changing the subject. "So tell me, if I let you pass and become one of us... What could you offer me?"

War of Change (Border) Empty
PostSubject: Re: War of Change (Border) War of Change (Border) Icon_minitimeAugust 29th 2015, 14:30

While the brute appeared to simmer his temper just a tad, his rigid stance and cold eyes still hung over the small black she-wolf. However, there wasn't a drop of fear in her mind - Nymph was far too ignorant and care-free to understand how strange and rather annoying she was in this place. When the large brute spoke again, though, the she-wolf pricked her ears up as if in sudden realization. Dropping the weight out from under her paws, Nymph almost immediately plopped down to the ground with her skinny legs underneath her. "No no no, your graciousness! Never never never would I do that! My leg was just getting all shaky so I wanted-" Looking up at the large male with her emerald eyes, the she-wolf cut off her words. Tilting her head to the side and wagging her tail, Nymph giggled. "WHOA! You're even more tall at this angle! You'd, like.. be able to tromp through the forest and knock down everything! Look out, trees!" A toothy grin never left her scraggly looking face, and the fae seemed very amused by everything.

Watching him continue, Nymph's eyes got large and her tail sped up its pace in curiosity as the brute seemed like he was hiding something. "Oh oh oh, a secret? What is it, what is it? I've never been a leader! Does that mean we can play, 'Nymph Says?' That's, like, my favorite game! Well, I've never played it myself, but i've heard it's fun! Oh yeah! That's my name - Nymph!" She spoke excitedly but in a hushed tone - almost as if anyone could be watching them at any moment. It didn't matter much, though, because she was still too loud of a wolf. 'Ooh, what sneaky wolves!' However, as he began to speak about hunting, the she-wolf sprang up on her paws and did a little dance on them. "Yes, sir! I grew up without getting any scrumptious yummies, so I made sure to learn to get them myself. Wow, I betcha you didn't ever have any troubles with hunting! The thought of the brute just stepping on any prey that he wanted flashed into her vast mind, and the familiar taste of blood almost seemed to fill her mouth. It took everything she had not to burst into a giggling, snorting fit. However, his question did get through to her - what could she offer him? The process of thinking almost made her head hurt, but the fae nodded in an idea. "Well you see, Sir Graciousness, I love to hunt! When I say love, I mean i'm super duper wow obsessed with it! Ooh, the feeling of the warm flesh in your claws and the thick blood in your mouth - wow. I think i'm a little insane, really. Oh well! Life is so much more fun this way! Whoopsie, getting distracted again! Anywaay, I would be willing to be your server! You just give me a when you most like your meals and BAM, i'll make sure to get it for you! I could be your assistant if you want, too! I don't mind getting all up close and personal to the yummies - it's fun!" She wouldn't mind being an underling to this grumpy male - in face it would mean she got to hunt even more. She would never have any problems getting to sleep at night now, after running around everywhere!

(ooc - sorry, it's going to be a short one)

His contempt for the female only continued to swell the more she spoke. She acted like a seven month old pup in a three year olds body. But, from analysis of her physique and her words, she was no threat to him. She was shorter, smaller, built for speed if anything at all. She had enough scars on her body to attest to her lack of fighting ability. But perhaps she could be trained. Before that idiot Pain wandered off and got himself killed, Magnus had been turning him into a fine little thrall. He was beaten and broken and well on his way to being rebuilt in his masters image. Fae's were often easier to break, they had softer hearts than brutes, were more easily broken by words that blows were often needed only on the worst cases. This fae could perhaps be moulded with a little kindness, a little ambition planted in the mind. He had just the idea, but he had to play it right. Her whispers already told him she knew how to play this game. "I have no need of a personal hunter, the pack must come before the individual," he said dutifully. "But I could do with a new apprentice. My last one was weak and couldn't handle my methods, but I see promise in you. You could be my new apprentice, if you were so inclined. I could have you gain the respect of your pack and fly through the ranks like they were no more difficult to earn than digging in the dirt." He looked around, as if ascertaining no one was nearby even though he already knew the answer. There was no one. He'd circled the area before coming upon the she-wolf. They were alone. He lowered his head and his voice, beckoning her to come closer so she could hear. "I could set you up to rule," He whispered seductively, his alluring voice like velvet soft fur. It was a rope, drawing her in.

War of Change (Border) Empty
PostSubject: Re: War of Change (Border) War of Change (Border) Icon_minitimeAugust 31st 2015, 01:20

He acted strangely, and his mischievous acts and words were laced with toxin. Beware. Alas, whether Nymph noticed it or not her mood towards him did not sway. He spoke of opportunity and fun things - like digging in the dirt and flying! She liked fun, didn't she? "Wait... you mean to tell me.." Pretending to sound serious, the she-wolf tried not to giggle and break the tone as she spoke. "..that you can make me fly? ...Awesome! I can just fwooosh into the sky! It's a bird! No wait, it's.. still a bird! Oh oh, I get it now - it's me!" She giggled, snorting a few times, and pretended to fly by jutting her front right leg out into a heroic pose and sticking her tail straight out. Whee! Her mouth blabbed continuously without even a thought, but inside her mind was ticking with interest. Apprentice. Ranks. Respect. 'Hmm.. Grumpyface wants me as his apprentice..' What did he want with her? She wasn't pretty, she wasn't strong, and honestly all she could do was run on her twiggy legs. One trip on a rock and her leg might just break. No one had ever cared about her. All she had been was someone in the way, or perhaps a snack for the bigger predators that thought she would roll over and die. Die. Blood. A shiver ran down the fae's spine.

As the brute took to the area to make sure there were no others, the she-wolf sighed under her breath and felt her smile turn down into a frown. It was so very tiring. However, as he rounded to face her again, Nymph placed that rather insane smile back on her face and wagged her prickly tail. He was close, and he beckoned her to approach even closer. Naively she followed his orders. It was all whispers now glistening with the voice of alluring promise. Rule? Surely this brute was a little insane himself - HER with a commanding position? They'd all be dead - either from poor judgement or from annoyance. However, it was interesting. Nymph gave a toothy grin and her ear twitched. " Hehe, you're silly! Are we making silly voices now? I wanna try!" While idiotic, the female returned to speaking in a hushed tone. Clearing her throat, the she-wolf's voice changed to one almost normal for a wolf her age, and her emerald eyes appeared to glaze over. She almost looked like a different wolf - a normal one. "Ruling seems so very fun. What do you have in mind, your graciousness?" A sly smile crossed her mouth before the glistening glee of insanity made its way back into her facial features. She giggled as usual in her strange pitch, although quietly, and all seemed normal to her again. Perhaps somewhere underneath all of the childish behavior was a wolf still considered a proper being. However, they were drowning under the antics of the she-wolf stricken with ailment. Soon they would run out of breath, and she would be nothing more than a babbling psycho. Time spent apart from others did questionable things to a wolf.

(OOC - Nymph is pretty confusing and so is the post - sorry.)

(ooc - this will be short)

She took his words too literally. Although... he smirked mentally. He could make her fly if she wished. He could take her up the Frozen Fang Pass and make her fly. The thought of her thin dark form soaring awakened the old beast within, the merciless killer, the Guardian. It awakened the side of him his mother had created. He stamped down that side of him, focusing on the fae before him. He kept his voice low, maintaining the charade of secrecy. "All in good time, pet. First we must train you, mould you into something truly formidable." He gave a sly grin. In any case this would work for him. If he did this perfectly, this whelp would be leading Erenyx and thus weakening his enemy. If he couldn't quite achieve that, he'd have himself an apprentice and ally. And if not that, shed be dead and no longer a giggling burden on anyone. Each outcome had its own delights, but the more he considered her ruling this accursed pack, the more he liked it. If only he could get Teren to fall for her - if not get him out of the way entirely. "Now, there is only one thing before you may call yourself a hunter of Erenyx and cross these borders with me. You must swear yourself to this pack, to serve loyally and faithfully until the end of your days. And you do this?"
