Cry for help - Ariatisse Empty
PostSubject: Cry for help - Ariatisse Cry for help - Ariatisse Icon_minitimeSeptember 20th 2015, 08:21

Ariatisse sighed with relief as she was hit with a full blast of pack scent. She had made it, she finally made it to the packs. Ariatisse had been running at her full speed, and she was tired and covered in blood. She slowed down, but ended up just plopping onto the ground, exhausted. Ariatisse got ready to turn over to tell Hyptic that she made it, when it hit her once again that her dear friend was dead. 'That stupid bear.... I swear I should have ripped it to pieces.'She thought, replaying that moment in her mind. It had only been moments since then, and the pain was still there. Hyptic's voice replayed in her mind over and over, 'Run Aria! Save yourse-', she never got to finish. The bear dealt the final blow right there.  Ariatisse missed her friend terribly, and she wanted to just curl up and be sad. But she couldn't, her wounds were pretty bad and if she laid here much longer they might just kill her. Letting out a weak howl, she prayed that someone could hear her. She howled again, and it was a bit stronger, but not by much. Ariatisse laid her head on the ground, waiting and hoping someone heard her cry for help.

The dark pelted female stalked through the forest, molten amber eyes scanning the borders for any signs of wandering wolves. It was actually enjoyable as long the heat wasn't unbearable. It was something to focus on. Her muscles tensed as the scent of fresh blood drifted to her on the wind. It's coming from somewhere a bit further ahead. The Delta decided after a moment. She cautiously prowled towards the source, eyes searching for movement and ears flicking to catch any sign of the animal which carried the scent. Soon enough, a nearby howl, sounding quite desperate, reached her dark grey auds. The voice was undoubtedly female. Breeze did not speed up to meet the wolf. Could be a trick, or maybe she was hunting on our land...no she would have howled better than that.

The grey she-wolf wasn't about to let a canid die, especially if they wanted to join the pack. She bounded forward, emerging from the vegetation to see a wounded female lying near the border. The Delta stood a few centimeters behind the line, observing the scene quickly. It was obvious that the blood was not from prey, but she wouldn't take chances. Instead, she hid most of her worry, only appearing slightly concerned. "This is the border of Agavos. Tell your name and the reason you are injured like this." Breeze said briskly. She wasn't trying to be rude, but this wolf's attacker might still be in the area and her wounds looked rather nasty. Time was not to be wasted in this situation, so normal pleasantries were unnecessary. Her golden amber gaze scanned the verdure before turning expectantly to the canine in front of her.

Ariatisse moved her head slightly to get a good view of the wolf who had come to help her. If it even is a wolf, it may be that bear coming to finish you off... She thought to herself miserably, but when the wolf came into veiw her thoughts were dismissed because the animal was in fact, a wolf. She sighed with relief, although it sounded like a whimper. Which she was doing quite a bit of in her pain. Someone had come to help her, so hopefully she wouldn't be in any for much longer.

When the wolf spoke, all that doubt and worry came back to Ariatisse. The wolf didn't look very concerned, what if they turned her away? She couldn't remember which pack Avagos was, she had been told that of the three packs that lived here there was one of good, one of evil (well evil in her opinion), and one was the balance of the two. What if Avagos was the bad one? Whatever pack's land she had just collapsed on, she wasnt going to risk dying here by not answering the wolf. Gathering up as much strength as she could, she started to reply, barely audible. "M-my name is..Ariatisse.". At the end of that sentence her breathing quickened to a pant, for that one phrase took up much of her little energy. She took a deep breath and tried to reply once more, but only one word came out. "Bear." She looked up afterwards, her energy almost completely gone. She was going to die here, she could feel it. Ariatisse became dizzy, the wolf in front of her becoming 3. This was not good.

Ariatisse, go through BOTH of your posts and make an grammatical or spelling errors. All "I"s need to be capitalized. Contractions MUST have apostrophes. Numbers must be spelled out. This is a literate site and all of this is required.

The multicolored fae was clearly in bad shape, but not to the point that she couldn't make it through the formal acceptance questions. The Delta noticed the wolf had begun to whimper softly. She hated having to seem so business-like while another lay bleeding. Breeze nodded as the stranger stated her name. The grey female didn't want to seem overly soft, but her face was no longer a mask of indifference. Genuine concern shone in her eyes and she frowned slightly. This wolf needed some help, and fast, but that would only be possible if she was properly accepted. "I'm Delta Breeze." She replied, glancing around again warily. Her lips curved in a smile for a moment in an attempt to calm the injured she-wolf. The muscular fae's attention snapped back to Ariatisse. Bear. The predator which she loathed most. Breeze had only to glance at the terrible wounds of her company to know she spoke the truth. Alarm sent her mind reeling as she assessed her options. This wolf could lead the beast to the pack lands, especially if she had bled so much along the way. Where is it now? She wondered.

The dark pelted fae did not look at Ariatisse, but kept an eye on the forest. "A bear attacked? I need to know how far away that was. Explain what happened and why you came here. Come on, stay with me!" Breeze commanded sternly with a quick glance at the female. She was not angry, but she could not afford to be soft right now. This wolf might have led the predator towards them, or perhaps it found something else to kill. "Sit up! You aren't going anywhere, so you might as well start talking." The grey she-wolf growled. Don't give up...the last thing I need is a dead wolf on the border. That would not be fun to explain to Alpha Desmond, so keep it together Araitisse! Breeze silently urged her. The Delta needed to know more, and the only way to get answers was by getting the stranger to start talking. She turned her head to look at the weakened fae. Her expression was kind, determined, and by no means soft. "What were you doing around here anyway? Definitely not waiting for a large brown beastie to attack." She said dryly.

[[OOC: I am just gonna put this up. Poor Breeze is gonna want to destroy every bear she meets from now on lol.]]

Ariatisse started to notice her dizziness came in waves, where she would have periods of calm and others where she could barely see or hear straight. The wolf who had come to help her introduced herself as a Delta, and she felt somewhat safer and a high ranking wolf's presence.  She told her to sit up and explain what happened, and then a wave of dizziness hit her once again. She tried to lift herself up but quickly fell over, the world spinning once more. Panting, she tried to push her self up again, successful this time. She had to spread her paws out though, to keep from falling over. Ariatisse was panting, exhausted and weak, but she still found a way to speak. "It was.... a bit away... I don't think....it followed..me...", she spoke in fragments, having to catch her breath every so often. Ariatisse began to recall her experience with the bear, the awful images swimming through her mind again. "We...were headed here...Hyptic and I...then the bear came....Hyptic died....she told me to run.". She became dizzy again, this spell worse then the others. She almost fell over, but quickly steadied herself. She hoped she would stay conscious long enough to be accepted, or at least  hear the rest of the conversation.

Cry for help - Ariatisse Empty
PostSubject: Re: Cry for help - Ariatisse Cry for help - Ariatisse Icon_minitimeSeptember 25th 2015, 12:38

Breeze gave an approving nod as the other wolf made an effort to sit up. It was clear that she was a bit dizzy, for she was unsteady unless she kept a wide stance. Thankfully, it seemed she would be able to stay conscious, at least for now. The fae's words were punctuated by pants, but the Delta was simply glad she could speak clearly enough to be understood. So she came with someone else. A friend or family member perhaps? The grey she-wolf wondered. Considering the other wolf's pained expression, Breeze assumed she had been close to Hyptic. Despite her empathy for Ariatisse, the dark pelted female was most concerned for her pack's safety. The injured fae thought the bear hadn't followed, which was a relief. It certainly is possible. The beast was probably content to enjoy the prize it managed to kill already. The Delta thought with disgust. She relaxed somewhat, although she wouldn't hesitate to spring into action if needed. "I'm sorry for your loss." Breeze said empathetically. "Here in Agavos, we value respect, honesty, loyalty, and honor. If you wish to join, tell me what skills you have to offer our pack."

[[OOC: remember to check for capitalized I's and such in your posts. Thanks.]]

Ariatisse nodded and looked down as Breeze apologized for Hyptic's death. "It's okay.. It wasn't your fault..."her voice trailed off as all her memories of the black she-wolf flooded her mind. It was quite hard not to just collapse on the ground and roll around in her misery, which she very much wanted to do. But Ariatisse was not going to do something as pathetic as that when she was seriously wounded and standing in front of the only wolf that could help her for who knows how long.

The delta asked what she could offer the pack, and hunting instantly came to her mind. She was good at that. "Well, I can hunt pretty well and..."she stopped for a minute, another dizzy spell overwhelming her. Ariatisse's forepaws spread out uncomfortably, trying her best not to fall over when the world was spinning around her.
One it stopped, she once again pulled herself up, panting, and finished what she was going to say. "..I can fight too,and will defend my pack no matter what, although i do still believe hunting is my strong suit."She took a deep breath, trying to regulate it again. The dizzy came back, each one worst then the last. She found it hard to stay up, and eventually she fell over onto her side, and unfortunately one of the cuts on her side was hit with a stick, and pain shot through her. Ariatisse gritted her teeth, not wanting to cause an issue in the accepting process with her pain. Although in was very, very, hard.

The dark grey female waited, unsurprised as pain swam within the other's gaze. Remembering the dead often did that to wolves. It was obvious that this injured fae struggled with grief for Hyptic. Which pain is greater...the physical pain of her wounds, or the agony of losing someone she cares about. Breeze wondered. It seemed the lighter pelted wolf was strong willed though. She fought to stand up, but she could not stand for long. She was weakening from fatigue. Regardless, she was quick to answer about her skills. Hunting was what Ariatisse claimed to be best at. The Delta studied the tattered form before her, noting the fae's muscles and build. It was no surprise that she was better suited to hunting than fighting. Unlike Breeze, she didn't have the strong build of a warrior. Her form was a bit more lithe. Still, it was good to hear she would fight for her pack if needed. After a moment, the dark pelted she-wolf nodded. "Alright then, I expect you to prove that to be true once you are heathy once more." Breeze said with a small smile. "Do you pledge yourself to Agavos and Alpha Desmond, and promise to uphold our values?" She asked. Golden eyes shown with intensity as she asked the formal question.

Ariatisse smiled and sighed with relief as Breeze asked her to pledge to the pack, which she assumed meant she was in. She was happy that she had finally found the place she had always wanted to come, the place she dreamed about in the dark days of her pup-hood. After yet another dizzy spell, she sat as tall as she could, shaking slightly. "I do."  Ariatisse pledged to the Avagos pack, happiness pulsing through her. Although fear for her life hit her once again as a massive wave of dizziness overwhelmed her, sending her tumbling back to the ground. She landed on the grass with a thud, and her wounds which has started to dry began to bleed heavily again. Well at least I made it in.... so if I die, I die in a pack like Hyptic would have wanted me to... Ariatisse thought, a bittersweet feeling running through her, wondering if she would die here or not. Everything went black for a few moments, until the light of day returned to her eyes once again.

The fae seemed pleased to finally be asked to swear loyalty to Agavos. Despite her fatigue, it seemed that the she wanted to stand while giving her answer. The Delta became even more concerned for Ariatisse's health as the loner sat up shakily. The formal words "I do" were spoken with obvious happiness, followed by the lighter furred wolf's fall. The effort to sit up had reopened the wounds, which worried Breeze. I will not let this new packmate die before she even enters her new home! She thought. There was only one thing to do: give her the rank and get her to the healer. They could find her a good spot for a den once she was better...if she wanted. "Then you shall be known as Hunter Ariatisse of Agavos. Welcome to the pack!" The Delta said, moving forward to nudge her new packmate with her nose. Panic nearly set in as she realized the she-wolf had nearly lost consciousness. "Now....let's get you back to the Healer's Den. Can you make it that far?" She prompted gently. The dark pelted wolf nudged Ariatisse once more. Memories of carrying another fallen packmate swept through her mind, but she quickly pushed them away. "Camp is this way." She murmured. The Delta flicked her tail towards the heart of camp. If the wounded canine managed to stand, Breeze would offer her strong shoulder as support. The grey female had been built for strength and stamina, so it was not much of a problem. Those wounds need to be tended to before they get infected! The dark pelted wolf thought. She waited patiently, silently urging the fae to move.
