| Steele had dried off his coat, running through the forest and then back to the camp. The wind that blew through it all forced it to be completely clean. As he approached the den, he shook his body, forcing any left over water to splash the trees and ground. As he entered the den, he was calm and reserved. Esmeralda was there. With his head held high, he approached her. "There are some matters I must discuss you with." Steele took a seat next to her, looking over her body once and then to her eyes. Those alluring eyes of hazel and emeralds, swirling together to create the beauty which was before him. For some odd reason, she looked more beautiful than he had ever seen her. Perhaps it was from the victory of his greatest triumph, killing the Elite whom did not deserve his position. "I have great news to tell you. I have killed Kenai," an evil chuckle escaped from his lips. "When Azul discovers his body, he will come for me. Surely he will banish me and try to talk to me until I die. I need to leave the pack before he gets a chance. On the night that I kill Alpha Azul, I want nobody else to be present or allowed to stop me. I am looking to taking two lives on that night, the Alpha and the Alphess. Both do not deserve the positions they hold." He paused for a moment, thinking over the words in his head. What was he going to say to try and convince her otherwise. She was already a Beta here, the only other rank he could give her, would be his Alphess. But would she be willing to be such a rank alongside him.
"Come with me. I have seen how strong and brave you are. Together, we can rule a mighty pack and kill the weak wolves we meet along the way. The ones who claim to have the answers and such as that. Esmeralda, come with me. We can build something much greater than what Azul can offer you here. Think about it, of all the females in this pack, he chose an Apprentice! An Apprentice! Not even a Warrior Apprentice, no, she was a healer. She is weak, I know you can tell just by looking upon her pelt. Do you really want to listen to an Apprentice and a weak Alpha? I know you wish more of your life than that." As Steele told her, trying to convince her, once again he felt a rupture inside his gut. Something was off about him. She caused feelings he wished to destroy, to no longer hold. But when he was around her, it was impervious. |

| She had never intended to uphold her tempting promise to the hormonal male, her words of seduction weaving into his cranium and allowing her time alone with the omega; an omega whom she now shared his death plan with. But, believing she held more time before he arrived, Esmeralda found herself slurking into the den with the utmost care, not to wake the beast should he lie in his cavern. Before she was able to leave however, the animal returned, his voice booming behind her. Without hesitation, the black coat grew near, body made comfortable on the ground, eyes roaming across her figure with want. An angry snarl threatened her maw bu the serpent knew better to strike when she had already promised him something to indulge in at his arrival. Emerald hues came into contact with swirls of hazel, as he spoke, eyes alit with false interest.
His words rambled on forever though none lacked emphasis, for sure this brute would ruin her future reign. Sighing, she waited for him to finish his first proclamation, her words lightly sprinkled with false, caring nature, "Have you truly killed the Elite? Such a feat will not, as you said, go unnoticed or unpunished. Let Azul come, you will be gone by the day's end. Yes, both do not deserve those positions...but what followers do you have? What territory is available to claim?" Without his knowing, Esmeralda was truly inquiring at what places were open for her own taking, after his death. His next speech however was harsher upon her ashen ears.
"You can't be serious. I..." she faked a pause, eyes fluttering again with false feeling and hesitation, "Oh but Steele...it's outrageous. You have no followers, and I would prefer to kill the current leaders and force their victims upon our rule instead of running away like weak welps...and why would you want me in your pack? It's true I lead you here but... |

| "Of course I killed him! I pushed him into the water, forcing him to crash the the rocks below. No wolf would survive that, especially not with all those jagged rocks lying at the bottom." Steele grew angry that she did not completely believe him, or so he felt that way. Yes, he killed him. There was no way to have survived. Kenai was dead, probably bleeding out on the rocks below or drowned. He could only hope a hungry alligator was swimming by and gobbled him up. "Azul will come for me, but it is not time to kill him yet. His pups are not born yet. I wish to take them out as well. I want him to lose everything before he loses his life." He took a pause to think of his reply to her. "I have been venturing from the land. I have made a couple discoveries, lands I wish to take for my own. There's a place far from here which snows all the time. It is beautiful. You would love it there. There are other places, places that only tough wolves would survive in. This will keep the weaklings from our borders. Esmeralda, come see it for yourself. It will take your breath away!" He stared into her huge emerald eyes. They were gorgeous like the bright green of winter. He looked away from her, thinking of the fae's words. He thought long and hard about it, but then looked back to Esmeralda.
"I have one, but if you come with me, then it will be two. Esmeralda, these wolves are weak and I would never wish for any of them to come along, well, except for one. I am training her, but the others... they do not matter. We will find better and stronger wolves. They will see the folly in this brute who thinks himself an Alpha. You and I will rule over the strong brutes and faes. Nothing will stop us from achieving our goal and seeing Azul dead beneath my paws!" |
