Long Time Coming [P/Lyonitus] Empty
PostSubject: Long Time Coming [P/Lyonitus] Long Time Coming [P/Lyonitus] Icon_minitimeMarch 20th 2016, 10:14

The sun rested comfortably on his back, it wasn't unbearably hot but instead left him feeling warm and tingly. However he was soon to leave its warmth and pad into the shade of the caves that had formed along the waters. They were interesting to say in the least and he padded along the water that pooled here. The sun outside made the caves glow in a warm orange colour. His large paws sank into the soft sand as he stood by the water and looked down at the brute that stared back up coolly. There were definitely a lot more silver hairs covering his already ashen maw, giving him an almost white muzzle but his silver orbs still flickered with a flame as bright as those of the youthful beings in these lands. Death would not claim him anytime soon. He stepped back and stretched out, jaws parting as he yawned- revealing rows of sharp teeth, yellowed with time. He'd been careful to watch the tide and make sure it was safe to say he had a good few hours before staying would be risky. He would not let his life be claimed by his own foolish recklessness. Not while Teren still lived anyway. He'd been watching the alpha more intently now after his meeting with Desmond but nothing interesting had really happened since Spring came in. For now, there was peace. But Caspian knew well enough that it would not last, the wolves would get bored of enjoying the warmth and the feeling of full stomachs and chaos would rule supreme once again.

However one thing had caught his attention, rumor had it that yet another brother had found these lands. This was more amusing to him than anything else, he really had believed that many of them had perished by now but nope- here they all were. Well if he could say one thing about his family, they were determined. So who was it now, him, Teren, Lyonitus, Reaper and Baritos...the whole gang. Except poor Tatcher of course...he chuckled softly to himself. However he had yet to meet any of these brothers yet which was a little odd considering Erenyx was considerably smaller and his brothers were kind of hard to miss but then again, he hadn't exactly been engaging in pack activities all that much. Reaper had joined Irrationality in being one of Teren's Betas, Lyonitus had been Elite but rumor had it that he'd been demoted back to Elder and he did not know about Baritos yet. Still, he was proud about how much he managed to gather considering he didn't exactly hang out with his fellow pack members. Maybe if the rumor about Lyonitus' demotion had been true, Baritos could be the new Elite now? He didn't really care, he knew Teren was keeping him lower ranked than his brothers (siding Lyo now if it were true) but it didn't bother him all that much, Teren wasn't liking him recently and that certainly didn't bother Caspian at all. Teren was used to him doing everything for him, this indifference probably bothered him. A smirk curled along the large brute's ashen maw. Anyway, soon enough he'd either be Alpha of this pack or Guardian to Alpha Desmond. It was hard to tell, with the training he'd been giving himself recently he dared say him and Teren could almost be evenly matched for it was no secret that Teren was growing lazier.

He was 'the most feared beast in these lands', Caspian had a feeling that his growing ego was making him more relaxed than he should be. For who would dare challenge the mighty Teren? At this he laughed at his own thoughts. Maybe once the former alpha's son, Samael was it? He could've been a problem but he'd been killed by Teren's now Guardian so now there was nothing that could stop him. Caspian sniggered, what a fool his brother really was. He was leaning back on his haunches and leaning his back against the cave wall- muscles lose and relaxed but ears pricked and listening. He was in Erenyx territory now which made him relatively safe but one could never be certain with this pack so he stayed alert and refused to let his guard down despite his relaxed position.

L y o n i t u s . . .
The sun was shining, the air was warm, and the rays of the sun gently lay onto his back. It was a, in terms of the weather, a perfect spring day.But to the elder, it was another day of confused, boring, hell. Baritos and he had yet to speak to each other, and he found himself even more confused with his emotions. And after months of being here, he had barely seen Caspian, let alone speak to him. Reaper was, doing whatever he wanted to as Beta. He could care less about his life currently. However now, as he walked along through the shallow waters of Shallow Bend, he couldn't help but wonder his brothers' opinions on Teren. Previously, Lyonitus had held no ill will towards his older sibling. But now, with the sudden and unexplained demotion, and the fact that the Elder found himself realizing his true dislike for the black brute. Forcefully splashing the water with his paw he let out a low growl. He was old, grumpy, and irritated; one would be smart to avoid speaking to him cheerfully now.

Flicking his tail he entered the cave that stood at the end of the canyon's walls. And as he emerged himself into the darkness, he blinked a few times to adjust to the sudden change in light. He kept moving forward, ears perked for any sounds or movements. Scents were harder to pick up due to the water covering the floor, but if one were to touch a wall their scent would remain. To his own hears the only sounds he head were the echoes of his paws disrupting the water as he walked. And it continued on that way for a while. Until he heard a snigger, and not only that, a familiar one. One that belong to Caspian. Following the sound the ex-elite soon came into sight of his brother's relaxed position. "Why, what's got you laughing, Little Ol' Cas? Finding things well here?"

It was not long before a faint scent wafted over him, hard to detect over the running water echoing about but definitely there. His silver orbs became visible as eyes opened and a sly grin tugged at the corners of his maw. The voice that reached his pricked ears was rather familiar and as his eyes adjusted to the gloom, Caspian saw the brother who had arrived after him for the first time in many years. His posture still relaxed and eye's shining dimly in the gloom- Caspian chuckled softly as he detached himself from the wall and gave his pelt a brisk shake. Now standing, Caspian padded over to his brother with the slightest hints of curiosity flicking across his otherwise lazy features. He stood a mere few inches away from his brother as he stood gazing unwaveringly into the bicoloured eyes of the brute before letting his gaze wander in an assessing manner. Appearance wise, Caspian and Lyonitus were very different. Whilst Caspian's pelt was a mixture of black and ashen grey, Lyonitus' consisted of more earthy tones. Then there was the eyes, Caspian had the silver orbs some seemed to love him for but Lyonitus had unique bicoloured ones of a silver-brown type blend and the green the was also claimed by Teren. Had it not been for their equal massize size and telltale shape to their bodies, one might not even realize they were related. The one closest in appearance to Caspian was Baritos, having the same dark pelt and silver eyes. Also being the same height he believed, the only difference was Caspian's pelt was a bit more ashen and Baritos' black. Dragging himself back to the present, Caspian grinned- gaze glittering secretly. "Oh nothing of interest to one of Teren's beloved brothers, my mind just never fails to amuse me with the things it comes up with." He ran his tongue over his yellowed fangs slowly, eyes still fixed on the brute. He had purposely added in the beloved part for if he hadn't then he would've been in the same category. He was just curious to see if Lyonitus would catch it.

"It has been quite a while hasn't it dear brother." He would murmur, voice soft but not in anyway kind. However it was not cold either, simply holding mysterious tones that were hard for one to read. "Things have been okay I guess, a little boring but eh, Teren's growing old I s'pose." Another small snigger leaked from his maw as if he was laughing at his own private joke and his silver gaze glinted. "However things will be getting more fun around here soon." He promised, being careful with how he worded things because as far as he knew Lyonitus was still drooling over the mighty older brother, Teren, but Caspian could never resist a little fun despite the risk. Moving on fluidly, Caspian continued on to question his brother despite the unexplained sentence beforehand. "So how have you been getting along, Lyo? Is it true the rumors I hear about you getting demoted from your original Elite position? Now what could've made dear Teren even consider doing such a thing?" He drawled, not trying to hide the sarcasm hidden beneath yet offering no explanation either. Shifting his position slightly, Caspian would finally remove his steely gaze from his sibling and pad over the the water's edge. His paws clung to the edge of the smooth rock as he gazed down at the reflection wordlessly. He wondered for the first time with slight curiosity, how long did he and his brothers have left? If they did not get killed by Teren-haters or each other, old age would claim them eventually. How long until their bodies could not assist their ever youthful minds? His head tilted to this side as he examined the grey fur that he had not originally been born with. He always seemed to have more than his brothers only because at a youthful age he'd had silver tints to match his eyes. Now with the addition of the ones that appeared with age he was an interesting mixture. He twitched his ears and turned back to Lyonitus. He was determined to either be leading this pack or serving as Desmond's Guardian or even something higher if he could manage that before he died. Of course, Teren had to die first....he smiled.
