What's New?

It's been a while since we've had any real changes or updates, so I figured it was time.

First thing on the agenda: posts. In the past, we have allowed threads to carry over from season to season. We allowed this two times in the effort to help those with their posts. But the point of locking all the threads is to make it so threads do not continue on from the start of winter to Autumn or anything crazy like that. Going forth, no posts are allowed to "continue" after threads are locked. New ones can be made OR if there were only TWO replies, it can be "started over" and deleted from the previous season.

Second thing: activity. Activity has been pretty well for the majority, but we are seeing more and more members only come to chat and talk, not actually posting. If you have not posted an LOA, you will need to be posting. We will start back Seasonal Activity Checks to see who all is really active and who is hiding in the shadows.

Part of the Activity, going forth members who hold Lead ranks and above, will not be required to post regularly. We understand that LOAs happen, but it is unfair to our other members who are active but cannot take a high ranked position because they are filled. So if you wish to keep your rank, you will have to post at least TWO times a week with your high ranked character.

Third thing: voting. The best way to get our name out there and to earn free bones, would be to vote! At the bottom of the left side of the screen, right between the credits and Sister Sites, there are some buttons to vote for our site. A lot of new members have been finding us from these top sites. Not to mention, if we are ranked in the top 5 for the first 4 buttons, everyone on the site gets 700 free bones. Along with voting, I would like to tie in Advertising. Advertising is also essential to our growth. How are new sites going to know about us, or possibly even ones who have been around for a long time? It's best to tell people about our wonderful community and site! You will also get bones for advertising or bringing a friend to our site!

Fourth thing: tables and signatures. Many of you have been creating/finding some beautiful tables. It is awesome to see what people can make or use here. But it is important not to choose/make any that are going to stretch our forum. If they do stretch it, they will be deleted without notice. Tables and signatures can be no longer than 600 pixels long. As for signatures, I know the maximum is 400 pixels high... but we ask that you cut it down a little if yours has reached the maximum. The only reason I say this is because it is more common for others to use the height between 325-375. It's not much of a difference, but seeing a smaller signature compared to a 600x400 makes it look really big and strange.

Fifth thing: humans. Lately I have been seeing more and more people using "human words". Humans never have nor never will exist in this world. Wolves have never interacted with them and have no concept of such things. Our wolves believe in "the other forest", which is basically heaven. If your wolf does come from a pack which believes in "gods", we ask that you make it more relate-able to wolves, not so much human ideals. Also words such as: Man, Woman, People/Person, Children/Child are not allowed. Acceptable words are: Male, Female, Brute, Fae, Pup, Young, Offspring, Son, Daughter, and words like that.
