| Name: ZenGender: FemaleAge: 3Breed: Artic WolfHeight: 65 cmPack: ErenyxRank Requested: Omega to move up to Warrior in the futureAppearance: She has an all white coat that often gets dirty although unless she's rolled in mud most of the time she doesn't look too grungy. She doesn't come off as being albino and her coat is more of a milky white. Her winter coat is lighter in color than her summer coat, but due to her being used to cold weather year round she doesn't shed as much fur as some other wolves do. She's small and doesn't really see this as a bad thing, she has a compact build and small paws with an average size muzzle and triangular ears. Her nose is black, and her nails usually have dirt underneath them as she isn't one to keep them meticulously clean. She has gray eyes, so if it were not for her nose then she could almost blend in with rock and snow perfectly. She has one nick on her left ear around the base of the outside. Her coat covers up most of her scars but the one across her muzzle are noticeable as well as the scar on her hind left leg, all of the others can only be seen if you move the fur and look for them. Personality: She doesn’t like to take anything from anyone, which includes anything from verbal assault to a friendly offering, and if the opportunity presents itself she’ll tell them that. While she might not be the wittiest wolf in the world she does have a rather sharp tongue and low impression of others. She hates it when wolves look down on her however, she’ll tolerate the ranks above her doing so although only to an extent. While her loyalty may be earned her respect is something that is almost impossible to gain and she doesn’t pretend to give it out and doesn’t particularly care if her superiors know she’s faking it as long as she isn’t punished for it and even then she might not care. She’ll laugh at others’ expense and to a sensitive wolf, she could be seen as a bully. If she had any friends her tongue would most likely not go away but only manifest itself in a different tone, and if she doesn't say it to your face then she’s most likely thinking it. When necessary she can hide her facial expressions or emotions towards a wolf but this will often cause her irritation and simply bottle up the feelings for later. She has trust issues from her past, as she doesn't fully believe that those in her life will not leave her. She doesn't want to become overly attached to anyone.
No matter what her words may paint her as she does have a brain and it works often enough to get her out of trouble. She knows about life as a rogue and as a pack member both high and low. She’s quick to readjust assessments of wolves and is fairly flexible in her way of thinking and is not prone to have many set in stone opinions. She sees other wolves as having the same or higher intelligence than she does even if she won’t admit it, and almost always presumes that they want something from her or to hurt her pack.
Just like her thoughts her emotions are like a whirlwind, she’s not bipolar but she is quick to at least outwardly change and shift between emotions. Her interactions with other wolves don’t usually contain much expression of her deeper emotions but she’ll allow them to think that they are if she thinks she has something to gain from it. If any wolf were to see past whatever she was showing them, if it was there in the first place, then she wouldn’t care very much either. Her emotions mean little to her as long as they don’t hinder her performance, and if she thought that it would improve her skills then she would make an effort to be rainbows and sunshine all the time. Like most her anger is especially potent and she isn't in the habit of showing her sorrow or jealousy; the ‘lighter emotions’ are present much less often and when they are it can be difficult to recognize.
She doesn't really believe in mercy, the weak are left to die unless they can benefit the strong and the strong oppress the weak. While she values the lives of pups she does so because she assumes they will grow into strong wolves and ensure the future of the pack. She fancies herself strong and isn't likely to dole out mercy to members outside of her pack. She sees mercy as a debt more than anything.
She values her pack, and its only equal is her individuality. It was important to her that if she entered a pack she could be herself to the fullest extent and that would enforce her ideals. While she would sacrifice herself to her pack she joined she wanted to align her loyalty to a pack that she could stand behind. Photo: History: She was born to an alpha pair in an average-sized pack, her parents were loving, compassionate, and welcoming to any and all new members as long as they could integrate to pack life and serve the pack then they were accepted regardless of their pack. Her pack rarely engaged in wars, battles over territory happened but the land was plentiful enough to support all the packs within the area so there were no lasting disputes. Her parents allowed any wolves to breed and seek mates, and so when the birthing season came along there were often many pups underpaw wreaking havoc. This was the world she was brought into, many wolves were grateful for the second chance they received or were, at least, appreciative of the stability of pack life that allowed them to mostly stay true to themselves as well as the lax hierarchy structure; as an alpha’s pup, she was cherished. She had three siblings but one of them died in her first week, and so she grew up with two brothers - she was not in line to inherit the alpha position. She had a close relationship with one of her brothers, and her parents always encouraged her to seek friends so she had no shortage of playmates both young and old, during some rather rough playing she nicked her ear.
Such a pack, however, could not last, and eventually there was an uprising, she and the other pups were in the den while it happened. She was around seven months at that time and could hunt smaller game for herself and drift around on the fringes of pack hunts as well as fight. Zen and her brother stuck close to each other during the attack as their mother herded them out of the den, however, her brother that was to become alpha was killed by a rival who realized what might happen if he killed their father and left the pup alive. They killed her father, but not in a traditional battle of rank - as another pack attacking theirs. Zen’s mother, brother, and herself escaped but they had lost their father and brother.
As soon as they had gone some distance and were sure that the pack was not following them her mother internally collapsed, she could no longer lead her pups. About a month in life was harder without their mother’s help and their brother, Zen wanted to continue to travel and began to become more sarcastic and less accepting of others. Her brother dealt with this trouble by offering to take them to another pack, but Zen refused. Although she loved her brother she couldn’t join another pack like their previous one, she didn’t trust them. Her ideas were shifting around, and she offered to stay with them until a patrol picked them up and brought them before the alpha and then she would go her own way.
When they reached the border the alpha was there, he refused her mother but said that his pack could always take more warriors and her brother was an impressive brute although not as skilled a fighter as his brother. He was going to refuse but Zen told him to join, knowing that he wanted to be a part of pack life, she only did so by promising that she would look after their mother. Her brother left with the alpha and Zen along with her mother were chased off the border, that is where she got the scar on her hind leg. She had little faith in packs after that, but was reaching maturity and did not exactly have the ‘lone wolf’ mentality. She knew though that there were few packs would accept her mother in the state that she was in.
She, however, did find a small pack that was without an Autay, she left as soon as she was assured that her mother would be cared for and as soon as she told her mother that she had to look after the pack's pups. She neither explained where she was going nor gave a long goodbye. Her mother simply saw it as another wolf leaving her and was already broken. She didn't care or know what happened to her mother after that but presumes that she remained in the pack or eventually died of natural causes. She had faith in the pack after meeting them even if she herself was not interested in joining a pack that was more of a family, and she felt it would constrain the wolf she was growing into.
As she wandered she pushed the matter of finding a pack to the side even though she was always looking for interaction, she didn't crave friendship simply the company of other wolves. She didn't forget all of her pack customs but if she didn't feel comfortable being a loner she, at least, knew how to do it. By the time she reached Age she had all but given up on finding a pack, but exploring the four here she finally decided to cast her fate in with a pack of wolves.Joining Keys: Keys posted and removed - Elite NnlyaHow did you find Age? I'm RookExample Post: The female’s coat was red, easily seeping through the white of her coat; it matched the steady flow of scarlet dripping and feeding the earth; her eyes were a storm and a scowl observed the dead wolf sprawled across the earth Weakling she thought disdainfully. She watched coldly the light drain away from the wolf’s eyes, gold and blue, and at the last moment, she refused to look away drowning in the dulling color. He had never had the right to attack her, and she supposed that he had paid the price. She was about to turn and walk away from the carcass - let the vultures have it - when she stopped. She should feel no need to linger here even if the border was, at least, a short run away from here. What would Hunter think? It was a foolish thought, her brother was far away in the other forest, she hoped that he had reached the other forest peacefully at least despite his violent end not that it should even matter to her anymore. Still with his white coat, average build, and bi-colored eyes this male did resemble her brother - Zen sighed. I can’t do this every time some brute reminds me of him, she told herself still staring at the body. She felt her breath catch before she forced herself to breath, and her heart to beat. Her scowl deepened, he had been a weakling, for this pack’s Delta as he claimed to be he was a runt, and she doubted that it was even worth her trouble to finish him off. A small gash on her shoulder, a few bites on her muzzle, and barely a scratch on her hindquarters were all the damage this wolf had inflicted. She goaded herself, this sorry excuse for a wolf reminding her of her brother? Snorting she turned, uprooted her paws and walked away. Her paws trod an even path away from the border and the matter was all but forgotten. Site Season/Year: 5th Spring |
