| On this spring day, the weather took a drastic turn for the worst. The rain poured from the sky, drenching the lands in it's overflowing drops. The creek was gaining a rather large gathering of water, filling it and forcing the banks to be pushed away. On this particular day, the midnight Beta decided it was as good as any to go for a stroll. Feeling the downpour of the storm attacking his pelt, he looked up to the sky. Water attacked the very core of the wolf, seeping through his heavy coat and drenching him as if he were swimming in water itself. His eyes lowered to the creek, watching it fill, forcing the waves to leave the solid body of fluid. He walked slowly towards the water, lapping at it as it crashed against his face. He chuckled to himself, enjoying the horrible weather. A loud crash rang from the clouds, lighting the sky up as lightning came crashing between them. The lights and sounds from the area intrigued the brute greatly. He had known wolves to fear the crashing of the sky, fearing the winds that came with the storm and much more. But Steele did not budge. He did not fear nature, he feared nothing. Standing by the falls, he looked over the land, watching as the water covered the area. As he looked to the water, he thought of his plan. Soon he would be away from the pack, on his own and finding the best wolves to join his side. When the pack grew large enough, he would attack Azul and all of his pitiful followers, punishing them for their strange and delicate ways. He would be the on to end the white Alpha's life, taking his last breath, being the last thing Azul would ever lay his eyes on. But before killing the Alpha, he would take the Alphess's life, forcing the Alpha to actually fight. That would be the only way to force his paw. Thinking of tasting the Alphess blood, his maw shifted to an evil grin, displaying his canines to the world. His tail arched over his back, ears perked and alert, while puffing his chest out. This would be the stance of his conquer. Tilting his head back, he howled a victorious howl. |

| As the thundering clouds emitted their sorrow, Elite Kenai stared to the grey puffs of aggressive cloud. He sighed, looking to the soaking ground. Stepping from his shelter, he felt the water pour onto his fur. Angered by the horrible weather, he shook his coat, flailing the water away from him. But it was no use, the winds carried the water over him, not allowing him to hide. Shrugging his shoulders, he moved from the pack clearing. As he wandered the lands of his Alpha, he decided to check a new area he had not yet visited. He heard chatter about the place, interested in its wonder. Pressing his feet to the muddy soil, he continued on his way. The mud clung to his fur, trying to bring him down. But he still pressed on. When he made it to the isle, he looked about the rapidly growing creek, now looking more like a river. His silver eyes scanned the land, looking over the mowed down shrubs and small trees, bending at the half way mark of their trunks. This land was getting torn apart by the storm. But amidst the terror of the land, stood a dark brute. His stance was dominant, wreaking with the stench of something deadly. Kenai had grown tired of his ways, the things he said to the wolves of the pack, how he bashed the Alpha openly. Kenai was a brute of peace and tranquility, not one to act on the violence or issues that bring aggravated feelings. But today, the brute took matters into his own paws. He would not step aside and allow the traitor to say such things about the brute or the pack. He lowered his head, staring at the mangled fur, drenched in the weather's doing. A deep snarled slipped from his lips, curling his tail over his spine. The Elite did not take this stance often, but it was a fight he was looking for. Steele had broken down the very ways he held himself and the values he lived by. There was no turning back now. Kenai would handle this matter and then return back to the pack with the news of the ordeal. "Steele!" he shouted angrily. Forcing his paws to move him closer, he watched the brute closely. "There are some matter that must be addressed," he yelled trying to force his voice louder than the crash of the thunder. The bright light flashed in the sky, illuminating the mixed fur spread throughout the coat. |

| Watching the clouds shake and drop more of their drops, he stared to the sky, contemplating the future. He was deep in thought, thinking of taking a mate, an Alphess. She would be strong and witty, brave and beautiful. The other wolves would fight for a chance with her, but Steele would not allow it. He would kill any wolves who moved her fur from its position. His mind trickled over the thought of having pups, watching them in their training, teaching them to kill and fight. His pack would be one where ranks are earned, not just given out because you are friends with the Alpha. He stared at the sky, still thinking. But soon his thoughts would be clouded with a hissing voice behind him. The crash of thunder struck, trying to blot out the sound. He was thankful for such noise. Slowly he turned to face the brute. His eyes peered over him, staring angrily. "Kenai," he voice in hushed tones. His lips curled back, exposing blood-stained fangs and blackened gums. A snarl rippled through his throat, exiting his mouth. He moved close to the brute, snarling and staring eye to eye. His glossy nose pressed against the other, forcing Kenai to stand where he stood. "Is there something you wish to discuss?" |

| Their noses pressed tight against one another, feeling the exhaling of them both, forcing the breaths together. Curling back his lips, he revealed his jagged fangs. Now more than ever Kenai wished to avenge himself for the fight they had long ago, for the many incidents this vile creature created within the pack and especially between he himself. Steele was a menace, a poor excuse for a Beta, and the worst wolf to be allowed entrance to this pack. Kenai loathed him, hated every fiber within him. But the Elite knew he would never get a better chance to fight than now. Azul was not here, but if he were, Kenai's demeanor would surely change. "I am telling you to leave. Leave the pack and never come back. You are no longer wanted here. Your planning, your aggression, it is not the ways of the pack. Your unwillingness to actually make due with hat you have. There are wolves that look up to you, rely on you for making decisions for the pack. You are selfish and full of yourself, something we do not want spreading within the pack. You are a disease and I wish to expel you forever!" he finally snapped and opened his jaws wide, taking in Steele's fur and flesh into his mouth. His teeth buried into the fur, lightly touching the flesh, before it was ripped from his maw. Apparently Steele had been aware that Kenai's speech was about to end and the fight would commence. Perhaps the Beta was smarter than he thought. The gears in his mind must have been working overtime, pushing him to actually anticipate the attack. |

| Listening to the brute, he chuckled a maniacal laugh. He mimicked the brute, pulling back his lips and baring opened fangs. His tongue lapped over his teeth. But even as he listened, he had nothing to say. Steele watched him, looking over his body. He noticed as the male tensed, his muscles tightening, ready to fight. Kenai was not one to fight, always afraid to get hurt or to disappoint his lame Alpha. Soone Steele would be an Alpha, one wolves would honor and respect, instead of loving bunnies and rainbows. He snarled as the brute spoke more and more about how evil and pathetic he was. Who was he to call Steele pathetic? This angered the brute even more. How could he be so brave in this moment, they were alone, nobody to save Kenai from the tearing he would do. His eyes grew wide as he watched the Elite move. He was much quicker than Steele had even thought. The brute already had his mouth open and his teeth about to pierce his flesh, when Steele pulled from his grasp. The midnight brute pulled far away from the other, staring him dead in the face, glaring and snarling. His tail curled tight above his back, curling in the dominance he had over the other. The Beta snarled and snapped his jaws at Kenai. "You are a fool. What of your words and no actions? Azul will be so sad to find your carcass lying beside the water's edge, still and lifeless. Of course, when I am through with you, the only thing that will tell him it's you, if your flesh. But the stench of your death just might cover that horrible scent up." He chuckled as he started to walk around the brute in a slow circle. |

| Kenai listened to the brute, snarling and growling as he heard the words slip from his lips. Perhaps he was right, Azul would not like this, but there was no backing down now. Steele would get what was coming to him. The Elite matched the Beta's stance, lifting his tail above his spine, snarling and moving slowly, not exposing his back to the sinister wolf. "I will not be the dead one, not on this day and not by you!" As Steele turned to the water, still facing the brute, Kenai charged and rammed his body into his side. The large black brute tripped over his paws, and fell into the water. Kenai was unable to stop himself from falling with the other, and he too fell inside. As the water rushed over their bodies, Kenai tried to grip onto something for dear life. His paws scratched at the rocks, trying to grip around them, or reaching to the branches and gripping them in his mouth. But each attempt came to a failure. He rushed down the water, falling below. His eyes lost track of the Beta, wondering if the other had taken the same fate. Kenai looked around him, panting as he was forced farther and farther down. As he was pushed, his head crashed along the side of a rock, knocking the brute unconscious. The water pushed the brute's body to the side, planting him on the bank. Helpless and alone, the brute could die where he laid. |

| He watched as the brute reared back and then charged him, knocking him to the water's edge. Had his paws been set into the ground as he was pushed, all would have been well. But Steele's rear paw had gotten caught on a river rock. The combined weight of Steele and Kenai pushed them into the water. Steele, being heavier, sunk to the bottom, feeling paws kick around his back. The brute pushed his rear paws to the floor, kicking himself to the surface. As he gasped for air, he clung to the side. The hard waves crashed against his side, trying to bring him down with them. Using his paws to grip the ground, he forced himself up and out of the water. As he was finally to the dry surface, he panted heavily, trying to recollect his breath. His eyes looked to the water, looking for any traces of Kenai. But the mixed fur of the brute could not be seen. Steele chuckled as his lifted his head high into the air, releasing a blood-curdling howl to the world. Kenai was no more. Their Elite was gone. Now it was time for him to leave, to start a pack of his own. He had killed one wolf of the pack, the one who irritated him constantly. Now his eyes would be set to the Alpha and Alphess. Finishing his howl, he left the Isle, ready to move on his own, but he would make one stop first. |

| The fae had wandered to the more barren parts of the territory. The waters looked frightening, the rocks deadly. It made Ember wonder if this was where she had been rendered unconscious. Any of the jagged stones could have left the scar marring the side of her face. Inhaling through her nose, there was no familiarity in the scent of this place. No, this land must have been beyond her knowledge of exploration. She walked lazily to a shallower part of the water, lapping up the cool liquid. Ember paused midway though her drink, hearing the sounds of voices that had been carried on the wind. It took her a minute to realize that the voices were closer than she believed, and that angry tones rang out from the place of their owners. The fae considered whether she could be concerned or not, but Ember stood and walked towards the voices anyways. The fighting of others was really none of her business but she couldn't help but be curious. Before she could reach the wolves, the sight of one struggling in the waters caught her eye. He or she was completely on the other side of the waters, though that didn't stop Ember's instincts to dart towards the struggling wolf. She on the banks, gasping when the wolf was lost to her for a few moments. There was no way the other creature could survive if they were pulled under. As Ember caught sight of their body a second time, it was limp and on a bank not far from her. Almost sick with worry, the fae sped up her pace until she had reached the wolf's waterlogged body.
She could see now that he was unconscious, not dead. His chest still moved to take in air. No pools of blood were to be seen, at least not anything major. Putting her paw upon his side, she pushed down to see if any water would sputter out his mouth. After doing that, Ember set about getting him to their healer. He was fairly larger than her, which meant he would weigh much more. She considered dragging him by his scruff, but that would be dangerous for them both. Carrying him seemed to be the best way, but she need to see if she could wake him first. Lowering her head, Ember shoved his rather forcefully. The fae willed him to wake. There didn't seem to be a response. Sighing worriedly, she took the wolf's scruff into her jaws. Ember began to tug, getting him off of the bank. If he woke now, at least he would be in the grass but he would probably be startled at being pulled. Readjusting her hold, Ember pulled him determinedly to the healer's den. |
