A Nameless Discovery Empty
PostSubject: A Nameless Discovery A Nameless Discovery Icon_minitimeOctober 2nd 2013, 17:31

As the late afternoon made its presence known, a pause in the action between the sun and moon spirits took place – a moment of an openhearted embrace from one to the other before taking to their journey across the heavens once more. White masses of rounded and clustered clouds had carried on with their even-paced way through the setting sun’s hue, wishing all a farewell before settling their sight on their upcoming destination – eager with discovery.

Though the calming of night was preparing itself to portray its splendor and supremacy before all sight, the dwellers of the earth continued bustling along – savoring what little time left the sun could exhale into day. The wind spirit gave the impression of being in a rather restful mood for only a very mild breeze made its way throughout the valley and bordering wooded area – as if nonchalantly tickling the stalks of the valley plant life and bark base casing of the towering, full-bodied trees -- soothing. As the autumn tree leaves began to fade from color and life – feeble in form, their strong point still revealed as they seized onto their nurturing host by stem.

As the earth dwellers carried on in their matters, Dreamless was making her way through the outskirts of the valley – calm strides, yet when her pads made contact with the earth below she lightly clasped the dirt particles in-between her digits – nails sifting. Suddenly, her sensible state of mind had fell submissively to the overwhelming sensation of her senses – taking in, detecting, and creating commitments to memory. The intensity of this moment was as if this specific area had made its presence known before, Dreamless – offering itself solely to her, “Welcome,” it expressed inaudibly. She fixed her eyelids firmly together while she responded in thought to the spirits of this realm with a good-mannered response – taking in her surroundings, a subtle smirk trailing her lips as she slowed up in stride.

Renewing her sight she realigned her focus to the surroundings while her pace of walking briskly carried forth. Dreamless found herself taking well to the unfamiliar territory – the invigorating scents from the plush plant life, the tranquil sounds of nature blossoming merrily as if they were fully unmindful to the despair that lingered just beyond in the bordering lands. She inhaled in a deep manner before exhaling with relief; she had finally come across a promising land – a discovery worth cherishing. Taking brief breaks in her proceedings to scent throughout the air and to tune her ears in the direction of nearby sounds had left her unaware to the neighboring territory that lay just beyond the tree-line. All the same, Dreamless continued to press on in exploration.

A haven indeed,” she assured herself in a delicate tone of voice while she bestowed her sight in all directions – complimenting.

A short time had passed before Dreamless had finally reached the bordering edge of the wooded area surrounding the valley – scaling trees joined together forming a colossal defense force before her. Slowing up and easing her pads into the earth below she halted in her path unexpectedly as a variety of unfamiliar scents acquainted her nose. While Dreamless’ sights shifted swiftly – scanning the perimeter for any wandering presences her stature became rigid as her muscles contracted – crest becoming erect out of a safety measure. Dreamless adjusted the base of her neck to guide her head and muzzle near the ground before sifting through the dirt with the tip of her nose – nosing and inhaling. She eased herself into a soundless trot towards either end of the wooded area while she neared the conclusion of her investigation – a few feet offered to the left together with the right.

The scents still linger fresh in form – I better prepare myself accordingly,” she thought to herself.

During such a process, she tried her best to separate the scents belonging to the regional wolf pack.
It had been more than a few years since she had crossed paths with another wolf, with another wolf pack at that. Dreamless wasn't quite secure with the thought of acquainting her presence before another of her kind for the fragmented memories of her past still remained and burdened. While she readjusted her frame to its standard form she prepared herself for the unexpected – halting in the posture of a groundbreaker. Should she remain or choose to be carried off with the wind spirit back to isolation?

The mother of three stumbled carelessly along the beaten path of pawprints pressed into the rich soil, captivated by the colors of the newly encountered autumn, a favorite season of hers, as most would. After being left to herself for so long, she trusted her beloved pups to carry on by themselves, and saw everyday how well their training had progressed. It was amazing to see such work and the effects pure determination could make, she sure wished it was like that now for her. Griffen had made little of appearance lately to her knowledge, however, as much as it worried her to know where he had been going all this time, there was always her mate, Marrok to calm her down. It made it easier for her to sleep now that she had him at her side when her eyes would flutter shut, if only she had had him for all her life, but that wouldn't be no good. There were some things that were better off put the way they were, without her leaving, she would have never become the fae she is today, nor the mother of beautiful pups and mated to a lovely brute that made her smile without trying. Looking back on her past, as tragic as it may have been so long ago, it turned around and with that, she was beginning to live the life she had wanted since she were only a pup. It was things like that she knew to capture and savor till she got every ounce of peace left. Enjoy the little things, she thought, pursuing that sentence to this day forwards and so on.

Her paws practically sank into the mud that was provided across the Helidos lands, filling cricks and crannies in each and every direction or seep it could find, hydrating the vegetation in the meadows to bring useful prey for the pack to feast upon. The air smelt of new morning dew and rainfall, as the pack had been visited by the likes of early fall's drops of fresh rain water from the dark skies above. The sun did not shine that day, however, the breeze was fulfilling as it laced over her obsidian pelt, enticing her mind to be at ease while enjoying her daily stroll. When coming across a foreign scent, her ears erected and pointed at the top of her small cranium, lifting her snout towards the air to take in more of the stench. Once Juno had targeted the stench, she put her head back down to normal level and moved onwards into the direction at which the fae stood at the other side of the dividing line. She was of an average size for a fae, lean-fitted much like herself, but like most, she was averagely smaller like normal faes, whereas the Beta female had longer legs to stand upon with the help of her father's side. Ryland and Apollo both inherited that from her, let alone her eyes, whereas Griffen took on his father's normal sized legs. Tracing the outline of the fae's features, the female looked over her once more, seeing passed the ivory coat and eyes to take in her stance. She was most likely the same age, though it was always something to never ask a female, as it was none of her business unless of course it came to experience. This, she would need to know however, the older, the wiser, she thought. Stalking forwards, she took on a dominant position; hiking her tail to curl up against her back, paws thundering forwards while her head held high, no emotion left to appear over her features to give away a bit of warmth in her welcome to the newcomer. Being territorial of her home, her lip curled back in a bitter snarl, "State your name and your purpose, fae, for I am the Beta female of these lands known as Helidos territory. You may refer to me as Beta Juno." She said sternly - glaring her emerald hues into the vagabond's before her that stood unwillingly behind boundaries like one should, "Speak." The ebony she-wolf spat, taking a threatening step forwards.

The immense mass of grey and bulbous clouds stood their ground with purpose in conjunction with the horizon -- illustrating their might upon the surface of the earth lingering below. Before long, a sprightly and tender rainstorm had made its presence known while it sampled a poignant taste of supremacy over the heavens for a short while. The rainstorm was of a mystifying delicacy as it penetrated the earth’s soil with ease – lathering and doing away with the remnants that darkness discarded in its wake. All was still within the valley and alongside the neighboring wooded area, as if nature was offering forth an audience to the clouds above – hailing in hushed whispers while a mild and gentle wind intertwined within the raindrops.

The rainfall had allowed the scaling and bare trees to relieve themselves of their autumn leaves which had been draining their life-force in shallow doses throughout the months. The plush plant life of undergrowth had finally been bestowed with the opportunity to intake their lack of moisture away. Bodies of water produced in mass and offered themselves without restrictions in the direction of the surface dwellers eager to quench their parched throats. The ceremonial rainstorm was ever awe-inspiring and portrayed a promise of a prosperous life and future.

While the rainstorm carried on, Dreamless hadn’t abandoned her post before the wooded colossuses which had seemed to be inching closer towards her – roots uplifting and forcing the unfamiliar wanderer to set off. But, Dreamless remained while the unsettling cold from the downpour stirred throughout her entirety – saturating her pelt, obscuring her sight, and interfering with her sense to hear. Such wasn’t worth an ounce of Dreamless’ attention for an unfamiliar scent had suddenly made itself known – strengthening in presence while at a closing distance.

Upon the intake of the scent through the air corridors of her nostrils, she was certain that the scent belonged to that of a wolf, but began preparing for the uncertainty of the wolf’s intentions. Dreamless had no intentions of encroaching or to be the cause of any distress but she couldn’t do away with the expressive thought of the inner spirit of the wooded area summoning her. At heart, Dreamless was aware that abandoning such a sign would surely bring forth much ruin, if not the greeting of death itself. While the downpour began to slow in pace and to some extent ceasing, Dreamless had been preparing her senses – a wholesome nature setting in. Without warning, the sound of autumn leaves being trampled on by weighty movement soared together with abandoned tree branches being cracked in half. Then all became hushed – the surroundings stopped stirring with the sound of life, the raindrops ceased, and the calming breeze from the wind spirit had fallen limp in drive. Words from tongue were then projected in the direction of Dreamless…

State your name and your purpose, fae, for I am the Beta female of these lands known as Helidos territory. You may refer to me as Beta Juno,” the Beta female said sternly. “Speak,” she spat with demand.

Dreamless evenly circulated her weight and muscular balance throughout the entirety of her physique while remaining stock-still – casting her sight over at the disheartening Beta female before her. Her sight began to examine the female’s frame and nature – dissecting every fiber of her being – pupils composing in all directions with swift arrays of movement. Such was as if Dreamless was taking in the female’s song of life all in a matter of seconds -- she bore a nature of compassion and forethought – hopeful and wholehearted in a lighted aspect as a replacement for a darkened one.

The female valued life, the serene livelihood of her family and home – to expose herself in a vulnerable circumstance was the least of her likings, but if a dire state of affairs were to ascend she would take flight and defend the well-being of her pack with death straying --  territorial of her home. The Beta female wasn’t one to carry on uncertainties for she was one to guide valor along soaked to the skin in her own blood if essential – emerald hues. Though the Beta female made it a point to portray her presence in a hostile gesture, Dreamless didn’t offer up any thought towards the Beta's safety measures – high opinion and consideration kept intact.

For the majority of those who are met with the likelihood of a bloodied act the common reaction would be to commence in an attack first, but Dreamless held her position in a calm nature – a brief moment spared to draw back her senses from further inspecting the Beta female’s entirety. Trailing her sight up the Beta's fore chest, Dreamless then linked herself into the depth of those graceful emerald hues before responding by tongue soundly…

Rest assured fair Beta female for I wander in strides of peace and harmony – no intentions of hostility weigh in thought.” Dreamless carried on humbly, “I have been branded as the Wanderer throughout various regions bordering your land, but my birth title is, Dreamless.”

Dreamless embraced a short pause while she gathered her thoughts and adjusted her frame more securely.

I am merely present within this region to sight-see and to lend my aid to those in need located to the north of your pack’s territory,” she assured the Beta female in a solemn tone of voice before continuing. “There have been quite a few counts of high crimes taking place in the far north if you haven’t been well-informed.”

Dreamless held her tongue while she tuned in toward the Beta female’s response if were such to acquaint her.

Juno nodded affirmatively to the ivory ghost-like fae, "I am well-aware of these crimes, more than you might know. Months even, to be at exact of my common knowledge. They're known as Ereynx, but I do not fondle with that crowd as much as one would wish. These are the lands I rank under, and if is acceptance you sought, then prove it." She assured, baring her teeth into a half-smirk, keeping her stance solid and words well preformed with advanced practice. This fae was like any other, and so it was not all at once. This female held the luminous and elegance within her words, along with grace to tie things together. Surely, she would not find trouble in coming across a potential mate in the near future if she were worthy of the rank of a hard-working Hunter or Warrior that is. It made her curious, but short as it vanished from the dark caverns of her mind. Debating on the idea of interviewing the female for specifics were not at all something to think twice about with her, though she would have to prove a lot in order to win the Beta over. She held endurance, comparing to the muscles in her legs, and with a tone like hers, it wouldn't be long before she'd have a crowd of friends to walk behind her.

Striking pair of eyes laid upon the female, outlining and pin-pointing certain structures and curves that hid just at the edge of her thick pelt. She was similar, in a way to her. Same movement, common taste in remaining friendly, and soft on the eyes, stern, but graceful like a professional ballerina. Juno had yet to hear Dreamless's answer on what she was looking for, besides not bringing trouble to her lands, a relief even though the Beta knew she could take on a wolf much smaller. It was a strange name, she would have to suggest, but hers wasn't the most known name either in their case. With a raise to her snout, their eyes met before the superior female released her words of wisdom and command, "In order to do what I ask, you must tell me what you could provide for the lands here you see behind me. The darkness within the trees is my home, along with several other wolves that walk amongst the Earth's soil besides you and I. From far and wide we have come together, while some had split off to commit the crimes you speak of," Her head slowly thrusted in the direction of the other pack across the many hills, blankly gesturing to the female while she spoke, "Over time, differences had gotten the best of us all, and things had to change. There was once a time when we were all one pack, and so it be said that they have chosen the side of evil. We do not trust them, as you can see, but can we trust you in order to respect the packmembers, no matter the rank as well as keep up with the abilities you possess in that category? Which reminds me, please tell me of what you prove best in. We accept all of those with a certain talent, and there are spots always available around the pack." Slowly, but surely, Juno started to be at east, rolling back her shoulders comfortably while escaping a short smile in welcome to the female.
