| Katyusha kept her head low as she pushed on through the snow, her nose dipping to the ground every several seconds to search for a new scent, but with little luck. The young fae had promised her beta results in winter hunting, and her complete ignorance to the land made keeping her promise very hard. While the new hunter had managed to feed herself, and get her paws healed, as well as the rest of her travel related problems, she had very little to show for her 5 days in the pack.
With a rather loud sigh the fae would drop to her haunches, lifting her nose to the air to search the broader area, the gentle breeze drifting through this part of the forest meant scents would travel a fair distance and would be fairly easy to track. Although once again the fae would come up empty the small wolf just dropped her head again to scan the horizon for a moment "Dammit....I need to find something...4 hares is hardly a good catch." she grumbled to herself, jumping up quickly to scale to the top of a small mound of dirt pulled up by the roots of a falling tree, her eyes scanning the area quickly again, hoping to get some kind of advantage from the elevated position
"I guess I just need to get a better feel for the land..." she admitted to herself, seeming rather upset with herself for the meager performance, and even if she wasn't out to catch much more, since the stocks were doing quite well, she still wanted to find something, just to know she could if the need arose, a task that was slowly driving her insane in this strange new land. |

| Seasons seemed to slip through Fel’s paws, flying by without even a farewell to the onyx fae. But then, she was happy that time always seemed to slow during the winter months, for the season of snow and death was her favorite. The thick blanket of snow reminded her of her home pack in the mountains many months of travel away. Fel walked silently in Eden’s Hollow, placing her paws on the snow at an angle as to reduce the sound of the crushing snow. Her movements were slow but still powerful; she had no where she needed to be at the moment.
Coincidences, however, always have a way of finding her. As she breathed in frosty air, a new scent of a wolf drifted up her black nostrils. And, sure enough, a smaller, tawny fae appeared into view a few moments later. Fel had managed to meet many of the wolves of the pack, but this female had never been in her seemingly indifferent gaze. Immediately, her long tail arched high over her back and the fur fell from the spine like a rich banner. The raven pelt was thick and lengthy as well, protecting her muscular body from the cold- her pelt was the only reason she had survived as a pup. Fel stepped up to the fae, nostrils flaring and billowing heat as she took in her scent. Then, with a smooth and calm voice she spoke, “Greetings. I can scent Helidos on you, but it is still faint. You must be new. If so, welcome to our pack. I am Guardian Fel, and you are?” Icy cold eyes, almost devoid of color, watched the newcomer’s every movement, waiting to see if physical force would be at all necessary.

| As Shadow woke and stretched her limbs, her mind was already in gear and working on a hunt. For the stock pile was becoming slightly low and her plan was to keep it hefty and full for the warriors and others of her pack. So she shook to rid herself from the sleep within her muscles that didn't wish to work at the moment and padded out of her den in Eden's Hallow. Coming to the edge of the small ledge that made her den about four feet from the ground, she yawned and took in the cold air. Soon she jumped off and landed gravefully into the snow, she was still slightly confused by it, for she has never seen it before until this winter. Winters in the valley were just cold, but they never brought the beautiful blanket of white to her lands like they did to the pack lands now. As Shadow made her way she sniffed the ground and air for even the fainest of scents,"Aww, come on. Really? There has to be something out there.." Shaking her head, Shadow moved onwards, still sniffing. Soon a familiar scent hit her nose,"Fel",she thought and began to move on swift paws at a trot. But as Shadow grew closer to Fel's scent she could senses another scent, one she didn't know. Soon spotting both Fel and a new wolf on a small clearing she moved towards Fel and dipped her head in greetings,"Hello Fel, how are you? Well I hope",Shadows sapphire orbs soon looked to the new fae, ears perks and a warm grin across her maw,"And hello to you as well, just might who you be?" She wasn't being rude, just simply asking a general question. And waiting for an answer. |

| Katyusha's eyes would continue to scan the area around her for several long seconds, before locking into the near movement, her nostrils flaring for a moment as she took in the fae's scent her posture noticeably relaxing as she caught the familiar scent of her new pack. As the other approached Katyusha would smile softly, keeping her spot on the small dirt mound as she gave a low dip of her head to the new fae "Greetings to you as well Guardian." she said opening her maw to continue speaking before a third voice caught her attention, the slender wolf turning quickly to look over at Shadow as she approached, once again giving a polite dip of her head "My name is Hunter Katyusha, and you assumed correctly, I have only been a member of your pack for a few short days, and mostly confined to the healers den." she admitted with a little less than pride.
As the fae finished speaking, she would jump down from her elevated position, landing gracefully several meters from Fel, before turning to face Shadow "And may I inquire who you are?" she asked honestly, her tail giving a light swish behind her, a flat expression held to her face, even though she was jumping for joy on the inside, excited to finally meet some of the other pack members, but she wouldn't dare let her expression show it. |

| A smile appeared on Fel’s black lined lips when she looked at Shadow, who had just arrived. It was wonderful to see a friend, especially one so dear to her. Her long tail swished from side to side happily in acknowledgement. “Hello Shadow. I am doing great, and you?” With her closest friend around, her stance dissolved into a less prepared standing position as she looked to the newcomer, who was fairly polite. “Ah, the healers den… Endless hours spent there, and not a single one wasted. I have a feeling I will think differently of the caretaker’s den though, but I hope not,” she grinned and glanced to Shadow, wondering if she would understand, but not quite expecting her to. If not, she would tell her another time when she caught her alone.
It was then that she noticed the new hunter’s attention turn to the slender black fae’s. Feeling a little out of place, she backed up a step, letting them converse as they wished. Her ears fell to the sides ever so slightly as she was turned away from by both, but this was soon replaced by her calm mask. For the added effect, she continued to waves her tail as she looked between the two, hoping they didn’t even notice her slight change in features. |

| Hearing the new wolves greeting and question first, she answered,"I am Lead Hunter Shadow, you will be seeing alot of me now that we have met. Glad to have another hunter here. You should also go and meet the other lead hunter, his name is Eclipes." After her introduction of herself she swiveled her ears around, listening for anything to move, and lightly sniffing the air for a scent, but coming to the conclusion that she would have to look else where as she found nothing. As she turned to Fel the tip of her tail began to flicker,"I am glad to hear that you are doing well",her head slightly tilted as she spoke of the Healers den. Shdaows eyes slowly looked over her friend, checking for any signs of the Healers. But she found no wrappings, nor was Fel coughing, but then again she knew Fel was good at hiding certain things. She certainly hoped she wasn't sick within the winter months, for it would probably be harder to heal her friend in the colder months of the seasons. Soon the snow began to fall again, covering them all within a thin white blanket of flurries that fell from the sky to the thicker blanket of snow on the ground. Lovely, the snow made it harder to pick up scent and keep it. For it worked almost just like water, masking the scent of anything that traveled through that area.Tracks, were now the key to finding food. Soon Shadow turned to attention back to her friend and the new packmember. Waiting for them to speak |

| Katyusha would smile and give a soft bow of recognition to the lead hunter "It is a pleasure to meet you Lead Hunter Shadow, I do hope I can prove my worth to you, and contribute to the well being of the pack, of course." she said before turning to Fel again "And I have a feeling I may end up the same way...although I do hope to avoid such annoyances as injury, I fear it may be a reoccurring event, although that may just be my mind running wild." she said with a little smirk, seeming to warm up to the two as they spoke, the fae cocking her head a little at the mention of the caretakers den, her eyes switching to a more suspicious look as she caught the hint, but let it slip by without any mention, feeling if she wanted the two to know, which she probably didn't since Katyusha herself was a complete stranger, she would elaborate on it.
With that topic fleeting the wolf would turn her attention back to Shadow, letting out a little sigh of relief that it wasn't just her having trouble finding food "So Shadow, where are the more populated areas around here....I've been hunting all day and have come up mostly unsuccessful...and what I have caught can hardly be called a feast." she admitted rather sorely, her pride as a master arctic hunter taking a bit of a blow there, but she was new, so a learning curve was to be expected.
[sorry for the changing colors, trying to find one I like.] |

| Fel looked between the two and sat down, not quite sure how to partake in the conversation. Though she had gained some hunting skills during her years as a loner, the fighting spirit was always the stronger within her. Perhaps that was why she never fancied becoming a hunter for her packs… It did not matter though. There was not much to do but watch them converse.
It seemed funny to her how alike Shadow and her looked, how good of friends they were, and yet how different they could be. The lead hunter was much more sociable all around than the older onyx fae. Even now she was being engaged in conversation, though it be business related. The icy gaze flickered to Katyusha, studying her form again and almost sizing her up with its glance. Fel often attempted to memorize the way wolves’ bodies looked in tension, but could tell that new hunter was becoming more relaxed by the moment. The guardian’s long tail swept softly against the snow, curling around her paws as she remained in a statuesque perch, her attention fading softly from the two before her and travelling around to their surroundings. Ears swiveling, she could pick up a soft crunch somewhere up in a near-by tree as a squirrel must have hopped outside onto a branch.
