| "Hello?" The thick furred she-wolf wandered aimlessly through the woods. It was clearly marked by wolves, a pack. She needed some kind of knowledge of where they were though, she didn't know the territory and the scents were concentrated everywhere. Nothing stuck out to her. She scented another group of wolves as well, but she wandered slightly into their territory and could hear growls coming from deeper inside. She steered clear. She let out a loud howl, giving up on finding them herself. Her howl clearly stated her presence, and asking to be found. She hoped the wolves here were kind enough to offer her a place. Sapphire sat down, her blue eyes gazing around the clearing, ears perked. Someone would come soon, they wouldn't ignore a wolf in their own territory. She let out a stifled yawn, traveling all day had wore her down. Hopefully though, she wouldn't have to wait much longer. |

| Days, hours, weeks, minutes. They were all the same. A measurement of time used to make wolves feel older, to judge their timeline by. But in experience, each was different. No two days were exactly the same. Just as no two wolves were the same.Even in identical twins there was at least one distinguishing feature. It might be a birthmark missing from the other twin, or it could be a completely different personality. Things may look the same on the exterior, but the interior will prove different. There's always a difference. That was the moral. No matter how alike you may think you are to your family, your best friend or even your enemy, there's always a key difference. And it is that which makes you, you.
This particular individual ran her usual border patrol, coming across a sweet looking white fae. The fae seemed nervous, perhaps out of sorts. Both natural and expected of one found in unfamiliar territory. She stood and watched, hidden behind the ferns as she was, the other let out a call. Nnlya smirked as the fae settled to her haunches to wait. Well, she thought, at least this one won't need to wait very long. Stepping gracefully through the fronds, the Elite let out a soft chuckle. "You didn't need to howl, dear, I was already aware of your presence." She smiled and settled herself to sit across from the fae, taking in her features. "Now, tell me, what is your name, dear? Am I correct in assuming you wish to gain entrance to our ranks?" Her voice was soft and sweet against the autumn breeze that tickled her growing winter coat. She waited. |

| The fae flinched, not expecting such a quick appearance. And to be honest, not from a female either. But nonetheless, the white wolf dipped her head in respect for what she assumed to be the Alphess, or at least of a higher rank. "Sapphire," The fae dipped her head, then nodded. "Yes, I did travel a good distance to get here," She shifted her paws, her head tilting. "May I ask of your name?" Sapphire then asked, her long white coat ruffling slightly in the wind. She was curious of the pack, she hadn't received much information, but she waited for this higher ranking female to give her that information. She didn't want to see so arrogant to ask so many questions, especially as her own ranking could depend on this wolf. Her entrance appeared to depend on this wolf for that matter. Sapphire allowed herself a small smile. This wolf gave off a strong scent, but it was sweet and offered warmth and kindness. The fae made her feel at home, and safe. Welcomed even. Her blue eyes kept a solid gaze though, there was no reason to break it from petty curiosity. |

| The Elite made no hesitation to answer. "Of course. My name is Nnlya. I hold the rank of Elite here in Helidos, under the reign of our Alphess Quinn." She could see on the large wolfs face she was full to bursting with questions. But all would be answered in good time. It would not be prudent to give away too much pack information to a wanderer. Especially if they should be turned away and seek out acceptance in Erenyx. Sapphire, she mused, what an interesting name. No doubt given for the colour of her eyes. But still more information was needed before they could continue. "Tell me about yourself, Sapphire. What brought you here? Where do you come from? Where do your skills lie?" Her head cocked lightly to the left as she questioned the fae, wondering what history might have entangled itself around this lovely wolf. Certainly she had noticed the thin scar above her eye and the nick in her ear. She was either an experienced fighter with scars as evidence, or just an unfortunately clumsy individual. The Elite finitely considered herself to be of the former category, however, she bore no visible scars to tell her tale. The only reminders of her own past were her memories. Memories she preferred to keep under lock and key, buried deep in the vault of her mind. |

| "Nnlya," Sapphire commented, dipping her head. "A beautiful name," She had to think a moment at the next set of questions, unsure of what to say. To reveal such a past to a complete stranger? Or to make up a strong along the lines of such, to prove to be even greater. The white fae had always shown be a magnificent liar, it was how she kept secrets hidden her entire life. So she nodded. "Apologies," She said, for have taken so long to answer, "There are many places to start," She shifted, thinking again before she began. "I came from the Pack of Flames," Not a lie. "My rank was the Lead Warrior, and I was respected among the pack," Again, not a lie. "A horrible deed was committed by the higher ranks of the pack, and I fled, for fear of what had become of my home," Once again, truths. "I was a coward, I will admit, but I was young and naive and have learned much on my travels," Sapphire paused and looked to the Elite, hoping not to over-speak or bore the fae, but as far as she could tell there appeared nothing wrong. And then, the lies began. "I travelled for a moon, and came across a black bear. A smaller one, thankfully, and I was able to fight it off," She'd noticed Nnlya looking to her ear, and perhaps at the scar above her eye, and figured to incorporate it. "It was frightening, and of course I didn't actually hurt the creature enough to serious wound or kill it. I just avoided enough of it's blows and managed to fight it off long enough to tire it out. All but my ear had healed," I paused, thinking for a moment. "Nothing else marvelous happened. A few loners told me about the packs in these areas, and I tried my hardest to find you. It took another two moons to find you, but I managed," I dipped my head respectfully, "I prefer fighting over hunting, my white coat makes it harder for me to do so effectively," I addressed her last question. "I'm not too bad at either though," I added, then paused. "I hope I haven't talked your ear off," |

| Nnlya sat there and listened. She smiled at the easy flattery of her name, but she enjoyed the aura of positivity all the same. There was a distinct pause where the female appeared undecided as to whether she should tell her story. It was a feeling the Elite was all too familiar with. Perhaps the Loner was deciding what she would omit from her tale. Which was understandable, but not desirable. She wished upon none the curse of a dark past and yet there would always be some. She listened intently for the story for any hints as to what the female might be useful for in their pack. And it appeared Warrior was her forte. "No, no, of course not. But don't be so hard on yourself. In the colder months, a white coat can be quite beneficial in terms of hunting and camouflage." She paused for a quick breath. "In any case, if you think yourself up to the task and you can swear yourself to our Alphess, then I shall name you a Warrior of Helidos." |

| The white female dipped her head with appreciation. "Thank you, I will honorably swear myself to the Alphess, and the rest of the pack," She smiled, and felt her chest swell with pride. It was a lower rank than she was used to, but the concept was the same. she would train, patrol, and fight for her pack when necessary. It was a thrill for her to be able to say that with complete honesty again. Before, after a while, it became uncertain. She was also prideful in her story. She was hardly even certain that all of it would pass as truthful, but was thankful it did. She kept her uncertainty hidden through the tale, and it appeared to pass. She tilted my head. "Is there anything I will need to know about this pack and the surrounding ones? Or anything about training or hunting?" |

| Nnlya nodded in satisfaction and smiled with a hint of pride as the other swore her service. "Very well. You will now be known to all as Warrior Sapphire of Helidos. Come, cross our border and enter your new home." She stepped aside to allow the female to pass, then took up stride beside her, knowing if the Warrior followed her scent it would not lead directly to the main encampment. "I suppose I must treat you to know that there is another pack nearby by the name of Erenyx. Currently they are lead by the Alpha Steele. It would be wise to avoid him as he is strong, cunning and vicious. He will not hesitate to bring harm to any of our family here in Helidos. I wish not to sow prejudice in your mind but generally those in his pack are of a more malevolent nature. I tell you this only so that if you choose to journey into neutral territory, you are aware and on your guard. Though personally, my experiences with those of Erenyx have been positive enough. Cordial at least. As for hunting and your duties as Warrior, we do have hunters designated to the task, but certainly you are welcome to add to the kill pile. You'll always find someone willing to go for a hunt with you. If you seek training, you may find either I or my Male Elite counterpart, Eclipse and ask. Or any of your fellow warriors would enjoy a little practice spar, I'm sure. I also suggest you present yourself to the Lead Warrior Yiska. She is a wonderful wolf and and excellent fighter. I'm sure she would be willing to work with you, she is quite capable. I should know," she said with a small smile. She was quite proud of her friend Yiska. "I trained her myself."She finished. They continued their way through the pack lands in silence and parted ways.
