A Rose By Any Other Name [Open To All] Empty

During his time as a loner, Jackson had often travelled along the border of Deathly Whisper Glade. Never once had he tread across it's border, the treachourous terrain seeming to great a risk to take on an adventurous whim. Much had changed with the turn of the season, including his situation. The ashen fiend was no longer a loner, he was now part of a pack. No longer having to be cautious whilst hunting, he had grown stronger and healthier than he had been in months. But his frame still insisted on being lean, refusing to bulk out like other males. Jackson couldn't remember the last time he had done something purely for the joy of testing himself and his limits. Jackson's lope was easy was he sped to the Glade, his muscles barely even reacting. He was as water. Dawn was a beautiful thing, to watch the sky come to life in a myriad of colour. Had the fog not begun to consume him, no doubt the suns rays would brighten his shimmering coat.

When the moisture travelled from between his toes to consuming his paws, he finally climbed upon one of the many rocks that littered the area. They jutted out from beneath the fog like fish through water. His claws dug in to the wet surface for extra grip. It was then when he started to lope again. A few strides and a leap, a stride and a leap, a leap from a stand still. This is what I'm meant to do, this is what I'm here for. The silver male knew that he didn't have to travel in such a manner. A little known mountain path ran alongside, he could see it even now. By the time the sun had fully shown her face, Jackson's muscles had finally begun to tire. Stopping, his tongue lolled from his maw and his breath beat out of him, stirring the air. Satisfied with his workout, the ashen wolf made a final leap to land upon the opposite path. The small stones were slippery and had he not been as agile as a cat, he would have landed on his face. As it was, his landing was near soundless and brought a smile to his mouth. Jackson stretched, rolling his shoulders and sticking out his hind legs before heading back at a walk to cool down.

The click of claws against rock would be the only sound to be heard as a ghostly figure made itself up the steep slope- a hazel gaze remaining indifferent even as it swept over the sheer drop to the right of the narrow trail- ending in jagged rocks far below. With a twitch of the ears the wolf would pad around a corner jus as the fog was penetrated by bright streams of sunlight. Squinting, Tundra would let out a noise of disgust. The sun infuriated her when it shone so brightly and happy when it wasn't even wanted. These lands were not sun-friendly, this was a place of coldness and darkness. Not stupid blinding sunlight and brightness. Feeling exposed without her shadows and blanket of fog- Tundra would sigh heavily and continue forward- seeking comfort in the cool firm rock beneath her paws. It had yet to be warmed by the sun as it peeked from the receding clouds and Tundra made the most of it- coming to a stop and letting the coolness seep into her pads, eyes shut agains the light.

Finally they would once again open- revealing a set of hazel orbs that looked like they should hold warmth and gentleness yet were instead cold and emotionless. Showed what the past could do to you. Pricking her rounded ears- a sound would be caught in them for the second time, the first time being the reason her eyes had opened in the first place. Twitching the black leathery nose on her muzzle- a strong scent of wolf would flood her senses. It was Erenyx though, boring. Shame it wasn't Helidos, she could do with a fight to loosen her muscles and pass time. Maybe it was a cocky bastard from Erenyx that needed to be taught a lesson? Padding forward lazily, she would lean back on her haunches as she spotted a silver pelted male. His Erenyx scent wasn't too strong and he still held a strong scent of rivers, lakes, mountains and forests. Probably new to the pack. A bitter smile would grace her features before it was once again gone- no sign of the fact that it had even existed present on her features. She wondered how he was enjoying the reckless group of twisted wolves he'd chosen to join.

She would merely sit there- not a noise indicating him of her presence and wondered with slight amusement how long it would take for him to notice he was being watched. Throwing her gaze over to a large rock sitting in the shadows- her tail would give a small twitch. Perfect. Silently she would pull herself onto the cold object- lying down on it and letting a silent contented sigh leave her as the cold seeped into her bones. She knew the sun wouldn't manage to steal everything from her. Lying there, she would keep her hazel orbs fixed on the male below with an almost lazy demeanor- boredom trying to become an evident emotion in the female however failing for now.

Chiara journeyed far from the pack lands that spring day around high noon. Her pups, who were not much pups anymore, had their own things to do and she was content to leave them be Willow had tried to tag along with her, but Chiara urged her to make some friends or train a bit. She had a soft approach with the shy fae, much different than how Magnus tended to her. Instead of balking at her to shape up she was unusually kind and sweet to the fae, as she reminded her so much of her soft spoken late sister. Chiara didn't mean to dote on her at the expense of her other daughter and sons, but she couldn't help it. She knew Piper and Ciro didn't mind, as they went after Magnus for approval more, but she had the feeling Aspen was jealous of the white fae. Sighing in ill contentment at the rifts in her own family she tried to put her mind at ease for a morning lope to strengthen her body more. Since meeting the packs new Beta Chiars had spent her days re-training her body to it's former glory and beyond. Now new muscle held of spot where draped flesh hung from pregnancy. Her stamina had increased and her slim limbs plumped out from the small amount of bulk beneath them. She looked good.

Coming to a pack on the territory she hadn't visited in quite some time, she was surprised to scent two newer pack mates here. Not recognizing them instantly she walked forward, a thin layer of sweat clinging to her fur after her run here. Not pants escaped her mouth as her stamina held true from the short bound, nor did her muscles ache as they once did the month prior. Given a few more weeks she would have outdone her former training and really be a force to be reckoned with. Approaching the pair she saw it was a male and fae, the latter perched on a rock. The former looked about not scenting either for the time being. Being aloof as ever Chiara sat down comfortably and licked at her paw, biting at grit between her toes and waiting to be addressed. She was curious if these two knew who had just entered the fray, for oh what fun it would be to tell them who she was. Almost wishing at their ignorance she yearned for the opportunity to strike some fear and respect into someone, even out of lack of knowledge. She was formidable in her former glory, did she still have it?

Fel did not mind the warm sun of midday blazing upon her raven-colored back as she ran, making sure to stretch her limbs and propel herself further with every stride. Her maw was open ever so slightly to breathe in air as she galloped through the territories, while her nose paid more attention to her surroundings for practical purposes. With her increasing age, it was important as ever to maintain her top physical form. Though if one was to see the seven year-old fae flying past, they would know her physique hadn’t slackened in the slightest. Whilst she ran, she processed thoughts of recent encounters, and more specifically of her fellow beta. Irrationality seemed to be the perfect partner in rank, with the same emotionless and silent demeanor as herself. As she reflected upon interacting with him, Fel was quite pleased with Teren’s judgment in the selection of rank.

After a decent while, the scent of her own pack members drifted from a nearby neutral territory. She did not personally care what they were doing, but figured she should investigate anyway, just in case they were plotting something pathetically stupid. Fel figured that Teren’s arrival was not unanimously welcomed, evident from Samael’s confessions of his goal. But the young heir had a right to be unhappy. Other wolves, however, would have to be forced back into their proper places. She turned towards them and slowed her pace, ceasing her rhythmic breathing pattern in favor of a normal breath. The beta ambled quietly into the misted expanses of rock, spotting first a small black fae which she identified as Chiara. With her tail snaking behind her in a height parallel to her spine, she carried herself with calm dignity. Coming up from behind the guardian, she sat down beside her and watched the other two wolves. Seeing nothing interesting, Fel lowered her maw momentarily and swiped at a particular patch of fur on her chest, smoothing the sweat away from her thick pelt. Her mountain fur was both a blessing and a curse. Without it, she would not have been allowed to live for more than the first two days of her life. But now, in the warming weather, it heated quicker than that of the others. Sure, her undercoat thinned out a bit with the hotter temperatures, but the remainder of her fur was still surprisingly insulated. Fel was used to this by now though, having spent the last five years in lower altitudes than what she was bred for.

Done with the quick grooming, she returned her apathetic, colorless gaze onto the two others, identifying only Tundra. Fel did not acknowledge Chiara other than by sitting beside her. She sat still like a tall black statue gazing at the white and ashen wolves. She almost wondered if they would react to the two ranking faes’ presence, if they even knew or recalled their positions…

His pace was slow, distracted and unhurried. It mattered not to him how quickly he returned to Erenyx, only knowing that he would eventually. He had only gone a few paces before something white caught his eye. It was only a glimpse, mostly hidden by the fog, but Jackson would hardly of survived his forced solitary travels if he wasn't aware even in rest. But he was not one for drama and would hardly make a scene, it was not unusual to stalk others before you show yourself. Just as he came around the corner, maw opening to say hello, two other forms to shape in the swirling grey. The mercury male's long slim limbs came to a stop, the corners of his lips turning up slightly. I come out here expecting to find no one, yet I find three at once.

His demeanor changed, a coy smile claiming his lips. It transformed his entire expression. The hardness eased off from his stance, his eyes brightening and becoming soft. Just as he was about to speak a slight breeze stired the air, bringing to his nose the scents of his companions. The first thing he realised was that they were all female. He had rarely spent time in the company of fae, being mostly alone or with his brothers. The second thing he realised was that they were all members of Erenyx. And that he had no idea who any of them were. I'm so going to get played. Stifling a chuckle, Jackson addressed them all. "Good afternoon ladies. My name is Jackson. I have only recently been assigned the role of Hunter by Alpha Teren. Might I enquire about yourselves?", his voice was as sweet as honey. Jackson's emerald eyes glanced across each one of them as he spoke before dropping his gaze to the ground. He did his best to appear unagitated by their presence, for who knew if one or more held ranks greater than his own.

[Sorry for shortness, my family drama is draining my muse. Please continue]

PostSubject: Re: A Rose By Any Other Name [Open To All] A Rose By Any Other Name [Open To All] Icon_minitimeOctober 25th 2014, 04:37

Lying on the cold rock- the fae's hazel gaze drifted from the male distractedly and instead fixed itself on the land that stretched out as far as the eye would see- mostly obscured by fog but strong beams of sunlight managed to penetrate the thick cloud and reveal what lay hidden away. With a sigh she would stretch out and return her attention to the ashen male. The creature seemed to become aware of her presence not too long after she had entered the area in which he was located and she would admit, he was good. Maybe if she were not who she was, she would appear impressed yet no emotion made itself visible in her gaze and she would watch lazily from the rock as he turned to face her. However just as the action was made- both gazes would switch to another point as two more entered the area. Both Erenyx. Both black pelted. Once again Tundra would feel unsettled at the all too familiar form of Fel, a wolf who looked all too similar to the Fell she once knew- and the name similarities only made it worse. The large dark female would be the only one to strike any emotion into the white fae's gaze and this would be only a tiny flicker of unease yet for Tundra it was something. Pushing herself upwards with her strong forelegs, the warrior would allow herself to shift into a sitting position to get a better view of the others then what she would get from lying.

The two seemed to show dominance however Tundra did not care much for this fact. She was not one to grovel at her superiors feet yet she was not one to demand respect and go about challenging others either. She would merely observe everyone with the same emotionless respect- unless one asked for trouble only would she then show another deeper form of the ghostly fae. As the male spoke- Tundra would slowly let her gaze fix on him- its moving from Fel slow and almost cautious. So she had been correct in assuming the male was new- he did not seem as bad as some of the others that dwelt in these lands and she would have pitied him if she cared at all for his well being. A smile like that at the site of another pack member may not be what he would give after living in these lands for too long. At the hunter's question- Tundra would remain completely silent. Gaze turning away from all the others and fixing itself on the lands that stretched away forever- never coming to an end. The chilly breeze would ruffle her thick fur and with a sigh she would turn back- still remaining silent for the time being.

The others could speak first- she did not really care much about her rank for now- all it was was was a job at the current moment. Unless it was to become anything more- she would not consider it as a title.

[Could have been better I know, just didn't have a lot of time.]
