((Please excuse the shortness.)) Coming back from a run, Fel smelled the air of Erenyx’s home turf. Though her nose automatically searched for scents, the deep breath seemed to be more of a relaxation technique. It slowed her breathing back to normal. She shook her shoulders calmly before walking in the direction of the healers’ den. A smirking satisfaction surfaced in her mind, but failed to make it to her physical features. Judgment Day… Either Heaven would die, or the new healer would be subject to months of physical abuse. In any case, Fel knew blood would eventually be spilt. One option would lead to the disposal of a body, and another would lead to a more adequate Erenyx wolf. Both options were winning end results for her. With her tail snaking behind her, the sable beast approached the den. It was noon, just like she had promised. Fel sat down with a strange gracefulness that did not really appear elegant, but was still poised. She was much too tall, too large, too stocky of a build to show the aspects one would associate with a female. Instead, she sat there with the silence and the composure of the Grim Reaper and waited for her harvest to appear. Her cold orbs focused on the entrance, watching for movement in the dark cave. If Heaven failed to appear, she would lumber inside and deal the adequate punishment for failure to obey orders. But for now she sat and waited, an eerie silence around the otherwise sunny patch of clear grass before the den.

Heaven stretched slightly, wincing a tad bit from the pain in her shoulder. She shook her body and stepped out of the den. She started walking around near the den and then disappeared back into the safe hole. She studied the herbs she had collected, her ears flicking towards the entrance as she awaited her judgement to show up. She shifted slightly, knowing deep down she wanted to improve and be stronger. That way she could protect the one's she loves. Her deep brown eyes scanned the den and she stood there quietly. She twisted as she heard the paw-steps of the beta outside the den. She took a deep breath and moved towards the entrance, her eyes searching as she stepped into the noon high sunlight. She turned to face the she-wolf and stood quietly. She wasn't in submission, but she held a relaxed state. The soft earth felt nice against her paws, as if they were comforting her for the training she was going to endure. Not only the training from a beta, but she had much to learn about different herbs. She glanced up at the beta and looked down at the ground just as quickly. "I'm here." Ready to improve. She licked her nose nervously and then waited for her task from the she-wolf. She was ready but she was also uncertain. Her shoulders shook slightly, but she stood very still as she awaited command from the ebony she-wolf. Her heart pounded against her chest, thump thump thump. Ringing in her ears and racing down through her legs and paws. She listened carefully, ready to dodge in case the fae decided to attack her again. She glanced around, taking in all the places she could move about and fight back. Because, to defend herself, she was willing to fight the beta. Though this she-wolf must have been chosen as beta for a reason, that didn't bother Heaven so much.

| Within moments, the ‘healer’ came out. Fel did not greet her or acknowledge her presence, save for her eyes trailing the smaller form of the fae. At least, Fel thought, she was punctual. The Beta did not care for her useless words. She never did understand why some wolves felt obligated to state the obvious. Yes, she was here. That was evident even to a pup. It would be just as useful for her to say ‘You are dead’ to a corpse. The onyx wolf rose from her seat and stepped towards her. She could have mentally smiled at the fear that reeked from Heaven’s body, or for that matter, the tension that quivered through her muscles. It was pleasant to strike not the fear of death, but the fear of the unknown into someone’s heart. And yet, it was almost... almost… remarkable that the weaker fae stood her ground today. Already an improvement. Fel wondered if her resolve would hold against an actual attack, and that would surely be tested in due time. Right now though, she simply looked at the wound. It looked to have healed up quite a bit since yesterday, but there was always a limit. And the limit had to be pushed.
“Stretch your shoulder down. Stretch as far as you can.” Fel’s voice rumbled in a command. There was no praise for the healing efforts she made, nor would there ever be any. Right now she just wanted to see the injury reopened purposely. If the wound was skillfully taken care of, the damage would not be that bad. Perhaps there was a chance it would not break at all. But if the bite had done little besides scabbed over, blood would again trickle down the mixed pelt. Fel stared down at Heaven as she waited for her command to be completed. It was understood between them both that failure to obey orders would be met with corporal punishment. The Beta stood silently, waiting for her. If the results of the healing skills test proved satisfactory, they would continue on into one of the territories. She already had a little plan created for the occasion.
As they stood, a bird began to sing overhead. Fel’s gaze did not stray from the form before her, but a raven-black ear flew upward towards the sound. How sickeningly adorable the song was… It made her want to pinch the plumed pest’s neck between her jaws.

Heaven stood up gently, obeying the beta as quickly as possible. She stretched out her front paws sliding forward against the soft grass. She stretched, pain shooting through her shoulder but it wasn't all bad. No blood ran down her shoulder since she had used some herbs in the den to care to the wound. Of course soon, she would replace those used herbs quickly. She was stretched completely out, even though her shoulder was very much in pain, she decided it was best not to show she was in such pain. When she finished stretching, she stood back to her full height, glancing up at the beta but keeping her eyes low to the ground out of respect. Her tail hung between her legs and she was ready for another attack from the beta, except this time she was ready to dodge and fight back. Only if the beta did attack, if not then she would just be ready for whatever the ebony she-wolf had in mind for her. Her breathing was normal, everything seemed fine as long as she didn't admit that something was to much for her. She had already learned not to give too much submission, though from habit, she wanted to curl into a ball and please the fae that was near her. However, she knew that if she did do that, she would meet death. She had to become stronger, more cruel, at least... only when she was near pack-mates, otherwise she was in the clear to be herself. Acting and lying was easy, especially within the pack she was in. All she had to do was hold the same attitude as the beta did, except with respect and some submission. Just not too much. She also needed to learn how to fight, which she figured would come in good timing. She didn't speak a single word towards the she-wolf this time, not really having anything to say anyways. She just stood there, awaiting orders for her to fulfill. She was fully alert but look rather relaxed instead, even as her mind wandered back to the past. Her mind filled with many thoughts, mostly of her old friend, Hush. She knew that if Hush had been there, he probably would have taken the blow and fought back for her. She had always called him, 'her protector' a guardian. But now she had to hold her own ground, fight her own fights. That was why she had joined this pack when she realized exactly what they were like. They would help her grow stronger, so she could protect the one's she loves instead of watching them die in front of her eyes.

Fel watched the fae bow and stretch upon command. And yet, no trickle of coppery-scented liquid appeared. So, she thought, this healer could actually use her herbs properly. But as she looked over the rest of her body, small and evidently weak, the dark fae’s general opinion of her remained unaltered. The only thing that changed was that Fel had seen enough of her healing capabilities. Now was the time to strengthen her soft, fluffy body into the frame of a true Erenyx wolf. The Beta turned around, beginning to walk off towards the brush. “Follow me,” she said in her usual tone. There was absolutely no invitation in her words. This training session, as well as the ones that would follow, were mandatory. No questions asked, no pleas of mercy to be heard. Fel was actually quite satisfied with her position in the pack now. No longer was she simply a guardian. After four years, she was once again the enforcer of pack regulations. And one of these regulations was that there be no weak links to the chain. If Heaven was to stay, she had to be made into steel. With this thought in her dark, calculating mind, Fel headed in the direction of Frozen Fang Pass.
