Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Empty
PostSubject: Re: Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Icon_minitimeDecember 9th 2014, 15:09

Fel sat silently until her name was finally called by her devilish master. Upon hearing the order, she stood up from her seated position and stretched her long limbs thoroughly for a moment before leading the way to the clearing. A series of spars to prove the worth of the females of Erenyx seemed like a very logical test for Teren to initiate. After all, he had to find out who the most useful wolves somehow. As usual however, Fel did not question his choices and simply obeyed, trusting his judgment.

When the beta reached the clearing, she turned to face the warrior that had been selected to fight against her and studied her form. Ariste, in comparison, was smaller, much younger, and more agile than Fel, who was clearly larger, older, and stronger in physique. However, it would seem that they were still fairly balanced, as Fel set aside much time into the maintenance of her agility and was raised in a terrain that required quick paws, and her opponent evidently had quite some muscle to her small frame. Setting herself in a stance that balanced stability and mobility (her forepaws a little wider than her hind), she continued to train her gaze on the other fae, watching her movements. “Come, young warrior. Let us see how you fare in battle.” Her tone was as calm, smooth, and deep as it always was while she lowered her head defensively as not to allow her throat to be lunged at immediately.

Fel was no idiot, she would not charge at a wolf who was light on her feet in a situation where they would fight anyway. Instead, she prepared to counter the attack Ariste would make. She might not be able to run around as quickly as her opponent, but her reflexes were quicker than one might assume. A number of options, depending on the nature of Ariste’s attack, could be used. If she charged straight at her, Fel would thrust upwards against her in an attempt to knock her away and roll her over. Fel would be offering up her back and thick scruff, but neither was truly important in the long run. In the event of an attack from the side, Fel would either duck slightly and go straight for the other’s legs or lunge straight for the other’s neck, all depending on the angle, whilst possibly taking a hit to the side. If the other went at her from behind, she would be met with a heavy bucking kick from the larger fae. For now, she stood squarely in her position, ears attentively erect (she feared no harm to them, and would uphold her status even in battle) and tail calmly pressed against her leg safely.

Ariste walked forward, mind moving faster than her body, paws carrying her across the ground at a walk. She could feel the heat of the sun on her pelt, searing through her fur in an attempt to over heat her. At the same time a breeze tugged at each hair, providing some relief. The atramentous vix's gaze turned first toward the Alpha in a brief glance, then to the Beta, whom she would evidently be sparring against. Argute orbs surveying her surrounding for the second time that day, her audits twisted towards Fel. She moved aside from a rock, turning to fully face her opponent, widening the distance between her paws for a better grip. She had won against her former opponent, a white bitch who had admittedly been quite evenly matched with her, counterparts of each other. The Beta was something completely different however, larger than herself and built with more muscle and brute force. But she knew better than to underestimate her, she was the Beta after all, and would surely surprise her in being fleet-footed. Ariste could clearly tell she was older, and likely had more fighting experience, but she feared not, not caring what happened to her but focused on displaying her skills in battle.

'Come, young warrior. Let us see how you fare in battle.' Gold eyes raised up to meet cerulean as she was spoken to, staring calmly into the pools of the highest ranking female in the pack. She refused to flinch or show any form of weakness, holding herself with confidence, but not hautain and stood lower than her two superiors, not that she were as tall as them regardless. The obsidian Beta had been pauciloquent, but the few words spoken drove Ariste to shift into a more battle-ready position, muscles tensing anxiously as she kept her breathing even and calm. She didn't bother to respond to the comment made, instead observing the fae and taking note of what weaknesses she could find. Obviously, her ears were a beacon to be viciously torn off of her scull, but it was far too obvious, and her neck and head would be an immediate target. Instead, she shifted her weight to her hind paws subtly, noting that the other female was allowing her the first attack. That could be bad for her, as she was smaller, but if she made a wise decision it could also prove to benefit her. This wasn't a waiting game, she couldn't sit still and simply decline a chance to show how swift she was.

Turning her tulips away from her adversary, Ariste pressed them tightly to her cranium, eyes never straying from their target. "Fel, is it not?" She finally spoke, choosing to confirm she had the Beta's name correct rather than make small talk or provoke a fight - as in, a war of words. Her eyes finally moved from their fixed point, flickering down to Fel's shoulder, followed by her throat. She attempted to make it as unnoticeable as possible, but she had a feeling the action would not go unseen. She had watched the many females in the pack battle for domination, each one trying to win over the other, and carefully studied their fighting patterns. Nevertheless, she had won with her own style, and wasn't interested in copying another. Suddenly ducked into a crouch, the charcoal Warrior was off, sprinting towards the other with fully harmful intents. She could never knock her over without unbalancing her first, the thought was so useless it never crossed her mind. Instead she charged at the demoness on a diagonal to her right leg, still crouched down to shoulder-level. She wouldn't leap off the ground, but would fake a bite at her shoulder.  If the she-beast raised her head to return an attack, Ariste would make a swift snap for her neck. If she didn't, she would proceed with her plan and attempt to sink her fangs to the bone lower on the wolf's leg, nearer to her ankle where it would to more damage to hinder her speed. She would be at an awkward angle to attempt to tip over, but if that was tried she would grab for her muzzle, to slash open the skin there, and proceed to try to roll away. She aimed to deliver pain, and to do it so efficiently to receive minimum harm in return. It was only a spar, but she didn't treat it as one - why hinder her own abilities simply because she wasn't trying to kill her foe?  She wanted to push herself past her limits, not try to save the other as much pain as possible. Heart racing, she pressed her tail between her legs, the long banner hanging above the ground by quite little for a wolfs tail. Baring her fangs open-jawed, she prepared to execute her plan.

Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Empty
PostSubject: Re: Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Icon_minitimeDecember 14th 2014, 21:36

((Pardon the length. I'm busy with exams... ^-^))

Fel watched her opponent with a calculating gaze, noting the movements of her body and eyes… The later of which was most helpful. Surely, though, there had to be more to her thoughts than her shoulder – Ah! There it was. The throat. Fel would have chuckled mentally if she could have felt amused by this, for her head was low, and her main defensive priority was her biologically weaker spots. Bites and scratches could be overlooked, a weakened leg could be pushed through, but there was little one could do with a torn-apart throat. If her mind were not so acutely focused on the matter at paw, as it usually was, she would have allowed it to wander to her first memory of seeing a wolf’s neck pour out blood and nothing but a desperate gurgle come out of its gaping jaws. Perhaps it was her second mentor, maybe her third… Either way he was a cruel bastard. That was the only mentor she did not kill for the purposes of proving her progress. He had been sentenced to death for treacherous activity. It was a rather fond memory, though it did not come to her at this moment.

Regarding the spar, Fel confirmed her self-chosen name with a curt nod, not caring to ask about the other’s, before she braced herself for the charge. What use would knowing her name be to Fel at this moment? As the other flew her way, the beta watched her calmly and noted the speed of her approach, counting the cadence of her stride. In the opportune moment, she ducked down and lunged forward in a powerful bound before the dive for her ankles was made. Fel did not know of the faux rush, nor did it matter now. The impact forced a grunt out of the raven beta, though it caused no real harm. Her weight, far greater than her opponent’s, clashed with that of the other. Like Heaven’s boulder, Fel did not cease to push forward against Ariste, aiming to eventually knock her over with her strength. As their bodies met, Fel sought to secure a firm hold on the side of the smaller fae’s neck with her snapping jaws, angling her own throat away from the attacker while pressing onwards with her weight. Her paws, continuously progressing and digging into the ground, remained just slightly wider than the other set.

Attack: Counter the rush with a lunge forward, using momentum to keep pushing forward as she snaps for a grip onto her neck fur.
Defense: Throat angled away, but that is all.
Injuries: None, really.

Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Empty
PostSubject: Re: Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Icon_minitimeDecember 16th 2014, 01:50

Ariste felt the wind whistling in her ears and combing through her fur as she sprinted towards the opposing fae, mind firmly set on the fight going on. Soon, she felt herself collide jarringly with the other with a force enough to stumble her a few pawsteps away, - saving her a second from the full counterattack and a familiar pressure was set against her chest - a painful cracking noise sounding, followed by a white hot, blinding pain in her ribcage. Though the pain was instant, her expression never changed to express it, no indication in her eyes it had even done any damage. Dragging in a pained breath, she twisted and killed the cry of pain lodged in her throat before the sound of weakness could escape her lips. At that same time, she felt the impact transform into a shove, fangs now if not already heading towards the Warrior fae's neck, catching the motion out of the corner of her bright golden eyes. Jaws shutting with a click!, Ariste sightly lowered her belfry into her neck, focusing her attention back on the obsidian bitch and the challenge before her. Her whole reaction had taken space in less than a mere two seconds, but Fel would already have her barrings gathered and an attack in mind, and every roar in your ear caused by beat of the heart counted towards your victory or loss. Swinging her ducked head around to meet the attack, she angled the side of her face on an angle from the fangs. Head pushing forward to butt into the side of Fel's head - more for distraction than harm, she felt razor fangs scrape down the side of her head and neck starting from her cheekbone and ending at her shoulder joint, blood welling up from the long scrape. Even so, she could tell it wasn't anything too deep or close to the bone, and prevented her from being caught in her jaws, something that would be far worse. From where the scarlet liquid ran down her jaw and dripped to the floor, she could tell it ran parallel to her existing scar, just below it.

Instead of pushing against the force, she slightly backed up with in, which unsteadied her, but it was far better to bend than to break - in other words, better to back up than to fall on her ass and get her throat torn from her neck. The pure adrenaline and desire to fight coursed through her veins, drowning away the angry cries from her torso. The incessant pressure on her injured frame pushed her to twist to her side and away, but rather than follow foolish instinct that would allow her her attacker to be upon her in milliseconds, she took a daring move and rose up on her hind braces as her quick-moving mind speedily thought of a new attack. Instinctively pinning her auditories back down to her cranium, Ariste let her tail flick back and forth for balance, knowing it was currently out of reach, and probably not thought about. She wasted no time - Fel would knock her over in the course of a heart beat, or a blink of an eye while on her hind paws. Her hind claws finally digging in resistance, Ariste hooked her left foreleg, the one closest to the Beta around the ebon's torso for balance so she wasn't immediately thrown off. Plummage curling behind her leg now in safety, her talons curled deeper into the soil, quarters and hinds shoving her body back against the she-beast, ribs protesting indignantly, but were once again ignored and shoved in a mentally locked room to sulk.

She was fully aware that Fel would most likely try to roll, and if that were the case she wouldn't try to hang on and risk the irrepairable damage broken ribs could cause when crushed further into her body, instead releasing her for a moment and diving for her neck while she lay on the ground. Likened, should Fel purposely fall back to crush her she would attempt the same thing, though she didn't believe the great Beta would try something so foolish. Mind absently working out scenarios still, if Fel kept trying and accomplished shoving her onto her back, she would attack Fel's underbelly savagely, using fangs to slash up one of the most tender parts of the torso. Sun-colored visionaries would spend no time locking onto her sparring partner's scull, fangs following them as she move towards her ears and nape. What good would a hold on her scruff be? Of no use to her, as it would be futile to try to throw the other female, or try to fell her in such a potentially precarious position. Instead she would aim to slash up some of the more sensitive parts of her body, her ears and neck. while trying to protect her own. Her body would tense, breaths wheezing more than inhaling, but her mind had registered the damage to her sillhouette for a few moments time, never returning since then, instead deciding to deal with it later. Fangs bared, a low growl escaped her as she didn't bother to contain it, she rolled her shoulders forward slightly, still pressing on to keep herself upright and steady.

Attack: Using their lack of distance against Fel to make a grab for the back of her scull and her ears
Defense: Ears pinned, tail tucked. Ready with defenses in mind should Fel fall to either/any side or managed to push her over.
Injuries:Cracked and one or two broken ribs, a slash down the side of her face and neck.

(Excuse me if none some of it doesn't make sense or I repeat actions, I finished this at 4:50. Just tell me if I need to change or explain anything.)

Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Empty
PostSubject: Re: Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Icon_minitimeDecember 20th 2014, 12:13

Paws pounding against the ground, the raven beta continued to rush against her opponent as the other backed up in a post-collision stumble. It was always best to be the train in a collision, not the car stuck on the rails. And this she was, her muscles pumping to the war drums of her paws upon the dirt. Her stature had been lowered slightly to clash against this smaller fae at this point. When Fel snapped for a secure hold on the other’s scruff, she felt the sturdy little head of the other hit her own, and so, her aim was thrown off. Fel had aimed to get a hold on the fae… Instead she only won a scrape, and this was not enough for her. The demon would have made another bite, but her opponent had decided to rise onto her back paws. If Fel was capable of finding joy in stupidity, she would have smirked, but her face still showed nothing. Not intimidation, not interest, not even concern… Only calm, calculating concentration. After all, there was nothing to fear from this wolf. Ariste was not her sire… That was the only devil that walked this earth who could strike genuine fear into the beta’s heart. For her purposes now, and always, it was best for her to keep her mind in the game.

But before she could give the response she wanted, Fel felt fangs tear at the skin covering her skull, slashing a few cuts into it. Giving a low growl, she flattened her scratched ears before they could be torn apart, feeling a few trickles of blood run down to her cheek. The pain was truly a burning sting, but it not deep. Then again, to truly crush or dent her skull would take a lot more power. Regardless, she kept running forward, picking up her pace now that her opponent was only on two paws. As she sped along, she ducked her head beneath the paw that was around her, jaws open and aimed directly at her pectoral muscles. Her maw would very likely find her target, as with the position they were in, it was rather difficult to avoid, but the move left the thick top of her neck fur and the area between her shoulders open. From there, Fel finally used the power built up in her legs to thrust upwards as she pushed, still rushing forward. This, she knew was a solid position. If and when the fae stumbled backwards, Fel would not let go of her chest – if of course, she had it – and would continue to tear at the muscles and ribs there. She would also flick her ears slightly every few moments to prevent blood possibly running inside. They were now turned down and pressed backwards. Her paws, like before, remained just wider than those of her opponent, of which she was only using two.

Attack: Jaws going for chest, continued pushing forward and thrust upward.
Defense: Head below forelimbs, out of reach. (Ears pressed down, but this doesn’t really do anything.)
Injuries: Some cuts along the top of her head, a few scratches on her ears

Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Empty
PostSubject: Re: Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Beta Fel VS Warrior Ariste Icon_minitimeDecember 22nd 2014, 00:56

The dangerously majestic mistress was aiming for the lobes of the other female, scarlet fluid running from the side of her face and neck down her frame, making to splatter the ground in droplets like rain. She felt the satisfying feeling of her fangs and teeth making contact, the sweet metal tang of blood soaking in to her tongue, slowly trickling its way down her throat at a drip. She was displeased as the Betess pressed her ears to her head protectively, and though she probably could have torn them, she switched to search for a different weakness. It was then she felt the she-beast increase her speed, followed by the subtle muscle tense, indicating she was about to try an attack. It was hard to detect, especially since the Betess was already in the motion of running, but as long as you were somewhat familiar with what actions triggered what muscles, it was fairly easy to hone. She stiffened, shifting slightly to the attack she sensed oncoming. She knew the spar would end, and her expression remained the same, no real emotion displayed, but her mind sorted various attacks and defenses, eyes quickly assessing her surroundings and thinking of ways to use it to her advantage. From the corner of her eye, she saw the obsidian femme's head swing around, and she felt herself completely shifting. She had less than a second to decide whether she had to try to fall backwards, or push into whatever was coming.

Through her eyes, everything seemed to move in slow motion, providing more room for mental reaction. In reality, time was left unaltered, as was her physical reaction - simply a trick of the mind, to allow her to take in more information before making her judging. Eyes following Fel's, she noticed the focus on the underside of her chest, eyes narrowing. Quickly rising up on her hind paws, she swiftly twisted, but her movements were not quick lithe enough to safe her from the attacking jaws. She felt fangs grasp the fur there, as well as some of her flesh, but fell half on her back, half to the side. Off to the right and in front of the female Beta. She mentally winced, knowing there was blood seeping from where the fur and skin alike had been torn away, but it wasn't as deep as it would have been had she not moved. Tucking her limbs in as she rolled, she was back on her feet in a split second, had you blinked for too long you would've wondered how she had escaped the dark fae's jaws. With the same speed, the moment her mind registered solid ground under her paws, all of the power went to her braces, as she pushed off powerfully towards the black demoness. This time she was using their distance or lack thereof to try a powerful attack, as well as a speed attack. While she used her shoulder to run against the fae, her jaws would seek out her throat, not to crush, but to attempt to ensure victory. Her own shoulders would be rolled forward to the sides of her neck, nape facing away from her foe. She bothered not to hide her tail - if Fel so foolishly ran after her tail, she would be fully exposed. Auditories were, however, still clinging tightly to her cranium, lighter inner-ear turned downwards so as to blend in with the rest of her skull. If her sides were targetted, she wouldn't turn to bend to Fel's will, but would stand her ground, taking any attack to her shoulder to once again target her skull, her chin. If Fel met her head on, using her weight to counter Ariste's shove and dodge her throat attack, she would hone in on the overly-sensitive nose, which could and would cause great pain if she hit her mark. Sides pushing in and out with every breath, the Warrior's paws planted firmly each step closer to the woman, for balance and the strength in her thrusts winning slightly over speed in her run. A faint, brief glimmer of unwavering determination showed in her eyes, something almost impossible to catch, more so since she was running, and facing Fel and Fel alone. Nostrils flaring as she dragged in another subconsciously pained and difficult breath, her eyes turned as if to look at Fel, gaze moving to meet hers.

____________________________________
Attack: Running at Fel to shove into her almost head on (just a tad to Fel's left) and reach for her throat.
Defense: Ears pinned tightly, paws splaying wider while running for balance, shoulders rolled. Ready to fend off a counter attack from Fel.
Injuries: Cracked and broken ribs, a slash on her face and neck, quite a deep patch of fur torn from her chest.
