| Heaven walked from the pack's borders, not looking back as she decided to leave for good. Life swirled around her and all she could think about was death and how she didn't want to live anymore. Erenyx had torn her apart and she was finished. She was heading to the place she had met a rogue, a beautiful place that called out with death if accidentally falling off the cliff. Her paws carried her slowly, nothing stopped her and she let her head hang low to the ground. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, lifting her head and putting a smile upon her face. She let her tail sway side to side and slowly started to feel better as she got away from the place that made her want to die. Sure, she was still depressed, but she was going to her favorite place. She started running as she let her mind go blank. Nothing swirled in her mind, but the wind and leaves rustled her whole body. Her paws flew across the ground gracefully, her legs pumping faster and faster with all the muscles she had earned from training with the Elite. If she could have left a message for Fel, then she would have. The message would have said 'I'm not returning, in fact... I'm saving you the trouble of disposing of me.' But alas, she could never make the Elite proud, and nor could she seem to be all that Erenyx asked of her. She took another gulp of air, her lungs pressured from running but she didn't stop.
Her ears pressed against her skull and she flew across the earth with broken wings. Her wings were her paws and body, her soul was the main part to it all. Her heart pounded in her chest, ringing into her ears and rushing down her legs. She didn't stop running until she made it to the top of Angel's Wake. She slid to a stop and looked down upon the earth. She stopped completely, and it seemed time stopped with her. She peered over the edge and stared at the beauty that the lands held. It was supposed to be making her happy, but it simply saddened her even more. She turned around and stared at the dying flowers all around her. "Can it get any worse?" She whispered out, deep brown eyes staring at the spot she had met her first real friend. She shook her head and turned around just in time to hear thunder roll. She looked back and saw a few storm clouds in the distance. "Great." She turned away from the distant clouds and stared down at the ground below. She took a deep breath, her mind suddenly filled with memories of her best friend, Hush. She shut her eyes and let the memories engulf her. She could see them, running together as they escaped the vicious pack that tore them apart.
Hush was ahead, racing with all his might while Heaven lacked in speed. She had always been smaller then him, but she didn't mind one bit. She tried to keep pace but instead she slacked back and watched him run. They didn't howl as this was one of the closer territories to the pack, where one howl would get them in trouble. Her heart raced and she tumbled to the ground as she was very clumsy. Hush stopped at the river, not bothering to help her since she was only a few feet away. "Are you alright?" He asked and she grinned, standing up and placing herself beside him as they looked across the lands and rivers. "I'm fine!" She chirped back in a happy tone. She looked up to him and smiled. "My poor Heaven, one day... we shall escape this world." She nodded, not quite sure what he meant by his words. "Yeah, we could start our own pack! Be the Alpha and Alphess! What ya think Hush?" She thought that was what he meant and so she asked. "No Heaven, where we will go, it'll be just me an' you. We'll rule the whole world and be happy together." She still didn't understand those words, but she figured that she would. "That sounds nice" She whispered gently and leaned into his shoulder. "Yeah, it will be nice."
She opened her eyes as a strong wind whipped at her pelt. She tilted her head only to see the storm clouds had started to disappear. She finally understood what Hush had meant. Her heart raced as she stepped towards the edge, her courage to jump suddenly failing her. She looked down, her stomach feeling queasy as she did so. Her heart was pounding in her chest and she was suddenly feeling quite jumpy. She moved away from the edge in order to collect her thoughts. She stood there weakly, her words were failing her and her mind couldn't wrap around the idea that Hush wasn't with her. She took a deep breath and moved towards the ledge once more, not looking down this time. Her ears flicked forward but her paws refused to carry her to the place she wanted to be most. Her body felt weak, she was just a healer but she couldn't stand as strong as she had with Fel and training. She couldn't bare to throw herself off the beautiful mountain, but she also couldn't move. She was just standing there, soaking in the memories. That was all she could do, everything else was a mess and more then ever, she wanted to be with Hush.
{OOC- What ya think? This okay? o3o Fel's gunna come in when she's dying and hear Heaven's last words cause I'm just really big on death threads o3o it's gunna be amazing!!! <3 I'm gunna end up crying...} |

| The sweltering summer sun had passed, leaving behind the dastardly clouds which covered up the last remaining heat. It was becoming harder and harder to find warmth. As a cold blooded animal, this was not good for the Adder, not good at all. Shelter would need to be found and arrangements to hide even before the first coming of snow. The female had found herself slithering along the bottom of the valley. It was too cold in this region and she knew she would have to find higher ground, ground which had been blessed by the heat of the sun. With the flick of its black tongue, the female serpent propelled herself up the mountain, seeking the higher ground. With each turn of her body, she could feel the dust and dirt sliding beneath her, almost like a gliding feeling. Her eyes targeted nothing, just peering forward as she made her way higher and higher. At the top of a cliff, the sun was shining brightly, close to the edge it had seemed. But then came the clouds. They masked the heat of the sun like a blanket, blocking and shielding the rays from her cold scales. Bitter by the quick change in temperature, she began to hunt. This season would be the last she would be able to find food before the change of winter. Dark eyes scanned the area, while her black tongue licked the air, seeking a possible prey worth for her time. Being as her body was not very large in width, she would have to find something like the size of a gopher or a large brown squirrel. Even a rabbit would suffice, a young and smaller rabbit. The thought of eating a rabbit forced her mouth to grow wet and she could feel the venom flowing through her body. She was ready for the kill even before the hunt actually started. With a single flick of her tongue, she was able to detect the scent of a beast, not too far from where she was. It was indeed, a rabbit. Though she could not decipher the color of the creature, she was still plenty pleased that within a matter of minutes it would be within her gut, digesting and becoming mush. The Adder was quick on the hunt, moving between the blades of grass and weeds, sheltered by the dark colors of fall. His tongue flicked frivolously. Closer and closer she came. When long last she was close enough to strike, the rabbit sat straight up. Its nose twitched from side to side, smelling everything in sight. Its ears were alert atop its tiny head and like the sun, it vanished. Angered by the disturbed prey, she looked to see what had surprised it. She had been the perfect hunter, never missing her kill, never making a sound. She knew it was something else, and soon she discovered where the stress had come from. A large predator was in the area. The smell was disgusting and vile, even for her it was gross. It moved past her with a fury and then it stopped. What was the predator doing not going after the prey? Was it such a both to chase something so succulent? Curling her body into an "S" shape, she was ready to strike. It was for her own defenses, but the wolf did not move. It stared out to nothing. The Adder did not understand this practice, only knowing that food had been lost to such a foe. She knew she could not attempt to eat this wolf, but she could kill it. She could stop it from ever interrupting her hunt ever again. Curling back, she was getting ready to strike. Lunging forward, all thirty inches of her flung into the air. Her mouth open wide, fangs extended and ready to make contact. Latching into the rear right leg of the beast, she made her mark, filling the body with her venom. It would not be long now until the beast would be paralyzed, perhaps after a few more bites, dead. She retracted her fangs and buried herself among the weeds and long grown grass. She would wait to see the reaction of the beast, curious to know if it would be able to find her and what it would do in return. |

| Heaven let the gentle wind touch her furs and ruffle her like Hush once had. Her deep brown eyes stayed on what was in front of her, she could return to Erenyx or be with her love and friend. She smiled weakly as these thoughts swirled in her mind. She took a deep breath and something pierced her hind leg. She let out a gasp and twisted to tear it away from her but it already disappeared into the tall grass. Heaven didn't feel like picking a fight with a snake, but the thing had bitten her. She shook her hind leg and tried to get rid of the numbing feeling she had. She leaned and snarled, knowing loud noises scared snakes, or that's what she had been taught. Her heart raced and she leaned forward once more, dragging her hind paw against the ground since she felt pain rushing through it. She pushed the grass apart and searched for the snake that had just taken a bite of her hind leg. She nudged the grass but she didn't see anything, figuring the snake had left she turned slightly away and limped towards a few herbs resting upon the mountaintop. She leaned down and shook her head as she realized they weren't the right herbs needed for venom. She took a sharp breath as the pain in her leg became quite unbearable. She twisted and moved towards the grass again, she was going to find the snake and kill it for harming her. She stopped in her tracks as she realized that if she really wanted to live, she would make her way to the Erenyx healing den before the Venom would paralyze her. She didn't move in the direction of her home instead she went to the tall grass and thrust her paw into the hidden areas of grass and flowers that withered away. She felt the urge to be bitten again, the pain was unbearable but it was also exciting and gave her a rush she had never felt before. She felt her hind leg give out on her from the venom. Her heart pounded faster as she somewhat slumped to the ground, her front paw going deeper into the tall grass as she searched for the snake that had bitten her. Come on you lil piece of crap! I know you're in there... She wanted to huff the words out but instead thought them as she tried to lure the snake out with her front paw. |

| Coiling up within herself, she was hidden within the cover of the tall grass. Her tongue flicked in and out, taking in the scent of the wolf. It was searching for her, but she would not allow herself to be found. She slithered carefully, dodging the digging paws and sniffing snout. She silently moved over the ground, heading for the rear of the wolf. In about a minute she was set for the perfect place to strike once again. Biting deeper and forcing more venom would surely do the trick of ending the predator's life. Opening her jaws wide, her fangs exposed themselves to the outside world. Lunging quickly, she latched her teeth to the flesh of the wolf once again. The venom coursed through her body and pushed itself into the wolf's bloodstream. As much as she could get out, she did. When she was finished, she retracted her fangs and slid from the beast, slipping off into the darkness. With one bite, she would be numb. But with two bites, the second being far better, she would die. For now, she would retire to her dwelling, careful not to take an damage from the deranged wolf. NPC Adder exits. |

| She kept poking the grass, growling and trying to be intimidating like she had seen Fel do so or, in her mind she was intimidating. Her deep brown eyes shut tightly as she realized the snake wasn't there. She opened them and a cry escaped her maw as the adder bit her once more. Her tail slid to the side of her body and she looked back just in time to see it escape her. Her small body twisted and she snapped her jaws at it. Her body felt numb and she started dragging herself towards the path to Erenyx. Her hind legs gave out on her first, making her slam against the earth. She rolled onto her stomach and wiggled forward to the best of her ability. Her front paws pulled her forward and she gasped for breath as the venom went through her her back. She pulled herself more and then her head dropped against a log. She stretched a paw over the log and she whined. She closed her maw and thought about the training she had taken. She could barely move... but that hadn't stopped her in training. She heaved her body away from the log and started wiggling the way she had come there. She pushed herself, trying to do what Fel had taught her. Fight... Fight it. Her mind was awake and she was trying so hard to squirm forward. She pushed and wiggled, trying her best to stay with her senses. But it finally happened, she couldn't feel her legs, she couldn't move them. She let her head fall against the ground, her breathing was slow and heavy. Her sides rose and fell with every breath, less and less. "F-f-failed... I-I have failed my mentor..." She breathed out the words to herself. She closed her eyes and opened them again, trying to keep her mind awake and alive. She couldn't, she could feel the life slipping from her body. She took another ragged breath and let out a sigh. Who would have thought, that she would die from something so small... and yet... venomous. She couldn't move her head, she couldn't do anything but blink and feel nothing. She saw grass and the path that would have led her home. Can I even call that place my home? I didn't fit in. She closed her eyes and tried to flick her ears but she couldn't. She let her eyes stay closed, just waiting for darkness to consume her. At least, I can see Hush now... but, what about Fel? She thought I was a failure anyways... and Cliche... I hardly knew her... Her thoughts swirled in her mind. |

| The Elite had noticed her apprentice’s trail leading away from the territories of Erenyx earlier that day and turned immediately to follow it to make sure that pile of fluff wasn’t going to get her idiotic self into trouble. Her paws pummeled the ground in a smooth rhythm as the grass rolled away beneath her paws. Fel held her tail high, letting the fur on it fly behind like a banner. Though she was running, it was an eased run whilst her senses focused on her surroundings to try to find Heaven. Minute after minute, the scent trail grew stronger but yielded no true results. Only upon arriving at Angel’s Wake did Fel see her apprentice, looking for something in the grass and what seemed to be a stick far, far away on the ground. But the stick moved… It coiled and struck and slithered away just as Fel was about to bark a warning. It would’ve been in vain anyway. The Elite was too far to have seen the movement ahead of time, and Heaven never would’ve gotten a chance to dodge the reptilian attacker anyway.
A deep, disappointed sigh was all that ended up leaving Fel’s gaping jaws. The small canine form fell to the ground, and the larger one walked towards it. Arriving beside Heaven, Fel sat down as soft words were being spoken, eyes as clear and calm as frozen lakes. “Silence, Healer Heaven. It is I who have failed you, and ask your forgiveness. As your mentor, I should have ensured your preparedness for such situations. You should have known, or I should have taught you, how to fight off a snake.” Her gaze travelled to the bite marks, noticing the discoloration of the skin around it. The fae, much like Athena, would never make it to the healer’s den and was beyond the aid of herbs. “I am afraid that taking you back to your rank’s den will be of no use. I can assist you though, Heaven. I shall either stay here with you throughout, or if you would like, I may end your suffering.” The great demon lowered her frame to the ground, her side firmly pressed and slightly curved around the dying wolf. Her deep, rumbling voice sounded slightly soothing as she continued, “In either case, I saw the ferocity with which you searched for the adder; it did not go unnoticed. So no, you have not failed. It is just time for your training to end, and for your story to be continued elsewhere. Be not afraid. There are those waiting for you on the other side.” Fel would stay with her, watching her and keeping her warm in the final moments. It was not like her, but it was the least she could do. In her eyes, Fel had failed her apprentice in preparation for danger, but she could still coach her through passing on. True, the Elite had never experienced it herself, but she had been with so many as they died that she knew enough of what it was like. Her chin would slowly drift down to rest on Heaven’s shoulders whilst the other’s chin was on the log. In a moment, Fel’s raven ear flickered slightly. Not far away, a bird was singing in what seemed to be a mournful tune. Those damn birds always seemed to know… |

| Heaven's mind whirred as she heard the voice of something... familiar. To her surprise, the one she knew as her mentor was by her side. Heaven couldn't feel anything, she could move her head and the venom was wrapping around her heart. She could barely breathe but she was happy to have someone with her now. She blinked slowly, trying to find her voice to speak her last words to the Elite. She could hear the grass shifting and by the weight placed upon her body, she knew the ebony she-wolf had placed her head against her shoulder. Heaven couldn't bare for the Elite to see her die, nor could she burden the ebony fae to kill her and end her suffering. But, she wasn't suffering. She had come to the mountains for death anyways, she just happened to get what she wished for in an unexpected way. She closed her deep brown eyes tightly and smiled weakly as she tried to speak to the greater she-wolf. "I-it's not your fault Fel, I was the one to irritate it and continue to try and find it." Her voice was weak and sounded very faint to when she had first met the Elite at the border. Her heart was slowing down and she could barely get the words out of her. "Fel, I... I want you to know... I was very... proud... to be your apprentice... and that... I love you... because, you taught me to be strong... even when the world thought... I was... weak." Her voice gave up on her and she closed her eyes as she could feel her heart finally slow down enough that she would no longer be with the wolf she greatly admired. "I'm not scared anymore." She breathed out the words, her breath escaping her for the last time. She could listen and then she would be gone. Her world slipped into darkness, and everything escaped her finally. She was no longer in pain, she could no longer see or hear, she just lay there, a limp body with a great she-wolf that was there to see her off. R.I.P. Healer Heaven of Erenyx. |
