The walk there was unreasonably quiet, but he made no effort to change that. He was more or less at eased with the idea that this pack as begin run by a former Rogue - there was a first for everything, he supposed, never seeing the significance within it. Perhaps this male knew a thing or two about running a steady group of wolves, but that which he could simply wonder. He limped steadily alongside the leader, keeping watch as well as his head low to the ground to keep a low profile when moving into the camp. There hadn't seemed to be many wolves on the prowl that morning around base, Erenyx was a lot like this, at least for the most part. This much he liked so far, but judging from how things were placed, it was no where near as perfect as home was to him in the east. He got a fine glimpse of the clearing before the pair made a forward march to the healing den, the smell of mint and fine herbs filling his nose to which reminded him so much of his mother. His mother. What would have become of her now that her children were all gone? But that much was still untrue, for all he knew, Renier might just be alive - Icarus was for sure dead, though. This was pure fact.

Despite the thought of there being his mother in that den, he knew it wasn't possible, she was long far away from here, and would not be there to greet him with one of her annoying sweet smiles before aiding to his side. He'd come to her with even the most minor scratches and bruises, not that he wished to, but that he'd be told to. She wouldn't stop pestering him until he'd break to her command and allow her to treat him with both love and herbs. It had been the most he could ever say thus far that he actually missed her presence, even if it had been last seen yesterday before the battle, before the fall. As the two finally departed, the apprentice wished the Alpha a farewell with the slightest nod of his head before turning his attention to the healing den's entrance. Closing his eyes, he released a long sigh to release the tension in his joints and limped forwards before dipping his head in low to see only darkness from within the station. The ground was still new from being built up, certainly this pack hadn't been here very long, just as the rumors had said about it. Striker barked once and flicked his ears back and forth before speaking in a low, rasped tone, "Anyone there? I politely request medical care.. I'm severely injured and have been escorted here beneath the Alpha himself for treatment." The brute would mutter, lifting one of his paws to press weight on the less injured side of his body. He groaned in discomfort to the tightness in his muscles and the pain in his abdomen as well as his head, "Perhaps I'll return another time." Said the pup as he slowly turned around and began limping to higher ground from the mouth.

Orion stood at the very far edge of the camp clearing away from the Healer's den. He enjoyed being with the herbs, but he felt lazy that day. His nose nudged the ground, searching for cobwebs. He sniffed and then slowly picked up his stick that he was using to gather webs. When his nose tingled, that was when it was time to carefully sweep the stick to gather any webs. He knew his stick held some cobwebs as the weight was slightly greater then when he had started. His grey eyes stayed still, as if staring into nothing but the void. Finally he had enough of messing with webs and turned around, gathering a few herbs in his maw and managing to carry his stick as well. His tail swayed happily as he went forth towards the healers den. He heard a voice speak, but was not close enough to hear the words exactly. He bustled quickly, catching the last words from a young sounding brute. He dropped his herbs and stick quickly. "Halt! You needn't leave, as I have arrived! What is it you needed dear young one?" He scooped up his herbs and stick, bustling into the den and placing them upon the ground in a neat pile. "Come in quickly, and do tell?" He bustled about, gathering herbs and stacking them in piles, his nose twitching at the some of the smells. His body shifted to face the young brute when he would enter, if he didn't enter then Orion would give a large sigh and shake his head. He was rather confused about the situation since he hadn't really settled in. He hadn't met the Alpha and only knew the Elite. He twitched his muscles and slowly tilted his head, as if waiting patiently for a quick response. He tapped his paw against the ground, sending vibrations across the earth to tell where exactly the male was standing. He pulled his tail around his body and got ready to grab herbs, for why would anyone see a healer without needing to be healed?

Striker couldn't have made it a step further before the glimpse of shadows began to dance among the trees, for it was nearing closer to him and beckoning he stop before making another judged movement. He did as he was told, casually putting his single, once lifted, paw down against the ground and turning his attention to the figure whom summoned his eyes. The pup peered to the thud made on the ground, seeing as the wolf had been carrying fresh cobwebs ringed around a twig for support in transferring it from place to place. He could remember all the ways which his mother would find in order to occupy herbs from meadows and such to the healing den - secretly, he found himself quite amused by her efforts and made-up, yet sturdy tactics. Turning his ears back, he observed the wolf, the individual whom was drenched in the scent of herby smells and a rather interestingly mixed sable coat. He fixated a small gaze on the foreign healer, not sure quite yet to trust him, but his side swelled with misery. What made him hesitant to speak was why it had become a question, could the stranger not see the obvious damage to his form? Just from his view looking down, the apprentice could plainly see the damage done, but he answered thoroughly as the healer busied into the den with his belongings, "I'm afraid I am a survivor of a great fall. My side is severely damaged, and my head feels equally miserable from the impact. I've been wounded with these minor scratches on my face, nothing too terrible other than my right side." Striker said, his voice carrying a solemn echo as he followed suit in entering the little den that smelled of fresh lavender and mint. This seemed to of made him at home inside, releasing a small sigh of relief before opening his eyes to the mender that seemed to of been looking at him now.

There a smile clearly in his tone, "-But I fortunately give the good word that my contender is no longer living. Still; the battle shall not be forgotten." He replied, nearing the back of the den to where it had not been accompanied with as many herbs and mixtures, and seemed to of been cleared away for others to lay anyway. He made himself at ease before resting on his finer side, leaning his head against his paws to which outstretched in front of him for support beneath his chin. Drawing his mind to the sudden tapping noise against dirt, Striker narrowed his brows closely together in confusion, peering to whom had made them and wondering carefully as to why. His eyes slightly grew in size as he peered to the male's expression, having noticed it seemed a tad lost before it phased to complete control. This wolf was blind, he concluded, never having been quite exposed to the disability in the first place, but clearly having some indication that he couldn't see due from his actions. Striker felt slightly uneasy at this new discovery, tensing gently in his place before realizing that the wolf wouldn't know, but perhaps sense it. After all, his mother had told him when a wolf looses a sense, it grows stronger in another. "You may call me Striker, I'm only one year old and have been a former apprentice of Erenyx, as you can probably smell." The apprentice said quietly, watching the brute work only steps away.

Orion lifted his head as the young brute moved and spoke, the scent coming from the he-wolf was not of the Agavos smell. He flicked his tail and tilted his head to the side, listening. He nudged a few herbs and then picked up some some leaves, chewing them slowly in his mouth before moving to the he-wolf and gently placing it down in front of the male. "Take this, it will ease any inner pain within and keep you from infection, swelling." He didn't know the herbs by name, just by smell and taste. His tail flicked and gently eased his nose to touch the the male's side, searching for where the pain was most. He would know by the brute tensing, or telling him. He also needed to know if the pain was internal or on the outside of the body. He would then twist back to his herbs and pull back a few different herbs, applying some to the male's scratches across the face. He had his stick, decently sized that held cobwebs on it. It wasn't small, but it wasn't large enough to escape his broad shoulders in length. He would set it down beside, just in case he needed to stop blood from escaping the brute's body. "I have not heard of this pack... 'Erenyx', I have just recently entered these lands and made myself home, haven't even left the pack's grounds." He spoke, trying to be friendly and keep conversation to know that the brute hadn't passed out. He was curious if the brute, known as 'Striker', would tell him everywhere it hurt. He knew it was hard to trust someone that you had just met, Orion was a perfect example of that. Not being trusted his instincts, the way he guided himself by smell and touch. The fact he could only treat wounds that were told to him or if he had touched them and found the wound. He didn't want to waste any time, for the more time spent, the longer it would hurt. He didn't like hearing about others being in pain, he wanted them to be able to be healthy and roam about as they once did. He was surrounded by darkness, but he enjoyed the sounds, the touch, and the experience it gave him in his line of work. He learned to fight by the vibrations of the earth, the sounds, and the smell. He learned to hunt by the echoing of animals paws, the way they moved gave him enough time to counter attack. He learned herbs by scent, touch and taste. He had the lucky chance of never going near any dangerous berries, or plants. Perhaps it was because he couldn't see them, nor did he really know the feel of them. Surely he had used them before? But he could not recall and so he assumed he did not touch any berries, unless stepped upon. He did not smile to the brute, but instead gave a reassuring nod to the male.

He paused quietly to see the mush set before him, along with some dryer herbs he must've forgotten the name of, but slightly knew what the mender said of both taste and scent. This was perhaps burdock, he thought, collectively reminding himself that his mother had shown him such practices with a subtle healing agent. He wasn't all too thrilled with swallowing another wolf's spit and whatever else that had been in their mouths, but he held his breath and shook his head before slipping it onto his tongue. With time to spare in taking measly little gulps, he swallowed it whole, hacking once to express his true disgust as he made faces to what he knew the healer could not see. Patting at the dryer set of ingredients, Striker downed them as well, slowly to ease them down his throat, for it was hard to without water nearest to him to get down. Usually in times like this, his mother would make him drink whilst swallowing dried herbs, but he would make due with what he had, which was nothing, sadly. Shuddering once he knew it had made way through his insides, the adolescent lay his head back down and peered out the entrance of the den to a tree like it had been the most interesting thing ever to him. Truly it was not, but his thoughts let him to think about his best friend in the neutrals - how she perhaps was alone on the days he so promised he would return, and the pain he'd mentally bare to sadden her when he would not be there at her greeting. At least not for a while, he thought sourly to himself before the healer broke him from his reverie with a simple patching of poultices to his maw.

At the very best, he would remain still, that is until brute had spoken, it had seemed he was not the only one new to these lands - he should've known. It hadn't even occurred to him till now did his scent seem a tad weaker than the leader's, but that much he assumed was quite normal along the lines of a newer pack, the apprentice would wonder. Though the mender could not see the teen wolf, the ashen male would pry a soft smile at the corner of his lips as he'd look out the den, "To if you ever get the chance.. I recommend Mirror Lake.." It was perhaps one of the nicest ton of voices he had ever used among a stranger, he had realized he had gone soft since entering these lands. He was far from his element, he needed Erenyx, this wasn't the type of wolf he wanted to be; he needed to be rough, and strong, and hard-headed. Equally arrogant and intimidating, much like his former pack members.

He wanted to be like Samael.

Fixating his blue eyes upon the blind wolf, his brows knitted in slight recognition, "I didn't quite catch your name, Healer."

Orion breathed slowly as he let his head drop slightly, ears flicking forward to listen to the young he-wolf. "Whats Mirror lake like? Describe it to me, please?" He begged curiously, his head tilting and his body relaxing as he fully turned his attention towards the young brute. His fur ruffled as he breathed quietly, pulling his stick closer with his paw. He loved carrying a stick, he loved helping others. His paws shifted and he wrapped his tail around his body. He didn't look at the young he-wolf, but he held himself as if he was. He couldn't see, but he could listen with his whole heart. "Oh? Oh yes! Quite sorry bout' that, youngun'. I'm known as Orion, but you may call me whatever you please." His voice rang out, deep and mellow. His ears shifted again, roving back and forth, checking the entrance to the den to see if any others would join them. His entire coat was covered in a lighter version of his winter coat, shorter due to the fact that summer was coming. He enjoyed Summer the most, the warmth against his skin and pelt. He never truly knew what colors he was, nor what colors were. But he decided he was something pleasing to look at. He knew his pelt felt heavier during the winter, but he did not mind one bit. "So, Striker, you are an Apprentice, yes? Whom are you planning on mentoring under?" He suspected that the younger brute would want to be a Warrior, or perhaps a Hunter. He did not know if he was bothering the male, but he felt like talking until the young he-wolf felt ready to sleep and that would be when Orion would go back to gathering herbs nearby the den. But until then, he was ready to listen and help when he was called for. His grey eyes flickered with emotion, a smile across his maw as he readily listened for the young wolf to speak. He was eager, ready to learn about Agavos and the other packs. He was curious what exactly Erenyx was like to destroy pups in a fight, was there another pack like Erenyx or more like Agavos? He decided to ask. "Are there any other packs, I know now that there is Agavos and Erenyx, but are there any other I should be worried about?" His voice rumbled deeply, a curious look upon his face.

It had occurred to his understanding that he hadn't of been paying as close of attention to the male's weakness as much as he had wanted. When the wolf had wondered upon the recommendation of land, he was slightly confused, hoping that the name would be enough to describe it, until the apprentice realize that the male was also blind. How would the other know what a lake looked like? Or perhaps, the colors of the land as well. He however did not know if the male was born blind, or earned it, he chose not to ask out of respect, and nodded to himself in agreement that he'd explain. But he'd do it with a small smile as he thought back to when he had met Aleu, though at that time, it was fall he believed, and autumn's colors lined the surrounding trees. He could only imagine what it looked like now in the spring's adoring set of blossoming shades. "The land itself is mostly a body of shallow water, but for actual ground, its mostly tall grasses and a border of trees leading into neutral forestry. Game is practical, nothing too crazy nor lacking, I've been fortunate with the time I once went there to be able to catch a few hares - that was in the fall. I've not visited it much since by myself. It was quiet, the water seemed untouched, and I like to think its a nice territory for some mental shelter, if you ask me.. Herbs are plentiful too, which is a nice benefit." When the apprentice was through with explaining, he rested his head against the cool dirt, groaning quietly amongst himself as his eyes shut whilst listening to the other's breathing. He'd remain calm like this as they'd speak, and though the other could not see, he'd be on his best behavior to remain awake until given indication he may rest here, or if not be dismissed to a den he'd later be forced to make. As the wolf finally revealed his name, Striker bat his tail to show that he received and understood. He didn't know how else to respond to the male upon his lack of sight, so he depended on noises to help him know.

When the question rolled off the other's tongue, he couldn't help but look out the healing den's entrance in deep thought of his former mentor, Samael. He wondered to where he was, and if he was still alive, a gut wrenching feeling making him feel sick from within at the thought of death upon him, as well as his own head if he were to return. Even then, he knew he was at the loss of a mentor, and slowly contemplated on someone of this pack to fill that gap. Looking to Orion quietly, he thought of his mother. She was a well trained and wise healer, but knew how to defend herself and hunt pretty well in his opinion. Never was there a night where his belly was left empty, even then, his father sometimes insisted the boys bring their own meal. But their mother always gathered something at the end of the night, she always liked to think a little extra food couldn't hurt. Striker couldn't help but wonder if taking after a healer could do some good for him in the long run. He had no intentions of being a wolf of herbs, but it was a wise ability to have beneath his fur if times did get rough. For him, or even a valuable addition to the pack in future time, "Unfortunately.. I had a mentor was back in Erenyx. I am an apprentice, yes, with no longer a mentor seeing as I should no longer associate with my natal pack or my former teacher. But.. if it be no trouble, I was the son of both an Elite and Lead Healer. I never thought to take after my mother, and would find hope in being a strong fighter.." The wolf looked to the other in case if he were listening, content with his stay here so far in Agavos, and perhaps ready to make another step in being a stronger, more potential wolf of worthiness. "-however, if it be any trouble, I'd like to learn how to heal. My mother taught me a great deal of basics.. but that is all. Would you care to teach me your ways?"

He imagined that his want of apprenticeship beneath this healer could take a bit of time out of the wolf's schedule, perhaps pointless since he had no intentions of being a healer someday, unless of course it was strongly needed. Striker wanted to learn multiple things, so that his work ethic could expand, and his knowledge could become two times as strong as it is now in two different fields. He'd understand if the male wished not to teach him out of the pure fact it was possibly wasting his time on someone who wished to be a fighter. Perhaps he'd learn by himself someday, or as an older wolf that has already claimed as a warrior of the pack. As he waited, he was brought to the attention of what is another question, but this one involved the packs within this area. His posture, whilst laying down, slowly stiffened, which relaxed instantly after he felt the pain in his sides tighten. "There is one other.. but I wouldn't find them a threat in any case. They're the said enemy of Erenyx, a pack by the name of Helidos. I do not know their environment, only that they rely more on their families and trust rather than my natal pack's ways of fear, brute strength and respect." He shrugged his shoulders, keeping his words short and sweet due to the fact he hated to gossip. Striker knew full well that Helidos and Erenyx were not to get along from the start, he grew up like this, knowing the wolves of the west were of kind nature, whereas he had been born into none other than the brutal world of Erenyx. Though he liked his home, it was all he knew better than. And that would be where he'd stay, if it weren't for the damned battle.

Battle Scars [Healer Orion] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Battle Scars [Healer Orion] Battle Scars [Healer Orion] Icon_minitimeJuly 26th 2015, 19:52

Pale ears roved forward with great curiosity. He chuckled as the male brute managed to describe the place without using colors or such. His shoulders shook slightly and he smiled warmly. His tail tapped the ground and he nodded, he was more then willing to train the young he-wolf. "Well, It sounds like a wonderful place. I will be sure to do my best to find my way into those lands." He spoke gently, words flowing from his maw with such ease. His heart thumped gently as the brute asked for him to be the mentor. "O-oh!" He sounded surprised, overjoyed, but surprised. His tail wagged eagerly like he was a young pup, a smile beaming across his maw as he nodded his head quickly. "Well! Yes Striker! I would love to be your mentor. We shall start once you feel better! I think we should start with something easy, some herbs to find and then questions to see what you know? Yes, I think so." He pondered out-loud, but then secretly pondered in silence. He not only wanted to teach him the use of herbs, but also wanted to teach the young apprentice how to use nothing but scent and hearing. To teach him to spar, hunt, to be his very best at all times. His ears flickered as he pondered in thought, almost forgetting to pay attention to the younger he-wolf. He shifted, reaching a paw out and pulling his stick closer to him. He had a few ideas for training the younger male, pleased with the choices he would make.

His smile faded as he trained his attention on the young male, his swirling thoughts finally settled down. His tail flicked, his heart beat against his chest at a normal pace. Finally he learned a bit of information about the third pack. He nodded slowly and beamed, glad that they did not seem too dangerous from the younger brute's point of view. "Well, perhaps the two packs will settle their differences soon. Either way, as long as they do not harm you again, then I have no issue with either pack. But if they hurt you, you let me know and as your new mentor, I will tear them to shreds." He paused in his words, giving a firm nod of the head as he continued to speak. "After-all, that is what mentors are for." He smiled deviously. A look across his face saying that he meant what he said. His smile faded and he smirked. He wasn't all good, but he was very interested in many things. "Do you know the names of the herbs? What all did your mother teach you?" He needed to know everything about the young he-wolf's previous herb training. His tail flicked slightly, grey eyes zoned in on nothing. But his head was tilted to the brute's direction, ears roved forward as he listened.

Pleased with his choice of teacher, Striker granted the other a simple nod after now given the right reaction he hoped to earn from Orion. He had accepted him, that was all he could ever wish for the moment, the first day in and he already had a mentor set up for him. Now if only he could find a warrior or higher other nearest to teach him more upon sparring and hunting, to pick up on where Samael left off on the adolescent male. Satisfaction was not yet complete, he'd need to find someone else suitable for that position soon enough, but he allowed this time to lie only on the healer's knowledge. "My mother had taught me a great ordeal of only disinfecting herbs and the wrapping of cobweb to keep open wounds from bleeding profusely, but that is mostly all that which I can remember. She has used thyme on my brothers and I when we could not sleep, so I assume it is for that reason as well as for emergencies. That is all unfortunately.." Said the wolf. He kept a level gaze though lost in thought, contemplating on where exactly they'd start. But if the mentor would suggest things and ask questions, he didn't seem to find any harm in dong a bit of his own part take on the idea, "I would like to learn more upon the idea as to how to remain calm under pressured situations.. I feel as though learning to do so will help compose myself for the future for when, if possible, I keep a still mind and can think clearly upon strategy versus doing before I think. I feel as though only a Healer can teach me that before being put to the test of a true warriorhood. Would that be any trouble?" Striker asked, peering to the other with a equally balanced, and interested gaze. His sapphire dark eyes shined deep into the others as he looked for answers.

The apprentice almost allowed himself to burst into laughter, but he smirked instead, keeping his composure for it hurt more to laugh than breathe. He enjoyed the company, this has been the most socializing he had done since the fall, and even then, he did seem to find some liking into their leader. But he had a feeling the two packs would not find a resolution other than to ignore one another, he could only imagine how long that'll last before an even deadlier battle breaks out among them. It would be the first for Erenyx and Helidos to even come into impact with one another, if only he'd be there to see it if Samael didn't act soon enough, that is, if he'd not dead yet. He surpassed a cold sigh in that direction and turned his gaze to the mouth of the den once more, "I have no knowledge of what's gone on since my disappearance, nor of Helidos', I can only imagine what's being concocted in my former Alpha's twisted mind.. But it is far from anything pleasant, I'm sure." Striker had meant that in complete honesty. He apparently had no issue in ordering the pup battle, so he found no surprise in what was next for Erenyx's moves. It was like a game of chess, one move could be crucial for the entire side, but a great advantage to the other in destroying who ruled them.
