| Anxiety was one of the few things he had never sought himself to discover among the chill crawling up through his bones, along with many other things such as both paranoia and plain nervousness from the finds of a treasured pack. The young mender was quite known for his sense of smell, which he used to his greatest advantage in detecting the popularity in their numbers, as well as both food and strength. There seemed to be an off set balance of both genders, which he grew a liking too as he contemplated his options, scattering them in front of him as his mind fathomed which could provide a better opportunity for his potential to shine. Upon traveling, he noticed a rather mix of smells in the area roaming the neutrals, but the scents were so unbelievably strong, his own snout could not bare them all at once so suddenly. Even then, Percy knew that this land was quite known for a couple packs worth his taste, and so the free spirit would tread and wonder to whom suited him best. At last, he came to a conclusion that this scent was the most welcoming to him, to which he offered his soul attention to since his most recent steps. He bowed a gentle offering of respect and lowered his head to praise the dividing line that stood between the foreign territories and pack land.
The wolf could not help but to bite the inside of his cheek as he stared passed the invisible line of privacy, the border acting as a force-field like barrier to warn vagabonds to not enter so suddenly without permission. He whimpered softly to himself, the want to pass itching at his sides, seeing as no one was on patrol, to what made butterflies roam within him. Perhaps they'd come up from behind him, or even as plain as day from the shadows, he thought with a giddy feeling. Out of sudden anxious joy, Percy raised his head and filled the air with his majestic song, howling beautifully as his lips formed the letter 'o' with ease as his voice rang through the trees and over the treetops, into the sky and beyond. He couldn't help but to allow his voice to strengthen half way into his praise of acceptance, he demanded another come soon, but was respectful to keep a submissive stance in case a supreme authority figure came waltzing his way. He didn't want to step on anyone's paws, he was just here to find a home, and perhaps some finer chances for his future. That's all. To pass the time until he'd be noticed, Percy would hum and sway as he sat upon the spring grass, resisting the urge to roll around in it, to feel its soft texture upon his fur like he would when alone.

| Spring had merely begun, and seemingly was already at its peek of ending that year, she was fortunate enough to be granted many things this beginning months; even so alongside a child of her own. Though the child was not rightfully nor biologically hers, Juno sought to find an equal love for her as if she truly were her blood. Family didn't have to be blood in order to earn the title, nor did blood have to be considered family, according to the fae. She had discovered this the first time she had entered her pack, being blessed with several to accompany her, and even a fatherly figure such as Azul, and a few sisters such as both Ember and Chiara. The beta had begun to think about them more often than before, and sometimes questioned about her time here as a pack wolf. Now that Chiara had chosen her path as an Erenyx wolf, Azul separating himself after the death of his beloved, and Ember's sorrow-filled death, Juno was at a loss of love, and sometimes depended on Aleu's presence for that feed. There was always her mate, but even then, he had barely been home that spring, there being young to scatter the lands. It had been a busy week trying to wrangle the little wolves, but nothing foreign to the two betas, it was both a tiring and cheerful task to amend.
Whilst doing her daily rounds, casually checking each post and marking those that were weakening from not being kept up to date with stronger scents, she waltzed happily with a purple flower tucked behind her ear. She spared no time in dilly dallying around, doing as she must until her return back to camp, or perhaps elsewhere in search of extra food to store in the food pile. There wasn't much else to do it seemed, but her doubts shortly died at the back of her mind as a howl rang across the lands. Her heavenly green hues rose to the skies, as if she were to be able to see the notes playing before her like a projected image on display. The clouds rolled passed in abstract shapes, and nature was at peace with the world within these moments. Without another moment to spare, she was off at a growing speed, her rank clearly showing as she dodged things as large as boulders in her path, though her age decreasing the amount of stamina within her. It didn't take long after taking off did she begin to feel herself breath a lot harder, but she couldn't stress it enough of how boring it may be at the border. Oh but it had been so long since she had been in the other's place, let alone accepted someone, would it take a toll on her as well?
As she slowed down to a gradual halt, her presence easily exposed to the sunshine peeking through the trees and onto her glossy onyx pelt. Her head rose, as did her posture, as well as tail across her back. Clearing her throat, her eyes trained closely on the wolf before her, observing his identity alongside his herby scents. It was all to easy to tell that this male was a healer, but even if proven wrong, that the other would like to progress his worries in another talent, she'd listen well to his reason here. "Welcome stranger, you wait behind the borders of this here pack, Helidos, to which I am the Beta female of. You may refer to me as Beta Juno, and only that until proven worthy of just my name." Her voice held an intimidating sting to it, her superiority clear before the other as she stood tall. "State your name and reason, wolf." She demanded. |

| He eyed the flowers with a smile, never allowing the pain of nature to break him, for he was at peace. The breeze was heavenly, he couldn't get enough of it. If there were anything better than nature itself, he wouldn't know to guess what it may be - it was almost impossible for him to even think of it, let alone guess. As his stance remained submissive and respectful to whomever would arrive, he'd happily examine the flowers a step closer, his tail swaying carelessly behind him in his relaxed state of mind. Though his thoughts tended to wander their casual ways, several questions bombarding the walls to which contained them, more of the pack near as strong as this one here far east, alongside the fresher one he was able to pick up along the way here passed the mountainside. But he'd safe that for another day, there was still time, he had lots of it to collect, for now, he'd need to properly introduce himself to a couple others to reach any gossip. He loved a good sitting of rumors, plus, this information could give him a great warning in case such packs were of no relation to becoming allies with theirs.
Ruffling his blue-grey tinted coat, the grey wolf freed any debris from his sides and peered to the glowing set of green lights ahead of him with narrowed brows. He wasn't sure such things quite existed, mistaking them at first for fireflies until the color became more prominent, and soon framed by the face of great beauty. It was a fae, and judging from the scent, it wasn't just an every day female of the pack. Instantly, his position softened to an even more submissive stance, tail slight of a tuck as his ears tried resisting to flatten against his cranium. There had never been a time in his life did he feel the urge to submit so lowly to another, and frankly, he didn't enjoy it, but he did it anyway for the sake of his leftover dignity. When the female spoke, he finally breathed and soaked her voice in as if it were the rarest of things he had ever heard. It was if the sound was an angel's alone, yet so ruthless and overpowering, he almost smiled as he tried to dare a glance up at the Beta as she ordered him. "It is a pleasure, Beta Juno of Helidos, I owe you my respects and gratitude for your arrival." His efforts to grin were weak, soft, frail like the wings of an injured bird. The mender couldn't help but to fight back the smile for his gratefulness, "I am known as Percy, a male of mending and a wise one at that with herbs. I've practiced since I was half my height I am today, and breathe the life of healing. Nothing more." The brute spoke softly to the superior, as if shy to announce anymore upon his own matters, for he never did like the idea of talking about himself. He was a selfless male, always catering to the needs of others rather than his own, taking after that fatherly complex as would he thought any healer had or could possess the ability of some way or another.
Perhaps the Beta would need much more than that, she needed trust, "I fair well in hunting, if I must say anything else, but my ability of defensive and offensive attacking lacks highly among all. I hope to work better in those grey areas, but I grant you my determination to heal and mend the broken and promise my best when caring for them. You have my word I mean no harm to you or anyone else." Percy answered, his eyes trained completely on her whilst holding his position until freed otherwise. He tried his best to make a compelling case that there meant no danger when coming to him, only honesty flowed off his tongue. He was sure that it was clear, but in any case, he'd leave if denied. There were other choices worth taking, after all, he tried reminding himself of if things took a turn for the worst. |

| It had appeared she was correct with her first idea of the male's profession. She was also not at all surprised that he was quite skilled in just that and had said a bit hunting, as she didn't see a good use in his upper body from the time she had laid eyes on him. His legs however looked to of been made for great use in the time of running, strengthening them to the bone from all the agility pressed upon them, much like her own. Though the only difference being she was born with slender legs to begin with, making her a very tall female, destined to be taller than most. The male was normally smaller than her, another thing that didn't come to shock her really. He was built for what he proclaimed, she believed him in other words. Juno always considered his words upon training, and melted the idea of mentoring him a bit in sparing until she knew there were skillful others with greater potential of raising in the pack ranks. They deserved this opportunity more than she ever will, her chances of promotion were quite slim, just as were demotion. She liked to think she was a great right-hand to her Alphas, never hesitated to obey, did as she was told, smiled and treated others with fair respects. It was her duty, and she'd carry it until her joints grew to be no use for the rank.
"Raise your head, wolf." Juno quickly said.
Being as she had ordered the male to do so, she expected him to obey, and would follow his eyes until completely on her. They were of a pale blue, no different than the ice found over the surface of a river, so strong it could carry a pack over it. She sensed their to be a story behind these eyes, despite the glow found within them that showed happiness, but she detected a sense of loneliness in this one's hues. Much like herself, the beta had come here on dark ends, misery bestowing her heart and laughing over the broken shards found at the bottom of her chest. Those spirits were now gone, and she felt no misery to come to her anymore. "You will become stronger when joined with this pack, I trust you to keep your words. If you are to ever break this promise, you will be removed from this land by my teeth in front of your peers." Her green eyes stared at him without breaking, brows narrowed as she stood her ground, "You are to be a Healer of our ranks, your station can be found in the clearing, along with the rest of the homes made from the wolves of Helidos. There you will work. Work your hardest, respect those around you, and obey the commands of both Alphess Quinn and Alpha Fenris, as well as your superiors." Bowing her head to the male, she wished Percy an orderly goodbye before dashing off into the darkness towards camp, half expecting him to follow her in order to know the way. If he didn't, she trusted him to find his way around the pack by himself, sprinting towards the meadows in search for dinner to feast on with Aleu and her mate. The thought of a good family dinner made her run faster, and a small smile edged along her lips. You may change your name to Healer Percy and join the Helidos color by subscribing to the pack beneath "Ranks" above. |
