Happiness. Brought upon the wings of butterflies, the male's heart was sent fluttering by the presence of the she-wolf who kept his company. Faith. It had been a meeting by impulse, but it wasn't one he'd ever take back. Paws pounding on the earth's soil in a run, Locke found his way to the land known as Shipwreck Cove alongside Faith. It had been a seemingly quiet run, but it was comfortable. After their meal back in Helidos camp, the two had decided to travel to the beach for the day together. What could she want with him, though? Although they were matched in rank, the warrior felt her radiance out-shined him and his paws felt shaky just thinking of her. She was a star; glittering, she lit up the night sky for others to find their way. 'Could I fly all the way to the sky to even be close enough to her?' Shaking free of his thoughts, Locke led the way to their destination. It was mid-day now, and the sun was shining in the blue sky above; a perfect time for an adventure. Smiling, the brute looked up to the glaring yellow sun with his own yellow globes and saw a flock of seagulls soar past. They were here.

The terrain began to fade into warm sand, and as he took steps onto the soil it sunk underneath his paws. Looking back to Faith, Locke gave a toothy grin. "We're here, Faith. Isn't it beautiful?" The salty air was a gentle aroma, and as a soft wind billowed in his fur, the brute couldn't help but feel at home. Even away from Helidos territory, perhaps it wasn't what land you owned, but who you spent time in it with. Turning back towards the cove, Locke breathed in the air and watched the waves crash in the distance beyond the sand shining underneath the sun's rays. The land was so open and free, and it was then that he felt the urge to run. A tingling sensation ran up and down his legs, making him feel like he had been cooped up foreber, and Locke turned back to the she-wolf and wagged his tail. A childish grin still plastered on his face, the male barked out a friendly challege. "Last one to the shore gets to hunt dinner!" Chuckling, Locke allowed the she-wolf time to hear him before taking off across the sandy dunes.

While the land was open, the warrior could feel that the sand was a little bit harder to run in compared to the grasslands. Paws sinking down and sand kicking up, Locke lolled out his tongue in sheer happiness as he gave it his all. Tail trailing behind him, the male felt the shade pass over his coat as he ran beneath an overhanging rock structure quickly before reappearing in the sunshine. Looking behind him, the male searched for Faith in hopes she had joined in on his fun.

((OOC: Locke is so sweet. <3))

Faith found the run with Locke pleasant, flanking him all the way to Shipwreck Cove. She felt like she had a true friend, even though they had only just met. Her eyes kept flicking back to Locke as he ran, watching the muscles ripple underneath his snowy pelt. She couldn't help but smile like an idiot as she turned her attention back to what was in front of her, taking in the scenery. Without changing her focus, her paws took in the different terrain, feeling how the grass, dirt, and eventually sand felt underneath her pads.

The sand molded to her steps, sinking under her weight, filling back in slightly after she left a small dent from her paw. "Indeed, Locke. It's so pretty! Look at the water! And the trees on top of that mountain! I had been told it was beautiful, but never had I expected this!"She smiled at the gentle waves that splashed delicately on the shore, and she felt a sudden impulse to chase the water, like she could follow each undertow back out to the ocean. Adrenaline pumped through her veins, and she began to prance in place. Just her luck when Locke called the race, then took off across the sand. She grinned, before launching into a long stride, pounding her paws on the sand. It was difficult, as the sand couldn't stay in place for her to leap into another pace, and she continually almost fell. But she watched as Locke lolled out his tongue, and she couldn't help but howl in delight. She closed in on him, meeting his gaze as he looked back. The wind ripped across her pelt, trying to slow her down, but she wouldn't allow it. Each time she took off, she seemed to speed up. It was pure bliss. She smirked as a thought came into her head.

She faked a yelp, lifting her front left paw as if she had hurt it. Coming to an awkward stop, she continued to keep her paw lifted. "Locke!" she whined, trying to hide her smile, and fortunately keeping it inside. "Locke, my paw! I think it's twisted!" She purposely made her voice distressed. If he came near, she would take off, taking the lead for herself. If not, she would continue to fake it. She was curious to see how he would react.

She spread her back legs a little so she could keep her balance, because she was afraid that she would put her paw down to stay standing instead of keeping it up like she would if it was actually hurt. Curiosity burned inside her heart, wondering how Locke would take the situation. It could go many ways: 1.) He could realize she was faking and call her out on it. 2.) He might fuss over her for a few minutes until she took off running. 3.) He could even take off back to the pack and try to someone good with herbs. She had recently heard that they had gotten a healer though, so he might get him or her.

She whined again, for effect, and awaited for Locke to make his move, the anticipation of it sending her heart racing, and her blood chasing.

-Due to this being locked because of the season change, Faith left because she grew tired-

((OOC: I'm so sorry Locke, I know your LOA was badly timed with the season change, and I'm sorry I had to end it so quickly, but we can start another thread when you return and carry out the plots we've been planning. Again, my sincerest apologies.))
