The sun rose slowly over the Helidos lands. The small white fae stretched out her paws in front of her, slowly opening her deep amber eyes to stare out her den. She stayed like that for several minutes, glaring out of the hidden den towards the sun. She finally squirmed out from under the large tree root, licking her maw slowly in thought. Her paws shifted in the cold earth, hardly heated from the sun. She smiled weakly and shook her head, twisting to turn and face the camp clearing. She breathed, taking in the spring air and shaking her body to rid of sleep. She slowly stretched downwards and then started walking towards the center of the clearing. Her ears twitched at the sound of water flowing nearby. She was not quite hungry, but she did feel a thirst. Her paws carried her away from the pack clearing towards a small stream. She leaned down and lapped up water until her stomach was full and she no longer craved water, but now she was hungry and her body was slowly waking up as she moved. Her tail swayed slightly from moving, slightly because she was happy that early morning. She looked around slowly to study her surroundings. The sun was still down somewhat and so it was dark in some places. Flowers swayed with the gentle breeze that rushed by, and life slowly came to and was starting to bustle about. Creatures of all sizes rose up, darting around to gather water and food so they may live and survive. She turned and studied the birds that flew about, collecting worms and small nuts. She turned and started her hunt, ears flicking forward and body lowering closely to the ground.

She prowled through the taller grass away from the pack clearing. Her ears roved forward and her face held no emotion as she finally heard her prey. She moved quickly, listening instead of seeing. Her paws shifted silently, and then she pounced. Her small frame leaped through the air and landed upon a small white rabbit. Her jaw opened and she clasped her teeth down around it's throat, pulling sharply and snapping it's neck. She then settled down, placing her paws on either side. She tore away the flesh and chew the meat in peace. As she finished eating, she pushed the remains aside and started cleaning her paws and maw. She finally stood and made her way across the Helidos lands, her amber eyes searching for some company. She had grown tired of searching for friends, she wanted them to come to her. She had found many friends, and she had watched some of her pack mates gain love and become mates. She smiled weakly, thinking about the wolves she had met. She loved her sisters, Aleu and Faith. Yet she could only wonder about her older brother, Thunder. She shook her head and slowly breathed in and out, she wouldn't worry about the past. She blinked slowly as she realized she had walked into a clearing. It was large and held enough room for deer to graze, for a good run. She let her paws slide forward into a quick jog, moving to a corner and sitting beneath the shade of a tree as she watched the sun rise overhead.

Mornings were hard, yet relaxing for the brute. He hates the feeling of having to wake up, but the mornings were nothing short of beautiful. Stretching from his den, the male yawned and slowly made his Wh out into the lands of the pack. Trotting along through the woods, he hadn't felt the need for food or water since he woke. Although this didn't bother him, he almost tripped over a root of a large tree that hung over him like a grizzly bear to a squirrel. He trotted along the twisted pathways, catching a scent of another wolf that must have gotten up early to get a start on the day. It was most definitely a Helidos wolf, but he didn't recognize the scent specifically to a face or name. Moving along, he soon noticed that he had followed the scent into the Grazing Plains, which was an area where Sitka hadn't ever wander to before. He followed the scent as it got stronger until he came within feet of the other wolf. It was a relatively small white female. He hadn't met this particular Helidos wolf before, but oddly enough had a strange sense of déjà vu from seeing the fae. He shrugged and walked his way up to her, his stomach slightly hissing profanities at him as he began to grow hungry. He soon realized that he had seen this female before. It was the one they call Rose, now a Guardian. He remembered her from the ceremony, asking for her rank just as he did. Only a few days since he was proclaimed Delta and has already been getting to know those of higher rankings. He smacked and walked up to her, leaving a good distance between them. "Beautiful morning, isn't it?" The russet male said as he looked outward to the sunrise. Magnificently placed colors were layered and swirled together, creating th perfect picture. Sitka realized that these were moments that struck beauty in the hearts, eyes, and minds of the wolves to reigned over these vast lands of valleys and mountians. He spoke up again. "Apologies if I disrupted your morning silence, miss. I just followed your scent here and figured that I should pay a visit to whomever sat here." He chuckled and looked at the female. He stopped as he noticed that he didn't introduce himself. Mentally snaking himself, he did so. "Excuse me for not introducing myself beforehand, but I'm Sitka. You're Rose, if I'm not mistaken?" He smiled at the white she-wolf, then looked off to the horizon as the sunrise grew into the common yellow and orange of the sun.

As he awaited for the Guardian to acknowledge his existence, his mind wandered into wonderland. He thought about Cedar Grove, his life in Helidos, everyone who he's met though the past seasons. He attempted to name those whom he's met from both lands. Silvia, Flash, Clare, Marrok, Nnyla, Quinn, Fenris, Elsbeth, And now Rose. He couldn't think of anyone else whom he may have met. Although he couldn't remember who he had met, he didn't dwell on it.

Rose had been sitting alone for only a short period of time. She breathed in silence as an oddly colored wolf approached her. She hadn't seen such beautiful shades upon a wolf before. She tilted her head and chuckled, nodding quietly as the brute rambled on. Her amber eyes sparkled and she nodded slowly. "Today is indeed beautiful. You did not disturb me, deary." She spoke with a singsong voice, smiling warmly to the brute. She listened again, roving her ears forward curiously. "Pleasure to meet you Sitka, I am indeed one known as Rose. Fancy yourself to breakfast yet?" So that's the new Delta... She thought quietly to herself, beaming with joy. If the male had not eaten, she would offer to hunt down a decent hare for the brute, unless he wanted to do so himself. "It is days like this that make me yearn for my home back in the snowy hills of Pine Summit." She twisted away to look at the sun rising slowly, her eyes filled with sadness but soon she brightened up. She heard water trickling nearby, another stream. She tilted her head to the brute, realizing the male might not know of Pine Summit. "Sorry, I think about my past often and come to forget that I am no longer near there. Helidos is my home now, and I am mighty glad that it is." She would speak before the male could say anything about her mistake. She pondered about her last home, the one covered in deep snow. She had met eager brutes and shy faes. Bold she-wolves and tired he-wolves. They all were a blur in her memory, the only ones that stood out were the ones she spent loads of time with. She could remember the ones she called 'sisters', the ones that were known as her 'brothers'. She could recall her alpha, how large he had been. She could have easily stood underneath him, or at least lay under him. He had been massive and she had felt so small standing next to him. She didn't even feel like she should stand next to him, as she had been very submissive when she was in those lands. She breathed slowly, listening for a response from the rustic male. Her amber eyes sparkled with joy, as if nothing could bring her down. Her tail curled around her body and thumped the ground that she sat upon. Her eyes stayed upon the brute, not calling him to be submissive but to just chat and enjoy the day with her. She smiled once more, a small innocent smile that was nearly as bright as the burning sun. She was beaming, because she was at home.

Sitka listened as the female had stated that he had not disturbed her in her peace upon watching the sun rise over the lands. He was relieved to hear so as he approached the smaller white female. She had asked him if he was hungry, and in truth he was. "I could go for a small snack this morning." He chuckled and looked at the female with a kind smile. He didn't know what she would do with his answer, but of course, he hoped it would involve a small meal. He stopped abruptly as he heard the next words fall from her jaw. Pine Summit. He walked over to her with a look in his eye that was no short of hope. "Wait, you lived in Pine Summit? I can't believe this." He laughed awkwardly and looked at her with a gleam in his silver-lined blue gaze. "I lived in Cedar Grove. I knew of your pack while living there. Before the fire struck and destroyed the land, that is." He chuckled slightly, carrying on the conversation. "What happend to Pine Summit, might I ask? I know Maple Woods and Cedar Grove burned from the fire, but I would think that Pine Summit would be too cold to burn in such a snowy place." He questioned the little female, genuinely curious of what happened to the pack. He couldn't believe that the Guardian came from the same lands he had, along with Quinn, Fenris, Teren, and who knows who else. His tail thumped against the ground of the grassy lands as he awaited to hear what happened to the female's home. He remembered his life in Cedar Grove vividly. The massive Cedar trees that stood above the wolves like they were ants. The lush foliage that flourished through the lands, no short of magnificent. How perfectly bare the lands were in the winter, snow capped mountains were always visible in the clear air. It truly was a beautiful place to live, if only he had the chance to live there longer. A small frown kept on his face thinking of this, as there were so many wolves he had yet to meet within the lands. But it soon faded as he realized he had the same opportunities in Helidos. Looking back at the small wolf, he was fascinated to the rest of her history. Who did she meet in Pine Summit? What was her rank? Was there someone special in her mind there? Where was her family? What happened to them? Were they still alive? He had so many questions, but held back to try not to overwhelm her. He was sure that she had these same questions for him. He was eager to learn more about her now that she had sparked his interest.

She took a deep breath and shook her head slowly, amazed that the brute knew of the lands before Helidos. Her ears perked forward and she nodded, listening to his words. "First, let me bring you a meal, then we will talk." She was worried for she knew it was bad to miss meals. She stood up, her small frame darting into the woods for a brief moment. She lowered her body close to the ground and leaped over a root, right onto a rabbit. She caught it's throat in her teeth and pulled until it was dead. She grasped the small beast and came bounding back towards the rustic male. She slowed her pace and released it in front of him before taking a few steps backwards and sitting upon her haunches. She breathed in slowly, recalling his words in her mind. Cedar Grove burned with Maple Woods? What about Thunder? She thought quietly to herself, worry taking over her body as she thought about losing her brother. She would let him settle down and first she would answer any questions. "Pine Summit was not struck by fire, but around the same time that Maple Woods burned, a disease struck Pine Summit. Wolves fell ill, not to recover. I had isolated myself from the others, bringing herbs to our Healer, but it was of no use. Many died from the disease, I only escaped the disease because of my isolation. I was a mere Warrior among those ranks, but I trained hard and came to know many a wolf. I was especially close to the Alpha and the Caretaker, they were like brother and sister to me." She paused after speaking, slowly her amber eyes lifted to meet the male's. "Cedar Grove, you wouldn't have happened to have known a brute known as 'Thunder'?" She tilted her head slightly, worrying that perhaps her brother was dead. She and her siblings all turned 6 years old recently, so perhaps they were aging more and more. She wanted to hear that he knew her brother, but the chances were highly slim. Her tail flicked and she tilted her head, awaiting any more questions from the brute about her old home. She didn't doubt that there were probably many questions, both of them would ask and chat. She had only known that a few wolves from her old home had survived, she was pleased to hopefully find a friend among another who shared nearly the same past.

He listened as the female offered to feed him before discussing what tragedy stuck the land she called home, alongside where he had resided in Cedar Grove. He couldn't help but smile as the white female darted through the nearby woods to capture a morning meal for the brute. Although it was kind of her to do such a thing for him, he didn't find it necessary. But, she offered and wouldn't disrespect her decisions on what she wanted to do for him wether necessary or not. He dipped his head as she came trotting back with a hare in her jaws. "Awe. You had to go kill a wittle bunny wabbit?" He chuckled, teasing her a little for the kill she made. "Thank you, miss Rose." He smiled at her, a genuine smile, and began to slowly devour the small animal. She began talking about Pine Summit and what happened to them, why they were driven away from their homes. A disease outbreak? He was partially stunned from the news, partially fascinated to what happened. He listened as she spoke about how she survived the plague what swept through the pack like wildfire, taking small bites of the rabbit as he listened. She sounded upset in the words she spoke, and the male wanted to go forth and comfort her, but he thought it would be inappropriate to do so. SO there he sat, listening to her tale, until she asked him about an individual that he slightly recognized the name. "I suppose he means a great deal to you?" He asked, looking at her with am expression that could only be described as sympathy. "I do not know the brute you speak of well, for I never spoke a word to him. I noticed Thunder around the territories or going through the pack clearing every so often, but I had never met him. I'm unsure if he made it out from the fire or not, although I have good hopes for that one. Who is he to you, might I ask?" The Guardian seemed genuinely concerned to know wether the brute she spoke of was remotely close with Sitka, or perhaps to know if he had even lived through the fire. Either way, he gave her an answer that she may not have liked to hear. He knew that this brute most likely made it out alive. Although it was none of his business, he wondered what connections she had to this 'Thunder'. Nevertheless, he didn't ask any more questions than needed. While is curiosity was still peaked with the conversation he was engaged in with the little wolf, his mind couldn't help but wander. Thinking of the things he didn't know behind the pretty face before him. What was her birth family like? Why did she leave them? One question in particular he was very curious about. Although it was risky, he went for it. "In Pine Summit, was there any brute in particular that sparked your interest? The though came to mind, and frankly, I'm curious." he chuckled awkwardly, preparing himself for if she asked him if there was a particular fae in Cedar Grove he had been attracted to. The only one he could think of was Clare, the beautiful white she-wolf from the day at the frozen lake. Although she was long gone, he still couldn't help but think of her. He brushed the thoughts of her away and focused on the Guardian, awaiting answers to his many questions.

She listened for his words and chuckled when he teased her, she had spoken about Pine Summit and now it was his turn. She watched, amber eyes shifting back and forth to the brute and then away. "He does, indeed." She said in response to his first question about her brother, and then he continued and she leaned forward as if to catch every word. When he finished, she smiled weakly, somewhat saddened by his words that even though there was a chance, it could still be possible he died. "Thunder is my brother by blood relations." She shifted from paw to paw, her gaze dropping. She wasn't afraid to tell, but she felt like the brute might have thought that Thunder was her lover. She flicked her tail and lifted her head to study the rustic male. His pelt held hues of light brown, with some orange hints. The shade of midnight covered his back in a decent shape, making his pelt dance with colors. She was curious, was he the only one with such colors? Surely it came from a mix of his parents, or grandparents. She chuckled as the male spoke again and she had to ponder exactly who all she had met. She smiled warmly and shook her head, eyes dancing with excitement. "There was no one of interest in Pine Summit, nor in the packs within those lands. One brute, though... he took me in at around the age of 1 year, he mentored me until I turned three, and then he died. But he was not mine to love, for he loved another... my sister. I am jealous of her, her skills have always been better then mine except in herbs, but I do love her... and the past is the past, she and I are together again and I am no longer jealous. But here in Helidos, no male have caught my eye, then again... I spend my time with other faes mainly." She grinned like a child, so innocent and yet bold with her words. "Did you fancy a she-wolf in Cedar Grove, or perhaps around these lands?" She tilted her white head and grinned, ears flicking forward to listen. She shifted again, moving forward ever so slightly before sitting upon her haunches and searching the brute with a curious look. She wondered, did he share a dark past? Or maybe an easy one. "I'm curious, what was your past like Sitka? Were you glad to have found Haven, and then sad to leave due to fire? Are you alright now that you have a home here in Helidos?" She spoke gently, her words full of concern and curiousness.

The brute listened as the far explained who this Thunder was to her. Brother? He automatically thought of Ezekeial and how he was unsure if he was still alive or not. He completely understood how she felt now knowing wether a brother was alive and well or not. "Aye. I understand how you feel. For I have a brother who belongs to a pack away from here, and I have not seen him since we were two. But do not worry, my dear. I'm sure Thunder is alive and well." he smiled at her, understanding her pain of not knowing if her family was safe. He wished to see Zeke again. Really wished for it. He wondered what happened to his little brother in that pack off his that he joined, but didn't know if he would ever find out what happened to him. He didn't know his other four siblings well enough before they died as they were all very young. He did question how his mother and father allowed four of their six children to die. It confused his, but didn't dwell on it much. As he listened to her speak of her brother a bit, he couldn't help but wonder how old the female was. He didn't dare ask, as he knew that was quite rude to ask a lady of her age. But he couldn't help but wonder about her. Her past, family, if she had other siblings alive and well. There was still so much about this little she-wolf that he was eager to learn. He felt something strange for a moment. That they would become close friends due to their similar past and connections. He heard as she spoke of possibly being anyone in particular that drew her interest within Pine Summit. He had to admit to himself that he was slightly relieved that the small Guardian hadn't been in like with any brute. He chuckled as he heard her ask of anyone in Cedar Grove."There was one by the name of Clare. She came to Helidos with me after the fire, but has long since disappeared." Sadness slightly covered his face as his eyes drifted downwards toward his paws, but changed suddenly as he realized he had no reason to be upset over the skating female. She was gone, and he was ready to find someone new. Someone who would be staying with him through everything. He was ready for a commitment. But pushing all these thoughts to the side, he focused on Rose. "I have to say, I am a bit relieved you have no interest in another male at the moment, Guardian." He laughed awkwardly as he admitted his thoughts aloud. He had a goofy little smile on his face, but really hoping she didn't ask him why he was relieved of such a thing.

She continued onto asking him about his past. He hadn't shared it with many, as nobody really asked. He was slightly excited to tell her about where he came and his life before Cedar Grove and Helidos. He tried to remember as much as he could from his pup hood. "Well, I was born to loners far from here or Cedar Grove. I had five other siblings, four of which died before age one. My remaining brother and I left soon after we turned a year old due to ack of prey in our area. Out mother and father refused to leave the den where they both had lived for their entire lives. So, it was just Zeke and I. We traveled for a while together until Zeke was accepted into a pack along the way. I chose to remain a loner, although the pack offered me a position in their ranks." He shifted himself to become a little more comfortable in his seated position. "I contented on my way before I came across Cedar Grove's borders. Yes, I was extremely relieved to be at their borders as when i arrived, I was starving. I arrived in late winter and there was no prey around to keep my belly remotely full. Luckily for me, Flash, I think was the female's name, understood my circumstances and allowed me into the pack to regain my strength. But not long after my arrival, the fire struck and we were forced to move out of the lands. It did upset me as I thought I had a home, but it was soon destroyed. And as you asked, I am quite alright now as a member of Helidos. Quinn and Fenris are like parental figures to me and I would do anything to please them. This is my home now. It forever will be. I intend to live out my life here and whatever else comes along." He smiled as he looked at the female. Her eyes had captivated his interest. She was a spunky one, that's for sure. He thought about seeing what this little Guardian was made of. But first, he wanted to know more about her. "Enough about me. What was your past like?" He questioned the female with curiosity sparked in his eyes.

As he awaited a response from the white fae, he began to grow a bit peckish. His belly hissed at him like an angry rattlesnake being threatened. Sitka's mind was slowly focusing more on food, but his real focus lay with Rose and her backstory. A few deer could be seen a small distance away, grazing in the fields. He looked at the female with a gleam of trouble in his eye. "Care to join me for a hunt?" He stood and looked at Rose with eagerness to that she would join him. He knew he would accidentally make a fool out of himself as he did with the female known as Elsbeth. Falling over and hitting his head on a tree root? How more embarrassing could that get? He laughed a little to himself remembering the events that took place with the lovely Caretaker. He wished to meet with her again, to catch up and grow closer to her as a friend. He looked at Rose with a devilish grin. "Dare to challenge me to a race, little Rose?" He smirked, hoping she'd accept both offers for a bit of fun in the new morning sun. He watched her silently, awaiting her responses to his many questions and temptations.

Quick Paws (Sitka) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Quick Paws (Sitka) Quick Paws (Sitka) Icon_minitimeJuly 9th 2015, 11:40

She rolled her ears forward with excitement as the brute seemed to understand exactly what she had meant about her brother. Her white fur fluffed up as she listened, getting comfortable as the male's voice echoed through the area."I know Clare, I accepted her at the border when I first became Delta female, she is such a dear thing." She nodded slowly, shifting from paw to paw as she thought about the one she had accepted. It had been  a quick acceptance after finding out Clare had been from the previous lands she called home. She wondered if the brute still took a fancy to the white she-wolf, but she didn't dare ask. "She disappeared? How odd..." Rose felt sad for the brute, knowing the pain of loving another and having them leave. She shifted and looked down, her amber eyes full of understanding and sorrow for putting him through such memories. Her ears flicked forward as the brute spoke his mind. So he's glad I have no interest in anyone? Why...? She pondered for a brief moment and met the brute's gaze, her amber eyes glistening with curiosity. "Why are you glad I have no interest in anyone?" She spoke loud enough for the brute to hear, her eyes staying upon him.

He then continued on, talking about his past and she felt sad for him. "I am glad you are here now." She spoke softly, trying to reassure him about coming to Helidos, starting a new life. She felt bad for his past, but she was confident he would be alright. "My past? Well..." She paused in her words and shifted so she could fully see the he-wolf. "I was born in the deep south, lands covered in thick snow during the winter. Hot sun during the summer, flowers that would make you see beauty for what it truly is and leaves that showered the ground, showing death brings harsh life and then it brings hope. My mother looked much like me, but with deep blue eyes, like the sea or a blue flower. My father looked like my brothers, but with deep amber eyes. My family was well known in the pack, my mother being Lead Healer and my father being the Beta. When we were old enough to see and hear, the Alpha came to the Caretakers den and took us by age, Thunder, Faith, Holmes, and myself. He named us each, calling us what he thought be fit and our parents beamed with pride. When we reached the age to become Apprentices, we were brought to a field and the Alpha spoke to us. He told us the importance of our pack and how we must defend them. At the age of one year, in the same field, the Alpha asked permission from my father to have me be his mate when I turned of age. The alpha was young, 4-5 years of age as he had just taken over when we were born. He was kind, but I did not love him. My father agreed to it however, beaming that his daughter would be an Alphess. But a short while after that, our pack was attacked by the rival pack, lead by a vicious Alphess and Alpha. She killed her husband and took Faith and Thunder from me. Holmes, the third eldest, ran with me deep into the woods. But Holmes had been ill from birth, his lungs gave in and the two Elites chasing us had gained to the point of being minutes away. He turned around and fought them, telling me to leave. With the fact he was ill, and not the strongest fighter, I am sure he is dead." She felt sad by what she had to say about her brother, the one whom had saved her life.

"I wandered, too young to really understand anything, on the verge of starving and losing my own life. I met a wolf named 'Raven', a brute who stood at the tallest height I have ever seen, broad shoulders, and icy blue eyes. He teased me, and then mentored me in life. I became his companion, traveling with him and following him around like a small pup. After a while, he had discovered my sister and mentored her as well. He loved her, and I did not know he was leading her in the same direction as me. He kept us apart, not wanting us to meet until the time was right. One day after he had admitted loving a fae that looked almost exactly like me, he and I walked upon a mountain, attacked by a large cat. He died saving me, but he killed the large beast. He told me he loved me like a sister, that I would be strong enough to continue on without him. My sister was left unknowing his death, waiting for him to return until she decided he would not." She flicked her tail and looked down at her paws before continuing. "I then found myself in Pine Summit, greeted at the borders by Alpha Obsidian, a brute that looked exactly like my old mentor! It startled me, and then he explained they were not the same wolf and accepted me. I made friends, and found my brother in Cedar Grove. Then the disease struck, and I roamed the lands until I ended up here. Quinn's Betess, Juno, accepted me and then later I met Quinn and discovered she was Alphess of Maple Woods. I had heard Fenris had come to these lands in search of Quinn, and their love brought them together, it was amazing." She stopped talking, her amber eyes searching the rustic colored brute. She grinned as he spoke.

Hunt, or run. She pondered, a small and innocent grin dancing across her maw. "Race! If you can beat me, I'll catch you something better to eat!" She stood, her tail swaying as she bounced to stand beside him, her paws shifting in the dirt and she looked across the large field. "Halfway across the field or all the way?" She shifted and crouched down slightly, shaking her hips as she prepared to dart forward with the male. She would beat him, because she had been running all her life and was as quick as ever. She took several breaths, waiting for the he-wolf to say the words that would make her bolt. Her fur bristled against his because she stood so close to him, her tail swayed in a wag and she tilted her head upwards to see the males face, a grin crossing her maw at how tall he was compared to her. She was bubbling with excitement and joy, blood pumping through her veins. She wanted to go, to win and to be victorious. But she knew there was a chance of losing.

Quick Paws (Sitka) Empty

His ears twitched as he picked up the words that the female knew of the one he once loved. He still hurt from her disappearance, but knew it was all in her own decisions. Sitka groaned as the female asked for his reason behind why he was relieved that she had to love interest at the moment, but he would not deny her the truth of his thoughts. "Well Rose, I'm beginning to take a small liking to you. But we'll see how that goes, hm?" He made it short and sweet. Not wanting to over complicate things or have anymore questions asked, he quickly changed the subject back to their pasts. Listening silently to the Guardian, he couldn't help but feel sympathy for her as he knew a lot of the hardships that she had described. He understood how harsh and cruel life could be towards a wolf. It was unforgiving and ruthless, ready to kill at any minute. It was upsetting, but completely out of nature. Shaking his head slightly to refocus on the female before him, he spoke. "Well, miss Rose, I'm very glad that you're finally happy with the life you live." He dipped his head to the female, smiling at her next words. She automatically perked up and looked at him with an eager look in here eyes. He had never seen anyone become so happy so quickly. He smirked at the smaller wolf and said "Race it is then. All the way. If you win, I'll do as you ask for the day." He smirked, offering his services to her for the day for what she wished. He lowered the front half of his body downwards, leaving his hatched and tail in the air. He was ready to go, although he knew he will most likely lose as she was smaller and quicker than he. But it was all in good fun. "On your count, Guardian." He looked at her, ready to shoot off against the little wolf. He was larger and perhaps stronger than Rose, but he knew their was no way he was faster than her. Noting how excited she had become to race, how rapidly her breath had already become, the muscles under her fur already tightening to her body. He could feel her fur against his. He smiled and awaited words, or for her to just dart off in surprise to him. Either way, he was ready tot ale her on.

He likes me! Her mind almost exploded at the thought. She stayed quiet, her small body resting near his large body. She was waiting for the right timing, perhaps she would speak about him liking her? No... She shook her head and simply gave the brute a quirky smile. When he said on her count, she would wait a few more minutes. Hoping to tense him up. Her tail flicked, brushing up against the brute. "Now!" She barked out as if it was a command, her paws tearing across the ground a few seconds after her voice had grown quiet. She took off, paws hardly touching the ground. Her white figure almost becoming a blur when looked at out of the corner of an eye. Her amber eyes stayed trained on the other side of the field. Everything around her disappeared as she entered her comfort zone. Tail reaching the ground and swaying back and forth for balance. Her ears slowly folded against her skull, her body lowering a bit more to the ground as her hind legs pushed her flying forward. She wasn't paying attention to where Sitka was, but she was hovering near the edge of the large field, as she didn't want to startle any of the deer. She didn't look back, but she felt as if she should push herself more. Paws scraping against the ground, everything else a blur. She loved it. She hadn't run like this since... Pine Summit... She thought quietly, distracting herself as she moved forward with as much speed as she could pull off. Her body swayed, stumbling slightly from being distracted. This was enough to give the brute a good start on her. She regained her posture, taking off without even flinching. She breathed deeply, a grin flashing across her face as she listened to her heartbeat match her paws pounding against the soft earth. This is the way life should be, nothing but enjoyable. She let her smile grow as she thought quietly to herself. She loved running, and she ran everyday by herself. It was good to let all her energy out, to feel her blood rushing, her heart pumping faster then anything. She could picture her future as she ran, perhaps she would have a family soon. More then just a pack, or maybe she would make more friends and grow to fancy the male Delta.

The thunder of his paws were all that he could hear as he took off after the white bolt of fur. He pushed himself forward, trying to maintain his balance and speed to keep himself from taking a crash into the ground. His eyes focused ahead towards his destination, he moved a little faster. He took notice of Rose, who slightly stumbled and slowed down a bit. He was worried that she would get herself hurt, but his worry was soon relieved when she regained her balance and took off again. He smirked and sprinted forward, coming close to the other end of plains. She was still far ahead of him, and he knew that he couldn't catch up to her. He wasn't fast enough to keep up wither nimble body and quick paws. He was unsure if she had stopped once he reached the end of the plains. He was panting and breathing quite heavily as he flopped to the ground with exhaustion. He huffed as his tongue hung out of his mouth. "Well... Rose, looks.. like.. you win." He laughed through his breaths between words. He was very tired by this point, but would uphold his end of the bet. Regaining his breath once more, he spoke to the lovely creature. "Well, as I said, I now do as you ask for the day, m'lady. What might be your first request?" He smiled, dipping his head as if she were a royal leader. Looking up at her, be was soon captivated by her gaze. He got lost in her eyes so quickly, he wasn't sure how long he had been staring once he snapped back to reality. He smiled and looked at her, wanting to make a move but kept himself leashed. He sat, waiting for her to ask something of him.

Rose let her paws touch the earth until she had made it to the other side. She lowered her head, body weak with adrenaline. Her heart pounded, ears flattening against her skull as she tried to gain her breath. She didn't even know she had won until she heard the brute plop down and pant out words. Words, she couldn't even think about what he was saying. She slowly stepped towards the brute, collapsing beside him. She leaned against him, her weary head resting against his shoulder as she breathed in and out hard. "Si....Sitka." She felt her lungs expand and take in air. Her heart couldn't stand it, being so close to the brute and her adrenaline pumping. She breathed in and out quietly, gathering her breath as she tried to calm down. She was still trying to lean against the brute as she collected her thoughts and prepared to boss the male around. Finally, she closed her eyes for minutes on in, trying to find something to say. She opened her eyes and rolled slightly away from the rustic brute, amber eyes piercing in his direction. "Well, good sir, let us catch our breath and thoughts before we decide anything major." She let the words fall out with a rumble of joy in her chest. "We should hunt, perhaps. For the pack and for the both of us, we can enjoy a meal and chat some more if you like?" She spoke slowly, amber eyes searching the male. She didn't want the day to end, not now, not ever. She loved being around him, he was amazing. She wanted to learn more about him, but she didn't want to pound him with many questions. She wagged her tail and slowly stood up, stumbling slightly. "I must admit... it's been a while since I've run that far." She paused, thinking quietly. In reality, she simply wanted to take a nap in the shade. But she knew they should eat and regain their strength, then perhaps they could rest a bit more. She smiled warmly at the thought.

He watched at she came ofter to him, and sprawled out beside him in the dew covered grass. He chuckled as he had realized she had a loss of breath herself. He yawned and his belly rumbled. He was now very hungry. He couldn't wait to eat. He had been hoping she would suggest it the minute he asked what she wanted fem him first. He was relieved to hear her say that they should hunt for both themselves and Helidos. He nodded before speaking, pulling himself up to his paws with more effort than necessary. I suppose for ourselves first so we can carry as much back for Helidos as possible, especially once our own hunger is satisfied."He nodded, looking down at the amber-eyed wolf. "You rest while I fetch us something." He thought a larger hare or small deer would be well to them. He carried his sore paws through the plain grasses, nose centimeters away from the earth, and tried to scent a hare or two. With a little bit of luck and smell, he found a trace for a hare. He trotted along, constantly making sure Rose was still in his sights when he looked behind him. The smell became stronger once he found a shallow hole with a hare much too large for it taking what shelter he could. The creature saw him and automatically tried to escape from the tiny hole, but Sitka was close enough that a few strides, and he was able to pounce of the rabbit. He took a bite into it's throat to ensure its death then checked himself for injuries. He felt a sharp pain on his shoulder. The hare had snagged him with his claws. "Damn thing.." He began to mutter obscenities under his breath before taking the hare back to where Rose was. He dropped the hare before her and gave a goofy smile before speaking. He bowed before her. "M'lady, here is your mid-morning meal." He chuckled and and turned to find himself a meal. He trotted along, his shoulder stinging from the scratch marks the large hare had given him. He ignoring the little bit of pain, and carried on to satisfy his rumbling stomach. A shrew as crawling along the edge of the plains near the forest line. He thought it would be well enough to keep his belly happy for a little while. He itched closer to the small creature, careful not to startle it. He pushed himself from where he stood, sending his tired body towards the small creature, but missing. The whew scurried away through the thick brush of the woods. "Drats." He huffed and carried himself along the first line, looking for a meal to satisfy him. A squirrel was scampering through the plains to his right. He smirked and shot after it. Chasing it down before it knew what was happening. He snagged it within his jaws, crushing it with his canines before he carried his kill, and blood-stained maw back to where he left the Guardian. He set the squirrel down, his salmon tongue lapping hive the blood that was clearly around his muzzle. "I always hated hunting for this reason. Always getting blood stained on your face. It's quite a nuisance when you're a little bit of a clean freak." He growled through his licking of his blood-stained jowls before tearing back ingot he squirrel to relieve his stomach's begging for food. He tore a chunk of meat from the creature, swallowing it. The heat from it soothed his throat after their run that left him gasping for air like a fish out of water. He looked up at the white female, smiling to himself before continuing to finish his catch.

Rose shifted and blinked as the brute's words didn't register in her mind. She lay in silence, watching his figure disappear. She blinked, her eyes shifting to the ground as she lay in wait for the brute. She huffed out a heavy sigh and perked her ears forward as the male came back with a rather plump rabbit. She twitched her tail and smiled, eyes dancing with joy. He disappeared again and then returned with a squirrel. She watched him dig in and slowly she mimicked him, tearing away the flesh from the rabbit and eating until she was completely satisfied. She licked her paws and muzzle, cleaning her white pelt to the best of her ability. She giggled at his words, nodding her head in agreement. She squirmed closer, pulling herself to just a few inches away. Once he was done eating, she would lean forward and lick his muzzle clean. She wagged her tail slightly and stood up, nudging the brute quietly. She turned back to the herd of deer and instantly started to pick out which one seemed the more likely to catch. She flicked her tail and spotted an injured doe that was away from the herd. She turned to look at Sitka and then crouched, moving quietly through the tall grass. Her small body shifted with ease through the area. She got closer to the doe and then circled her prey. Since it was injured, it was an easy target. She licked her muzzle gently, creeping up on the target, her small body shaking with every step she took. Her small body was close to the ground, creeping forward. She shifted her paws slowly and once she was clear to aim her attack, she lunged forward and caught onto the beasts neck. She heard a snapping, something had scraped against her hind leg, but she clung until she was able to drag the injured doe down. The rest of the herd scattered into the woods when she took down her target. She struggled, bruising the doe to the best of her ability. It was obvious she was going to need a bit of help from the Delta. Her amber eyes never left her target. Pain seared through her hind leg and she grumbled, a low growl. She had done something to herself, when taking the doe, the doe had struck her with a front leg, a hoof that cut into her like a razor sharp rock. "Sitka!" She barked out, just loud enough to gain his attention, hopefully. She lifted her hind leg as she re-attached herself to the squirming doe.
