Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Empty
PostSubject: Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Icon_minitimeAugust 13th 2015, 12:14

Waking up in the morning just as the sun was rising into the sky, Samael stood up and shook the dirt from his pelt. He opened his bi-colored eyes and saw the world around him. Stretching out his front paws, the wolf could feel all the bones within his spine cracking and releasing the tension built up from sleeping uncomfortably. His tail curled over his back as his head lifted into the air. He looked up through the cover of trees, watching the small rays peak through the branches. Moving himself back to a normal stance, the lone wolf made his way out of the make shift den. He wandered around the area, feeling much better than he had months prior. His wounds were almost fully healed now, but in the weakness of his last moments with Tundra, he couldn't recall what had happened between them. He recalled her words, but as he spoke his in return, he couldn't hear his own self. Everything he had said, he forgot it. His memory had somehow been affected by the pain that plagued his body. But there was one thing he would never forget. H loved Tundra. He loved her more than anything in his life. She was his everything. She was the reason he was still living and breathing. He trained himself hard, practicing everything his father had taught him all day long. What else was he to do as a loner? He had idle time on his paws, nothing but idle time. He had been working hard to make himself better. He was changing and shaping into something much better than before. But today he would need a little different type of training. Water based would be important. There was the perfect water area to go to within the Rogue lands, where he would be safe from Teren and his men. But the journey to this area would be long, and very boring. Samael had been alone for so long, that he had began to sing to himself every now and then.

"It's all the same, only the names will change
Everyday, it seems we're wastin' away
Another place where the faces are so cold
I walk all night just to get back home

I'm an exile, on lonely paws I walk
I'm wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive

Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days
The wolves I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the rabbit that you eat
And times when you're all alone all you do is think.."

He sang aloud, allowing the sound to ring through the woods. If there were a wolf nearby, they would surely hear his song. But Samael did not care. If someone wished to fight him, he would be completely into it. In fact, he would encourage it. Finally he made his way to Diabolus Gargle. He could hear the water falling down the rocks and trickling into a river below. Feeling the thirst growing in his throat, he wanted to taste the cool waters. Finally he found himself at the start of the slippery rocks. He could feel the humidity in the air, forcing his fur to cling to his body more than before. The exiled wolf looked around until he found the largest rocks. Forward he sprang and bounced from rock to rock, trying to build up enough speed. He was a large wolf and for this, he was not very fast, but he would work on it. If he slipped an fell, he could suffer from a large number of serious injuries. The first being a concussion. He could also re-injure himself, forcing the bones to move once more and possibly die. He needed to do this for himself. He needed to do this for Tundra. Forcing his weight from one rock to the other, Samael could feel his pads slipping over the face of the rocks. Finally he found himself falling down the stream. Though he did not hurt himself too bad, it did hurt. Chuckling he walked to the bottom of the stream and laid on his side. As he let the water rolled over his body, he closed his eyes and found himself dozing off.

The song is Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead Or Alive". Some of the words were changed to fit Age, such as: ride = walk, cowboy = exile, steel horse I ride = lonely paws I walk, people = wolves, bottle = rabbit, drink = eat.

Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Icon_minitimeAugust 15th 2015, 18:32

In the end she had just gone ahead and done it. Stepped across the borders and into the lands ruled by those Exiled or willingly living alone as Rogues. She had to see him, needed to know he was alive and well and tell him about what she had done to get the rank she currently owned. It had been quite a while since she had last seen the dark pelted Exile in the Neutral territories and could only hope that he had made it back into these lands unharmed. Her paws carried her across the lush green grass as she wandered aimlessly. This was difficult, she did not know her way around these lands whatsoever and the last thing she needed was to bump in to a hostile rogue. She had heard a lot about them disliking those that came from packs. Inhaling deeply, she continued onwards- muscles tensed and eyes shining as her ears stayed perked atop her head. She would be ready if anything decided to creep up on her. If a fight did come she would merely think of everything that had been stressing and angering her recently and let that fuel her attack and then whoever had made the move would most definitely regret choosing this fight. Smiling, she continued to step forward lightly. She was completely silent- walking on the paws of the hunter- avoiding anything that could alert anyone of her presence such as the snap of a twig and keeping herself in a semi-crouch. This could take absolutely forever she realized with a frustrated grunt. She had no idea how much land was claimed by the packless and Samael could be absolutely anywhere- he might not even be in these particular territories at all! But she had come to conclusion that it was no longer safe for them to meet up in the Neutral territories, any Erenyx wolves could decide to take a stroll into the unclaimed lands- even Teren himself. Of course this would be bad anyway but since Samael was supposed to be dead...This made her push on with a new determination. Of course he had no idea about this and she was still wondering how exactly she would tell him. There was one thing she was certain of, he would not be very happy about it. But hey, you can't always be happy- now that was true.

How long had it been, a hour? Two? She couldn't tell but she knew she couldn't spend too long out here. She had not been Teren's guardian for long and would have to make an effort to be around the pack lands much more often to keep up with her rank duties or whatever. And she was very lucky to have not come across anyone else, though if a fight came she honestly wouldn't mine one....Shaking her head, she lashed her tail with exasperation as she lifted her nose to scent the air for what felt like the millionth time in hope to catch the familiar scent of Sam. She was feeling pretty hopeless to be honest, something she did not feel too often however she froze quite suddenly when a sound reached those perked ears of her. It was singing and even from here she recognized the voice. Don't stop... She begged silently as she turned in the direction of the noise- ears leaning forward to catch it as she broke into a steady run. Even as she moved forward- her surroundings flying past her- she made sure to throw her gaze to the sides and behind her every now and again just in case someone heard her and came to investigate.

It wasn't long before the singing stopped and she came to an abrupt halt, cursing softly. However she was much closer now and as a strong breeze pulled at the tips of her fur and she scented the air she as she caught something. She took a few steps forward before trying again, yes, definitely what she searching for! With a quick glance around to make sure she was still alone, the Guardian fae slunk in the direction of the familiar scent. At least it showed one thing. He was alive. She could of sworn she felt her heart lighten in her chest as it let go of a weight she had not even realized it had been holding. Finally she could hear water and in moments she stood by the sound's source. Bending down, she lapped at the cool waters gratefully, feeling the refreshing cool waters wash down her throat. Stepping back, she allowed herself to stretch out her aching limbs and take a moment to get herself together. Her gaze locked on a dark shape not too far off and she frowned, automatically moving in the direction of it. If he had done something reckless and slipped and hurt himself or worse....she took a deep breath. However as she finally reached him the steady rise and fall of his chest showed her that he was living. Was he....asleep? She tilted her head to the side as she sat near the sleeping wolf in the water's shallows. She sat there uncertainly, not really knowing what to do. He looked so peaceful as he dozed, no worry or stress evident on his face. She sighed heavily, trying to recall the song he had been singing. It had been nice...his voice had been nice.....very nice. Frowning, she stood in one graceful movement. Watching his tail, she felt the rare streak of mischievousness flicker within her as she slowly began to slink closer. In seconds she had sprang forward and attempted to pounce on his tail in an effort to startle him awake. Of course he could lash out at her but she went on the belief that she'd be able to dodge a drowsy wolf. If successful, she would let the corners of her maw twitch upwards as she leaned forward slightly. "Boo. You know you shouldn't let yourself fall asleep out here...big bad rogue's might come gobble you up" She stated with a playfully serious and scolding tone. It wasn't really her but she'd been doing a lot of things that wasn't her recently and anyway, her wasn't exactly very nice. All cold and just generally not nice..she supposed Samael deserved a little break from that before the more pressing and serious topics were brought up.

Stepping back, she leaned on her haunches and let her long tail curl over creamy paws neatly. Watching through hazel eyes, she could not help but wonder how much of their last conversation he remembered. He had lost consciousness after all, would that harm the memories of the words spoken by the two? She had never gotten to answer his question, she had not known what it was that she would say at the time but she was certain now. Remaining silent, she gave him a few moments to get himself together- all the while keeping a lookout for any Rogue's that could be a threat to the two. She did not like it here one bit, but at the current moment, it was the safest place they could be.

Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Icon_minitimeAugust 19th 2015, 17:22

Dozing off into the stream was probably the best idea for the young exile. The cool waters fought off the thickening heat as the sun tried to scorch the earth. The large male was calm and at peace, but not for too long. A force unknown to him pounced on the midnight tail, lingering close behind his body. As the weight met the bone, Samael's eyes sprung open. Immediately he lifted himself up on his feet and gave a snarl. Still groggy from just being woken, his eye sight was not the most clear. He could see a white form, but without batting his eyelids a million times, he couldn't be sure of who it was. He growled and snarled, making himself seem more monstrous than he already was. But even as his eyes played tricks on him, his nose did not. With a deep inhale, her scent rolled up into his nostrils and covered his body within her aura. Tundra. Immediately, his hackles fell, his snarls and growls of aggression and pent up anger ceased. His eyes softened and he was able to actually blink in the clarity. Bi-colored hues stared directly into the ones he loved. Love. His throat tightened and his heart started to beat like the sound of a thousand wolves racing after a single hare. "Tundra... I..." He didn't know what to say. Lost for words once again. Way to go Samael... he thought to himself. Oh how foolish he had been for acting in this manner.

Finally able to pull himself together, the Exile smiled to the white wolf. It had been a long time since he had seen anyone he cared about. Every day he thought of her and Striker, hoping they were doing well in their prospective packs. The onyx male took a few steps closer to her, still soaked from head to tail. But he didn't care and he hoped she would not either. He pressed his body against hers, reaching his head over her neck and lightly licking the space behind her ear. As he did so, his nose nuzzled in her fur and inhaled deeply. It was good to be so close to her yet again. He had almost forgotten where they were. It was then that Samael realized she was not safe here. He had been just about fully healed in this time, but it still not safe for her. Rogues hated pack wolves. It had taken him a while to strip himself of Erenyx's tainted smell. He pulled away and stared at her as he held their locked eyes. "Tundra, you shouldn't be here. It's not safe for you. If anything happened to you on account of me, I would never forgive myself. Please, let me walk you home?" He really didn't like the idea of leaving her so soon, but he didn't want her to have any worries or extra pains to her life.

Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Icon_minitimeAugust 21st 2015, 15:21

She had hopped back nimbly as he leaped up aggressively, deep snarls tearing themselves from his throat. Well at least his reflexes were still sharp she thought with a satisfied nod as she kept out of his way until he was fully awake and aware that his company was not a threat. She fought the urge to snigger as he swayed, growling furiously as he tried to blink the sleep out of his eyes. Had this been any other wolf, she would be tensing her own muscles in preparation to leap forward and attack but this was Samael and she did not feel even slightly intimidated by his large and snarling form. However he seemed to almost deflate as he relaxed after inhaling deeply. Finally he had noticed who had been the one to attack his dark coloured tail. Tilting her head to the side, she met his now clear bi- coloured gaze and let a small smile grace her lips. She tried to read the emotions or thoughts burning through him but found herself lost and unfocused, with a frown she blinked again. This was not something that she was used to. She could feel her heart beating rhythmically against her chest at a normal pace but suddenly the sound of it filled her ears and she could of sworn that he'd be able to hear the 'thump thump' of it as she twitched her creamy ears. She felt herself having to drag her gaze away after a few moments, unable to take the emotions that surged powerfully through her with the connection. But as she broke it and glanced down at the rushing waters, she felt relief at the calmness that once again settled back inside her but it was now also accompanied with a different type of emptiness. One that she did not like. She grit her teeth with frustration, man was this love thing confusing in so many ways. She glanced back up, hoping he had not noticed her little struggle that had taken place within her as he spoke a couple of words before trailing off again- seeming uncertain and confused. Tilting her head to the side, for the first time in years she let her emotions play openly across her face without even meaning to- confusing lingering behind the dark shadows in her hazel eyes.

Suddenly angry at herself, she straightened and gave herself a quick shake as if to shake all the confusing emotions away. Then she would sit and curl her tail neatly over her paws, behaving in a much more composed manner than before. She returned his smile as she felt herself relax even if the emotions still lingered there. As long as they did not do any sudden attacks it was okay, in fact it was as close to pleasant as she would ever admit an emotion like this could be. It was warm and fuzzy and made her feel safe and relaxed, but was that a good thing? Her suspicious gaze would once again rake across her surroundings in search of any unwelcome canines or any sort of predator. He must have noticed since once she turned back, he voiced the dangers of this place aloud. A sad smile creeped across her maw as he asked her to let him walk her home and she gave her head a slow shake. "A dead wolf cannot be seen walking his killer home"She stated before letting out a bitter laugh at her own pathetic joke. How cruel the world was to these two, it had already been tough for them and now being seen together meant death in most cases. Straightening, she pulled herself together and shook her head. Better expand on that sentence so that he didn't think she'd completely lost it. "Sorry, bitter humor. Look Sam, I am not going to dress it up to make it sound any better but I'm just going to be straight out with it. Teren thinks you're dead, I went to him and told him that I murdered you and he bought it. I am now his Guardian so the search for you has been called off, I even managed to persuade him that Nature would have claimed your body by the time I reached you. But this also means that if you get caught by an Erenyx wolf that is loyal to him, he will kill me." She stated flatly, voice hollow and empty. She watched him closely after admitting this and could not help but feel slight curiosity pull at her. How would he react? He would not be happy of course, she had learned that Sam was not a wolf that liked others risking themselves for him. Very modest....But he'd have to deal with it, if him and Tundra were to become anything then they would be a team, there would be no going up against things alone. Frowning to herself, she let a question slip out before she had a chance to stop it. "Our last conversation...do you remember much of it?" She asked warily. He had lost consciousness after asking her a question that had left her baffled and uncertain. Only now, she had a firm and certain answer. But did he remember asking the question in the first place? She sat stiffly, still alert for any unwelcome visitors.

Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Icon_minitimeAugust 21st 2015, 16:27

With their embrace over, Samael realized she did not reciprocate his affections. Something was wrong. Perhaps another wolf had stolen her right from under him. She sat there, poised and perfect, looking at him as though he was a freak. He couldn't understand what was wrong with her. In their last time seeing one another, he had fainted and completely forgotten what had happened. Had he said something wrong? He must have done or said something to make her so... distant from him. Samael tried hard to think back to that day they saw one another. Everything was blocked, erased from his memory. But the worst thing were the words that spilled from her black lips. "A dead wolf cannot be seen walking his killer home" Her words were cryptic and deep. Was she planning to kill Samael? He was slightly confused, actually, very confused. But he was silent and he watched her carefully. He was unsure if he could trust the fae he loved. She started to explain. Teren. Murdered. Guardian. These words rushed through his mind as she spoke. There was a silence after that, allowing herself time to ask another question. That question, however, passed through one ear to the other. It did not longer in his mind, or even allow it to be processed. He could feel the anger building within his own body.

"No!" he shouted as he moved away from her. He turned his back from the fae, staring off into the distance. A loud snarl ruptured from his throat. It was deep and hearty, reminding him of the wolf he idolized. His father. It was then that Samael allowed the essence of his father to consume him. If he fought it, then he would be torn. If he allowed it to do as he pleased, then he would find peace. If he forced out all the bad juju from his life, setting the anger free, then he would make it alive. The muscles throughout his body tensed. The fur along his spine was raised. He growled at the ground, keeping his head low as he tried to force all the anger out. "Why on earth would you do that? Are you crazy? Do you know what that monster does to wolves who are in his high ranks?" He turned around and faced her. He could not even believe that she would even think about lying to the Alpha about this. "Tundra, what the hell were you thinking? I don't need you to do something like that for me. You were not thinking... I have plans... Big plans to kill that monster and you tell him I am dead? What if I fail, Tundra? Then he will kill the both of us! I was able to escape him once, but I doubt I would be able to do it again, and you... He's got your number now. You owe him for this. Telling him that you killed me, it won't be enough. What were you thinking?" His chest was rising and falling steadily, barely able to catch his own breath. He glared at her, lost in the fury of his anger. He couldn't believe he had been acting this way. "Do you even care about me?" he asked as he started to calm slowly. "Losing you... If anything happened to you, I would have no reason to keep going."

Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Icon_minitimeSeptember 4th 2015, 06:25

It was easy to pick up his confusion at her words as he made no effort to hide it. However he remained silent as he waited for the next sentence she spoke. The confusion and uncertainty began to change as she spoke, his expression darkening until it became shadowed with anger. Any humour she may have gained from his confusion at her own stupid, bitter joke fell away as she held herself tall and mentally prepared herself for the outburst that was sure to come. And it was just as this thought entered her head that he snapped and let out a shout, backing away from her before he turned to face the other direction. For now she kept a cold and calm expression as she hung onto a thin strand of patience however if it snapped she would plunge into her own impatient and frustrated anger. Hopefully this little sliver of patience would hold until he was finished his rant. Her own lip curled instinctively as he snarled, hazel gaze flashing warningly but of course he would not see this. She had to admit, he showed much more anger than she had expected but Tundra held her ground, eyes glittering. His whole body reacted to the anger as it should, strong muscles tensing- fur spiking up along his spine and Tundra watched quietly for a few fascinated moments. Weird how your body reacted to your emotions and took the control from you. Another reason why emotions were dangerous, they weakened you not just mentally but physically too. She pushed her paws against the ground, pushing herself taller as her claws scraped harmlessly against slick rock. He himself had lowered his head closer to the ground as the anger evidently raged through him like a forest fire- pushing you, screaming at you to run, fight- whatever it took. Pushing the adrenaline forcefully through your body to force it to take action, at least that's how it would be described by her…that could mean nothing though, her relationship with her emotions wasn't exactly normal to say at the least.

He spoke again, whipping around angrily to face her as he did so. Her cold hazel gaze met his blazing bicolored eyes defiantly, soft growl managing to instinctively escape her. After a few moments of him snapping out words a sharp laugh tore from her as she gazed at him bitterly. "Me, crazy? If only you knew" She watched through narrowed eyes, tail flicking from side to side as she felt her defences rise. The little string of patience she held on to was surely weakening and the little growls that escaped her were becoming much more frequent. "Look, I don't know who you think you are but you have no right to take out what anger you may be feeling on me over this! You're an absolute fool to think you can do all of this alone and if you're so certain that you can take him on for the final battle and won't let anyone help then fine! But that doesn't mean I cannot help before hand, what do you plan on doing? Striding into Erenyx and expecting everyone to just step back and let you kill Teren because that's not how it will work, you need to know what he's planning or up to and you need to make up some sort of plan or this will never work!" Her eyes blazed as the string snapped and anger fuelled her body without hesitation. She now mirrored him with her own tensed muscles and bristling fur, eye's like daggers. "And if you do have some brilliant plan and didn't want to tell me because you're too cocky to get any help that will make it look like you didn't do everything yourself then  it's not my fault" She growled, tempted to turn and stalk in the opposite direction away from the Exiled brute right now but no, she stayed standing there coldly as he spoke again.

"I wasn't thinking?" She laughed icily Whatever you say, boss" Her words were dripping with acid and venom as she stood with her lip curled back revealing the stained fangs that had committed an uncountable number of crimes. "What if you fail? Then we die, either way. You have big plans eh? Well sorry, forgot Steele's son can't be confiding in those below him, nope only those with royal blood need to know anything, the rest can blunder around blindly getting in trouble for wrecking the master's plans" She sneered cruelly, she might have stepped over the line but she was pissed, and had already been tired and stressed beforehand. She did not want to have to put up with this right now. She was growing tired now, some of the crazed anger falling away. She was still incredibly annoyed but no longer had the strength to spit out each word and snarl and rant. She simply watched through cold, angered eyes but fell back down to her normal height. Muscles stayed slightly tensed beneath her thick pelt, obviously still not trusting of Samael, funny little body. She knew he would not lash out at her no matter what anger he may feel, not physically anyway. Mentally, well he had already hadn't he? "He would have found you eventually had I not told him that you were dead and then I would've died anyway, maybe not by his claws but by my own reckless moves which still might've ended up getting an end to my pitiful life from him. He believed me, he had no reason not to. Teren doesn't or at least no longer understands anything like love so he did not see why I could be lying. Anyway, if he kills me so be it, we're all just born to die after all." She spoke drily, trying to hide the weariness that was battling to come through. She had given away that her actions had been because of love and she was uncertain as to how much she liked this, the old part of her brain was straight away searching for how this could be a weakness and she could pretty much see the red blaring lights flashing warningly. But another part was overshadowed by love, it tugged her into doing these things and hid how it could weaken her behind this mist of warm and pleasurable sensations that made her gaze feel drawn to the brute before her.

Was he starting to calm? She wasn't sure and was beyond caring,  she felt herself pretty much deflate and stood there wearily. Suddenly feeling like a damn Elder and putting all her energy into just standing. She was emotionally and physically wrecked and could feel her strength ebbing steadily. For a moment she felt herself flare up defensively when he asked did she even care about him, why the hell did he think she did this? But in the end just smiled sadly, shaking her head. "Why do you think I risked my life for you? Or that's what I intended anyway, just somehow made a mess of your stupid secretive plans." There was still a little sharpness to it as she finished, still not happy with him. She met his gaze as he spoke of losing her and felt a strange pain stab at what could only be her heart. "Yeah well the feeling's mutual but still you're going to go take on the strongest wolf in these lands- oh wait, you have plans" She still managed to add a cutting edge to the word but there was way less ferocity then before and she could feel herself weakening. Finally she had to sit and pinned her ears angrily, not wanting to look in anyway weaker but the truth was, she was. She had not slept in who knew when and hadn't even had time to feed herself properly. Gritting her teeth, she still tried to hold herself tall despite sitting and waited silently for Samael to speak again.

Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Icon_minitimeSeptember 6th 2015, 12:01

Everything was happening so quickly, he could barely keep all the events organized in his brain. She lied to the deadliest wolf in these lands. She made a stupid choice for his safety. Who's to say that Teren would find him? The black wolf probably didn't leave his own throne, let alone come seeking him personally. Samael would be safe. He would be free to roam the neutral lands and the rogue territories. The Exile was in complete shock still. his anger coursed through his veins, forcing him to stay on edge. The bi-colored eyes stared at her, trying to comprehend everything as it came all at once. Even though she had been talking at an average pace, to him it all sounded rushed and mashed together. All of it but one word. Love. It was a word he had heard before. He had experienced it. He loved his family. He saw the look of love in others' eyes, especially when they watched their children die and be killed. He had seen the look of love from his own father's eyes on many occasions. The male stared at her, trying to get all of his mind straight. So many things rushed here and there. He could barely keep focus. But reasoning told the male to handle the other things first, then address the four letter word. But he allowed her to rattle on and on. He would not stop her on this day. She could speak of anything she truly wished and he would listen. "My plan. My plan. It's called my plan, not Samael and Tundra's plan. If I wanted you to do more to endanger yourself, sure, I would tell you."

Samael looked to the female, looking over her white coat. It had always been so beautiful and elegant to him. Even if she was mad at him, angered by his actions and words, she was gorgeous. He couldn't get over that within his mind. Tundra was the perfect wolf for him. She was loyal to a fault. She wanted to protect him, at the risk of her own life. She really was crazy. But he too was insane. Perhaps they were the perfect match with one another. Two crazies made one sound mind, didn't it? The male was stunned with how much she had to say. She did not seem to like this side of Samael. Truth be told, he wasn't a fan either. But seeing her so angered by his actions, it was like a slap in the face. The male awoke. He stopped this aggressive stance, his fur laid back down, a mess and array. His eyes relaxed, no more gleaming her way in an aggressive manner. Instead, it was calm and serene. His tail laid between his hind legs, calm and still. He was completely relaxed. "Tundra..." He could barely speak. He cleared his throat and tried to speak once more. It was a deep tone, though it was filled with a sound he had not heard before. "You wish to know my plan? It's pretty complex. It's mostly built on patience and waiting. I know I cannot take him on one versus one. I know I cannot just parade myself into Erenyx. I know all these things. I'm not trying to be a the super hero here. I just want to keep those I love safe, like Striker... and.."

Samael looked to her, clearing his throat some more. "One day Teren is going to slip up. He may wander into the open lands, he will leave his home, his sanctuary. I will strike when he least expects it. You telling him I am dead, it was a good thing. I overreacted... Because I am afraid. I'm scared to lose you. Not to lose my own life." He continued to stare at her, thinking as he tried to formulate his thoughts into the right words. "Tundra, I was a fool. I should not have treated you in such a way. I promise I will never speak to you in such a manner again. I had seen my father speak to my mother in such a way, maybe that's why she left me with him. I don't and will never know why she left me. But of all the things I am unsure of, there is one I know I don't want to happen. I don't want to lose you. I've only known you for a short while, since you joined Erenyx, but some days it feels like I have known you my whole life. I know we can't be together in a traditional manner, for I am banned from my own home.. But I want to be with you. I love you and I will be true to you, in hopes that one day I will be able to see seen with the fae I love."

Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Talking To The Dead [Tundra] Icon_minitimeSeptember 14th 2015, 03:32

She stayed seated, inhaling deeply as she felt the warm air fill up her lungs before exhaling sharply and letting it all back out to the join the Summer breeze. The distance between them was frustrating, it felt wrong for lack of a better word. But she held onto her pride and kept to the distance, still fuming silently as her claws scraped along the smooth rock. He was still angry, she could feel it crackling in the empty space between them and so she pushed her own frustrated emotions to battle it. He was openly staring right at her, making no effort to conceal it so she raised her chin and let her own hazel gaze bear into his challengingly. The eyes she met were darkened with frustration however they also seemed to be jumbled up with what, confusion? She twitched her ears, frowning as she tried to make sense of the brute before her and literally, unaware that as she did this she was also searching for something in herself since her own gaze pretty much mirrored his. She was a complete mess, emotions battling viciously within her as they struggled to dominate each other. She wanted to just throw back her head and howl, howl strongly to the skies and empty herself of everything yet she remained silent, that would be a bad decision for so many reasons. It was an odd mixture, the fiery anger that pumped through her veins and the breathtaking sensation the left her heart either high in her throat or deep in her stomach. Love. She fought back the urge to laugh at this stupid situation caused by anger and love, who even knew two such different emotions came together so often. He spoke and she remained silent, taking in each word he spoke in the voice she had heard so many times and came to love even if it was now tight with contained anger. He was calming though, not as bad as he had been before and she could feel herself instinctively falling into a state where the anger was beginning to fade as the stronger emotion began to take over, the strongest emotion ever known. She shook her head as he finished, smiling sadly but letting the anger leak away before she let herself speak. "You don't get it, do you? As long as I...." She trailed off, voice slightly uncertain but with a swish of her tail she blinked slowly and continued firmly and strongly- it was the truth after all, a blind wolf would be able to tell. "As long as I love you I have submitted myself for a life of risk and do you not think I was aware of what I was getting myself into? Yet here I am Samael, my life was never easy- never had any calm moments except once and I was the one to change that. I have come to realize that a settled and calm life never left me content, I lived on the adrenaline of the risk, the fight. You'll have to accept me for who I am Samael, and that is someone who never sits back and lets others do the work. If you don't let me help I'll end up getting myself involved in something else, it's not something I can help." She shrugged then, gaze glittering as she dragged it away from the brute and focused it on the waters that shone magnificently in the sunlight.

She felt the flick switch from pissed to calm without even having to look back. The crackling tension was gone, she no longer had to feel the instinctive urge to be on edge in case she would need to defend herself and felt her own body almost deflate as she turned back to him, gaze unusually soft for her and fur flat and smooth along her back, muscle calm and no longer tensed. This time she met the calm bicolored gaze she knew so well, no longer faced with the accusing gleam of anger. She was completely silent, not a word left her however her heart seemed to beat ten times its normal pace and she felt strangely breathless. She heard him speak her name, felt something spark within her as she blinked, the sun reflecting in her hazel gaze and turning them almost gold in colour. "Yes?" She finally breathed out, the word sounding like a whisper due to the small amount of breath it was given. She listened as he continued speaking, letting her know of his plans. One thing stood out to her that made her frown, Striker? She had heard of the name once and that had only been when others had been telling her of the pups forced to fight to the death, she had heard that Striker had been one of the few that died. She did not notice where he faltered and trailed off before picking himself up again as she was busy trying to figure out if there was another Striker she knew of. In the end she simply slipped in a question during his brief silence before he could start speaking again. "Striker? As in the former apprentice of Erenyx, as in the dead Striker? He's dead isn't he?" She asked, making no effort to hide her confusion.

She let him continue on with explaining his plan, slightly embarrassed for interrupting him like she had but she wanted to know if another had managed to get away from Teren's grasp, it pleased her. And if he meant something to Samael then it interested her more. She gazed at him as he proceeded to apologize for his actions and accepted it without hesitation, she had no suspicions about wether it was genuine or not. She could tell it was the complete truth with such ease. "I am also sorry, I should not have been so quick to go and do my own thing without confiding in you first. I was just worried, you were still recovering from your injuries which slowed you and I hated the thought of him possibly finding you when you were still weakened so I hoped to at least slow him down until you were fully recovered." She spoke slowly and carefully, not wanting to offend the brute and bring back any anger he had previously held. She twitched the tip of her tail and remained seated, muscles slack and tired but gaze still alert and ready for any danger. She knew she was not welcomed in these lands by most. He spoke again, this time going into much more depth with apologies and she lifted her gaze to meet his unwavering gaze of unique colours. She held on to each word he spoke as if letting go meant death. The words had a strange effect on her, never before had one actually said aloud that they feared losing her, cared for her.

She swallowed, feeling a slight tightening in her throat as she forced herself to break the contact and glance away. She was still battling these emotions, trying to get some order within herself. All her life she had lived with the knowledge that trust meant nothing but pain and possible death, her allies were killers- only putting up with eachother for their own survival. Yet now here she was, insane and messed up beyond repair but with a wolf that cared about her, that loved her. How was she supposed to react to that? She could remember her first night in these lands so clearly, Winter's grasp had left it freezing yet beautiful. A year and a half ago now? She had come across young Warrior Samael and former Elite Katyusha. Who would have ever known how things would go after that one conversation on the Winter's night. She was silent for a while, hazel gaze holding emotion- such a rare sight to see and almost making her look like a different wolf. Dead eyes made a difference to your appearance alright. Most said the eyes were the window to the soul so it made sense, right? Dead eyes equaled to a dead soul so the difference a bit of emotion leaking in would have to be big because it must mean that the soul is coming back to life. Her eyes shone brightly as she once again met his beautiful unique bicoloured gaze, the first thing to ever stand out to her when she first laid eyes on the son of Erenyx's former alpha.

In two steps she closed the distance between them, the emptiness removed. She could feel her heart racing in her chest and took a deep steadying breath. Her gaze remained on his, feeling her body give in to the beautiful yet dangerous emotion. It played with her, giving her little sudden sparks of feeling before dulling to a calm and pleasant fog at the back of her mind. She had no large speech prepared nor was she in a state to deliver one but he had said enough for the two of them. Only three words remained, three words so simple yet meaning so much. So overused, words that can be used to tear someone apart or put them back together. Words that once spoken aloud put you in a position of holding a promise that had to be kept. These words had been waiting to escape for all too long and with soft and gentle eyes, she blinked slowly as she whispered softly in his dark furred ear. "I love you."
