| Walking aimlessly through a forest that was new to her, Tulie sniffed uninterestedly at a crocus poking up through the melting snow. Spring was deffinatly in the air and the land was coming back to life. But, for the young darkly colored fae she hardly noticed. She was alone and her heart almost broke for the emptiness that had been filled by her family. But she couldn't show her face, knowing that the male would not choose her for his mate. She might as well forget him. Him and her natal pack. She was three years old, beginning her prime. She needed a change of scenery anyway. It was time for her to move on. Optimism lightened her step. Yes, a new change of scenery is exactly what she needed.
Her mind started to wander, daydreaming about about a new pack that possibly had pups. Oh she just loved puppies. Her step turned into a light springing step, eyes a bit unfocused as she moved swiftly onward. A root lay across her path, raised from growth as erosion ate away at the dirt around it, laying there as if like a trap. So caught up in her thoughts the fae failed to notice the upraised root. Her front paw caught the edge of it and she fell forward onto her chest, her chin striking the ground. "OOF!" She gasped, then she groaned a little at the sharp sting. "Great, just great. Why the heck does this always happen to me?" She grumbled to herself. She lifted herself from the ground, rather awkwardly then shook her pelt, dirt and debris flying in every direction. But then a faint scent caught her attention. Freezing her form, she lifted her nose to the slight breeze and breathed deeply. Aha, a pack!!
Tulie once again shook her fur, settling the hairs as she followed the scent many wolves mixed together. It didn't take her long to find the source, for obviously it was a boarder. Tulie sat in her haunches, curling her tail around her paws. This was a perfect place. She could make her home here. No one knew her, that was for sure. Now only to summon someone and ask for a place within! Tulie lifted her muzzle to the now twilighted sky, it's stars making themselves know to those whom loved to gaze at their loveliness. Pointing her nose skyward, Tulie let out a series of yips that turned into a full blown howl. There was no way someone could ignore that howl, she thought, lowering her nose to await a possibly future pack mate. God she hoped that they had an opening

Let's set fire to our insides, for fun. She had been out wandering, body moving forward slowly as a frown sat atop her features. Her injured paw was almost better and although her walk was still a bit off, she was putting weight on all four paws again. The breeze ruffled her creamy fur but it the air was warmer and the sky was clear with a sun that actually provided some heat on her back. Spring was moving in and with that would come new life. She had seen some 'to-be' mother moving around the camp slowly, stomach's swollen with the growth of new life and it saddened her. Why after all she'd gone through, it was when she'd finally found someone she was happy with that the ability to start a family with them was torn away. The thought of being a mother was terrifying, she didn't exactly have such maturity levels in that sense but it was still a longing that she couldn't force away. She'd never been effected by the Winter feelings that consumed some faes but then again, she'd never been in love. Her pearly fangs were gritted as she stalked forward, love was a weakness and she couldn't escape it. She had fallen for Samael and she couldn't get back up. But he didn't think she properly loved him, she'd been so confused when he'd left her after her confessing her whole past to him. He'd taken it the wrong way, he'd thought she was uncertain of her love for him. Love scared her but she very well knew it was that that she felt for him wether she wanted to or not. She'd let her guard down and he'd slipped in, filling her with weird emotions only to leave her like that? He'd said they needed time alone, what was that supposed to mean? She was startled from her thoughts by a howl nearby. It had gotten much later, the sky a dusky purple colour with small stars peeking out. Twilight, what a beautiful time. She wasn't in the mood to do a border but she had wandered so close to the border itself without even realizing and it would be rude to just walk away. Not that that really bothered her but the last thing she needed was Teren getting suspicious over her purposely walking away from someone's summoning howl so with a heavy sigh she changed course slowly so that she was moving in the direction of the call. As she got closer she could tell that it was a fae by the scents that drifted towards her on the slightly chillier breeze as the day came to an end. It made her both happy and concerned to know it shared her gender. This pack had too many power-hungry males thinking they ruled the place but she didn't want another fae having to be caught up in this sexist pack. She was coming to the end of the vegetation so, inhaling deeply, she raised her tail in a sign of dominance and stepped forward to come face to face with the loner. She had chased all emotion from her gaze so it was a blank set of hazel eyes that rested on this wolf. Her pelt was a mixture of several types of earthy browns and she stood looking hopefully into the territories of the pack. It sent a small spark of sadness into the Guardian's heart as she knew this pack would not be what she expected but she refused to let emotions control her actions and chased the pity away before giving a curt nod in greeting. "Greetings loner, you stand on the borders of Erenyx ruled by the mighty Alpha Teren. I am his Guardian, although your answer is predictable I must ask anyway- what is it that you want with this pack? Please be quick with your answers as I have stuff I need to be doing."In all honesty, she didn't actually have anything else she was supposed to be doing, she merely hated borders. She would much prefer to be alone with her own thoughts than conversing with another wolf. She lifted her head slightly and gaze up at the stars high above in the sky, some birds still flew across the setting sun and she watched them enviously. What was it like to be able to go wherever you pleased? She knew such freedom came with a cost, when they weren't in the sky they were in constant danger. Which means they were probably only given that ability to be able to get away, wolves could fend for themselves down here. But still, right now, it would've been a trade she would be willing to make just to get away from here.

| Tulie, sat and waited for a response to her summons. She tilted her head back and looked to the twinkling stars that began appearing most earnestly, and she waited some more. Looking back to the border she lifted her ears forward eagerly, hopefully as a white wolf slowly came into view. It walked with a slight limp and Tulie's heart instantly went out to the being, wanting to help. As the white wolf closed in she caught the scent of a female. Tulie wiggled with delight and a big, sincere smile lit up her face, going up to her eyes. Her tail thumped the ground as she lowered her head and laid her ears back as she caught sight of the raised white flag over the fae's back.
Tulie did not fail to notice that the snowy fae's features did not reveal her inner emotions. It was a reflex that many, even in her own pack had tried to master, though some little bit would sometimes slip through. Right now, in her stance Tulie could see impatience, and something else. Oh she really hoped that she would be accepted, this fae looked troubled and she really wanted to help. The Fae spoke then, greeting her in a monotone as if it was rehearsed many times over. She was a guardian to the Alpha of Erenyx. She had heard faint whisperings of a pack lead by a bloodthirsty alpha but she couldn't remember his name, but she remembered the pack name. Tulie stilled at hearing it, and prepared to back away, but quickly looking at this guardian had her staying her paws. She tried to hide it but a little slipped through her facade.
As the darkness began to deepen, Tulie's tail stilled but the full blown smile dimmed down into a softened welcoming one. Her dark lips parted as she spoke sincerely from her heart, "Hello, guardian. My name is Tulie and I am here to ask for admittance. Is there an open position to take care of puppies?" Tulie glanced the Guardian over, noting that she was putting pressure on all four paws but one didn't have full weight on it. Before the guardian could answer Tulie spoke again. "Are you alright Guardian? Can I be of assistance to you??" Tulie looked at her, hoping she saw raw honesty and sincerity. One could never expect to be rightly honest at the first meeting but Tulie just couldn't help herself. |

Let's set fire to our insides, for fun. Tundra nodded in acknowledgement at the respectful gesture given by the other. Good, she wasn't in the mood to deal with some loner who thought they owned the place, at least this one knew her manners and had some real brains. Others like Teren and his growing group of brothers would probably demand much more of a submission but Tundra cared little for the dramatics, as long as the respect was there she was content. At the mention of this pack being Erenyx, Tundra noticed her company give a slight start and a look of sheer panic seemed to shadow her features before she regained her composure. Tundra blinked sadly, so she had not known what she was walking into. The other fae seemed to consider backing up and Tundra would've let her but something stopped it and a frown crossed the Guardian's features briefly before she pushed it away and her expression was as blank as ever. Why hadn't she left? Tundra wanted to tell her to leave when she still could but the risk of another hearing it and reporting it back to Teren was too high so she was forced to remain in pained silence. The shadows were lengthening around them and Tundra noticed the body posture of the other become slightly stiffer as it's tail stilled but the smile placed atop its features was still warm and welcoming. Her head tilted to the side and she felt slight sadness pierce her but it was impossible for one to see, how long would such gentle smiles remain on this fae's face after spending some time here? This place, it changes wolves... She listened attentively as the wolf spoke, hazel gaze bearing into the other unwaveringly. She introduced herself as Tulie and slight surprise stirred within her as she asked if there was a spot open for caring for puppies? It was quickly replaced by a much stronger sadness that she could not control, an Autay to care for all the other mothers pups. Not her, maybe never her. She didn't even feel she was ready for pups and didn't know what was wrong with her but the mention of others getting to experience bringing new life into this world made her very sad. It must be love messing with her brain. She shook her head sharply and cleared her throat, getting back to business. "Greetings Tulie. I believe you will be happy to hear that we do have an opening for the caring of the pups. We call the rank 'Autay'. I am glad you seek that rank as we have a couple of mothers that are expecting pups this Spring and we currently have no Autay's to help care for them." She let a small smile grace her features as she dipped her head before it was quick to fade again. She still didn't know why this Tulie hadn't left when hearing it was Erenyx she'd stumbled upon but maybe she didn't know the full extent of how terrible this place could be. But the decision had been made and there was no going back now. Hopefully Samael would be able to take over soon and Erenyx could be a place others actually looked pleased to be stumbling across. But would she be leading by his side? He had said she would be nut now he was accusing her of not loving him and speaking of needing space, what the hell did that mean? She once again had to force down waves of agitation and focus on the task at paw. She was ashamed of herself to keep getting distracted in front of this loner, failing at a skill she'd mastered so well. Samael was taking over her brain and she hated it. She needed to focus. She blinked with surprise as the fae obviously noted her stress and asked was she okay. Mentally cursing herself, Tundra shook her head slowly- sad smile gracing her features. She had to stop letting her emotions show. The wolf also glanced at her paw and Tundra stood surer on all four limbs. "I will be honest with you newcomer, mentally I am a complete mess but it is caused by things I am not cruel enough to plague you with. Knowledge can sometimes be dangerous. As for my paw as I saw you glance at it, it was merely a war injury that I set myself up to when I challenged a large brute to fight. War is a part of life but thank you for your consideration." Her words were curt and brisk, face once again smooth and calm- gaze quite empty. She wasn't going to go whining to a newcomer although she'd already told it more than she'd usually tell others until a good few meetings but she was so much more pure than other wolves usually trying to gain entry into Erenyx. They were usually much more like her, bad wolves on the run in search of a place they could fit in. It was sad really. Their meeting had seemed to go quite quick but Tundra couldn't think of anything else to do but accept her, she didn't really have to bother with all of the 'swear to protect this pack with your life' stuff because a wolf either would or would not depending on how they felt, not what they said at the border. But just as she was opening her creamy maw to speak, she thought of something. "out of mere curiosity, Tulie, what are your fighting skills like? I believe from the reaction I got when stating this pack's name that you've heard some stories about us. I'll just say, knowing how to fight will definitely make life easier for you here and I can offer you my assistance. This pack is dominated by brutes and as a fae you will have to work twice as hard to prove yourself. But Teren will be happy enough to have an Autay to care for his pups." Her voice was spoken softly but not kindly, it was merely a precaution in case there was someone else watching. The gaze that rested on this loner was still empty and slightly cold but she had offered to help and that was something Tundra rarely did, why she'd offered she didn't even know.

| Tulie’s smile of warmth remained, completely genuine as she looked to the guardian. She could see the emotions warring within the beautiful white fae, and also the warning, forlorn look that she gave her. The dark whispers circled through Tulie’s head, and she wondered at her logic to even consider entering this dark pack. But when the guardian confirmed that there was indeed a position open for the care of pups, the loner wanted to squeal with joy and gush, but she held back. This was not a time for that and if she was acceptable to be admitted then she would do it later. Right now, the loner’s focus was on the troubled fae before her. She had a sad longing look upon her features at the mention of the soon to be mothers and Tulie noted that she herself was definitely not going to be having pups. She could relate to that sadness. But there was always a next time. Tulie really wanted to put the fae at ease now, to show her a kindness that had obviously been lacking in the female area.
The guardian’s hazel eyes tried to remain hard and cold but they had softened somewhat, then a far away look passed over them as she seemed to be looking at a memory that pained, and angered her. When she shook her head a smile graced her maw, and her stance changed into a surer one that put a bit more weight on the sore paw. Tulie was grateful that the guardian had decided to be honest with her. Not many really would with an outsider. She nodded with understanding at her words and her heart ached to ease the fae’s mental anguish. Perhaps when they became better acquainted she could be a friend that the guardian could talk to, to get whatever was bothering her out in the open without judgment. ”True, war and bloodshed is a part of life and that is all there is to it. No more, no less. One must do what one can to survive, in order to live. But the ones that fight to preserve life live long in the ones that come after. Even in war. We are who we are and cannot change that.’ Tulie hoped that she didn’t sound like a simpering fool when she opened her mouth. If she embarrassed herself now then she probably would seem like a lost cause to this fae and any hope that she may have had for helping this fae would fly away with the leaves in the wind."May I ask your name guardian of Erenyx?" Tulie asked.
The guardian’s voice softened, her tone laced with caution as she asked about her fighting skills. Tulie’s maw opened in surprise at the question but quickly closed. She should have realized that fighting in this pack would be a requirement as well as a safety measure. Her ears laid back and her head lowered more in shame as a flash of memory came to the forefront. She had only taken her wannabe lover by surprise and knew that she had a slim to none chance at a very real battle. Hell she barely even sparred if she could have helped it in her natal pack. ”I’m afraid my fighting skills are not very well. Yes, I have heard some of the rumors of this pack and it’s Alpha. I had not known the Alpha’s name until you spoke it. I normally try to talk things out first rather than fight but I will defend myself if I must. And I'm guessing this will be a must. I would gladly accept your offer of assistance in helping me. I have only really fought once to be honest and that was more of a surprise; to both me and the other.”
Tulie scooted slightly forward to as close the boundary line as she dared without going over or making it seem that she was doing anything that would seem suspicious if someone had been watching and listening. Tulie had followed Tundra’s lead in caution and also softened her voice so that only the guardian could hear. “Since you have been honest from the start with me, I will be honest with you. I give you my loyalty. I can tell you have a good heart, a strong heart that is worth following. And if its not to bold, may I offer my assistance with whatever is troubling you? I do not mind and have a good ear if you need it. Anything we speak of is kept between us and no other unless I have direct permission from you.” Tulie’s voice, though softened, was strong and confident. She knew that a new member had to swear loyalty to the Alpha, but for Tulie, she could tell that the guardian was someone who was worth following more, even if she had to die in her belief. If the guardian lived a long life, she would shine someday, and Tulie hoped to be there to see it if she too lived long.

Let's set fire to our insides, for fun. Tundra's hazel gaze would narrow slightly as the other gave her advice but she made no comment on it, acknowledging the words with a simple curt nod. Her tail tip twitched from its spot above her back and the breeze tugged playfully at the tips of her creamy fur. Silence was all the Guardian had to offer as she waited for the other to speak as it was evident that this Tulie was not yet finished. When she did speak the words she'd been thinking about, Tundra raised a brow subtly. Her name...had it been any other border meeting she'd probably give a warning snap about respect and waiting for the other to offer up their name fist but right now she was just too fed up to care. "Tundra." She would mutter simply, tone listless and hollow. What was a name? Tundra, that was her, her identity but why was this such an important thing to know? One didn't really think deeply, searching for reasons when asking a question as simple as a name but were they in search of an identity of the other that might help them know them better or was it the handiness of having a label to call them by? But what could even be gained from a name? Your parents gave it to you before you were old enough to show any true traits, unless it was going on appearance of course. Shaking herself mentally, she'd drag herself back to the present and flick her ears attentively in the direction of the earthen coloured fae. This time the female spoke of her skills in the fighting area and as Tundra suspected, they were slim. What it was that intrigued her to help this loner she did not know. Usually she did not care but something about the purity this being held within her...Tundra wanted to protect it. She didn't want it stolen away by others in this pack. She wanted to toughen this softer being up but not completely erase that soft center that kept her different from the others like a little flame of hope. She just wanted to help her build a strong hard surface around it to protect it from others. "I will help teach you the skills of fighting and protecting yourself within these lands. Life is not easy here, and as a fae it is even tougher. This pack is dominated by males who think they have better rights over females and you need to be able to look out for yourself. I rarely consider taking on an apprentice so we'll see how it goes...if I like you I'll train you, if not you better learn how to fend for yourself pretty quickly." A slightly colder chuckle would hop from her creamy maw, some bitterness managing to leak in. She did not offer help lightly and wanted that to be known, as 'softer' as Samael had seemed to make her, she was still nothing near a good wolf and was growing sick of others thinking she was. It wasn't the she took pride in the way she was it was just, if others starting believing you were something that you weren't, what exactly did that make you? She wondered idly what it was that had caused this fae to fight that one time but she wasn't too curious about it and it was quick to flee her mind as Tulie scooted closer to the border line. Tundra's hazel gaze would narrow slightly, lip curling back only slightly in warning as she regained some of her certainty and straightened her posture completely- gaze flinty. However the loner did stick to her own side so Tundra went no further into the subject, not even bothering to speak aloud unless she dared try and cross without being invited. Tundra stiffened ever so slightly at the others words, and her tongue ran thoughtfully over pearly white fangs. Eyes were further narrowed with suspicion and ears were twitching atop her skull. "I'll take your word loner for if you go against it, it's you that suffers not me." Her lip would curl back then, eye's glittering dangerously as her voice dropped to a soft warning growl. "But don't think for one second that my heart is good, you're too quick to judge. I may not be as loud and commanding as the other morons here but that's simply intelligence. I would have no problem with killing you the second you turned your back if I had reason to, I just don't go around broadcasting it like the others. I don't mind you Tulie, you seem decent enough but don't think me a good wolf, you'll only end up disappointed." Her voice was low and cold before she straightened- smirk playing along her lips. "If I were you I'd try to stay as far away from my problems as you can, they won't do you any good. Now, I accept you Autay Tulie. I'm off to do my own things now so don't try following me but the main pack clearing will be easy enough to find if you have a nose that works. Pick a den and whatever, get to know the place I don't care but I'll come find you one of these mornings and see what I can do with your fighting ability." With that she nodded and turned, departing through the vegetation without glancing back. | You're accepted! Sorry for the wait. Please change your name to 'Autay Tulie' and request to join the Erenyx group under the 'Ranks' tab at the top of the page. You may reply to this but it is not necessary. |

| Tundra. Her name was spoken as if she were gritting her teeth together. Tulie casually observed the gorgeous fae before her and wondered why she was so irritable. when Tundra told young female wolf about the males in their pack, the earthen colored fae let a look of relief overcome the look of shock when she heard what the males opinions where and her offer of a teacher. What had she gotten herself into coming here? This would definitely be the place to harden herself. She nodded her head with acknowledgement as the guardian explained about Tulie's new pack, her new home in hell.
Tulie gave a sharp nod that she understood the higher ranked fae, she would learn and learn as fast and as carefully as she could under the watchful eye of the winter colored fae. Tundra didn't care to hear that her heart was good. She gave a soft warning growl warning her that her own heart was not good and that Tulie was too quick to judge. Not entirely, my dear guardian. You cling to tightly to something, refusing to let yourself to truly see you. But you will, someday and with clarity you will be strong. Tulie watched as the white fae turned around and disappeared into the evergreen forest, her tail swishing in her wake to vanish amongst the shadows. She stood there looking after her, thinking and hoping, wondering. Someday the guardian would clear her aura, she just had to want it. Tulie looked back in the direction of her pack, her past she would leave here at the border. Then she turned back to face the lands before her. Taking a deep breath, the new autay stepped into a land covered in blood, violence, and horror. Will she last, this sweet pure fae? Time will tell if she remains pure for long and looses herself, or fights to keep what she has and push herself. |
