Soft paws sank into the even softer sand. Warm, pleasant sun rested on her silver back and the sand was a perfect, enjoyable warmth beneath her. The sun was beginning to sink into the blue waters, sending magnificent orange rays across the ocean all the way to where she stood on the millions of tiny grains. It had been a surprisingly hot day despite the season change but she didn't mind, there would only be a few of these left before it got too deep into Autumn and eventually Winter. She breathed in the fresh smell of salt, water and air and felt a content sigh leave her. Even during Autumn, dusk was always the best time to be out- especially if you intended on going down to the beach. The sand was too hot around the midday time even now since Autumn was only just arriving, burning at your pads and there was no cover from the heat. Yet at this time there was a calm breeze and everything was just warm and perfect. It was beautiful too, the sky a brilliant mixture of reds, oranges, pinks and even a little bit of purple. Her gaze seemed to dance as if it were on fire as she watched the magnificent sunset, smile gracing her features. Ever since she'd found her sister's pack, Lark had been happy. Sure she would have preferred to be able to spend more time with her sis but she understood that being Alphess made Quinn busy, sure of course she understood- she had held the same position a while ago before that damn bitch murdered her mate, the alpha, and framed Lark for it. Claws sank too easily into the soft terrain beneath her and she grit her teeth with frustration. Lark was a very pleasant wolf, always trying to see the best in others and just wanting to joke around- a little childish maybe, but always meaning good. But her former Beta...she would never forgive that wolf.

Turning away, she broke into a run along the shore- muscles straining as she pushed herself as fast as she could go. She needed to burn some energy and this was the best way to do it. Eventually she slowed slightly and veered to the right until she was splashing through waters- small waves coming in and splashing at her stomach fur. A few small droplets managed to find their way into her mouth and she stuck out her tongue with disgust at the awful taste. Yet she did not falter and continued on forwards until she was using her paws to push her way through the waters, the ground no longer within reach. She could feel the burn already but kept going- swimming straight into the sunset. Her eyes shone as she kept her head above the waters and laughed. Laughed at the beauty of life and how easily it could be robbed away. Here she was, witnessing something beautiful that made life worth living but one little mistake and she'd drown and die. Funny, wasn't it? Finally she would turn and begin to pull herself to the shore as her physical energy began to leak away, she should be getting back soon. She would not want Quinn worrying if she couldn't find her, her sister had been through too much loss in her life already. At least she had a mate and pups now, it made Lark happy but a little sad too. That so easily could have been her with her own mate had he not been killed because of someone's thirst for power. Now she was alone. Well, not completely alone, she had her sister now, right? Sighing, she finally felt her paws hit firm ground and stumbled slightly before regaining her footing and wading towards the shore.

The smell of salt was heavy in the air, it's scent burning the brown and grey males nose. He knew he was getting closer to the Ocean. The terrain was rocky and loose with sand, making it a hard time for the brute to find his footing. He often slipped or almost lost his balance, but that did not hinder him. The wolf was drawn in by the roar of waves clashing up against rocks– slowly eroding them away and into tiny bits of sand. But it was also the soft sounds of the ocean lapping at the sandy shore below that drew him in. It was never clear to Keoni as to why he was always attracted to water, he loved swimming and you could often find him near water or some place sucluded. Although Keoni was a wolf– naturally a social animal he often stayed secluded, daydreaming or exploring his environment. This was a perk, but also a downfall. His curiosity and his thirst for knowledge could get him killed, but also help him in different situations. Him being alone most of the time sometimes hindered his social skills and making him a bit socially awkward. It was tough for him to make friends because of this. However, the colored wolf was a polite gentleman despite his upbringing. These facts maked Keo an outcast in many packs. The only pack he truly felt at home was his mates pack where Keo and his younger sister resided. But that was before his tiny pack was whipped out, leaving him to heal his mental, physical, and emotional wounds that still scar him to this day.

It is hard to not remember. There are times in our liives when we just don't want to remember and it seems you remember the worst times of your life rather than the best times of your life. Already Keo was forgetting, but was that a good or bad thing? The image of his mate and sister fading didn't exactly sit well with the brute. Not wanting to open the locked door in Keoni's mind he let out a loud sigh and paid more attention to where he was going and the scenery. It seemed he came just in time to see the sun set. What a wonderful sight to see. Colors from the many ranges of orange, pink, red, and blue painted the sky. The ocean added its magnificence by its roaring waves and glittering surface. A real smile graced Keoni's inky lips as the breeze tugged at his fur, weaving it's gentle touch through the individual hairs that covered his body. Seagulls sang above as they flew home on the winds gentle touch.

He sat on one of the many cliffs, eyes closed as he enjoyed the many sensations. He was dozing slightly until the sound of splashing and laughter tracked his ears. Instantly he grew alert, his eyes snapped open and looked down to watch a silvery wolf swim in the ocean. She must be bold to swim in such dangerous waters. Although Keo liked swimming he avoided violent waters. But the wolf seemed to be enjoying herself. Keoni could not tell if she was from his pack, Agavos or from Erenyx or Helidos. Hopefully she was no Erenyx wolf. Getting up and stretching out his cramped muscles Keo thought it to be kind and introduce himself. Slowly he walked down the cliff side, carefully picking where to place his steps so he didn't plummet to his death. At the end the brute bunched his muscles and jumped down onto the sandy beach. By the time he was on the ground the silvery fea was walking out of the water, dripping wet. He cautiously walked towards her, hoping he didn't look aggressive or portrayed any negative emotions. "Enjoy your swim?" He spoke and gave her an easygoing smile. His eyes shined with kindness and darkened with the spark of adventure. His smoldering amber eyes watched her as he waited for a response.
