A bit of sunlight hit were shining making the snow light up even more. The snowflakes that fell from the sky were big and rather thick as landed in the sandy colored fur that belonged to Julianne who were walking steadily heading for the borderline that she could smell somewhere in front of her. She had watched how her sister got into a pack the other day and Juliane had concluded that it would be a good time to join a new pack. A strong pack of course, she did not wish to end up in a weak pack like her former one. When she thought about it she also hoped it would have pups soon, the only rank she knew were autay and she hoped that a new pack would be in need of such a rank. The snow did not help her with making sure that she did not pass the line, if she first cross the line it would be a lot harder for her to earn a place in the pack. She smelled the air, the smell may seem unpleasant to some, but not her. She still had the taste of her former pack in her mouth, so the smell in there only added fuel to the fire that burned within her. She stood still for a moment since her body still ached if she moved too fast far too long but she kept on pushing her limit every day. She sat down just inches away from the line, making sure that she do not cross it. It would not be a very good thing to cross the line when she wished to join the pack who called this place home. She howled a long and clean tone. She stood still waiting for someone to come and hear her out.

Soft hums would leak from his maw as he made his way through the snowy lands at an easy pace. He was happy to know that he had a secure place waiting for him in Agavos as Desmond's Guardian should his plan to overthrow Teren fail. Birds twittered merrily high above as weak sunlight filtered down from the sky and bathed the freshly fallen snow as it sparkled magnificently. He squinted out over it, momentarily blinded by the sheer amount of sparkling white. However after a few moments of continuous blinking- he was able to continue on. A few flakes would fall every now and again but it seemed like they would be free from any heavy snowfalls for a little while at least for the sky was clear and blue. He trotted along, even daring to hum along with the bird's songs. Life was good, he needed to meet up with Banshee again at some point and discuss taking down Teren. As much as he wished to do it alone, he had promised to let her join in on some of the fun.

His large paws helped carry him through the blanket of snow with ease as he moved at a quick pace. He fantasized over the thought of his fangs sinking into his brother's neck and spilling his crimson blood out over the white snow. Of course it might not be Winter, he needed time to plan and Spring was already starting to become visible- if it wasn't in the telltale swells of certain fae's stomachs then it was the more and more little green sprouts becoming visible through certain parts of snow. But still, blood on white was a nice effect so he continued to daydream about it. He had originally decided to leave to hunt but a howl from not too far off was the thing to distract him. He would freeze, lifting his large head and flicking his ears curiously. He seemed to be nearest so he decided to take this one. May as well do some last duties for his brother before he either killed the alpha or left for Agavos to serve another.

He changed course slightly to accompany the howl and broke into a run. His long, strong legs brought him forward at a quick pace and he enjoyed the feel of the icy wind tearing through his thick black pelt. Finally the scent of the borders and with it, a newcomer, got nearer and so he slowed. His nose twitched as he pinpointed the wolf and he sauntered out of the cover of the trees to the edge of the border lazily. His silver gaze moved over the form of a fae and he smiled lazily, eye's glittering in the sunlight. "Well, well, well, a newcomer decides to dare call on an Erenyx wolf. It has been a while." Chuckling, he would step forward. It took only a couple of large strides to cross the border and stand before her. His tail hung loosely over his back as he loomed over the smaller form- looking down at her. She looked a little battered but didn't most loners these days. "Who are you, fae and where do you come from? And of course the most obvious question of all- what do you want with my brother's pack?" He watched her intently, gaze bearing into her boldly as he grinned hugely- sun glinting off his yellow fangs. "You're lucky, I'm in a good mood today so I'll give you my name. I am Caspian, Delta of this pack and brother to the feared Alpha Teren. But don't ruin this good mood by taking too long and wasting my time fae, it won't be good for you." The last few words were sharp and eyes narrowed briefly before the sly grin was slipped back into place as he seemed to click back from aggressive to lazy in seconds. His head tilted as he watched her and awaited a reply. Did she know anything about Erenyx and what exactly she was getting herself into?

Julianna looked at the male in front of her. Her blue eyes met his gaze as she spoke loud and clear “ my name is Julianna and I wish to join this pack as I slaughtered my old weak pack some time ago. My pack lived a place with little prey and other bigger predators. Pups were born nearly blind were forced to stay alive. I chose to put a pup like that out of his miseries, the rest of the pack. Who consisted of me a beta female, one elder, an alpha and two hunters, the omega that were in the pack I killed earlier. ” she told him this in her normal every day tone but she could not help but to let a bit of pride shine through. “ in my old pack I served as an autay but whatever rank there is available will do fine if I am accepted into the pack. I can hunt and kill, I’m loyal to those who deserves it ” she held nothing back. A cold laughter escaped her mouth as his fangs showed in the sunlight” If I wished to simply use your time, trust me I would have chosen a better way to do it ” she snarled lightly as she watched him.

He raised a brow and let out a dramatic, theatrical sigh as she let her gaze meet his. Loners never learned did they? He held his tongue as she spoke but lashed his tail high and curled his upper lip in dominance- soft growl slipping through the now visible and bared yellowed fangs. A soft yet strangely dangerous chuckle would escape him as she mentioned slaughtering her old pack. How cute... was all that flashed across his bored brain as he tilted his head to the side. She was only a mere female after all, begging to be accepted into this brutal pack with her own stereotypical 'Erenyx story' after all. In his life Caspian had only ever came to respect two females. And neither actually came from Erenyx, Warrior Banshee of Helidos and Beta Fel of Agavos. Although Fel had been in Erenyx for some time, but she'd been in Helidos before that too. He looked forward to sharing a pack with the brutish fae- she was an interesting ally. Anyway, back to this fae. An autay...suitable rank for a female he supposed. Also Teren would like that with his fae's having pups soon enough. He wondered idly how many of these pups would survive, Teren would probably make them all fight to the death again like he had last Spring. So many worthless deaths that day...such a shame. Hopefully he'd have the demon dead by then. He smiled faintly as she spoke, laughing and then snarling. What a cheeky one, he should just toss her at Teren now and see how it goes for her. Sighing heavily he would stretch out. "Why must you new wolves be so thick? Can I not find one sensible wolf that can be accepted without having to go through all this?" He would shake his head slowly and let out a heavy sigh, mock sadness flashing in his silver gaze as he took a step forward so that his hot breath ruffled her fur. He would crouch down so that he was level to her and stare right back at her, dangerous smile playing along his black lips.

"You see, little fae. Julianne is it? Well, an Autay would be handy with Spring coming and all but I don't know about your old 'weak' pack but here in Erenyx we demand this little thing called respect!" His voice had started off as a soft whisper but had built up until the last word where he snarled out the 'respect'. He snapped his jaws shut as close to her ear as she would allow him to get which should be as close as he wanted because she had no permission to move and if she wanted to have any chance to get into this pack then moving against his will was unwise unless in a life or death situation. Because then only a fool wouldn't move. "Now little fae, I could just kill you right here if I decided I didn't like you. And don't get all mighty and fierce and start going on about how you killed your old pack I don't care. I am larger and probably more skilled than you, I come from a family of rulers and my bloodline is strong. Wait until you see my brothers. Anyway, that's not the important part. The thing is, I could just kill you right here and no one would know. From the sounds of it you're not too liked so who is there to care? I could just kill you and bring you back for the new pups to feast on so at least you'd be fulfilling some job at looking after them. Or you can act how a lowly loner is supposed to act in the presence of a superior and get accepted as something higher than Omega. I can tell you now, you might think your little acts makes you look 'brave' but our Alpha does not take kindly to wolves who don't show proper respect so don't you dare meet my gaze like that and by all means you do NOT snarl at me for I like any wolf will take that as a challenge and I don't mind decorating my den with your pretty little pelt to keep me warm for the rest of Winter. Now, why don't you show me that you can behave and submit properly and show me respect...then maybe we can get back to discussing you joining this lovely pack of ours." His speech had been angry and growled out with the occasional full on snarl at parts that should be emphasized but now his lazy smile was back in place as he stepped back and leaned on his haunches. He couldn't wait to either take over this pack of fools or at least leave to serve an alpha that actually deserved some respect and hopefully, just hopefully, Agavos wasn't as despairing as here.

Julianna stood there as she felt his jaw centimeters away from her ear; she lifted her gaze so that she looked just above him a slight chuckle escaping her mouth at his words. “ Well if you have not wish of me joining your pack, then there wouldn’t be any problem with killing me would there? ” she did not fear a fight nor did she fear death. Death had been a lifelong friend in her life, if the prey was smaller than normal the alpha’s would eat first, sometimes they would let some meat be left over and fighting had occurred when there wasn’t much prey to be found. “ as far as I know respect should be for those who earns it. Not for those that demands it. A superior should not demand respect simply because he or she is superior, they should earn it even if they are simply talking to a wolf with no pack and no rank! ” she could not help but spit ‘superior’ out with venom. Superiors did not help others very often and they did only think about themselves most of the time if they were not the complete opposite and instead they thought about the pack before themselves. Julianne could not stand both of those types. There should be a fine line between thinking about what was best for the pack and what was best for yourself. Coming here to join a pack had seemed like a thing that would be best for her, even though here she stood in front of a male talking about respect. She huffed lightly before she tried her best to pose like she should, she had never been good at it and it had often caused her problems with the alpha, but of course because of her mother being the beta they didn’t dare to touch her. She looked at the male in front of her, he was not afraid to hurt her or even kill her if he wanted to.

Even if I’m lucky enough to earn your acceptance into the pack, as an omega or autay or whatever rank I could be lucky enough to get, even as a meal to the pups I would still have my own respect. As a lone wolf, that is all you got, so yes lone wolves has a thick skull when it comes to being respectful as you say, because all we got is our own self-respect. However, if you think me unworthy tell me straight away and I fight to prove you wrong! ” She spat the word respectful out, she had seen how her half-sister would nearly lay with her stomach up when she got accepted into her pack, but Julianne would never do such she had vowed that to herself many times. * a real wolf die fighting * the words she told Toby flew through her mind like the fresh wind flew around her. She looked underneath the male in front of her this time waiting for whatever he would say.

His head would tilt to the side, smile gracing his features. In his eyes this was definitely a lesser being, and he did not mean in terms of rank. His respect was gained not by this sort of ignorant defiance, he respected intelligence, sly little words and actions. This was pure stupidity coming from a wolf who thought she ran the place. Damn faes. If she was going to try and prove her worth she was going about it all wrong. He sighed at the rude words spraying from her maw, her effort to lace them with as much venom as possible being painfully obvious. Did she know anything about stealth? "I'm not going to kill you little fae, it has now became obvious that by doing that I'd only be doing you a favor. A wolf doesn't simply become superior, they need to earn it. They show the wolves who have already earned it respect and one day if you play your cards right you can be chosen to be one and then you demand respect. Why should I earn respect from you? My rank proves that in this pack I have done enough to earn respect and should now be given it without question. Before I was a high rank I gave respect to those higher than me and then they decided I was a worthy enough wolf of being given a high rank and deserved the respect I gave." He spoke in a soothing voice, the same voice one would speak in when lecturing a confused pup about what was right and what was wrong. The smile still lingered as he continued in the same silky voice. "Now, I am offended by your obvious disgust at me. What did I do wrong but do what I have to right to do?" He asked, sadness and innocence joining his slightly mocking tone. Still treating her like a lost little puppy. "Ah I guess you said your pack was weak so maybe you don't understand how a proper pack works. Of course, poor little wolfy let me explain it a bit clearer for you. When a loner arrives at the border they are met by a wolf of high ranking. This wolf has been in their pack for a long time and has gained the alpha's respect and trust by being a respectful and dedicated wolf. They give them a high rank as a type of prize you could say for giving such good respect. So now they have the right to earn the respect they gave. I still must show respect to those of ranks higher than me dear, I give my alphas, Elite's and beta's my full respect and one day I might be promoted higher again. The only wolf that needs to give no respect is the alpha himself. So as a loner or omega, you give everyone respect until you prove yourself worthy and respectful enough to gain a proper rank. You then can demand respect from loners or omegas but still must give respect to those higher than you and then if the alpha likes you, you get promoted. It's pretty simple really." His smile broadened as he sat back, fully at ease and chuckling softly.

"Anyway, I haven't come here to fight you- I've come to either accept you or turn you away. To get accepted you be respectful to the one who has come to greet you and tell them a bit about yourself and what you can offer them. The fighting and proving yourself can be done if the alpha or another high ranked wolf asks you to spar. That type of behavior at the border is not accepted in most real packs. Now if you hate this little respect thing so much I recommend Helidos over there, Erenyx might be a little tough for you. They all see each other as equals and a big family and all that stupid stuff. They'll greet you with a hug at the border if you'd prefer that. But in real packs that are not weak, you show respect to those who have gained rights to it. Now, would you like to start again or hop over to Helidos and sing songs and play little games?" He was enjoying this immensely. However he knew boredom would soon creep in for it was no fun playing with those who did not have the ability to be a challenge. She sure thought she was, picking fights and trying to look brave but that wasn't in any way worthy of respect to him. In fact she just looked like a desperate fool, trying to fit in and failing miserably. He sighed and shook his head. It would be amusing to see how she got on in this pack. He knew his brothers, even Teren, were clever little snakes and so were a lot of the high ranked wolves here. He'd aquatinted himself with a few wolves that had minds worthy of respect. Surprisingly two had been faes but it seemed some could be respected. Fel, Banshee and the brute Desmond. He brought himself back to reality, staring down at the much smaller fae lazily, no longer bothered by her all that much for soon he'd either be alpha and he could do whatever he wished to her or he'd be serving Desmond and wouldn't have to care about desperate little Erenyx wolves.

Julianne looked at him, he was right. In her small weak pack there were no thing called respect. She bowed her head in defeat "I have no wish to join Helidos. I wish to join Erenyx and respect those that rank above me" she said while her head still was bowed. She had to learn to respect those above her, she never knew what is what before, but the way he described how it worked she was sure that she could learn to respect those above her. She had to learn it, there were no way that she would join Helidos, she had no interest in that pack what so ever. "You already know of my story, so I assume that it would be a waste of time to repeat that " she said while she looked at the tree behind him, remembering that looking wolves in the eyes were a bad idea *this is going to be hard, but I want to learn to respect those above me. I have to* she thought as she kept herself from looking him in the eyes.

PostSubject: Re: Rest or stay? (Border post) Rest or stay? (Border post) Icon_minitimeFebruary 22nd 2016, 05:30

Finally the loner before him made her first clever decision that day, she backed down. He smiled broadly, nodding with approval as she spoke. Her head was bowed and she agreed to respect those ranked above her. Perfect! Had he any caring as to what his brother thought of him he would be very proud to have broken in a feisty loner for him but since he did not- he was merely happy for himself. Many days of wandering with aimless boredom had made him quick to accomplish something, even if it was just teaching a loner a thing or two about respect. Still smiling, he would stand in one fluid movement and his long ashen tail would hold itself high and proud over his back as he stared down at the smaller wolf. A few moments of silence would pass as his calculating gaze properly looked her over- taking note of a nasty looking scar above one eye but not bothering to ask as he wished to waste no more time here. Finally he would shift his weight in the cold snow and clear his throat before speaking again. "Good girl, see? That wasn't too hard was it?" Chuckling softly, his eyes would narrow slightly once his laugh died down and his expression would turn more serious as he thought to himself. "Well, Julianne isn't it? I am going to rank you as an omega for the time being to give you time to learn everything you need to know about pack life and respect- once you've fully proven yourself you'll be promoted to the rank of Autay. Even as Omega you will still be allowed help care for the pups that arrive in the coming Spring you just won't have as much power and if another Autay joins before then they'll be in charge. You may now step across the border as a wolf of Erenyx. I wish you luck...things can be a bit more difficult for faes here, my brother doesn't exactly love those of your gender." Chuckling he'd turn and begin to make his way back through the bare vegetation, pushing through thin branches that would soon be budding with lush life as Spring approached quickly. He'd stop once more and glance back over his shoulder at the wolf. "I am going back to the pack's main clearing so you can chose to either follow me or explore the other territories yourself." His voice was curt and clipped as he simply nodded before bounding off.

| You are accepted! Please change your name to 'Omega Julianne' and request to join the Erenyx group under the "Ranks" tab at the top of the page. Remember this rank is only temporary and can be changed once your wolf proves to be worthy of the rank originally requested. You may reply to this but it is not necessary. |

Julianne smiled to herself *an omega, it will do for the time being. I will earn their respect and show them how good I can be * she thought to herself. She stepped across the line and entered the pack that would now be known as her pack *Erenyx here I come* she couldn't help but think as she walked a bit behind the wolf as she started her new life in a pack. She walked into the pack-clearing taking in everything. After some time she walked off to explore the rest of the territory that belonged to her pack. She walked slowly through the pack-clearing as she made her way to the forest that would lead her to the rest of the pack’s territory. She felt at home in this area already, which were a bit strange. She had gotten a bit of trouble from the male that accepted her into the pack. Perhaps the lands felt like home and not the pack. Well not in this moment, but she was sure that once she had some day she would also feel comfortable in the pack.
