| With everything that had happened within the pack, all the changes, the war, and even the changing of seasons - Kida had been very busy. With it now being spring, she needed to gather herbs, collecting all the ones she was not able to collect when she was just an adolescent puppy. Now she was a year old and ready to go out on her own. But she wanted to be better at healing and knowing what herbs did what exactly. The young wolf knew exactly where she needed to go. She had heard there was a new healer, a female. After her last mentor was killed in the war, she wanted to make sure that she could learn everything she could. For next year, she would be a full fledged healer. She was very excited for this and knew that she needed to learn so much more. She knew the pack would depend on her and other wolves who were good at healing. She made her way from the family den and wandered towards the Healer's den. She called out, at the entrance, as loud as she could without being rude. "Hello, Miss Xora, are you here?" As she waited, she rested her rump on the ground, curling her tail around her paws. She often thought of her brother, but there was time she needed to move on and live her own life. She would keep the other wolves safe as she possibly could. Nobody else was going to die or go missing. |

| Xora had made the decision early that morning that she would stay in the den and organize. She was often OCD with things such as this. From her trip to the land full of Lavender, Xora had lined the den strategically and now it had such a calming scent that she didn't want to leave. Until she heard a wolf calling her name, Xora moved towards the entrance and looked out at the younger female. She looked like she still wasn't old enough for a rank, "I'm here, can I help you?" she spoke calm as she looked over the form of the wolf. Searching for any obvious signs of injury. A limp, scrapes, bruising, or anything else. Nothing. What had this wolf wanted, "Come in," she moved to the side and allowed the female to come in. Maybe she had finally come for what Xora had expected would happen, maybe she wanted an Mentor and Xora could finally have an Apprentice. She smiled, that actually sounded nice to her, having a wolf learning about herbs from her. Just like Crow, except this was within' the pack. This one would be for sure, allowed by the pack. She allowed the wolf to speak first, before jumping to conclusions. |

| A voice called out from the den. She bowed her head respectfully and stepped inside. "Yes Miss Xora, my name is Kida - Daughter of Drogo and Nnlya... I have come to seek you so that I could maybe ask you something really important?" She moved inside and looked around to see the fae in question. She could see that the Healer's den had been full of herbs and the like, things to help those in need. She smiled as she looked around in amazement. Her amber eyes found the figure of the wolf before her. "I have come to ask for you to mentor me. I know you are new to the lands, but I hear you are skilled in the craft of healing. I want nothing more than to help others in our pack, and maybe someday... We can help others in their packs. It has always been a thought of mine... but I mean... it could happen, if we try real hard. Maybe we could form a sort of pact or something? Who knows..." She smiled to the wolf before her. "Will you please be my mentor? I will work very hard to learn everything I can, and I will do anything you ask of me. I already have been picking a small collection of herbs I have found in the surrounding areas. I just really want to help..." |

| Xora listened as the yearling entered and introduced herself as Kida, daughter of Drogo and Nnlya. Xora remembered those names, Drogo had accepted her at the border. That was an embarrassing moment and she was very pathetic. Although Xora wasn't used to the snow it was still her fault for traveling North. Then she thought of the other name, Nnlya. She was the wolf who stood at the front of the meeting where the older white wolf spoke of their leaders death. Although Xora had just joined at that moment and had no idea who this past Alpha was, she still went to the meeting as she was expected. Then Kida had said another thing that caught her attention. She had something important to discuss... right away Xora was curious, yet the young wolf quit talking for a second and looked around the den. What was so important that she came to Xora for? After all Xora just joined and she still doesn't know much about this pack, she can't trust this pack yet. Maybe that was it? Maybe she knew that Xora was new so she wanted to try and get her to do something frowned upon in the pack. Xora mentally shrugged that away and said two simple words, "Go on." It was soft, yet a sort of command. She didn't want to seem to curious and she didn't want to be commanding and be tattled on by the Apprentice to her parents. Especially since she knew they were important in the pack.
Xora then allowed her thoughts to be cut off by Kida speaking. Ah, so she wants a Mentor. That is why she came to me. Xora thought as she continued on speaking. She took mental note of what she said as she said it and thought for a minute about what this would mean. Word was getting around about her being a skilled Healer so what if she denied an Apprentice. No. She needed an Apprentice. Somebody to keep her busy and allow her to share information. She may even learn from her Apprentice about what this pack is like. She needs it. Xora nodded as she thought about it and listened to Kida talk. "Well, Kida, you seem very dedicated to the art of healing and you are very kind and respectful. I do see potential in you for those reasons, those characteristics are what makes the best learner. So I will accept you as my Apprentice, I just need to know what you expect of me?" she paused and waited for the young grey wolf's reaction to getting a Mentor. It was true that Xora was skilled in healing, although nobody really trusted her with Apprentices. The closest she got to actually mentoring was when she had wolves come to her for help. But it wasn't like she was personally training them, they just wanted small knowledge of herbs. She thought of the places that she has explored so far and remembered a place with many herbs. Maybe that was the best place to start teaching an Apprentice. She would start thinking of a plan for training, but first she wanted to hear Kida's thoughts on this, what did she expect? Would she want Xora to teach her how to fight and hunt too? Then she would just embarrass herself. She was useful for one thing and one thing only, healing. |
