Wake Up Call [Open!] Empty
PostSubject: Wake Up Call [Open!] Wake Up Call [Open!] Icon_minitimeApril 17th 2016, 19:19

White fur danced in front of his eyes. Darling blue eyes blinking in his direction, she was there standing before him. That silly smile on her face, her body arched in a play bow. A playful look of 'catch me if you can', written across her gentle face. It was just as he remembered her, so real. Laughing, he pounced towards her, only for the fae to jump away. A wicked gleam in her eyes she took off, urging him to chase her. So he did, tarring after her on his gangly limbs. His tongue lolling from the side of his mouth, amber oculars flashing in the sun. She pranced ahead, unworried about him gaining on her. Her blazing white fur dancing as she pranced though a field of flowers, petals showering down around them as they ran. Nearly catching up, Teeku pushed his limbs harder and harder until at last he reached her, his teeth gripping the tip of her tail. Then BAM! It was all gone, the sun, the flowers, their surroundings. It melted away, until she lay before him lifelessly. Her white body emaciated, crumpled upon the ground. Blood soaking her white pelt, bleeding out into the earth around it. " Rose! No!" He whimpered. What had happened!? Moments ago she'd been fine....

Teeku woke with a start, his chest heaving heavily. His deep amber eyes flying open, paws shifting against the ground. Panting, he realized it had only been a nightmare. Yet somehow that was no comfort at all. Rose was still dead, gone, never to be seen again. And he was still alone. Sighing softly, Teeku tries to calm himself. His chest hurt from heaving air and his muscles felt sore. Huffing, he slowly puts his paws under himself shoving himself into a sitting position he shakes dirt from his course pelt. It was chilly within his den, dimly lit. He could tell it must only be the wee hours of the morning. Knowing he wouldn't be getting anymore sleep for the rest of the day, Teeku exited his den. Glancing around the clearing, he found it empty. Unsurprised he slowly ambled out of camp, having no real purpose as to where he was going. Just knowing he had to get away.

The heart of Helidos was often a trigger for Teeku. It had been where Rose had spent a lot of her time. Where he had received the rank of Warrior from his ivory friend. Where he'd first felt he truly belonged somewhere. All because of her, but now she was gone. And though he'd being doing better since his chat with a friendly Autay from Erenyx of all places, Teeku was still struggling. Struggling to put some sort of meaning back in his life. To feel the same way he had about living. Traveling swiftly, the lanky brute allowed himself to exit the safety of Helido's borders. Wandering into the territories dubbed neutral by the packs. He'd been there before, on different occasions. But never had he wandered quite as far. By mid afternoon the brute had reached the base of a treacherous looking mountain. It towered before him, the top shrouded in fog. It's many peaks and cliffs a glory to behold. Normally, Teeku would of avoided such a place. It was dangerous for one, predators lurking around every corner. The sort of place better admired from a distance than up close and personal. Lately however Teeku hadn't been his rational self. Heck he'd let an Erenyx stroll right up to him without so much as bracing himself. Lucky for him she'd been a rare flicker of good within a pack full of monsters. Not only letting him keep his life, but giving him a much needed release for the feelings he'd been bottling up. If she could only see me now... He thought. She'd say I was being irrational and that Rose wouldn't want me to act in such a manner. Perhaps if she was there Teeku might of listened. No one was though, that was his problem. He couldn't rely upon an autay from another pack to bring him peace of mind. No Teeku needed help from those closer to home. That was if he was to ever heal his broken heart.

A ghostly white wolf would be found to already be present among the treacherous terrain of the Isle De Muerto. Calm and steady was this wolf's demeanor as it was always as he watched the other approach from his vantage point upon rocky outcropping atop a small cliff. Storm grey eyes would trace the Helidos warrior as he moved about, taking in his features.

Tempest was quite comfortable remaining in his current vantage point unseen, and there was little chance the other would scent him given the wind. Eventually however, the other was close enough below to hear him if he moved, and it then that he did move, the unmistakable scrape of claws on bare stone heard from above as the Erenyx warrior descended down from the cliff to face the other.

The other was most definitely larger than Tempest, by at least 7cm in height, but he seemed to be younger than the ivory wolf either way. Now face to face with the other wolf at a comfortable distance, Tempest's ears would perk up, swiveled towards the other. It would be easy to note a chunk missing out of the tip of Tempest's left ear, perhaps indicating at least some experience in fighting.

Tempest did not come here to fight however, at least he did not view it as necessary at the current moment. Tilting his head ever so slightly, as if to portray a sense of curiosity despite his placid expression Tempest spoke, "Of what pack are you?" he asked. Tempest was new to these lands so it would be useful to match the scent of this wolf to one of the rivaling packs he had heard talk of within his own pack.

Begrudgingly traveling throughout the rough wear and tear of the sinister land known as Isle De Muerto, the young Omega creeped along the sides of the rocky walls humming a small tune. Large paws thrummed loudly against the rugged surface kicking up dust and causing tiny pebbles to tumble to there doom, emerald eyes were focused on the road ahead as gangly legs carried him long ways from his new found home. He had learned in a short amount of time that there was more to Erenyx than what met the eye, they valued power, strength, courage, and aggression and overall what truly makes a wolf. But those who were selfish enough and so empty minded could not see that, they simply choose to look through the truth. Soon they would thank Erenyx for showing them what a true pack of wolves are like, and if not soon then one day. The demon king had it all cut out for everyone within his lands, and they certainly were not a perfect cookie cutter family. Although he had been given the rank of Omega, a seer rank that represented the meaning of less than or worthless. Faust was proud. That day at the border truly had been an interesting one, and he surely wouldn't forget about it any time soon.

Snaking around the large rocks that held the Isle together the scarred faced brute began to make his way down the cliff, the descent was quiet rough one that contained him desperately grasping onto jagged rocks or digging his claws into the ground just to prevent himself from plummeting to the ground. But in the end it was all worth it. As the ragged eared mutt reached his destination gazing out upon the clearing ahead, specks seemed to dance within his vision causing the young brute to squint a bit blinking back the black spots that speckled his vision. Once clear of all spots the sooten colored brute continued on, pressing back into the shadows only to freeze at the sound of a voice. A wicked smile seemed to twist and turn upon the ragged eared mutts maw as he pushed his body deeper into the shadows as he watched the two from afar, the ghostly figure of a white male obviously older than himself was the closet but as the young Omega moved to the side a bit he caught a glimpse of another speck darkened fur making it easier to see him.

Perhaps he could have a bit of fun with this, and give the raven colored brute a scare. Yes that sounded delightful, quieting his sultry tune the large male began to snake around the corners of the cliff hoping to close in behind the other male. The shadows provided enough coverage for him, making it semi-hard to see his lanky figure as he pushed through them. His plan seemed to work as he ended up behind the raven colored chest heaving male, a wicked smile dancing upon his lips as he stepped from the shadows. Emerald eyes gleaming mischievously as Faust stared at the male, his foreign scent wreaked causing the younger brute to scrunch his nose up in discomfort. Trying his best to push past the rancid scent the ragged eared brute spoke, raspy voice booming across the lands "It's a bit dangerous to be straying so far from home, don't you think?" Faust's eyebrows scrunched together as his head cocked to the side. It was rare that he ever got to see a wolf from another pack, or a wolf in general. Within his time in Erenyx the only two demons that he had met were the Demon King Teren himself, and The Damsel in Distress; Guardian Tundra. So it was delightful to meet a few other wolves within the area.

Faust's tail swayed lazily behind him as he glanced over towards the ghostly white wolf on the other side, having caught a quick whiff of the brute during his travel around he knew that he was apart of Erenyx. His scent was no as foreign as the stranger before them, therefor it gave him no reason to question where he came from. "Who are you anyways?"  the young brute called out with a gruff voice.

Wake Up Call [Open!] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Wake Up Call [Open!] Wake Up Call [Open!] Icon_minitimeApril 18th 2016, 15:14

Eclipse had been up early within his small hollow in the wilderness of Brimstone Grove. He found it soothing to feel the light breeze in his pelt and hear it rustle the grass and leaves around him, making him feel connected to the greater forces in the world and less like he was alone, which in turn lulled him to sleep. Resting away from the dens also served the purpose that he might detect a threat before it could make it to the heart of his pack, and he would wake with just a moment's notice if something peculiar stirred his senses, being ready to protect Helidos in an instant as this part of the territory was closer to the border. Being a warrior was a great honour to him at this point of his life as he had little other purpose and he knew full well that by the time the season was over he would be made an Elder due to his age, even though physically he was still strong though just a little slower. Furthermore, he felt a special sense of duty as he was currently one of only two or three warriors in the pack, which would be one fewer when he had to give up his title. They needed more members, especially Warriors because without more of them not only did it leave them more vulnerable during attacks but it was also difficult to set-up spars and training regimes between them with wolves of varying experience and ability. Eclipse had been thinking of starting that up with the current warriors and possibly higher ranks anyway; it was better to train with what they had than to do nothing.

After rising early, he shook his pelt free of debris and wandered out of the woods as its fiery colours began to show to find a spot from which he could watch the sun rise. It had become a part of his morning routine and gave him a sense of appreciation of each day he was blessed to wake up to. This sparked a little positivity to continue onwards with the rest of the day. However, as he quietly observed the sun climbing its way into the sky, a movement in the edge of his vision distracted him. A young brute, skinnier and taller than Eclipse yet in other aspects not too dissimilar, was venturing out of their homeland. He almost shouted out a greeting to his packmate but he could tell even in the soft darkness and the distance between them that the wolf wasn't in the greatest spirit, moving forwards as if he needed to complete something urgently. Eclipse watched curiously at first and thought little of it, but a few moments after the brute disappeared from his line of sight he felt like he should follow and couldn't shake the thought that perhaps he could be of some help.

And so he did, knowing he had all day to do anything important that needed doing. He followed the trail of whom he knew to be another warrior of his pack until he came to the slopes of Isle De Muerto, a truly hazardous place. The brute couldn't fathom why his packmate was in a hurry to come here but he was glad to have trusted his instinct as having company in this area was definitely a good idea for the other brute. Problem was it was hard to find any living thing here amongst the gales and crumbling rocks which blurred scents and sounds. Regardless, he pressed onwards, leaping over loose stone and creeping low to keep his nose closer to any possible scent and his centre of gravity stable as he climbed. He enjoyed the feeling that exertion pushed through his veins. He had not climbed too high before he spotted his fellow warrior. Really he'd only been a matter of minutes behind him the entire journey and, with the passing time and altitude, the brighter sun rays allowed colours and movements to be seen more easily.

Coming closer, he realised two males now accompanied the other, one white and the other so close to identical to himself it would have been uncanny had said wolf not been more like an oversized pup in build and scrawny like an omega. The pale one appeared quite neutral whereas the brown one had crept behind his packmate and his tail flicked strangely from side to side, though not in a happy wagging manner. It was easy to guess which pack this one was from. Mentally growling, he stalked further upwards to get closer with the advantage that nobody knew of his presence. He remained surprisingly silent despite the terrain. Ears pressed forward, he heard the words that the Erenyx one called out rudely, like he tried to seem intimidating. A few feet behind the wolf, Eclipse stopped and raised his voice as he knew it would be difficult to get any closer without the brute hearing his approach. "It's no more dangerous out here for any wolf than it is for you.", he bellowed with a hint of warning in his tone, lengthy tail hovering level with his spine. Whether he spooked the one before him or not he didn't care, though it would be karma, he only wanted to make it known there was someone watching his every move if he tried anything stupid. The male was much younger than him, as were the others, so he just hoped he was smart and mature enough to know not to play any games with either of the Helidos members. So many young wolves were eager and foolish that he expected such of this one what with the stench that lined his fur which proved his affiliation... yet he felt this wolf was more blunt, cunning and confident than mean. "Greetings.", he called out in a loud but calmer voice as his gaze moved over the group. He wasn't here to puppysit his counterpart and he wouldn't act aggressively as they could all handle themselves as adults despite their opposing packs. But one violent or offensive move towards what he considered a brother of Helidos, and he wouldn't hesitate to strike. "And what are we all doing here today?" Eclipse questioned, trying to evade the cold yet petty aura around the four.

[ Thank you all for joining^^ Also Eclipse is correct, Teeku was speaking in his dream. Thanks for correcting your post Faust!^^ Once again thank you all for joining! Also apologies my post is lacking. I had one all typed out and then lost it, which damaged my muse D:)

Teeku hadn't truly been prepared for the terrain. It was uneven, with sharp bits of rock littering the ground. Causing Teeku to flinch slightly, when he took a particularly harsh step. Proceeding with far more caution than before, the gangly brute pressed forward. He however hadn't made it very high up before he found himself in the company of another. A stark white figure appeared before his eyes. Another tease, he thought huffing. For every time he saw that familiar flash of white fur, for a brief moment Teeku would forget Rose was dead. His heart would soar, before sinking like a rock as the truth slammed into him. She was dead. No the white wolf who approached Teeku now, was not Rose at all. It was a white brute, with stormy grey eyes and a torn ear. Nose twitching some Teeku, caught the familiar reek of Erenyx wafting off the other male's fur. Yet as the ivory male approached he did so calmly, his posture lacking any aggression. So Teeku remained relaxed, his dull amber eyes watching the strange male closely. When he spoke, his slender ears rose to catch his voice. " Helidos." Teeku murmurs back simply. His slender shoulders remaining at ease, as he slowly brought his body to a halt. Standing several tail lengths away, Teeku was saved the trouble of asking a question he already knew the answer to. As another wolf, this one dark furred like himself joined the fray.

Teeku felt an automatic change to the air as the second brute arrived. They both smelled of Erenyx, the reek so strong Teeku wished to back away. He however held fast, his dull eyes roaming over the newcomer. A wary sense of unease coming over him. Unlike the white wolf, this brute wore a not so friendly grin. His walk more of a saunter, his voice a cocky rasp. What one might expect from an Erenyx member. Wonderful, Teeku thought. His heart sinking further into his chest. Exactly what he didn't need or want in his life right then, trouble. Parting his maw to speak, Teeku is once again interrupted. A louder, more assertive voice barking out, echoing through the rock around them. Sure enough from behind the rude dark colored brute, Teeku spotted a third male. This one however, retained the familiar scent of Helidos. Blinking some Teeku, inclines his head to the other warrior. He'd seen the male around camp before, though they'd never formally met. Eyes sliding back to the rude Erenyx brute, Teeku wondered what he'd do. " Teeku..." He murmurs, deciding to answer his question despite how rude he'd been. " My name is Teeku, and I am a warrior of Helidos." He finishes, his sharp shoulder blades rising and falling. Dull eyes showing little emotion, despite the uneasy feeling in his chest. " Who might you be?" He inquires, his question aimed at both of them. More interested in hearing the identity of the calmer white brute, than his dark counterpart. Slender face turning back to his packmate, Teeku twitches his slender ears. Noticing how coolly his packmate spoke, tension clearly still emanating between him and the mangy looking Erenyx mutt. Having no answer as to why he'd come out to the mountain, Teeku allowed the other two brutes to take control of the conversation. Guessing they'd have much to say after his packmate's assertive arrival.

Tempest's storm grey eyes slid to the right of Teeku as he announced his pack's name, almost as if he was looking into nothingness to contemplate this new information. This was not he case however as he had spotted another in their presence, and sure enough Tempest would see the other Erenyx wolf approaching Teeku from behind before the Helidos wolf could notice. Tempest would not warn him however beyond  his calm stare at the approaching Omega.

Tempest said nothing as the Omega greeted the other, in a certain demeanor he did not care for. The wolf showed signs of arrogance with every word he spoke. This was generally an advantage to any who could keep a calm composure and not be effected by emotions such as intimidation, or fear. Perhaps the only fear Tempest knew of was the inherent fear of survival, in a sort of indirect way. Tempest did care about his own survival, so this could possibly allude to the presence of a fear of death, and he also would follow any orders given to him by those of higher rank as he had done so before. This perhaps lent to the presence of a fear of being insubordinate, and coincided with the ingrained fear for one's own well being.

These emotions were far removed from Tempest at this point however, and only served as mechanisms to his actions that were hidden and unseen. Outwardly he did not display the actual emotion of fear nor did he particularly feel it. To himself, he simply did things that had to be done.

Tempest would then spot another approaching, long before the two before him would notice. This one seemed to be another warrior, a male. Once he got within ample distance for Tempest to catch his scent, he noted he smelt similar to the one he had first met, another Helidos warrior.

There was clearly a tension in the air as Eclipse spoke, Tempest knew his own pack had recently warred against Helidos, and his Alpha had boasted of killing the Alphess of Helidos previously as well. The white wolf would speak then, "I am Tempest of Erenyx, I came here today in search of prey, as well as the chance to encounter wolves of other packs. I have not yet been able to associate the names of each pack with their scents, but today I now know the scent of Helidos," Tempest's storm grey eyes would look over the two Helidos wolves, the Omega from his own pack was relatively unimportant at the current moment,

"I have heard talk of a recent war between Erenyx and Helidos, it seems odd that you would not want to fight Erenyx wolves in neutral lands on sight. I did not hear any talk of a relief of tensions between our two packs."

There was something at work here that Tempest did not know about yet. Logically, the pairs of wolves should be at each other's throats right now with the current information he had at his disposal. This only meant that perhaps Tempest lacked information to complete this puzzle.
