Delta Caspian
The night was a time for the monster to release his malice on the world. Raven fur was such a bother during the high heat of summer. He traveled from the pack lands, heading for the neutrals. There was something special about these lands - they felt more free and interesting. Too many times he had walked his own lands. Too many times he had gone the exact same path to see them all clearly. They were boring. No fresh blood, no heat of faes, nothing to pass the time. He wandered deep into the darkness, only the light of the moon delicately lighting his path forward. He walked casually, saving his energy for a time when he would finally be able to kill for himself again. Lately he had been eating from the kill pile. Not because he thought he deserved it, but hunting in the daytime had been dreadful and at night, he often thought about things. Too many things crowded his mind to hunt, but tonight, he felt at peace. His emerald orbs stared over the lands as he finally crossed the threshold from one land to the other. Maple leaves filled the place. All year long they held this color. It often reminded him of times when he was just a Beta, second to the fae he had murdered before her own family and pack. It was funny to him how things got changed so easily. He got what he wanted. She was dead, her mate was dead. Now there was nothing left. Only Azrael. But Azrael wanted nothing to do with his father. Of course, Azrael didn't know the truth.

Jaws opened wide as Teren stopped to yawn beneath the pale moonlight. Closing his mouth, he shook his body and looked to see a light form which caught his eye. Only a small portion of it was visible in the night, the rest was covered by leaves. Naturally, the large predator decided to go seek it out, discover what it truly was. He walked slowly, slower than before, in case this was an elaborate trap set by some sort of foe. As he neared, he could tell it was a larger wolf. This drew him to be even more interested as more details could be seen. He pushed off the leaves from the corpse and revealed a figure he actually knew and had fought a few times. Banshee. The bitch was well known for her fiery tongue and intelligence. It was shocking that such a thing was even capable in a fae. If it had been possible for Teren to love, he probably could have loved her - with time and many forced interactions between one another. But it was far too late now. He had his young, well the last few he could find. The others, two males and two females, had gone missing. The females he was not too worried about, but the males - that was his heir. They were to carry his name and now that would be left to Ambrose, Thaddeus, and Corruption.

He moved Banshee's head to inspect it more, hoping to see those stunning amber orbs once more. To his surprise, they were gotten, taken by a crow or other predatory bird no doubt. Little buggers loved to eat the eyes of the dead. It was a soft and easy target to get into quickly. T'was a shame. He really wanted to see them one last time. Luckily the heat had mostly been blocked by the thick branches and leaves which were scatted throughout the canopy. Even leaves that littered the floor protected it. With nothing of importance left in the fae, he started to strip the fur from the body. It would make a pleasant addition to his den, and the nest of mangled pelts he slept on.

He was a dark shadow moving silently through the darkness. Summer was such a bother to him. Between the heat his dark fur just seemed to soak up and the bursting life and noise constantly crowding around him he found the whole thing rather annoying. Erenyx had been on the quiet side recently, not much activity being found from the dark alpha or if he had been up to anything he'd been hiding it well. Because of this Caspian had had no reason to find Desmond so the last few months had been quite a blur of boredom to him. There had been no talk from Banshee either which bothered him. He had never intended on actually letting her take down Teren, that would be his job but her cunning ways would have been helpful at the moment and he wondered idly what might have happened to her. He refused to accept death as an option, she was simply too clever to fall prey to any other predator or accident caused by mother nature and she had seemed young and healthy. Something must be going on in Helidos, the pack had seemed to fall into some odd sort of silence after the war. Rumor had it that the alphess that took over after Quinn had proceeded to die only a little bit later. He snorted to himself 'stupid faes..' But apparently now it was being led by some heartbroken fool of a brute and the whole pack had fallen into depression. He shook his head and smirked, it was likely she was being made stay around to help or something. He doubted there were many young warriors who weren't sulking over some lost one. He always knew that pack was weak but did they really have to act like pups who just lost their mommy over everything? He continued to move slowly through the thick vegetation, fur brushing off the trunks of the trees and ears pricking as the light breeze caused the leaves high above to whisper mysteriously. The night was so much better than daytime and why wolves chose to sleep it away in their little dens was a mystery to him.

His silver gaze wandered up to the bright orb that floated high in the pitch black sky. It was a clear night and stars twinkled high above as they scattered the darkness in no particular pattern. Stars always interested him, the moon replaced the sun at night- seeming to suit that darkness. But what were stars? Some said they were the souls of those lost looking down on those still living. He wondered was it true, were all the victims and loved ones dead to each wolf up there simply watching. How frustrating must it be to be stuck there just able to watch as those who really deserved to be dead continued to walk the earth far below. He was so deep in thought that he'd failed to catch the scents of another but a noise did catch his attention which caused him to switch his gaze back to the shadowed lands he roamed. Now he did lift his nose sniff around, faint but definitely there. Teren? He narrowed his gaze suspiciously and tilted his head to the side as he tried to pinpoint where exactly the scent came from. There was little wind so scents just seemed to hang there and it bothered him. The old Delta hadn't seen much of his brother recently although it was sickening enough seeing the miniature versions of him which bounced about the pack's clearing. To think they were his nieces and nephews, he shook his large head. He wanted nothing to do with them and had been delighted to hear the news that some had simply disappeared recently. It still left a few wandering about though and he supposed he'd just have to put up with them while Teren was still alpha. However if Caspian was to ever take his spot then those little brats would be put down. He did not want more Teren's in this world.

Interested to know what his brother was up to here in the neutrals or if he had just taken to wandering them during the night hours like Caspian, the brute found the right direction and prowled forward silently. Despite his large form his ashen paws carried him quietly over the lush grasses. After a bit longer the scent got stronger and became mixed with the odd smell of death that always seemed to follow Teren. With an increasing curiosity, he picked up the pace until the large dark form of his brother came into view. Slowing, Caspian narrowed his eyes at the pale body beneath him. Teren was busying himself pulling the white fur from the corpse of who had to be his latest victim. Who was it? Seeing how busy the alpha seemed to be, Caspian decided to risk moving closer. It took only a few steps to recognize the form and now stale scent of her. She'd been missing for so long, he hadn't seen her since the war and now here she lay...dead? It was Banshee. A dark rage blossomed within the Delta. It was hard to explain what Banshee meant to him, they hadn't exactly liked each other. They would've most definitely stabbed each other in the back if needed but they'd come to cooperate each other and become joined in a partnership fueled by a hatred for the one being. The one being who stood before him now ripping the soft fur from her body. He was too angry, too filled with rage to put on any fake voice of pride. He was sick of pretending and feeding this brute's ego. A low snarl escaped his now bared fangs as he took another step forward. "Teren" he simply snarled. "What a mistake you've made."

He knew it was time, he would not let this brute ruin his life anymore. He was alone here, it was time and only one would be returning from this alive.

RIP Warrior Banshee
since you didn't get a proper death thread yet was still such an amazing character when you lived.

As Teren was busy with his gift to himself as he heard a noise behind him. He breathed in the scent, knowing who it was. He smiled to himself, staring off into the distance. He lifted his head straight up. His ears twitched as he listened to the words coming from his brother's mouth. He allowed his smile to stay on his lips as he turned his head to look at the ashen younger brother. He smiled wide to the other, allowing her blood to be seen within his mouth. It was dried and old, but perfect enough for the visual effect he was looking for. "And dear brother... What mistake did I make? Please enlighten me." He stood tall and stared at his brother. They matched glares and all he could do was smile. He was unsure what this wolf had problems with. Was this his kill? Was this his long awaited prize? Was Teren stealing from Caspian? Or was it something more? Did Caspian love the ivory fae? He could feel his smile growing as the anticipation grew as well. What news was he going to share with Teren, if any at all. "Awww, too shocked by the sight before you to even speak, baby brother?"

Anger had begun to boil dangerously in his veins and every movement left a painfully strong desire to lose control and lash out at the demon before him. The slightly larger brute would turn upon realizing he was not alone and grin sadistically at Caspian as he proceeded to speak. The Delta let his ears fall back against his ashen head as his kin let the word 'brother' slip so easily from his maw. How he despised the word that linked them together. Caspian remained silent for a few moments, not trusting himself to speak and merely letting his silver gaze clash with the assessing green of the alpha's. He wanted him dead, wanted to feel the last breath of defeat leave the male beneath him. Never had he ever felt so much hatred cooped up for one being. He'd waited too long, let him live his happy little life without making a move and this was the consequence. Well not anymore, he was sick of waiting in the shadows. He wanted Teren to not only die but to suffer, to beg to for his life. A deep growl had began to rumble in the ashen brute's throat and his upper lip was curling to reveal old stained fangs. He saw what seemed to be slight realization flicker in the old brute's emerald gaze. What was it that he presumed exactly? However as Caspian let his mouth open ready to speak the words that would destroy any brotherhood that may have remained between the two, Teren had to speak again and Caspian shut his maw angrily. The words, sharpened to hit him where it hurt purposely left Caspian breathless with rage. In only a few large strides he would stand only a few pawlengths from the darker furred brute.

"You're a complete fool you know that?" He hissed the words, ears pinned and teeth bared. "You go around with that cocky head of yours but you have no idea, absolutely no idea what is going on around you." He paused to let out an almost maniacal cackle of sorts. "You think you're the big bad alpha that no one is scared of and everyone respects? You're so wrong dear brother" he spat the word savagely like it was poison in his mouth. "There are more wolves in these packs plotting your death than I even thought possible you bloody fool. And don't think your own pack will protect you from them, they all want you dead. No one respects you! I know you don't care for love anymore, you've become so corrupted that you no longer even care for your own family. But I know you live in pride well I hope it's strong because if you knew the real whispers that went around behind your back they would definitely try and punch a few holes through it. But hey you're so happy with yourself I guess it doesn't matter until you're lying with the blood draining from your body watching in utter shock as the one you thought you could trust and confide in stood over your broken body grinning as it had been their intentions the whole time." He chuckled softly, moon glinting off his unique silver gaze. The most noticeable difference between them siding the slight difference in size and pelt darkness. His voice had lost some of its fury and had fallen back to its usual more sly and lazed tone. He was no longer acting on angered impulse, he was fully aware of every movement made by him or anything around him. A sharp breeze, cool considering the time of year, rustled the branches of the trees and the pelts of the two brothers as they stood tall and proud in the moonlit bathed clearing. The corpse of Banshee lay only a few inches away but Caspian did not let his gaze stray from the alpha before him. A small smile curled at the corners of his maw as he spoke again- wanting to get everything out before things got physical.

"Remember when we were younger Teren? When I stepped back, always the one to respect and trust you to lead our pack. I stood by your side longer than the rest even when things got shit with Azrael. I doubt you even noticed things had gone so bad by then." A sharp laugh tore itself from his maw. "you cared about no one else, not even us, as long as Azrael was okay. The others grew frustrated but I always believed you'd become the wolf you once were but you gave up. You think you grew stronger? I see it as cowardice, you were afraid of your own emotions so you shut them off and became the monster you are today, feeding only off the fear of those weaker than you. I lost all respect for you a long time ago brother...from the second I crossed this border pretending to be your ever so faithful Delta I only had your murder on my mind. Banshee was supposed to be my little partner in crime but I guess I'll just have to finish the job myself....I was never going to let her kill you anyway." His tail lashed and his grin grew wider, a wicked glint in his gaze. "Might as well let you know that as well as wanting you dead from the start, I switched my loyalty to Desmond alpha of Agavos and have been spying on you these past few months but your pride made it so easy. I mean who would ever even think of defying the big bad Teren? Today we are going to fight and let me tell you now, only one of us will be walking away from this alive. I only hope it's me and even if I fail today there will be another ready to try after me and there always will be until you lie dead and bloodied you horrid creature." He gave a mock bow and took a step back, body tensed and ready for a fight. His blood was pumping and excitement made his nerves tingle, it was finally time. Finally he could get his revenge on the large brute. The wind had picked up more and more and it now blew strongly at the two wolves and made the trees howl almost sorrowfully at the thought of more bloodshed. He gave an almost crazed smile and shook out his dark pelt.

"Come on Teren, don't tell me you're scared? It's time dear brother!" He practically shrieked the words over the strong but almost warm winds. Even if Teren didn't die today, he was going to get a few marks worth thinking about. He would show this brute that he was mortal, he could feel pain and he could most definitely die.

Delta Caspian
"Caspian.." he spoke as he chuckled to himself. "I thought you were smarter than that." He listened to the rambling of his brother. Caspian had already made up his mind about Teren. Perhaps they all had? Did he even have Reaper by his side? Surely he was the only brother (besides Teren) that had any sense. Caspian was irritating, always had been since Thatcher's death. He was a fool, and Caspian was proving to be more and more like  like Thatcher every second. "You think you know everything, and I nothing?" Foolish brother. "I know the wolves do not walk around these woods, fearing I will find them, speak to them. I know that there are those who hate me. I know the other packs hate me, and by all means, they have wonderful reasons to. Demoniacal reasons which I understand because I gave them to them. I alone am the monster that roams these woods. Not you, not our brothers. Me. They can hate me all they wish and they can plan my death so many ways, so many times. I will not die easily. All of us have graced this world with ten years of long life. That is something to be proud of in the very least. This..." he leaned down to pick up her head and show it to Caspian, then dropped it so he could speak, "...pathetic wolf did not even make it a fraction of what we had. She was a fool. She thought she could best my by her own will and she was not." Teren stood tall and still. His eyes moved over the other. He did not snarl, he did not growl. He glared to the other wolf, thinking over what he was going to say. He spoke so much after knowing so little. He did not know Teren like he thought he did.

"Do you ever listen to yourself speak?" Teren was growing angered by the wolf before him. "You think you know everything, don't you? Have you ever loved anyone in your life? They betray you. They all betray you. Before you knew Banshee, I knew here in other lands. We met and she thought she was perfect. She thought she was better than any wolf she ever met. She was a bitch. But aren't all faes, such? They only want what is best for them, not the pack, not their family.." He snarled slightly as he spoke of his past. "I loved her - not Banshee, but my first mate. The one who was going to have it all with me, by my side. I loved her so much and she betrayed me. She slept with the Omega... What could be of more betrayal than that? At least it would have been understandable if she mated with you, Lyonitus, Reaper, or even Baritos." Teren did not move or flinch. For the first time in a very long time, he was going to admit that he did feel love, compassion, and other feelings. These things had been buried deep as a method to keep himself safe. "Do you know who Azrael is? He is my son. Of all the wolves to be created within my pack, he is the only one I know that is mine. Those silver eyes, they are his mothers. They are more captivating than yours and Baritos' combined. But you know what happens when you love someone? They betray you. How would you act if your only pup allowed our prisoner to be free? What would you do if they just left you for no reason?" It was the first time he had actually accepted that Azrael was his son, that he did love him, and that things would never be the same. He grew angry towards his brother, more for the treason than anything else he had said. He hated Desmond. He was no Alpha. He was a Rogue who wanted to feel important. He had no formal training, just being on his own in the wilds. How did that make him a better leader than Teren? Without any hesitation, Teren lunged at his brother. He was not going to listen to anymore of this worthless spew of words.

[I'm so sorry for how late this is! I've been so busy.]

Caspian's silver gaze blazed with a cold fire as he watched his brother speak, letting out a torrent of words in reply to his own rant. He did not flinch but instead remained calm and collected even when his brother picked up the head of Banshee and insulted her. It did not offend him personally although the disrespect the wolf before him held for any creature that was not him left him disgusted to say in the least. His initial rage had calmed slightly and had instead left him watching on with an icy hatred at the words thrown his way. It was interesting however, to hear his brother speak of the affections he'd felt towards first the fae he'd loved and then his son. In fact the lack of knowledge the other brute had in that particular area left Caspian even smirking slightly, eye's glittering wryly. He stepped forward again, letting a low chuckle slip from his ashen maw. "Firstly might I add I never once mentioned me knowing everything, lord that would be a lot to carry wouldn't it? You call me a fool Teren but I beg to differ, the words you used to combat mine were all rather naive. I would expect to hear such things from a pup...well maybe a rather disturbed pup. Life is full of flukes and luck and what not, your living ten years could be based on any of that. Sure you're a skilled wolf there is no denying but I have yet to watch you face a true life threatening challenge. Banshee was intelligent and sly, her death was most uncalled for." He sighed heavily and shook his head slowly. "She was not a fool anyway, although it seems if someone does not please you they get classed in your little 'fool' group, how pathetic. And yes, to answer your question I have loved. I was as young as you and no my love didn't work and being the younger brother my heartbroken self was then influenced by your own actions through heartbreak. I am ashamed as to how long it took me to realize all you did was destroy. You say you loved her but you sent her away in anger every time she had a litter that didn't bear a male, maybe she wanted someone who actually cared more for her than what she bred." He hissed the words sharply, eyes narrowed and ears pinned as he grinned almost sadistically at the dark brute. "And then what happened? Teren had a tantrum and killed all the other faes instead of sucking up your stupid emotions. I may have given up on love, I thrive by myself but if you cared so damn much you could've waited! Even I know love isn't supposed to always work out but instead you killed her. Then with Azrael...you wanted him to be another you, you wouldn't let him be who he wanted. You control things Teren, you never loved anyone. Not truly. You thought you did but when you couldn't control them and they rebelled you simply flipped. You're a messed up mistake."

The last word slipped out as a low growl and Caspian crouched low, ears flicking slightly as low thunder rumbled from the heavy clouds above them. The wind had continued to pick up strength and pulled at the Delta's fur as he fixed his gaze silently on the angered form of his alpha, his brother. It was if the forest around them knew that bad was about to happen and the trees seemed to creak almost sorrowfully. However all of his attention was taken off such things as his brother finally made a movement and Caspian pushed his body to the left just as the brute lunged forward. He felt the slightly larger male hit off his shoulder slightly and Caspian stumbled back one step before snarling and throwing himself back at the brute who should be still regaining himself from throwing himself forward and would attempt to sink his fangs deep around the blade of his left shoulder and pull with as much strength as he could in an attempt to limit the other's mobility. He had instinctively moved his position slightly so that his body was angled away from Teren's face and therefore jaws and he was left pulling the shoulder back. His ears lay flat against his skull and adrenaline ran through his blood like fuel, leaving him feeling slightly giddy. Tonight either he or Teren would die, the whole thing was rather exciting for the old brute.

The two brother fought, hurting one another just enough to bleed. Thus, getting Caspian forced out of Erenyx. Teren went back home, and Caspian was free to go wherever.

Just going to add that the only reason they did not end up fighting to the death is because a large puma was attracted to the scent of blood and both brothers were forced to unite and fight off the predator for their own safety. Afterwards they went their separate ways.
