| This land was beautiful to Creek. The sun glittered through the trees and cast shadows on the cream colored fae's coat. Shifting through the sparse woods Creek found herself on a new territory that held the scent of other wolves. Growing more excited her white tail wagged behind her and her shoulders rolled with a shiver. For the last few months her paws had led her to many different places. She had seen mountains, pine forests, vast rivers and a small desert. None set well with her, for she sought a home to call her own. Cast out of her old pack her heart told her to find a new family, one that she could care for and would accept her for who she was.
Day dreaming about her new family Creek's thoughts were jarred as she walked into a hollow tree. It shuck slightly and a few pieces of bark fell the top top and landed on her back and head. Ducking down slightly she shuck off her pale coat and licked at her sore nose. Great first impression she had made so far. A small sigh then escaped her maw as her hind met the ground beneath her. Not wanting to wait until someone found her she cast her head back and howled out into the wind. Perhaps the wolves around here would accept her and utilize her healing abilities? If so than perhaps her journey was finally over with. |

| Steele had decided to walk around the territory as he heard a call to the Alpha. He walked along the border, sniffing for any sign of intruder around their grounds. His nose was low to the ground, checking every blade of grass which crossed his path. Every stone before him was flipped over. Then another call rang throughout the trees, causing the birds to flee from their nests. His head shot up, alert and ready. He figured the Alpha would still be with the fae who had called just minutes earlier. He slowly trotted to the other with a bizarre grin on his face. Saliva dripped from his maw with excitement. As he neared her, he could smell her scent. His smile grew wider than before.
His paws stopped before her. His body was high and dignified, staring at her. His tail curled over his back, full and thick. "Who are you? What do you want with the pack?" His eyes were as aggressive as his voice. He held the growl deep within him, forcing himself to be a little polite. Azul would not be happy if he scared this fae off. |

| Still sitting by her tree daydreaming Creek nearly jumped when a black male approached her. Her eyes briefly tread over him and his aggressive chance and her heart started to race. Had she made a mistake coming here? Thinking fast she dropped down into a low crouch, nearly laying down and a tremble shock through her entire body. "I...I...I'm sorry sir......I......was looking.....for a new.....new...home....and...I....I thought...th...this pack might be it." She stuttered out to him.
Her cream tail almost strangled her small body as her body continued to shake on the dirt before him. She felt foolish, but she had heard of Alpha's who killed off loners who didn't show complete submission. "My n...name's Creek by the way sir." She stammered and her face twisted into a mixture of a small smile and a look of sheer terror. She would still remain friendly and polite to this male even if he was scaring her fur off. In her mind she tried to put a reason to his aggressiveness; like perhaps he treaded on a thorn, he ate a bad rabbit or he didn't sleep well. Creek was hardly ever grumpy, but when she didn't get a lot of sleep even she would snap at others. |

| He snarled, baring his black spotted gums and blood-stained fangs. His silver eyes pierced hers as he stared and glared at her. The agitated Beta loved to show his dominance over wolves. It was like a game to him. Of course he only played the game while Azul was away. He knew the Alpha male would never allow such a display in his presence. But he was alone, with this terrified looking fae. This only made the game even more fun for the brute. He slowly walked back and forth before her, watching her as saliva dripped from his muzzle. "Creek... Interesting name," he said, but continued pacing. His eyes focused on hers, stopping right before her nose. "What can you bring to the pack? What skills have you got? Are you even good at anything?" |

| Well this was a charming guy wasn't he? Creek was beginning to question her idea of finding a new home as this black brute was not circling her like a vulture. Was this going to be the norm for her? Creek remained on the ground and dared not give eye contact for she had remembered some wolves could go off the deep end at that. It was probably a good thing that the cream female and remembered the few submission lessons of her old pack, they might be saving her life now.
"I was named for Cedar Creek, which flowed through my old pack and was also where my parents first met." She said in a soft one to the black male. "I am a healer, I was trained by my mother for three years to become her successor and have helped many wolves in the past. My knowledge is vast and I can offer your pack much if I were to be a healer here. I can also hunt and defend myself in a fight if need be." She said hoping in her mind she wasn't going to have to back p that last statement right now. If the male had been more decent she would have asked for his name by now, for it was rude not to give ones name before demanding it. However, she would excuse his blatant impoliteness now as her gaze caught his teeth for a second. |

| Steele continued to show his glistening fangs, baring them before her. He loved the feeling he got when he was forcing a subordinate to submit. He thought back to the time when Kenai had joined the pack. He took great pleasure in forcing him to the ground. But there was something more about dominating faes. They were filled with fear and anxiety around this brute. It sent chills up his spine and his crooked smile was forced to emerge. "Cedar... Isn't that some kind of tree?" he growled as he quickly moved his jaws away from her. He began to pace once more. He knew the pack had already accepted a healer into their numbers, but another one could not hurt. Azul would be proud of him for allowing such a fae to walk the territory. That sort of thing would keep Steele in the clear and out of harm's way from Azul. "After much thought, I have agreed with myself, to allow you entrance to our home. You will be a Caretaker, but since we do not have young ones in our midst, you shall heal the sick and wounded. Do I make myself clear?" He stood before her once again, only this time, he lifted his head slightly, looking back to the camp.
"You will stand and enter the lands. You will not walk beside me, nor will you try and keep my pace. I will lead you into the lands. You will not speak unless spoken to. Got it?" he asked with a growl. He started heading towards the pack, his long tail dragged across the forest floor, collecting the fallen leaves that scattered the ground. With a whip of his tail, he flung the leaves elsewhere. His tail then moved to the arch of his back, resting with pride and dominance. He would be sure to lower his tail in the presence of Azul, but as of now this fae might suspect he were the Alpha. He planned to keep it that way. |

| Creek waited patiently for Steele to answer and her heart felt like it was going to pop out of her throat. He was certainly a more intimidating male than she had met in the past, but she would reserve judgment on him till later. As he spoke she was about to answer when he started speaking again, which caused her to snap her maw shut again. Her green eyes watched him pace before her and a mental image of him wearing a rut in the forest floor made her smile slightly.
He then spoke of her new position and her tail wagged happily. "Oh thank you sir thank you. I promise I won't let you down Alpha sir." She blurrted out then grinned. "Yes we have it clear," she then replied quickly and remained slient. At his next order she scrambled to her feet and lowered her head to him. How was she supposed to not keep pace with him, yet follow him? She almost asked this, but remembered he ordered her silent, so instead she just nodded and started off after him. She truely thought he was an odd Alpha, but a leader none the less and he would obey him. |
