Calling out to the midnight sky Empty

Chaos trotted slowly through the dark forest, steps in beat with each breath he took. His muscles moved beneath his thick multi-colored pelt, his large form an easy thing to spot despite the dark of night. The stars shined brightly in the midnight sky, giving him just enough light to see the twisting path in which he tread. Subtle thoughts swirled through his mind as he moved, ones about the invasion, about his family. It still stung that he hadn't been able to save them, that he hadn't been strong enough to fight off some half starved, mangy flea-bags. But it was far to late to change anything from his sorrowful past, and there was no reason to get upset about it now. Even as he cast the thoughts from his mind, a dark glint remained in his hazel eyes, one that seemed sharp enough to cut. He paused, lifting his nose to the air as many scents of other wolves reached his nostrils. A pack. He thought in a rather dark manner, eyes flashing as memories of all the packs he had met flashed within his mind, causing a shiver to shoot down his spine. He was attacked mostly by then, they casting him away as if he was an old piece of carcass. He still yearned to join a pack though, and so he continued forward with a slightly stiff stance, the scents getting stronger as he continued until he got to what he suspected to be the packs boarders. Chaos scanned the area with wary eyes, ears perked forward as he searched for any sign of a member close by but he didn't have such luck. He took a deep breath, relaxing his stiff stance before lifting his large cranium to the sky and releasing a long, loud howl telling the members of his presence. He finished by breaking it off, standing there in a lower stance than he had been deciding it was best if he didn't want to appear like he was challenging the authority of any member of the pack that came to answer his call, and awaited the arrival of a member.

Night. Chiara's favorite time of the day was the pitch black night. Her inky black pelt seemed to melt into the darkness and she truly felt hidden from the cruel world that she was so angerly thrust into. Blending into her surroundings the new lead warrior made her nightly trip into the black, feeling a bit at ease to escape the rigors of daily life. Unable to complain about her new pack this new life did little to affect her. For most days the fae trained or hunted without any interactions with her pack mates. On occasion when she saw her Alphess she was her humble servant for Esmerelda was her savior. Though time spent with her was less and less these days it didn't deter Chiara from getting stronger and better at sparring. Her skills had improved tenfold since that horrid day when she journeyed into Erenyx. Most of the memories from that day had been pushed into the dark caverns of her mind, though a few sole thoughts she cept at the front line of her mind. Damon's dying words were the most prevalent, for they cept her going and cept her somewhat sane.

Lost in her thoughts the dark fae journeyed deep into the territory, enjoying the solitude that accompanied her that night. Breathing in the cold air and letting the snow whip through her fur Chiara broke into a run, leaping through the snow banks. Letting the white snow crash around her the fae caught herself from laughing out, such a stupid feeling was extinguished quickly and the fae stopped her behavior. No, she would not belittle herself to show such weakness, not even when she was alone. Going back to a trot her ears then perked at the sound of a male's howl on the wind. Showing no sign of emotion Chiara went towards the sound, not showing fear or uneasiness, but instead curiosity. Gone were the old feelings of cowering at the sign of any male, no she wouldn't be that weakling anymore.

Covering ground quickly the easy sight of the black male against the white snow showed itself. Knowing her own dark pelt did the same thing Chiara embraced it and strode quickly across the snow, showing no attempt to hide in the shadows. With no other marking of her black pelt but, the X shaped scar over her eye she stood out easily in the snow. Her dark yellow eyes bore into the large male showing no fear, only her authority. "You" She barked at him as she neared, "state your name and purpose here. Don't waste my time male, give me a good reason not to chase you off these grounds for which you so ignorantly have walked on." She said, her voice low and full of disdain.
