| (Sorry for the late post- I nearly forgot about this site!)
A soft crunch of leaves made a scrawny hare scuttle away, making Lux scowl and hiss out a array of wolf cusses. But they ended abruptly as her nose twitched, catching another scent. Was that... the Erenyx border? It sure smelt like a wolf pack. But a bit more troublesome then she'd imagined.
Taking a sharp turn, she forgot about the wild rabbit and she neared the border. Halting at it's assumed flank, the fae laid down and waited. After a while, Lux began wondering about what it was like to be in Erenyx. And would they even accept her? Was she good enough for them? The worries overflowed in her young mind until they toppled over and she sighed, laying her moonlit face on the ground and closing her pale green eyes. Maybe a bit of sleep would help the young fae.

| Hushed steps scaled a sacred border. The impaling scent of dominant wolves lined the entire way, the stench horrendous to outsiders yet reassuring to those within her keep. The figure whom lined the markers was now contemplating her decisions, weighing the pros and cons. While her father may deem her actions unfit, she could image her mother approving of this decision. In a months time, the Apprentice would hunt large game with the pack, but for now that simply wasn't enough. If the she-wolf wished to, in due time, surpass her parents and reign to supreme, as her mother may say, Ammolite would need to get the necessary experience; even if it meant taking somewhat risking procedures. Weaving through the dry forest, another canine caught the female's attention. Snarling viciously as she approached, her warning sounds died down once she saw the figure was lying peaceful beneath the moonlight. Eying this newcomer in the dark surroundings, Ammolite's presence weighed heavy in the air. Even at her young age, the she-wolf gave off a dominant aura and with this intimidating air, the female let out a sharp bark to gather the loner's attention.

IC: Raising her ears at the snarling sound, the fae flicked her drowsy eye's open.
"Eh?" She murmured, barely making a sound. Suddenly, her head snapped towards the direction of the precipitous bark. Eyes aglow, she jumped up. In front of her was a unknown wolf, with a mottled pelt. Cloaked in darkness, eyes a deep, yet bright green, the she-wolf seemed older then she was- and frightening, at that. Especially to Lux, who hadn't met many wolves in her short life.
"Uh..." She mumbled, at a lose for words. "Is.. Is this the Erenyx border?" With that question, she stepped back a bit, making sure to give the wolf a lot of space. A wind swept through the forest, causing a few leaves left over from fall to drift through the brush and make an eerie whistle.

"Eh?" came the feeble sound amidst the dark. Embers flickered in the night, the unknown wolf appearing like a cat caught by the hovering moonlight. It was evident the loner was being cautious over the younger Apprentice, her stance wary and discombobulated. Did she not know her own location? Ammolite was somewhat taken aback by this misconduct but, in her partial deadpan tone, she replied none the less; "Yes, it is." Observing how the wolf coward-ed from the Erenyx wolf's presence, Ammolite took a paw step nearer in curiosity. "Do I frighten you?"

| Lux watched the nameless wolf without taking her eyes off for a second. She couldn't be too careful, in her mind. Her muscles tensed automatically, as she waited for the unknown wolf to speak.
"Yes, it is."
"Do I frighten you?"
"Oh, no," She answered quickly, seeming a bit relieved as her shoulders eased. The young wolf had been under the assumption that Erenyx wolves would be more barbaric then polite. After all, a traveler had told her that they were the most brutal of nearby packs. Even their border marks smelled aggressive!
"Uh, I'd like to join your clan. I'm called Lux," She breathed, voice raspy from the cold. |
