Fearful Beasts (Magnus) - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Fearful Beasts (Magnus) Fearful Beasts (Magnus) - Page 2 Icon_minitimeApril 12th 2014, 05:50

As the other male finally became still beneath him, Tye pushed off from his uninjured foreleg, getting into a standing position with difficulty. It was the mention of Chiara's name that had shaken the lead hunter back into reality. Tye was innately thankful for they could only go so far before he passed out from blood loss or Magnus ended up damaging himself in a way that even with a healer's paws, ended up destroying his ability to hunt effectively. His blood-stained countenance, as it was, showed nothing but stoic indifference, despite his grievous condition. Perhaps if one had been observant enough, they would have noticed the slightly glazed over look in the icy shade of blues in his eyes. His concentration was reaching the beginnings of a time lapse. It was starting to waver. It had been at least a year since he had felt this way. And it had been the same amount of time since he had engaged in a fight that had caused him this much damage. Thankfully, his mental capacities were still functioning enough to remember the reason why he had come in the first place. The deer which he probably wouldn't be able to haul back in his condition. The injured foreleg made any kind of movement cumbersome and he would most likely pass out from blood loss on the way to the den. Magnus seemed as if he was in no shape to drag it back which left Cassiopeia. He gazed down at the fallen wolf as he spoke, his expression unchanging. It could even have been described as cold. He listened to the other male's words, albeit through slightly impaired hearing and growing sense of creeping unconsciousness.

If he had not been suffering from blood loss and if he had been a kinder wolf with room for sympathy in his heart he would have granted Magnus some form of consolation. It was a cruel misfortune that had fallen upon him. Tye acknowledged that internally but he had no answers for his friend to ease his pain. Sometimes, in life answers weren't so simple to come by and this was one of those times. The situation had already progressed this far and unless they could time-travel back in time, the repercussions were something that he had to face on his own. His wounds would most likely heal in time, within a month. So he lowered his head and grasped Magnus' scruff firmly with his teeth and grunted,"Come on you can still get up. You still have three legs." Glancing at the cream-coloured fae he said in a slow steady voice, "Can you help Magnus go back to the healer den? And the deer...come back later for it to take to the kill pile or the crows will have picked it clean."

occ: Last post after this guys? Then we can all make a new thread in the Healer Den with Cliche.

The wolf, Magnus, was impossibly sorrowful, but Cassiopeia held little sympathy for such a sorry sight. It was true that deep down in the darkest hole which her demon could muster, the one which her stable side resided, there was a glimmer of empathy. The tiniest star which gleamed so far away yet its light only barely made to the surface. No, her eyes were cold, that twinkle too soft to be seen by anyone other than those looking deeply. She held malice for such a mournful sight, Magnus may not have been a Warrior but he was still a member of Erenyx. He needed to pull himself together and be strong, this coming from the slowly devolving Cassiopeia. With a single look, Magnus conveyed much purpose and direction. Tye's words were of no help though, how much were they going to demand of her? But the deer carcass, which she had barely noticed before, was not to go to the buzzards. If they were to pass anyone on their way to the healer's den she would certainly send them back for it. But she suspected, with her luck, she would end up dragging that back as well. She could only sigh at such things, she was doing this not only for her pack, but also Tye. For some reason she had formed a one-sided connection with this hard wolf, one which brought out things in her that her demon had hostility towards. Sympathy and kindness were hunted down and exterminated if they were seen in the demon's eyes.

Her less diabolic side thought about keeping silent, merely nodding at Tye's remark and getting to work. But tact was not her priority and she could not help but hit back a reply, directed at them both. "You should have been wiser than to take your rage so close to death. I can promise I am much more obliging than Steele will ever be, if... no, when he finds out," She said this because she knew she would not be taking this to the Alpha. It was something that would only bring unknown horrors, a conversation she was not willing to face. She bent down and offered her shoulder to Magnus, her small form prepared to take on as much weight as was needed. She was a Warrior for a reason, she would force her strength and stamina to be enough, her iron will being the way she won most of her fights. She never gave up and such would not happen with these two testosterone filled imbeciles. "Tye, if you feel like you are about to black out, tell me, you may need to lean on my other side," This thought made her chuckle, they were both so miserable and only moments after a terrible fight they might have to brush fur over a small female who was becoming their crutch. It was a cheerless situation, but things like that made her laugh. She prepared to strain herself, nothing else would do, clearing her mind she readied herself to begin the arduous walk to the Healer's Den.

ooc: Agreed, just PM me if I need to start the next thread. Whoever does start [from our group] feel free to talk about the journey, Cassi will make it.

With heavy limbs and drawn breaths the male rose slowly from the dirt. He winced each time his left paw touched the hard-packed earth. The added help of the other was very much appreciated, but his pride wouldn't ever allow him to show it. Though what pride he had left to speak of was beyond him. He lost all claim to pride the moment Steele gave his orders. But pride had no use to a grown brute. Not for this one, not with what the future had in store for him. It was high time he faced what he had coming for him. Chiara had to be told, given her options. But he refused to tell her of the threat upon his life. If he knew her well enough, the thought of loosing him me force her into a decision she didn't want to make. He would support whichever choice she made and if she decided to go through with the bastard pups, he would protect them with everything he had. Not because he cared for his own life, the days events had shown how little care was given for that, but because he cared for her. He was afraid that if he left her, she would turn down a dark path from which she might never return. Or worse, that if she were left along with the pups, she might harm them in her emotional state. As much as he despised his Alpha for what was to come, he wouldn't harm an innocent child just for being born.

He mused, so much had changed in a few short months. Not so long ago he would have easily throttled a weakling pup without batting an eyelid. He would have torn open another's throat without much thought. Even his first month or so here had not made any difference in his personality. It was again Chiara who had made all of this as it was. No more. He had to be more of who he really was. People don't really change, no matter how much one might wish to believe they had. Deep down, Magnus was still the cold killer had had been raised to be, just with a tiny bubble of love reserved for only one. He was a matured version of his once juvenile self. He demanded respect and the title that was promised his old self. But to be Guardian to Steele would take true dedication. Nothing was impossible, he was sure there were plenty of others who had worked for Alphas they despised. If only his lesson had been learnt sooner, perhaps he would never have left his old pack.

He finally made it to his feet and leaned heavily on the females shoulder. He was quick to force himself away from her body, brushing off her help briskly. The hunter would nod tersely to the females statement, his only response, "I must accept the consequences of my actions today. If Steele should find out I will not hesitate to tell him the truth of my misdeeds. I must be honest with Chiara in our matters." He took a few steps forward and looked at Tye. He nodded, the most apology he would give, and possibly the last. And he forced himself to limp forward in a long and slow journey to the Healers den. If either chose to escort him that was their decision. For the moment he was done pandering to the others.

(ooc- all done here. Sorry I kind of changed my direction with Magnus. He was feeling pretty uppity tonight.)

Tye expression became blank for a moment then he let out a humourless chuckle. There was some truth in that. If he had made a decisive blow when he'd had his shoulder taken out then he wouldn't have been in the position he was in. But his aim had been to restrain him without killing him. Unfortunately it hadn't worked out as well as he'd wanted to when it came to injuries sustained. Magnus' lack of control had caused him to be reckless which in turn made it more dangerous for him than it had to be. He knew how far his body could go and he had stopped short of pushing it beyond repair. He could make it through this. All he needed was a healer. If Cassiopeia were needed to support the two of them then it would make the journey slower. And if she had to support just him, it would do the same thing and he would probably bleed out to death before he managed to reach the healer den. So he just smiled at her slightly, lips marred with blood and said, "No thanks I don't need someone to walk me to my death.". When Magnus stood up Tye let him go seeing that he could stand on his own paws. His vision blurred for a split second. Shaking his head, he nodded to Magnus in acknowledgement to his unspoken apology. There were still feelings of anger left over from what had happened but they were shelved, pushed to the back of his mind. He would let Magnus reclaim his pride. He needed to get to the healer's den, quickly. With that, he turned away from the pair, his eyes closing for a brief moment as a wave of dizziness swamped him which he didn't allow them to see. Then he opened them, focus settling in those blue hues and moved into a sprint across the moors. Pain shot up his leg but he endured it and soon he disappeared into the trees.

[Tye has left the area]
