With swift movement, a raven descended, cawing loudly as it circled above a mix-hued male. So quickly, the male stood, and leapt into the air, snapping his jaw close to the low raven. It cawed in protest and flew away. "Pesky ravens," he growled quietly to himself. He was at the outskirts of a forest, still traveling from the last pack where he left his sisters. Zander's ears flicked as he heard another caw from a set of ravens on one of the many branches on the tall trees infront of him. He simply shook his head and finally began towards the forest. A raven swooped down and came very close to his muzzle. He snapped at it, snatching it's small body in his maw, and closing it quickly, snapping the raven's body. He dropped it and padded into the forest. "How lovely," came the words as he examined the deep forest. Slowly, he raised his muzzle to the sky and sniffed, still padding deeper into the trees. As he caught scent of a border, he wandered towards it. As he came upon it, his hackles rose. He caught scent of several wolves, intrigued, but wary. The last time he seen wolves, they chased him until he gave up. That's when they broke him down with shoves and bites, until he was bleeding heavily. He shivered, shaking out his still blood stained coat. He stayed at the edge of the territory, unsure of entering as he hesitantly raised his maw. His jaw partly very carefully, a little bit, and a low sound emerged from his throat. A deep howl was floating through the air, calling to wolves, hoping it would find a compassionate member, other than a deadly one. He patiently awaited the arrival of a wolf, sitting on his haunches.

The fae had been training when the call reached her ears. She had realised it had been some time since she had truly trained with her body in combat. So much of her time was spent running the borders, just running in general. What might she be running from? None could say. Her life was as close to perfect as it could be. She was an Elite, she enjoyed her duties and responsibilities, Drogo had returned to her - although he had remained aloof and solitary since then, she suspected he still had a lot of recovery left - and spring had arrived. The snows were melted and wildflowers were beginning to sprout all over, some in the oddest of places. Ever-eager to meet the new additions to the pack, she set off as quickly as possible. It was unlikely that another would beat her to the task. The Alphess was busy running the pack, the Betas were assisting the Alphess if not training, and her Elite counterpart needed time to himself. It had been close to a season since Creeks death, but a season is not long enough to completely mourn the one you loved. He had also lost his young pups, Maia and Ayden. He needed time to recover. It was soon enough that she reached the borders, following the gentle breeze to the origin of the new scent.

The sight was not an encouraging one. The wolf she found was covered in blood and looked worn out. He might very well collapse there in front of her. The fae cleared her throat and stepped into the sunlight that dappled through the branches to reach the forest floor. "Hello, I am Elite Nnlya of Helidos, the lands you appear to be about to enter. You have summoned me, I suppose, to ask entrance to our ranks?" She gave a slight pause to allow for answer. Whether he spoke or simply gave a nod, it was enough. "Before I can do such a thing, I might ask of you some questions. I shall make this quick as you clearly need the attention of a healer. I would like to know your name, your skills and some of your history. I will not judge you if your past is marred by misfortune. Helidos is a place for second chances." Nnlya give a slight smile, her blue eyes lighting with mirth as she lowered her rump to the dirt. Might as well get comfortable.

As the scent of a wolf became stronger, he watched the area before him. "Yes. My name is Zander. Though I can fight I choose not to for several reasons. Hunting would be what I'm best at though. I'm rather efficient in speed, stamina, and strength. As for a bit of my past? I never had much of a pack, grew up without a mother or father, they died when I was younger.. I raised my two younger sisters for a while until coming upon a new pack. They greatly enjoyed it there, and the pack did not favor me. I was bitten and driven out, and in my mission to find a nicer... pack, I came across several loners who had held their own well. Ive done rather fine I believe. Im surviving." Most of his words were raspy from his sore, parched throat. He was still seated in the same spot, only now he was sitting up instead of lying. His teeth looked healthy from most of what was seen. His fur was healthy, but matted with blood and he still had open cuts from thorns and wolves picking at him. "And its lovely to meet you, Nnlya." Slowly, he stood, then gracefully dipped his head to the female, bowing slightly before he sat once again.

Nnlya sat there listening. But her mind was racing at the same time. This male was clearly injured recently, perhaps chased off another packs lands if his panting was anything to go by. If she was to accept him it would have to be done quickly as the main encampment was a good distance from this place. He needed the attention of a healer as quickly as possible. He claimed the skills of a Hunter, Good, she thought, because he's clearly not the best fighter. But she refrained from saying so out aloud. She ignored his courtesy for the moment, despite its politeness. There wasn't any time for it at this moment, though it pleased her that he had made the attempt. It showed he was very respectful. "Zander, I shall make this simple for you. Can you promise to use your talents at hunting under the guidance of your superiors and in the presence of your equals? Will you take orders from our Alphess Quinn without hesitation and remain true and loyal? Promise me this and you shall be granted the rank of Hunter. Then I shall escort you to the Healers den myself." She stood, tail twitching in anticipation. One way or another she would be running. The direction of course was up to him.

Zander's face was calm and he nodded slowly. "Yes, I will. I will take orders from Alphess Quinn and will use my hunting ability to hunt for Helidos and everyone in it. I swear it on my life that I shall be loyal to Quinn and Helidos for eternity." At the last of his words, he stood and shook his blood-stained coat out. In his bright eyes was determination and honesty. He was leaning more weight on his right paw and his left was slightly lifted. Even through his aching pain, he was ready for anything and was ready to do what Alphess Quinn wanted.He slowly stepped beside Nnlya, wary, but wanting to be in Helidos. "Lead the way, Miss," Zander woofed, slightly bowing before wincing. "I believe... its time to head to a healer."
