| Heaven ran at full speed from the Erenyx camp clearing, she passed the border and she felt free. Her paws pounded against the earth, her heart pounding so loudly it rang within her ears. Her paws were carrying her fast, breaking away from the pain and training she felt. She had a new scar across her shoulder, the one that was caused by Beta Fel and the boulder pushing. She held muscles yet the beta still pushed her pretty hard. Her big ears flopped against her head and her deep brown eyes searched the new area she had entered after quite a big run for her. She took a few deep breaths and then walked along the soft earth and pink blossoms that hung from the tree tops to the ground. She breathed in the scents and she knew the smell was lavender. It was pink and purple mixed, a much cheerful and hoping atmosphere then the deathly scary Erenyx. Her fur bristled as a warm breeze brushed through the pasture of trees and soft earth. She walked slowly through the blossoms, taking in the scents as she brushed by them. Some flowers stuck to her pelt as she moved under the hanging vines of flowers. She smiled and wagged her tail gently.
She felt safe for the first time in a long time, happy even. She walked to the trunk of one of the trees and lay down just where the sun peered through the flowers and vines. Her face was directly in the watch of sunlight, her body feeling warm and pleasant. Her deep brown eyes shut and her ears flicked forward as she listened and soaked in the warmth. Birds fluttered about, singing and flying around in the sky. Squirrels ran about, collecting food and disappearing into their homes. Bugs crawled across the soft earth that she was laying on. Winds blew through the sky and reached down to the earth. A small creek raced nearby, fresh and trickling quickly to give water to different creatures. Rabbits darted to and fro, grasshoppers hopped about. It was quiet and she was awfully lonely. She stood and opened her eyes, staring at the ground and seeing a grasshopper. It was something that while Hush would watch her, she would chase it and play with it. She smiled gently and crouched down. Her hind end in the air and she shook it twice before jumping onto it. It hopped away and she bounced after it with giggles escaping her maw.
"Wait for me little guy!" She cried out and jumped from the trees and into a small opening. She was hopping after the grasshopper and when she pounced again three of them scattered and she went after a different one. She tilted her head slightly, keeping her eyes on her prey. She crouched again and pounced. It bounced away and she went after it. A game of cat and mouse except it was all for fun and she would never mean to hurt it. She jumped again and this time she tumbled to the ground and rolled over in the flowers. She giggled again and waved her paws in the air. "I'ma turtle!" She was all alone but she didn't mind too much, or that's what she thought. She rolled to her stomach and shook her pelt before tumbling to the ground again and rolling over several times. She licked her nose gently and giggled once more. Her tail wagged and she went back to chasing grasshoppers until she saw a bird on the ground. She crouched low and smoothly made her way to it. She pounced and it flew away from her with a flurry of feathers and chirps. She laughed as it angrily flew away and went back to looking for bugs to eat. She rolled onto her back, paws stretched out and resting on her chest. Today was a good day. |
