| A day's worth of introducing himself to the healing station had not gone unnoticed. He spruced the den with a variety of violet blue colors, a shade he tended to admire, in order to liven the mood the empty place had given him when first entering. Measly little flowers now lined the base as well as some scatted over the walls in tiny holes, so that they had a home for themselves. The healer took the initiative to organize all the herbs according to use, the minor components being put in front, while the more dangerous, rarely used knacks were set further back, further from needed reach. It wasn't required of him to do such easy, simple tasks on his first day, he should be exploring, making proper impressions on his colleagues. Not sticking his head into an abandoned mending home, but Percy was at a lost cause. He tended to enjoy the peace and quiet of being the only healer, and though he was surprised to see he was the only one, he did not complain. The healer catered to himself by dining quietly in his new workplace on a thick hare he caught just a small stroll away from the den. It made an excellent lunch to fill his insides, and he was joyed to know how beautiful the day had pressed on since his awakening in the lands far from here, and how much progress he had made just that morning.
He was accompanied by a black monarch butterfly, resting upon his snout on its own accord as he had been tiding a few lasting touches to his station. Its wings were intricately carved, fragile and beautiful as they were, Percy made no strange movements to disrupt the kind friend of his he had earned. He was glad to of met someone on this occasion, and claimed him as his first friend to be officially made in the pack of Helidos thus far. His eyes crinkled into a small smile for the new found friend, admiring the butterfly with his pale hues that sparkled to the arrival. "Hello there, little one." The healer chuckled giddily, raising his head a tad higher as the fellow stayed latched onto the tip of his muzzle like as if it owned it. Percy didn't seem to mind. Throughout that afternoon, he'd talk to it about the littlest of things, the weather, the sun, nature itself, the sounds he could hear, the people he was excited to meet. Anything that which ran through his mind, and quite honestly, he was pleased to know this was getting off his chest to at least someone. Perhaps it wasn't the type of someone in particular that he may want to speak to, like another wolf, but he couldn't help but remind himself that every little animal had a soul of his own in some light. The healer was evenly respectful of the butterfly until it took off into another direction. He watched it slowly as it looped around him and back onto his snout, its wings stretching flat out in flight as it remained standing still. The display made him curious, but before he could ask, the butterfly took air and flew forwards, as if wanting him to follow. "Where are you going, little one?" He said whilst taking a few steps forwards in the direction the insect flew.
As much as he so tried to catch up with the winged friend, the wolf couldn't so much keep track of him in flight as he ran upon the forest floor. His finds were terrible, and the sun blocked his vision from trying to see the butterfly in his view. Either way, Percy was left lost once his friend had flown away and disappeared to a place he knew not, looking around him slowly to get a better hold of his surroundings. Unfortunately, being it was his first day, he had no idea where he was, or the way back to camp where his beloved station rested all clean and dapper for duties. "Oh, little one.. where have you brought me.." He muttered to the dirt below, his ears sadly turned back against his head before lifting his eyes to peer around slowly again. Defeated, when he started slowly heading north, he was lead to a chasm further into the Helidos land. He wasn't quite sure how safe the area was, but he was willing to test his chances, finding some positivity in himself that perhaps there were herbs here he could gather. Though a fresh drink of water sounded marvelous as well, he thought. As he strolled inside, his breathing hiked and cooed with great awe for what beauty it held. The tip of his blue grey tail swayed slightly back and forth before later venturing deeper into its prisms. His steps lingered and echoed off the surrounding walls, and the dripping of water some where near also vibrated around him.
Where oh where had the butterfly lead him? |

| Day and night the young fae was forced to stay under the watchful eye of the pack. She was told by both her mother and father to stay close to the dens. That was the safe zone where "nothing bad could go wrong". She was tired of looking at the same old dens, with the same old wolves, and the same old smells. She wanted to see something new, something that would change her life. Afraid to cross over into the neutral lands, she decided to stay within what was "home". Wandering from the homestead, she slinked off into the neighboring areas. She had walked by a flower field, and trees of all kinds. But these things did not call to her. The afternoon sun was beating down on her back and she knew that she would get overheated if she stayed out too long. "Hydration is very important Kida..." she spoke aloud to herself as she mimicked her parents. Nobody was here to scold her or tell on her. She was free for the first time in a long while. Giggling she started to run. She knew not where she was headed to, but she wanted to make sure that she had the greatest of times. Rushing through the tall grasses, she found a strange hopping bug. Immediately she stopped running and slowed to follow this creature. It had two long back legs that it used to hop from one blade of grass to the next. When it landed on a rock, Kida tried to mimic the actions of the bug she was so intent on following. She leaped as high as she could in the sky and landed down on all four paws. Her tail flowed behind her casually. Her ears rested as they flopped up and down with each hop. She wondered how silly she would look doing this, but she didn't care. Nobody was even around her. She had every intention of following this creature wherever it went. But soon she would find herself standing before a strange thing she had never even heard of.
There was a large mouth opening to a cave right before her. The grasshopper bounced off into the opposite direction. Kida stood still, looking inside as far as she could. "Hello? Hello... Is anyone there?" Nobody replied to the young pup, but her voice did echo. It rang back out to her and Kida smiled. "What would mother and father think if I went in here and got lost? What if I never come home?" Kida asked many questions to herself, often as a way to find the right answer from within. "But if I go and they find out, I can get in so much trouble and Levi will put it in my face.." She turned her head to the back, looking to where she had come from. She reasoned with herself that if she was able to find her way through a field of grass and weeds, she would be able to find home anywhere. Walking forward, she stared to the beautiful colored walls before her. They had a rainbow glimmer to them, something she had seen in the sky after a rainy day. As she wandered inside, the feeling was different than being out in the open. It was slightly darker and damp inside. A small puddle was in the middle of the road. She could see that the road was a windy one and she could not see everything where she was. Heading closer inside, she barked at the wall. The echo rang even louder than before and shot back at her. She released a laugh and that too rang back to her. "Helloooooo!" she shouted out as loud as she possibly could. Mother and father never let her do anything like this, so being completely free was amazing! |

| - Percy's a bit of a drama king... ^^
The grey, slightly blue mix colored brute kept astray from the center of the cave, allowing his reflection to dance across the walls to his nearest side, and following along it so that he could always find his way back out to the mouth. He wasn't all too concerned with his duties for the moment, considering the pack had held up quite fine on their own before he arrived, he assumed they'd be just fine for but a few more hours as he took some time to explore his new boundaries. It couldn't hurt for the lone healer to gather a bit of where he was living anyway, even if this life was temporary, he couldn't help but acknowledge the beauty nature had to offer in such things as the chasm alone. The cave seemed to give off a glistening array of color, both upon the walls, ceiling and even the floor to where his feet could be seen walking on. Overtime, he had guessed that some water source had long ago flowed through the space, gradually to then dry after many, many years, to what formed a smoother ground. He sensed no cracks or sharp edges whilst walking, and though this pleased him, he couldn't help but feel fear for if someone was watching him. Percy quietly kept to himself as minutes then passed, that itching feeling still causing the hairs on his neck to stand on end. Even his tail seemed to prickle on its own.
It was then did he hear a voice, one of feminine nature and gentleness, but it had appeared so suddenly behind him, his tongue seemed to not want to respond in greetings. This figure seemed to talk to herself, asking her things that could test the game of probability, like as if she knew exactly the answers, but chose not to use them to make the game more interesting. The game of chance. Biting the inside of his cheek, he chose to keep still. From the youth in the one's tone, he assumed this female to be quite younger than he, perhaps a pup if he were certain, but Percy wasn't obliged just yet to judge. As he stayed put, he waited until the younger fae had made her decision, for which was the idea to venture despite the possible punishment. From there, he chose to carry on. The healer may of very well should've been held responsible over the other, but he could remember a time when he was quite young and wished for the freedom of someone to keep their distance for the mere illusion of 'he could take care of himself.' He knew that wasn't all that quite true, if anything, he needed his parents for almost everything, despite the fact he wished for his own time and privacy among them, not to mention away from his siblings. Even though the brute had known of the other's presence, when she wished a giant yell, the paranoid wolf jumped back and toppled into the wall. "Ouch!" He yowled at the pain in his backside, surely an easy fix for him, which caused the cave to shudder from the impact. His weight of course was not all high and mighty on its standing own, but given such the fright and momentum crashing into the chasm's walls, it was enough to make the place stir to life for a split second. Slinking down alongside the cave, he groaned and laid quietly on his haunches for a short while until seeing the wolf appear closer than it had before. As the brute shook his head left and right to rid the pain ironically in his backside, he slowly picked himself up from the ground and awaited there until the figure would notice him. He didn't care to frighten the youngster, he hadn't met one quite like his sister in ages, it'd be nice to find that shelter in someone again. |

| The only immediate response she had gotten was the mimic of her own voice. The small wolf moved slowly, waiting to hear back from anything. Once she did hear a reply, it scared her half to death. The fur along her body rose to stand as tall as possible and her legs began to shake. Kida backed away slowly and eventually screamed a high pitched squeal. "Monster!" she wailed as she quickly turned tail and ran out of the entrance of the cave. Her ears pinned to her head as she forced her little paws to push her further from this land. Kida didn't know hat the sound was or what it came from, but it had been enough for her to flee quickly. The small pup panted, forcing her tongue from her mouth to try and collect her breath. She swore she would never tell another wolf about this adventure, in hopes that her parents would not find her out. For if she had been discovered, she might have been in a world of hurt. Kida exited the area.[Sorry, we can do another thread in the summertime. I will start it.] |
