Collide With The Sky Empty
PostSubject: Collide With The Sky Collide With The Sky Icon_minitimeFebruary 21st 2013, 20:23

The smell of other wolves made her eyes glow a brighter green with joy. Finally she thought. Stepping out of the shadows that covered her features from the trees above and into the light the clearing had to offer, she scanned the clearing for an open area to work on her new den. It felt like home, warm and welcoming with the rich smell of the pack. The sun's light glistened into her eyes, making them look almost a greenish-yellow and her black boat shined elegantly. Walking further away from the darkness and into the clearing she gracefully analyzed the roots of trees to see if there was some soft dirt to dig up, using little work since she'd been running all of the morning and had little energy to get by with. Juno patted the earth in front of a tree's roots, feeling the ground become easy and soft enough.

A joyous and satisfied grin appeared on her peppered maw. Perfect Bringing her paws in front of her snout and clawing at the ground she burrowed a small hole slowly making progress as she dug where the root's started along the trunk. Juno was almost halfway done with her project when she heard movement from nearby. She smelt an incoming wolf, but couldn't tell if it was male or female. Her emerald eyes adjusted to the light as she turned and squinted trying to make out what the movement had come from. "Hello?" she replied in a curious and fascinated tone. The dark fae watched patiently and silently waited for a reply to occur.

Her day had been uneventful aside from meeting up with Damon earlier. Still on her mind she nearly walked into a sleeping wolf as she made her way through the main clearing. Feeling embarrassed Chiara scooted away from the annoyed wolf and found herself on the outer edge of the clearing. Still needing to make a den Chiara quickly spotted a female wolf starting to dig. Curious as to who she was Chiara crept closer until she could get a glimpse of the female. She was a dark black female, much darker then herself and seemed almost flawless in the afternoon sun. Averting her gaze to her front paws Chiara grew ashamed at her own patterned dark fur with scars adorning her pelt. Most had come from her home pack, from her father.

Shaking her head as the memories started to swell Chiara lifted her gaze to see the female now staring at her. Almost blushing Chiara dipped her head to her and sat down. "Hello I'm Warrior Chiara, are you new here?" She asked with a curious tone to her voice. Having not seen her before she assumed she was new, as the pack scent hadn't settled much into her pelt. Still curious the fae wrapped her dark tail around her paws and shifted her gaze so the side of her face without the massive scar faced the female. Self conscious about the scar over her left eye Chiara made a habit of grooming her fur oddly to cover it, though it seemed to draw more attention to it than she wanted.

"I am indeed new, I joined the pack this morning not to long ago actually. It's nice to meet you Warrior Chiara, I am Warrior Juno." She survery the wolf with interest, from her claws all the way to the tip of her ears. She too had a darker coat but not like hers, it was more of a mix where as Juno's was pitch black like obsidian. The fae had faintly visible scars upon her pelt but it didn't affect her point of view of things. Juno had seen far worse sights on the victims that would betray her once-was pack's leader and father Zephren. She remained composed and straightened showing her natural height that was of course, taller than this fae. "I was just starting to make myself a den until I heard a sound. I'm guessing that was you?" she joked.

She watched the fae sit and turn her head to a direction in which she could not see the other side from her position. From her scent it obviously showed she had been in this pack for some time but not long. Juno walked a bit forward to get a better glimpse and stopped once she noticed that Chiara was a bit uncomfortable. She then backed up a step before the fae looked and gracefully planeted her rear against the wet ground. Her black ears pinned against her head as she waited a response from fae, tilting her chin up and a genuine smile across her maw.

(( Sorry it's so short, I was in a rush to finish since it's getting late. ))

"Nice to meet you as well," she said with a dip of her maw. "I have been here for a few moons, how are you enjoying the pack?" She questioned the black female with curious eyes. Having not met all of the members since her arrival Chiara felt almost held back. She had busied herself with meeting only a few wolves and had even neglected to dig a den for herself. Spending the cold night outside didn't faze her, but now with the weather growing colder she wanted a den to keep her sheltered. Juno it seemed had the same idea and was making a good start. Glancing over to her progress Juno spoke again and Chiara answered with a nod. "Yes I was here, I didn't mean to stare its a bad habit of mine." She said with a sheepish grin.

The female then noticed the black fae glance at her fur and a warm flush fell over her face. She hated others gawking at her scars and flicked her ears back as she grew more uncomfortable. An awkward silence followed both of the females' change in position until Chiara finally spoke to break the ice. "So, have you had a chance to explore the territory at all?"

Collide With The Sky Empty
PostSubject: Re: Collide With The Sky Collide With The Sky Icon_minitimeFebruary 22nd 2013, 21:44

"Indeed I am, I was welcomed by one of the caretakers, Creek I believe was her name. Nice fae. She was very welcoming and opened armed to my presence." She stated respectfully for the fae that met her at the border and brought her to the clearing with a grin. Chiara seemed to be on the bit of a shy side for a wolf that had been here a bit longer than her. Surely she would have met at least some of the packmates and befriended them along the way. She was beginning to feel curiosity spark the tip of her tail but she didn't ask, it wasn't her business and it was rude coming from a newcomer. Her gaze slowly made it's way back onto her and she noticed that the fae's amber eyes weren't directly on her but to her progress. She didn't mind for which it hadn't been completed yet.

A sheepish grin then molded across the she-wolf's face after she mentioned about her observing ways just a moment ago. "It's alright, stare away all you want. I don't mind, I've gotten used to the fact of everyone keeping their focus on me." She said not trying to sound modest. It was true, since she was the Alpha's daughter all of her previous packmates respected her and she always had their attention when she walked into around the camp. But, she was blessed with the black coat she inherited from her father that made her a part of the shadows. She benefited her features for which made her look elegant and appealing but also mysterious and apart of the background. Her green eyes were the only color that showed other than her peppered chin and snout. Other than that, she was pitch-black. She had a scar on her chest but it had been overgrown with fur that it wasn't as noticeable. There wasn't a special story behind the scar. It happened when she was pup and had a curious view to the world. Long story short, she went exploring one day and ended up with a raccoon claw mark across her chest.

Her thoughts were beginning to wonder as the silence rush over then but ended with Chiara asking a question about if she's seen the area at all since she'd been here. "Sadly I haven't, I've been too busy trying to get settled in and doing errands that I decided I'd just adventure a bit later. I figured I'd go hunting once I finish with this den, that is if I ever get it done." She glanced at the small ditch a few feet from her sitting postion that she had been able to dig up so far. Her intentions for the ditch were supposed to be big enough for her to stretch her long limbs out and stay warm during the long, cold nights. She turned her skull back onto the fae with a friendly grin still plastered across her peppered maw and her ears pointed skywards.

Chiara smiled at the mention of Creek. The sweet cream fae had been one of the first wolves she had met here in the pack and her warm, caring attitude left a happy feeling within the warrior. Being a caretaker suited the female perfectly and this view of her was only strengthen when Chiara needed her assistance after her run in with that porcupine some time ago. "She is indeed a very nice female, you're very lucky to have been accepted by her and not our Beta Steele. He isn't as welcoming as some others and I don't trust him well when it comes to faes." She confessed then immediately glanced around the caring to make sure he wasn't hiding in the shadows, listening. Males like him always made her uneasy, for they brought up bad memories for the timid female.

Chiara then flicked her ears back as Juno made mention of her staring. "It was still rude." She said trailing off at the mention of it. Even though the female had spent most of her life alone and without a pack she still had values and knew proper manners when she neglected to use them. At the early age of two Chiara ran away from her pack and spent the next two years by herself, living off the land. It was a happy few years for she could finally be at peace and relax from the rigors of her home pack. All wasn't pleasant in her home by the river. Dominated by sexist males life was hard for the few females that lived there. Her mother turned a blind and brainwashed eye to Chiara and her sisters suffering, even when Willow didn't come home one day after a hunt with her father. The abuse of beatings and worse continued until Chiara was of the birthing age for pups, then things got worse.

Not wanting to remember any more Chiara pushed the dark memories deep into her mind and brought herself back to the present. "Its a beautiful place around here, I've only been here since the snow has fallen, but I expect its quite lovely in the spring. I've already seen the river and been to the forest. Oh, and the swamp as well, but I didn't care for the inhabitants to well." She said referring to her run in with that awful spiny creature that had attacked her. "I could show you the forest later if you wanted company." She offered trying genuinely to socialize with Juno.

"Beta Steele you say? Hm.. well if he's actually that bad then I consider myself grateful that Caretaker Creek was there to welcome me instead. I'm not all the big fan of brutes anyway, they don't seem to get things through their head as easily as faes do if you know what I mean." She didn't want the fae to feel so uncomfortable so she decided to pull out some hints of humor a little bit just to keep the conversation interesting. "Thanks for the heads up, it'll come in handy if I ever cross paths with him which will most likely happen sometime in the time I'm here." Juno got up from her sitting position and stretched out her long toned legs. She didn't enjoy having to stay in one place at a time. She liked moving around and burning off energy.

The sun's ray was surprisingly warming her coat and it made her feel at home inside. Her heart felt welcomed and her mind told her she was indeed a place that she could enjoy a new life that was filled with her own choices. Her gaze watched as Chiara nervously searched the perimeter from her postion like as if she was afraid someone, or something was watching us. She must of had something go wrong in her past that had created such paranoia, she thought. The fae reminded her of a previous packmate of her's. She couldn't think of the name since she'd beem running for months but she too was a shy-like and cautious fea, much like Chiara. The older packmate was always secretly watching behind trees never wanting to show her face since she was too shy to speak. Some of the wolves didn't even know she was part of the pack until Juno had found her watching her hunt one day. Juno gave up on trying to think of the name since it was no use remembering and she wasn't like she was a friend of hers.

She locked eyes with the fae brining her back to reality. Juno tended to doze off quite frequently, but her daydreaming habit never interfered when she was hunting, nor speaking seriously to another wolf. Chiara's offer of taking her sometime around the camp sounded nice. When she said that there was a swamp, a look of puzzlement appeared on her face. She'd never been to a swamp-like area before but her trainers had told her what the fae might face when going into one. "It sounds inviting, from what I've seen so far on the way here it seems like a peaceful place to live. Spring is the season of beauty, its wear all the good food comes out to play and the flowers bloom bright colors... A swamp you say? I've heard of swamps but really haven't encountered any. I do however now what can be found in them and the dangers of facing the type of landscape." Her eyes showed a tad bit of fear. "Are there crocodiles...?" Her greatest fear was coming face to face with such a beast, if there was one thing that could scare her off it was a crocodile. Juno remembered seeing an elder wolf in her pack have no hing leg after struggling to free the monster's jaw when the wolf was her age. Her black coat then ruffled with a bit of worry crawling up her spine.

Collide With The Sky Empty
PostSubject: Re: Collide With The Sky Collide With The Sky Icon_minitimeFebruary 23rd 2013, 23:24

"No problem," she said simply with a nod as her gaze fell again on the females attempts of a den. It was a fine start and the female obviously had an idea of how to make a den. Such things were never taught to Chiara, but instead she had learn through trail and error. Countless night of drafts, caved in roofs and uneven floors caused her to learn the art of making dens, well built ones. Up until now she had slept under the night sky and the eaves of the pine trees. Calmness always followed when the fae could feel the wind through her fur, for it left her with a safe feeling, a feeling that she could always escape.

When she found time Chiara would make her own den, one that was on the outskirts of the pack and could see everyone. The female liked to see everything and not be cornered, so the perfect spot would need to be found first. Scanning the area briefly Chiara perked at a spot near a dead pine tree, out of the way yet still visible. Marking it in her head she vowed to start digging later that day if time allowed. Turning back to Juno her mood swayed as she spoke of the swamp and what it held.

"I wouldn't call the swamp beautiful, more like deceiving." She said turning her muzzle ever so slightly so the faint scars of her pointy friend could be seen. "I thought what I was hunting was a harmless rabbit, but instead the blasted thing was some sort of spiny creature that attacked me here." She confessed, adding a sheepish grin. "I know there are things similar to alligators there, scary looking things if you ask me. After I got attacked some young brute tried to have the monsters pull the spines off, luckily I went to the caretakers instead."

A spiny creature...hm.. why does that sound so familiar...? Juno had heard of this thing before but couldn't think of the name of the creature that possessed spines-like body. As she was listening to Chiara her thoughts raced trying to construct an idea of what the name could be. The fae's eyes widen at the name that hit her. "Are you talking about a porcupine? I think that's what they are called anyway. They have these spikes covering their bodies and are kinda the same size as a rabbit. She then looked at the dark fae's maw to see if she could see the quill marks. When she saw the scars her eyes widen. "Are you alright? That looks like it hurt a lot." Juno cringed at the thought of getting spiked with one of those damn things. Ouch. Her eyes caught the embarrassment behind Chiara's smile. She'd be pretty bashful herself if she had to tell such a painful event.

Her brows furrowed once she had mentioned that a brute tried to get the monsters to pull them off. "Why would he do that? That's dangerous if you ask me. Thank goodness you went to the caretakers. There would be a less likely chance of you having the skin on your maw still here if you trusted the brute's idea." Juno didn't mean to sound a tad bit mean, but that was just foolish coming from a wolf. She'd expected the brute to take her back to the camp once she was spiked. Smelling the air of the rich scent of the pack around her, she shook her head and pinned her ears against her skull. The aroma of her new home calmed her thoughts and made it easier for her to concentrate on the more serious matter. "I'll have to keep in mind not to trust this Odin's ideas... I suppose if it leads to more foolishness and danger to myself. I don't want to end up with those swamp monsters biting my face off." She gave a shaky laugh trying to hide the fear that poked at her sides. She was strong, but she knew that those things were ten times stronger and kill any animal that would come across.

The warrior smiled and nodded as Juno put a name to her assaulter. "Yes that was it, dreadful thing it was. Yes I'm alright Creek and Geneveive fixed me up, though its still a bit sore to open my mouth wide." She said as her gaze fell on Juno happily. Feeling more confident with the large female Chiara let herself sit down and her shoulders to relax. Her muscles rolled into a lax position and her breath eased into a steady rhythm.

Having grown up without many friends Chiara found it hard to interact with others. So far Esmerelda was her only friend here and Damon, sort of. The harsh warrior struck something in her that made her want to expand her boundaries, making other friends was a good start. "So, what sort of home did you come from? You seem to know a lot about swamps is all. My last pack lived near a pine forest, so I'm ignorant in swamp wildlife." She said with a small chuckle and a grin at the tall female. Feeling more at easy the dark warrior's gaze now relaxed and she met Juno's gaze with confidence as she nodded to her words about the swamp.

Collide With The Sky Empty
PostSubject: Re: Collide With The Sky Collide With The Sky Icon_minitimeFebruary 25th 2013, 21:19

"Surprisingly, I'm not from the swamp-like area. I grew up in mix between a hardwood forest and cliff terrain. It was beautiful and such a peaceful place to raise young--." She stopped herself from making her feel even more worse. Last spring before the death of her loves ones she had her first pup named Riot. She loved him dearly and now that she was no longer a mother, she felt sorrow always tugging at her heart. The emerald glow in her eyes fainted but she kept on a what-is-now called a fake smile to show no worry towards the fae. "I only know so much about the swamp wildlife is because I was specifically trained by certain individuals at a very early age. They'd tell me what dangers I could face in certain landscapes and what I could do to avoid them or find game to eat."

Juno had then just noticed that Chiara was actually sitting, and from her stance she seemed... almost relaxed. A sigh of relief exhaled from her maw, relieved that Chiara was starting to feel more comfortable with her. "What was it like when you were growing up? I'm sure you came from a lovely place like mine, you're very kind and well-mannered. Surely you were from a nice pack in that pine forest you said." She smiled curiously yet kind way in a soothing voice. If Chiara was starting to feel relaxed then maybe she can try to ease her enough to explain how she got her. Plus, it'd make an easier way of letting Juno herself tell her story, and creating a tight bond between them. Chiara seemed like a nice fae to be around, and she wasn't going to give up on such an opportunity of having a caring friend like her. Her black ear flopped sideways while the other stayed propped on her skull as Juno's emerald eyes were aglow again.

Chiara caught Juno cut off her sentence. Curiosity rose in the fae as to what made her stop speaking about her home pack, had something bad happened there? Not wanting to be rude Chiara didn't mention it, but she did wonder why the female stopped speaking after she mentioned raising young. "Sounds like a nice place, I've visited places like that in my travels, much too high for me to live though." She said thinking back to the small band of loners she met that lived on cliffs. It was too high for Chiara to feel comfortable, for she enjoyed having her feet planted firmly on the ground.

"Wow that's interesting, why were you trained like that if you don't mind me asking?" She questioned, curious as to why the female was trained with such strict ways at a young age. At her next statement Chiara's stance changed slightly at the mention of her home pack. She wasn't one for speaking about her past to most anyone and got nervous the second her past was mentioned. Gulping Chiara cleared her throat and tried to make her voice sound believable. "Well um it was very nice to look at with the pines trees. I didn't see much of it because I left at a young age. The pack was decent enough, nothing like this one though." She said and made the mistake of dropping her head to the right, exposing the hideous scar across her left eye. Realizing what she did she quickly moved her head, but knew Juno had seen the evidence to what her "family" did.

She nodded in agreement. Usually most wolves enjoy being on a higher level, but Chiara was different and she knew that. Juno liked different, it added an excitement to her life if something was odd in a good way to her. Her eyes looked away from the fae as she asked why she was in training at such a earlier age. "The Alpha of my previous pack, or my father, Zephren wanted to put me in training courses when I was a pup so I'd be an exceptional Alphess when I took his throne. I was worked hard every day with the pack's greatest wolves and I learned a lot." Juno's ears pierced against her head as she spoke. "I don't remember one day of my childhood where I actually got to have friends or play with pups my age. My social life didn't even exist because of how much training I had." She gave a long sigh of hatred. "I'm surprised that I'm even able to communicate properly without stammering or running out of things to say, Haha.

Lifting her head to face Chiara, she noticed that she had a strange look to her stance. Almost as if she was uncomfortable about her question she'd asked about what her home was like. She was beginning to feel worried, she didn't even realize that there could be more to Chiara's home than there was to hers, and not in a good way. Maybe I should of been so forward... When she had mentioned she'd left as an early age Juno had become curious despite the fact it wasn't her business she asked about it anyway. "You said you left at an early age, that must of been interesting living on your own in this big world of ours. What was it like?" Her eyes gleamed with interest. She didn't know what it'd be like to leave the pack and live on her own. She'd been with Ace when she had fled and they lived off each other's support, so she didn't know from another's point of view. "Sounds like it would rough."

At the sight of Chiara's scar that was now exposed to her emerald eyes widen with concern. Juno had only caught a brief glance at the scar before the fae had realized that it was now being uncovered to her. She had wondered where the scar had come from but didn't ask. It'd be extremely rude of her to ask such a personal question about it. And from the looks of it, it made Chiara self-conscious and uncomfortable. Shaking her head at the rambling thoughts that were trying to construct a theory she glanced back up the fae with a smile like as if she had never noticed it. Juno was just starting to make a new friend and she didn't want her running off from her being nosey with her personal business.

Chiara picked her head back up and gave a small smile to the female. "I think you do well for not growing up with other pups. I too never had any friends growing up or played, but my social skills are far from yours." She said, averting her gaze to the side quickly. As a pup Chiara did have no friends, except for her sister Willow. The two were inseparable until she vanished after a hunting trip with her father. After that she stayed to herself and spoke to no one, even after she left the pack she stayed away from large packs and lived by herself. She could only remember one loner that she knew for a few weeks, but she ran off with some brute and left her alone like usual.

Juno's next question gave Chiara a shiver, but she fought through it and held her head up to answer. "I didn't really have a choice in the matter of leaving, but yes it was interesting visiting different lands and packs. I missed my home pack at times, but living on my own proved better in many ways." She said with a forced grin. Chiara then caught Juno glance at her scar and look almost upset. Thinking fast she fluffed her fur up to make it look less bad and grinned. "This? Its nothing just a scratch." She said quickly to get it over with. Trying to change the conversation she looked to Juno's den and cept her eyes there. "Its a fine start to a den. I visited a pack once that lived among trees with low hanging branches, they slept there instead of dens. If I tried that I'd probably knock myself out in a dream." She chuckled, trying to change the focus away from her scar.

Juno smiled in return to Chiara's relieving words of her social skills. "That's a relief, other than Creek, you are the only one I've encountered since I've been here. Sad to say that Creek had duties to be fulfilled and left me to the clearing to myself to make a soon to be finished den." She glanced at the uncompleted den behind her and frown. Her gaze when up towards the sky and looked at a cloud that was passing over them in what seemed to be the shape of a flower. Juno's chest expanded and filled her nostrils with the soothing scent filled-air. "It's a shame she had to go, it'd would of been nice to know her a bit more. She seems like such a nice and well-mannered wolf to be around. The kinda fae that doesn't give trouble or do sneaky things behind one's back, you know?" She then turned her head around and stared into Chiara's eyes.

Nodding along to her words once more her eyes trained onto the scar that was marked upon the side of the fae's face. Her brows furrowed at Chiara's fur being fluffed to make it less obvious. "That's definitely no scratch, Chiara, I can say that for sure." She held up her right paw and revealed a scratch she'd gotten when she was a pup out exploring. "That's a scratch. Don't take it personal, I've seen many of those scratches in my older pack and it doesn't phase me. You don't have to worry about it being such an issue around me just for the heads up." She smiled generously hoping Chiara would relax and trust her.

Her eyes trained to Chiara's gaze that led to her den behind her sitting position. She turned back again. "I suppose, but once I'm finished it will be quite cozy and fit my needs of an expected den. I hope to make it big enough for two wolves so then I'm able to stretch during the harsh nights. I don't see myself as living in lower branches. There'd be a higher chance of me clumsily falling and twisting something. Haha, knock yourself out eh? That would be quite amusing, imagine what the caretakers would think when they see your unconscious body lay there." She giggled at the funny thought.

Chiara smiled at the compliment and met Juno's gaze happily. Being compared o the sweet caretaker was an honor and made Chiara's heart pulse with embarrassment. "Creek is a nice fae. I met her by the falls the first day I was here and she seemed very sweet. She also helped me with my nose, she has a almost motherly quality about her." She stated as she looked up to the sky to see the same cloud, odd weather they were having. "She's probably searching out herbs that have survived the snow so far, I remember the healer of my home pack never stopped moving she was so busy. Perhaps we will run into her again for I too would like to get to know her better." She said with a smile and a flick of her tail.

Averting her gaze to her paws below Chiara felt the emotion in Juno's voice about her scar. It wasn't something she liked to talk about, but she hated stringing the fae along with lies about ti being nothing. Almost smiling at Juno showing a true scratch she cept her gaze on her paws and spoke. "I know its not a scratch Juno. It was a punishment from someone in my old pack, I deserved it for I defied them when they asked something of me. My old pack didn't set well on females not doing as they were told, so this wasn't uncommon." She mumbled out, still looking down.

Glad she then changed the subject Chiara lifted her gaze to Juno's den. "I'm sure you'll finish it soon, be trained in that area and all. I had to teach myself how to dig a den and I spent many nights covered in dirt from collapsed roofs and cold from drafts." She said hoping to raise her spirits. Nodding then to her comment about a large den her mind wandered to the idea f she too should make a den big enough for two, but who would want to share it with her? "Oh yes, they'd probably toss me out for being too much trouble. First a porcupine then falling out of trees." She joked and let out a small chuckle.

"My pack had several healers, almost too many. I never got to seem them because I stayed away from the battling unless Zephren said I had to go help out. It was a very rare occasion that I actually talked to at least one caretaker in a week. Creek reminds me of my mother, gentle and kind-hearted." Chiara's smile warmed her, and she thought it was good to know that she had accepted the compliment about her being like Creek. Her gaze averted to her scar that was barely seen now that she had fluffed her coat. "I don't think you deserved such a permanent mark. If your pack was so strict on females about being proper, how come you got one?" She was concerned, Chiara seemed very composed and didn't seem like the wolf to step out of line. Juno cocked her head to the right and curled her tail around her. The dark she-wolf kept her head down as Juno spoke in question.

When she'd mentioned about her den her emerald eyes glanced in Chiara's direction towards the den again. "I've been doing it for a while, nothing new to me. I tend to have a cleanliness disorder weirdly enough. Being clean is very important to me, if I feel dirty I'll spend hours on getting what ever is in my fur out. If you want I can help you with your den. You probably need to be starting on it since its almost going on to evening." She looked up at the blue-pinkish sky and the sun disappeared behind a cloud taking the light away from the clearing. "It won't be long until I finish my den and I'm going to keep watch tonight anyway. I have enough time to assist you in completing a sufficient den." She turned and smiled at Chiara. "I'm pretty sure they won't throw you out for causing so much trouble. Everyone make mistakes and we learn from them. I'm sure they'd understand, besides the porcupine was an accident."

Nodding along with Juno the female waiting for her to finish speaking about to Creek to interject. "My pack only had one healer, a old female with more bite then most brutes. I only saw her once when I had a cough as a pup, but she was no where near as kind as Creek. I can't say she was like my mother for she gave me little attention as a pup." She said trailing off at the end. This Juno was making her speak so much more threads of her past were coming unraveled, why was this? Chiara had never been one for speaking of these things, but something about Juno made her feel somewhat comfortable in letting some walls down.

"Well um my father was the Beta of the pack and everyone had to listen to him. He asked me something one day after I turned one and I refused him. He took it out on me this way and got what he wanted after." She said almost too fast for her to think. Had she just blurted out that her father had then raped her? She hoped Juno would drop this after that answer and not push her further. "I did deserve it" she then mumbled and looked back over her shoulder at the spot where she wanted her own den.

Feeling uncomfortable about Juno offering to help Chiara simply shrugged her shoulders, "You can help if you like thank you." She said feeling less talkative now.

Collide With The Sky Empty

After listening to Chiara's words she felt a trigger of a nerve in her brain tell her she should not of been so forward. God, Juno why can't you keep your mouth shut and curiosity to a minimum. She didn't mean to make the fae feel so uncomfortable. I guess that's what you get for being such a pest sometimes... "I'm sorry about you're father, it seems you had it rough growing up." She was completely oblivious to why Chiara seemed so frightened at the moment. Oh no what did I say now? The dark fae mumbled something to herself but it was too fuzzy to make out from her hearing. She strangely watched the female look into an open area that was free to make a nice den at. Juno hadn't thought of taking that space but the tree's roots acted as a type of wind defense to keep from the cold winds blowing into her soon-to-be den.

The female simply shrugged and almost didn't care for her offer of help. She bowed her head a bit since she wasn't looking and her emerald eye's glow fainted as she stared at the thin blanket of melting show at her paws. "Chiara...." she said in an apologetic tone. "....I'm sorry for being so nosy, I shouldn't be getting into one's business, especially me being just a new member. I shouldn't of been so forward. It's my fault if you don't want to speak. You probably want to start making your den anyway...." She slowly got up from her sitting position gazing up at the female's build. It was something that was a sign of respect if someone apologized for their obnoxious actions in her old pack. The previous pack's rules and signs of respect were in grounded into her mind and it was an instinct to her to do as they were to be done inorder to get appreciation. Her long black legs made her tower over Chiara's by a little and waited to see if she'd accept her apology in return.

Collide With The Sky Empty

Juno's words fell over the dark female like a veil. She could hear the sadness in her voice mixed with confusion as to what she was referring to. Relived at that point Chiara shook the negative feelings out and through a grin at the fae. "Don't worry about it, its not your fault my home pack wasn't very nice. We come from all walks of life, but in then end we are all the same are we not?" She said as she stepped closer to Juno. Feeling even worse that she had made her new friend upset her maw jutted out and nudged the black female playfully. "No need to apologize friend, you didn't upset me. No, the memory itself is what did, but as it spills out the sting lessens." She said trying to cheer her up.

Looking back to the spot she wished for a den an idea popped into her mind. "Here's an idea Juno. Since its getting late what if I help you finish your den, share it with you then in the morning we could work on mine. We'd certainly be warm enough with the both of us and that way it would go faster." She suggested, curious as to what Juno thought of the idea. Some wolves liked their privacy and some liked a warm den. Chiara didn't care either way for all she wanted was for Juno to brighten up from their gloomy conversation about her past.

Her eyes sparked a bit of emerald specks slowly dancing in her irises at Chiara's forgiving words. A nudge to her shoulder made her rais her chin back up, gazing back up at the female. She straightened her posture and grinned happily. "We are indeed in then end are all the same. Different backgrounds and personalities but we are all a wolf that have had difficulties in life." Her soul was relieved at the fact that Chiara was being understanding and taking her sign of respect in acceptance. A sigh rolled out of her chest. Juno could feel the tension on her shoulders be lifted and she relaxed a bit letting her shoulder blades go lifeless. It made her stance a little less dominant but she didn't care since she'd already proven she was a proper fae earlier. "I'm glad you feel that way, in all honesty I seem to be more comfortable around you than I usually am with other faes. I didn't really interact with faes my age before I went into training either. I guess that's why it feels so strange to me...hm..." she chuckled a bit. "Haha, oh well."

At Chiara's next words her soul boasted with jubilance. Her shadow colored tail wagged vigorously hitting her sides with every swish. She didn't want to let it look like she was acting like a little pup for which she was a more composed individual. Live a little, Juno. And calm down. She stopped with her tail wagging and fidgety stance. "I'd love too. It'll be so much more easier if I had your help anyway." She nodded to the plan of working onto hers in the morning. "I don't mind you sleeping beside me, I like a warm den at night. I think it's going to be a bit chilly tonight anyway so it'll be nice to have a friend to accompany me." She smiled and turned to the side a bit. Juno wanted to get the den over and done with so she could go get something to bring back for them to feast upon for supper. Chiara was probably hungry now that time has gone by so fast since the beginning of their encounter. Juno's stomach was feeling a bit empty herself and needed energy to keep up on watching out for the pack later tonight after she rests...

Bringing her gaze to Juno's a wide smile grew on her dark maw. Feeling lifted up by her friend's happiness she let her own tail wag slowly, a move somewhat foreign for her. It even confused herself as her eyes glanced quickly to her own wagging tail, as if she couldn't believe it could still do that. With her gaze back to Juno her smile continued to grow as she spoke of how she liked her. "I too feel comfortable around you Juno, please forgive my initial hesitation for I too haven't been around others very much. Now though I consider you a friend, one of only......one I have" she said with a chuckle as her small sense of humor peaked out. It was a rare thing for the dark female to crack jokes, Juno was doing a very good job of relaxing her.

Now her smiled stayed and her chuckle intensified as she saw Juno almost quiver with excitement. "Well I'm glad you approve, shall we start? I must apologize if I toss and turn a bit in my sleep, I get nightmares occasionally. If that happens feel free to kick me or something." She joked feeling even better with her new friend. Walking over to Juno's half built den she tested the dirt with a swipe. It was frozen and would take a lot of work to break through, but she was willing to help. "How steep with the entrance be? Is it going straight down? To the side a bit or just shallow?" She questioned remembering the different types of dens her pack mates would make, all different in their own way.

Collide With The Sky Empty
PostSubject: Re: Collide With The Sky Collide With The Sky Icon_minitimeFebruary 27th 2013, 21:02

She was surprised that she was her only friend, so she too was her one real friend. Creek would of been her first, if she knew a bit more about her but Chiara had taken the postion happily. Juno laughed at the fae's sense of humor. She didn't expect her to be so open and funny so quickly to her. Usually a friend over time would open up but the connection the two shared was bonding stronger and faster in every moment. Juno laughed a bit harder hearing the great joy the fae was having at watching her act jittery and so unlike herself. She gave a small sheepish grin from a tad bit of embarrassment. The black fae never knew she could be shy, she had always been a confident and accepting fae of her actions. Oh well.. she thought carelessly.

She nodded her head with a lopsided grin to Chiara's question of starting. "We shall. You're kicking and nightmares won't be a trouble. I have a tendency to stretch my limbs in my sleep so I apologize in advance" Rotating completely she walked towards the unfinished den and examined it as she listened to her friend's question. She cocked her head and stared the den as she thought about it for a second. The ground was still frozen from the winter but with enough muscle power Juno could get it dug up easier enough for Chiara to pitch in. "I'm hoping it would be steep enough for me to be able to stand.... I want it to have it to a side. Directly underneath the roots almost I should say. My older den that I shared with my family was like it and it filled enough for all three of us. This will give us enough room for your kicking and my stretching." She snickered to herself. With the help of her friend they could get the den quickly done before the sun sets.

Collide With The Sky Empty
PostSubject: Re: Collide With The Sky Collide With The Sky Icon_minitimeFebruary 28th 2013, 21:06

Sending a smile at Juno's comment the dark fae then turned her body towards the den site and started to dig. It was hard to break through the frozen crust, but after a few minutes Chiara could start to dig into semi soft dirt. Dirt stained her fur and got stuck between her toes, but she continued to dig. Soon the decline was deep enough for most of her to fit in. Turning to Juno she shock her fur out slightly. "Hows this? If its deep enough we can start on the main area."

Having built a few dens in her life digging in the frozen dirt wasn't as hard as she originally thought. Listening to Juno's preferences for the den her paws worked quickly to carve out the beginnings of a opening that would turn into the sleeping area. In her old pack her family had a huge den with a few carved out knocks that her and her siblings slept in. They proved to be quite comfortable and when they were too big to ft in them the pups cept rocks, bones or in Chiara's case feathers. Birds always fascinated the fae even at a young age. Hours were spent gazing at the sky wishing she could fly with the crows and sparrows. Her most prized possession was a jays feather which she wore on her fur until her father ripped it away. Perhaps one day she could find another feather, better one.

"Looks good, I grew up in a massive den so the bigger the better. It looks like it's deep enough to start working on the general area..." She examined the beginning of her project and thought it was best to make it as big as she could without it collapsing. She then nodded. "Okay." Walking up to Chiara's side she put her black paws in front of her snout and plowed through the frozen dirt like she did before she met to wonderful fae. With the help of her new friend's strength combined with hers they were able to make the outline of the den's entrance that would soon be where they'd sleep. Her black chest and paws were being covered in the rich dirt as she burrowed her way underneath the roots.

If her thoughts were correct this den was starting to look more like her older den back at home...Home.. A pinch of guilt teased at her empty heart. She kept her gaze on the ground along with her digging claws as the guilt poked at her insides. It'd been months since she had seen her mother's sweet smile and her loving father that she had come to realize that she was no longer with her family anymore. Juno was on her own, no family, no pup, and no Ace... The fae closed her sorrow-filled eyes as she worked her muscles and back into the ground.

After minutes of digging, Juno backed off a bit and breathed her thoughts away. Looking at her work in progress she smiled happily. "It's looking great Chiara. Hey do you mind if I call you Chia, or Chi for short? If you prefer your name otherwise I understand." Her peppered snout was now tinted a dark brown from the dirt and snow. As she inhaled one last calming breathe from her nose a piece of dirt was forced into her nostrils making her sneeze wildly. Damn, that hurt. She blinked her eyes a few times and composed herself. Shaking her skull first her body copied her head's motions and shook out the dirt from her black coat.
