Developing Minds [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Developing Minds [Open] Developing Minds [Open] Icon_minitimeJune 24th 2015, 16:22

The white male walked through the lands towards the sounds on the waters ahead. He had no direct intention of wandering into the neutral lands, but had nowhere else to wander off to at the time. Nothing particular was on his mind. Just a wandering brute in look for a companion for the night. The stars danced in the dark blue sky above as the moonlight reflected over the water's surface. It was fairly warm for it being late in the evening, which he found a bit odd. Nothing was on his mind, just the peace of the falls. His hears perked as some crickets were audible through the sounds of the rushing waters. For the first time, Malachai was relaxed with a happy mind and heart. Blood and death didn't swirl his mind. He was happy at that moment, and knew a little company would hurt for the evening. Perhaps, a fae would wander along and capture the devilish brute's heart and turn him for the better. It was a thought that floated through his head quite often. Would it be better for him to avoid the ways in which he used to live? Would he be a happier wolf if he moves on? He really was unaware of what he would decide. He was conscious of his decisions and actions. He thought about the things he had done in his life. Was he actually proud of killing his own siblings? Was that something that he should've left his home because of? Deep down, he knew he regretted his decisions as a young male. He knew he missed his siblings and his parents, but he knew he couldn't change the sins that would forever dwell in his body for as long as he lived. It hit him in that moment. He wasn't happy with himself. Sure, he found Teren's ways of rule fascinating, but they were wrong all the same and he knew so too. Just never admitted it to himself. Blood, gore, and death were all that his being consisted of. He wanted to change. He wanted to be better. He wanted to be healed from the self inflicted scars that would forever reside on his soul and heart. Shaking his head, the brute realized he had done wrong. A cry was coming from his chest. A long, sorrow-filled howl was soon released into the night. It was clear that he regretted his decisions. Nothing at that moment mattered to him. Nothing other than the idea of getting better. Healing himself into a better male. One who his children would look up to, rather than a vicious male who forced them to kill their family, pack mates. It was as if the devil himself climbed up inside the brute's head and took control.

Minutes went by, and nothing else was on his mind. Was this really his changing point? His time to change himself for the better? He pondered over the subject for many minutes. He wasn't sure what he planned to do. If he changed, he would have to hide himself from his pack mates. As he knew Erenyx was a dark and malevolent pack that would quickly kill a traitor who did not agree to their way of life, but if he stayed, he may have to participate in things that he would swear not to do any longer. It was a choice he had to make, but had nobody to consult. nobody to reassure him. Though he was an adult, he was still young. He had no guidance of a mother or father as a pup. Never knew the comforting feeling of having someone who truly cares about you hold you close and make you feel safe. Malachai uttered once sentence to himself, alone in the forests. "For even the toughest of wolves need love." He knew it was true. Love was a topic many didn't discuss in the pack of Erenyx. A topic of which Malachai himself had never spoken of to another wolf. Only within his thoughts, he could truly be himself. Only in his thoughts, he could speak his mind. He wanted to run. Just run away and forget the world. He wondered if anyone would come to his aid. He needed companionship. He craved it. He just sat there, staring into the dark waters. His blue eyes soft, for the first time. He just waited for someone to save him from himself.

Developing Minds [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Developing Minds [Open] Developing Minds [Open] Icon_minitimeJuly 3rd 2015, 17:44

It had been a week since the worst day of her short life. A day when evil itself reared it's ugly head open her happy home and tore away literally everything from her. All of her siblings were dead. Willow, her trusted anchor was slain before all others, thankfully quickly. Her older brother was thrown off a cliff, and though they never did get along she still wept for him. Then there was Ciro, there had been no sign of him in the chaos, so naturally she too thought he was dead now. Still she had her parents, but they too seemed dead to her. Her mother, though trying to protect her, failed and now seemed to go off on her own then spend time with her. Her father? He hadn't even tried to save the pups, only Chiara and he failed at that too. She hated her father right now and wanted nothing more than for him to be dead and Willow back or even Ciro and Aspen. He had never cred about her and Willow, only his precious sons who were now dead. Kicking a rock at she stalked far from the pack lands Piper knew she'd be in trouble if either parent caught her out here. She could give two rat tails for what they thought at the moment, for all she wanted now was some time alone. Her heart pained for her loss siblings, but she longed for solitude from pity filled eyes of Erenyx. She wanted to escape her father's pitiful moans for his lost sons or his mother's sighs and silence.

Breaking into a run Piper ran through the night, her muscles soon burning as she pushed through the pain. Sleep hadn't come ti her in several nights and was beginning to have an effect on her. Growing more and more angry at life and everything in it she lept at bushes and flowers, smashing and crushing them. She let out furious growls, snarls and barks to the crickets and kicked stones into the void of night until her paw was bleeding. Finally she let out a anger filled howl and threw herself on the ground in a splayed out fashion. "Come to me death, for nothing more can hurt me now." She whispered before finally closing her amber eyes. She didn't care if a grizzly would come right now and kill her. Let it come, anything would be better then how she was feeling right now.

Sitting in silence, the brute was undisturbed by anything around him until his ears picked something up. An angry howl and a few snarls came from behind him. Before he turned his head, he saw the other wolf out of the corner of his eye. She flung herself onto the ground after her tantrum. He could already tell she was a young wolf as he would've never seen an adult do such a thing. Wondering why someone so young would be in the neutral lands to late at night confused him. And how could she have gotten away from the pack without anyone noticing? Raising his haunches off the ground, he stumbled a bit over the stones that resided by the water. He moved towards the female with no intention on hurry, stopping when he was looking over his where he stood. He spoke, his words soft. "Why are you all alone out here, apprentice? You should know that these lands can be dangerous to you youngsters, especially at night. No matter how safe you think they are." His eyes were soft, still caught up in his own demons. Still curious to what the problem was with the little female, he questioned and let her know that he was aware of where she had come from. "Now, I know you are from Erenyx. I recognize you from the.. events that occurred the other day. I'm very sorry for your losses, my dear." He dipped his head to the little female in respect for what she had been forced to go through. It was horrid and no young wolf should have to kill their own siblings for the entertainment of their alpha and for him to laugh at the sadness that clearly swelled through the parents of the lost young. Anything was better than here for many of these wolves, by this point. He wanted Teren to fall. Hard. He was a terrible wolf for making young wolves do such a thing. Malachai wanted him dead, and soon.

Piper was jarred awake by the sound of the approaching male. Opening her amber eyes to see him standing over her she rolled over into a sitting position. "I'm simply out here for a walk sir and the dangers don't bother me. I am a good fighter and even if a predator were to kill me what would it matter?" She said, dropping her gaze. Her depression of the other night hung deep within her. Covering her like a dark cloud she cared little for her own safety out here at night. "So what are you doing out here?" She finally questioned, trying to get the focus off her so that she may blend into the darkness once more.

"I am Piper, daughter of Chiara the now former Beta and Magnus" she said giving her father no rank to mention. Her anger reached out mainly to him for she felt that if anyone could have stopped the madness it would have been him. No, he didn't even let her mother help, only sitting on her and yelling out while she was attacked. The male started speaking again and as he spoke of the other day her ears flicked back and her eyes grew dark. "I appreciate your sympathy, but don't waste it on me. No one can possibly know how I feel. How it felt to do what I did or watch your family die." She snapped, looking down again. Without knowing who to blame she simply put most of it on her parents who failed to protect her, they were to blame for this.

PostSubject: Re: Developing Minds [Open] Developing Minds [Open] Icon_minitimeJuly 7th 2015, 08:07

She lay by the waters edge, eyes dark and unfocused. The neutral territories had pretty much become her home these past few weeks. No longer did she wish to interact with her pack, what was the damn point anymore? She was so confused and lost and wasn't even fully sure why. This place was full of damn monsters! She sighed and shook her head, what was she thinking? Wasn't she just as bad as them..she was a demon, she had done absolutely terrible things and would again if need be. She was a machine, void of all emotion, right? She wasn't so sure anymore, was her wall beginning to fall? She grit her teeth and stood, lashing her tail from side to side. No, she was a warrior- a built fighter and that was it. She did not need to care about anything else. She had been craving the company of one she could trust recently and it was annoying her, never before had she sought the company of another. After Fell died she had been perfectly fine by herself for years, was it to change now? No. She would not let it, it would only weaken her. Growling softly the fae waded out into the shallows- feeling the waters lap hungrily at her thick creamy stomach fur. Samael had thought her how to swim, well not really, he had merely been in the waters and watched as she got about it herself. Still, if it had not been for him she wouldn't know. Still it caused her slight nerves, water wasn't an enemy you could fight. Once it decided it wanted to claim you you were a goner.

Taking a deep breath the ghost like fae waded out until her paws could no longer reach the bottom. She then kicked out strongly with her hind legs, using her fore legs to thread through the water and there, she was once again swimming. Her muscles burned and the cold seeped into her bones but still she swam strongly through the waters. She reached the falls themselves and squinted against the spray from the falling water clashing against the calmer settled waters. As she began to fully tire out she turned and pulled herself back to the shore, pulling her body from the cool liquid and giving it a thorough shake to try rid it of the majority of the wetness clinging to it. However it would probably remain damp for quite a while yet thanks to how thick it was. The large moon offered no warmth and the stars looked cold and emotionless from here, the fae shivered slightly. She really should have thought it through before entering the cool waters at night, with nothing to dry her the dampness would cling for a while which could lead to a cold which then could lead to worst illnesses. A sigh left her, did it ever end? What a cruel world they lived in, was its beauty all just a trick to hide its cruelty? Blinking her dark hazel orbs the Warrior froze when catching the scent of others brought to her with a chilling breeze, seeming much colder to her due to her damp pelt- now clinging to her frame.

She turned in the direction it came from and could see two wolves, a white pelted male and another smaller fae- an apprentice perhaps? After focusing on them and taking another deep breath of their scent as it drifted towards her she could tell they were also of Erenyx. Her first instinct was to turn away but after a few moments she padded towards them- why? She was not sure. When reaching the two she blinked, why the hell had she approached them? She had no valid reason and stood there for a moment, unsure on what to say. She then straightened, banishing all emotion from her gaze, at least she still could hide the emotions with ease. Blinking neutrally she dipped her head in greeting. "Greetings, I hope I did not interrupt anything? I am Tundra a Warrior of Erenyx and recognized the two of you as fellow members or Erenyx, thought it wouldn't do much harm to come join you's unless you were both busy with something?" She blinked, completely still siding the occasional shiver rippling along her spine form her damn damp pelt. This was more like it, her mind had returned to its void, calm, cold self and she relaxed slightly.

[I hope you don't mind me throwing Tundra in here. I'm not sure what I'm doing with her personality at the moment so apologies if she's a bit all over the place :|]

[Completely welcome to join, Tundra! No worries about her personality, it's al good. :3]

The apprentice woke with a start and addressed him as 'sir', which he found appropriate for a young wolf to address a stranger by. He knew she had good manners and personality behind her, but she soon became dark. She spoke to him in a manner in wasn't normal from a young pup. He looked down at her, still as relaxed as he could be, and spoke. "You may think you're strong, little one, but there are always dangers that could injure you severely." He cocked his head to the side as she said some words that confused him for a moment: Even if a predator were to kill me, why would it matter? He was slightly shocked at why this young wolf would say such a thing. "Why would it matter? Because you have potential, kid. If you really don't like it here, you could go off and do whatever it is you wish. You understand that, right? I know this is a horrible place. I know." He looked at her, knowing the pain she felt and the death wishes that swelled through her mind. He understood what it was like to feel such a way. Me? Well, i came to relax and enjoy what peace is left in the environment we live in. Reflecting on my past." he nodded, telling the young female. He was being too soft. He was not a hardened criminal, but he was in no way a soft brute. Some just wander along at the moments where he is plainly a teddy bear. He listened as she spoke again, stating that nobody could understand what it feels like to go through such a thing, and at this moment, he was determined to how her otherwise. "You say nobody could understand how you feel. To kill you friends and siblings. But guess what, little one? I understand. You see, my past was dark and revolved around the torte and death of anyone who challenged authority, such as Teren. I killed my own family, my friends, my own brother. And now, looking back on what I did because I was young and stupid, I regret my decisions entirely. But I did it because I was brainwashed and told that's what I had to do to survive, or ultimately, be killed."He told her about himself a little bit, fearing that it may scare the little female. but soon, the silence was broken by another approaching wolf. Another female as she introduced herself to the two. She was white, like him. The first white Erenyx wolf he's met. He smiled to the female and spoke out towards her. "No, my dear. You are not interrupting anything nor are we busy. I am Warrior Malachai. It's a pleasure to meet you, Tundra." He nodded, and looked back to the little apprentice. "It seems I haven't caught your name, little one?" Realizing he didn't know the pup's name. He was curious to why this other female is out here all alone. He had never met the either of them before, but hoped they were kind enough to not want to rip him into shreds for saying the wrong thing, as he still makes mistakes consistently. He looked back to the water's edge where he was previously sitting, and smiled as he could still the the moonlight's reflection of the surface of the water. For a spring night, it was oddly chilly. He thought it was quite peculiar that it was colder than usual, but he supposed that it was from the cold waters that changed the temperature around them. As he awaited responses, he sat down, lowing his haunches into the pebbles and gravel that remained around the area where the apprentice had swept them away.

Soon the pair were joined by a white fae and Piper picked up her head to glance at her. She cared little for how many others joined their band, all that mattered now was that she said what was needed to say. "I told you my name is Piper sir." She said a little harsh, looking down once more. "As for leaving this place it wouldn't make a difference to how I'm feeling nor change anything. My family is gone both dead to the world and to me. I am alone in this pack, so ll I can do now is train harder and get stronger." She scowled raising up to her feet and kicking a rock into the lake. The male continued to speak, this time of his own tragedies. The young fae listened partly, but continued to kick at stones. "Look unless you watched your own family die and abandon you before you're eyes you do not know how I feel. You may have killed others as I did, but I doubt your own family turn their backs on you and your siblings." She said much louder this times as her eyes squeezed shut.

Growing annoyed by the conversation Piper started to kick violently at rocks into the lake. They grew bigger with each kick until she shoved a rather large one in with a splash. Growling to herself in her fit she leapt into the chilly water up to her knees and dug at the rock beneath her feet. Feeling her skin break and blood swirl around her paws she continued to scratch and kick, letting the pain bring her clouded mind out of it's dark shield.

The male greeted her in return however all she got from the apprentice was a quick glance before it looked away. Raising a brow, Tundra turned her deep hazel gaze to rest on her fellow warrior instead as he stated his name. Malachai.. Nope it was unfamiliar to her, obviously her first time to come across the brute. She was humored by his similar coloured pelt. Erenyx seemed to hold a whole lot of dark pelted wolves not helping with the stereotypical impression that those with ebony pelt's tended to be much more evil than those with their ghostly light coloured pelts, like freshly fallen snow. She leaned back on her haunches beside the male- however keeping distance between the two. She had no idea who he was and despite his large smile that seemed all to genuine for a wolf living in Erenyx she was just too used to getting tricked and trust was something rarely given to others by this warrior. Her attention returned to the young apprentice as it snapped her name to the brute, adding in how she had already told him this. Piper... Once again, completely unfamiliar. She had not realized just how bad she was when it came to knowing her own pack. Shifting her position she shivered slightly as a breeze once again cut through her damp pelt with ease. Dammit Tundra you're so stupid... She scolded herself as her body broke into uncontrollable shivering however she ignored the plain signs of what could only lead to a cold, or worse. She was interested by this troubled apprentice as it broke into a rant. It seemed like she had missed half the conversation but it was quite easy to tell at least part of what had happened.

Had the young fae mentioned something about suicide possibly? And he must've tried to comfort her by telling her he knew how she felt and now she was growing angrier and letting him know he was wrong. She sighed knowingly, of course. Even she hadn't missed the news of the fights that Teren had forced upon all the apprentice's of this pack, many dying. She knew the ruler of this pack of demon's was quite sick in the head but that had just gone too far. At least his actions used to have some reason behind them, that had just been bloody unnecessary! She would not take 'killing off the weak ones' as a stupid excuse, he had killed the young that could have been trained into fine warriors for his pack the idiot. For every two strong apprentices there had been, one had been slain by the other. She growled softly to herself. As the youngster before her finished speaking and progressed to kick at stones sending them tumbling into the waters angrily, Tundra felt something twitch within her. Maybe sometimes going strict was the way to go, if Piper was in any way intelligent she knew that the want for sympathy had likely worn off and she was probably just sick of it. What she probably needed were a few stern and secure words and Tundra would give them to her. Standing she padded over to the bank in a few long strides, tail lashing behind her as Piper threw herself into the waters and began hurting herself as she tugged viciously at the rocks beneath her.
"Piper right? Look here, you think you're the only one in this damn pack that has suffered in the past when it comes to family members turning on you, others getting torn apart before your eyes or killing them yourself? Because you're not! My own family was torn apart before me and I couldn't do anything tell you why? It was my bloody fault! I was alone, not one soul on this earth probably even knew who I was or cared anyway. Or if any did I can tell you now they did not care for my health and safety, probably the opposite actually. So get out of that water right now and for crying out load stop hurting yourself. Think seriously for a moment, you're clever right? What help is that actually doing? Did you care at all for your siblings, they died because they had no choice yet you'd give up yours just like that with opportunities still within your grasp? Don't be so selfish!" She stepped back, eyes blazing and resumed her original position beside the brute. Hopefully the apprentice would actually think her words true and realize that Tundra merely understood what being sick of others worthless sympathy was like and just wanting them to realize she didn't need it! If only she had had somebody to get as strict with her and pull her up before she had gone and made ridiculous choices she could never undo.

A moment later she asked simply, voice returning to its naturally soft but cold and emotionless tone. "Who is your mentor?" She was not sure if she had one but she was interested to know who was meant to be in charge of this youngster and if they had realized the turn in emotions after the awful death matches. Her damp tail accidentally flicked off Malachai's haunch and she blinked apologetically in his direction, shivers beginning to take hold of her with even more strength.

Developing Minds [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Developing Minds [Open] Developing Minds [Open] Icon_minitimeJuly 14th 2015, 18:00

Nothing but resentment and anger surged through the pup's words. At her snappy tone towards him, a low growl escaped him. She believed that she was completely and utterly alone? How foolish. For many of the wolves that lingered in their pack had come from a dark history. He was sure that Tundra did as well, which he soon learned as the female snapped and gave the young apprentice strict wording. He had been relieved that she did so, as if she had allowed Malachai to, he would have been unforgiving to the pure idiocy Piper spoke. He listened as Tundra ranted to the pup about how wrong she was to believe such a thing and that many of them had come from broken pasts. He was in complete agreement with the other white coated wolf. He spoke just as she finished her rant. "Tundra speaks truth in he words. For you are not the only one here who has lived under conditions that have caused mental and physical scarring. You are not alone. Many of us here have come from places very dark. I killed my family. I raped an innocent because I was molded into a monster. I had the mindset of Teren. To bring nothing but pain and suffering to those to doubt me or questioned my authority. I thought I was big and bad until I realized how terrible these things were. And only by the revilement of my own self conscious. Nothing can ever change what I've done, and I hate myself for all that I did. Yet, I love myself for understanding that everything that I had done was wrong and only those who preform such actions and believed they are not in the wrong, are truly evil. You have to understand, Piper. You must. If you don't, nothing will ever get better. If you wish to kill yourself, then do so. I will not stop you. If you really believe that your life is so bad that it's not worth living, you shall die a fool." Malachai stood beside Tundra, speaking to the young female as he would his own daughter. He couldn't believe this pup was ignorant enough to believe she was the only one who understood what pain felt like. Shaking his head, he sat back down. Rage still lingered in his throat and lungs from the words that fell from his jaws. His eyes were cold as he looked at the pup, still astonished by her words. But they soon soothed as he noticed that the white female was shivering more and more violently by the minute. He was concerned for her health as even in the spring, hypothermia can always attack at unexpected moments. Looking at the female, he spoke. "You shouldn't be out here too much longer. You shouldn't risk her ignorance for your health. As I would offer my own body heat, but I'm sure that's an offer not willing to take. As I said, you need to be getting back to warm yourself." There was so hint of direct kindness in his voice, he was just concerned for his pack mate's health. Indeed, if she so accepted, he would attempt to warm her if she refused to leave until she got through to the young one. But although that was an offer most Erenyx wolves would never suggest to one that they had no romantic interest in, he was only offering to assist. As females were not a priority in his mind for the time being.

Malachai looked back at Tundra as she asked the apprentice whom her mentor may be if she had one. He also wondered who was responsible for this pup, as he surely would have a talking to do with them if they allowed there protégée to act in such a manner. Even more so, blaming that parents for their child's behavior, but he understood that it was a difficult time for both Magnus and Chiara with the death of their sons and daughters. Out of all, he blamed Teren and his unnecessary ways of life. For what was the purpose of these pup fights other than his sorry excuse of "killing off the weak"? Even the smallest of wolves could become the strongest of leaders. It was all a matter of heart and work ethic. He remembered a pup by the name of Aspen, a fine young lad. He would have made an excellent warrior if he were placed in a different life. Others didn't belong here. They couldn't handle the quality of life in which they had to live. Although Malachai has no hatred for either of the two packs that roamed the same lands, he knew this was the most brutal and only the intelligent and strong could live under Teren's rule of terror. He did wish to go elsewhere, as Erenyx was not his home, nor would it ever be. It was all in a matter if time before the white demon made his exit from hell itself.

Developing Minds [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Developing Minds [Open] Developing Minds [Open] Icon_minitimeJuly 14th 2015, 19:56

Piper's mouth and throat felt hot and closed off. She felt like coughing and gasping for breath at the same time as it felt sucked from her lungs. Inside she was twisting and spinning while the outside seemed to grow slow like thick mud. What a mess she was in. Stopping her relentless kicking she turned to listen as both warrior yelled at her. Her chin started to quiver and she felt her claws curl to grip on to any shred of reality she could find. Lowering her fiery gaze from the stern warriors her eyes squeezed shut as their words filled her mind. She so wanted to rise above all of this, be strong and prove to herself that she was meant to be alive. On the other hand life was painful now with most of her family dead and the remaining at loose ends, how could she go on?

"I don't want to die, but living hurts so much right now, how do I go on?" She questioned both of them. If she could cry she would be at this moment, but instead her chin remained in a quiver and her shoulders drooped forward, making her look small and helpless. "I miss my siblings so much, I don't want their deaths to be in vain. I know my mother loves me, but she's so distant now, talking about the outer lands and whats beyond them. My father.......I don't know what to think about him right now." She said her brow furrowing a bit. "I have no mentor, my last was Beta Fel before she left. I shall get another mentor, but not for a little while I need to sort things out, but dying isn't an option right now." She said trying to pull herself together. Tundra spoke more and started to blast her with stories about her past. Soon Malachai joined in and Piper felt rotten to the core. Seeing how selfish she had been she shared their pain and slowly exited the water. Walking over to Tundra she pressed her forehead into her shoulder and closed her eyes. "I'm sorry Tundra for my actions. It's wrong of me to think I hold all the world's pain and sorrow when I clearly don't.I'm sorry to you too Malachai" she directed at the male as she stayed pressed against the fae, feeling her shiver from the cold.

Developing Minds [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Developing Minds [Open] Developing Minds [Open] Icon_minitimeJuly 16th 2015, 09:16

It took Malachai no time to be up by her side with his own strict words. She was grateful for the brute's support in her actions but she did not wish to exactly scare the youngster but merely get it through to her that these actions were pointless and sometimes the only way to get this through to someone was to drop the sympathetic act and get real and forward with your words. However she did not interrupt her fellow warrior and allowed him to speak to Piper as her own gaze drifted towards the twinkling stars, so far from this chaotic world and so peaceful...yet also so cold and the bright white balls of gas almost seemed harsh in the serene blanket of darkness coating the earth. Frowning she turned away, ears flicking and gaze shadowed as she returned her focus to the current situation. She watched as the apprentice's chin began to quiver, sharp gaze softening slightly and she was about to turn to the snow pelted brute to say that that was probably enough but he had already finished and she nodded as he finished- slight anger still evident in his azure orbs. The evil deeds he'd committed in his past did not phase the warrior, if anyone knew what it was like to preform acts one thought thy could never recover from yet were trying their very best it was Tundra. Although this did not mean she trusted him or anything, no. Trust took time to earn and was an extremely delicate thing one should not let anyone ever play with unless they know that this was someone who would look after it, someone you could trust. However right now the young fae needed her full attention and Tundra quieted her roaming mind and let the apprentice have it. Their words at least, had seemed to work as the youngster pulled herself from the water with a trembling chin and questioning words. However there was no longer any fire or accusation behind them at all and she looked younger than before as her body seemed to pretty much deflate and droop making her appear small and helpless. Tundra flicked her tail to the side, now was the time for comfort. "It is tough now yes, there is do denying that but it will get better some day in the future. Maybe this pack is not where you will live in a few years time. I do not even know what holds me here to be honest..." She murmured, trailing off.

There was a few things that stood out to her, one being Samael but even Steele's son was likely to be dead after facing the monster leading this pack. Sighing she shook her head, gaze flicking to the brute beside her as she noticed his icy orbs soften in her direction and she realized he must be aware of her shivering. She shook her head, trying to brush off his concern. "I'm not going anywhere." She managed to get out between gritted teeth, which den even belonged to the fae anymore? She wasn't sure, she disliked sleeping in the center of Hell but preferred to stay out where the land was neutral. A being who had given herself up to Hell and would not be able to ever join up with Heaven again because of it yet was disgusted by the going on's in Hell itself, stuck between the two of them. She had not pushed away his words at him possibly sharing his body heat as it was so very tempting to the ghostly Warrior but she could not bring herself to admit it so she remained in silence. If he did attempt to possibly help ease her shivering she probably would not protest but she wouldn't ask him to, no, she did not want to appear weak even if it was another packmate. But what did being packmates even mean here? From the death and cruelty she'd witnessed, she'd say it meant very little to most.

She once again turned to little Piper as she spoke. She remained in complete silence and let her complete her own words before saying anything. "Their deaths were not in vain young one" She murmured finally. "They died so that you could live. And that is a good enough reason for anyone, they will not be forgotten. They were fine warriors and are now in a place much better than here. But you cannot join them as even though their souls are now at peace they can never experience what it is like to live, and that is something you do not realize how important it is until it is taken from you. So live Piper, live for your siblings that could not." She whispered, wrapping her tail around the youngster as it leaned against her shoulder. "Maybe you're mum is right. Maybe there are lands out there that can be escaped to. Maybe one day your parents might start a pack of their own, much better than here and you can go and be heir to the throne. Imagine, Alphess Piper. Leader of the best pack that does not make anyone fight to the damn death like that idiot does here." She knew such words against the alpha were dangerous to say aloud but she doubted Malachai would tell Teren and if he did than she would leave before he got to her, there was little left here for her. "And give your dad some time, this place...it change wolves.."

She sighed and nudged the pup comfortingly as it apologized to the two and nodded slowly. "It is alright Piper, you are forgiven." She murmured softly. So she no longer had a mentor, Tundra would offer herself up to help train the young wolf but she knew it deserved someone who could stay committed to their job. Tundra wandered and she was unpredictable and had yet to decide what she was going to do in the future. Piper did not deserve that. She let her gaze flick over to Malachai as she continued to shiver slightly and attempted a half hearted smile in his direction before turning back to the apprentice leaning against her shoulder, hazel gaze softer than it had been in a long time.

Developing Minds [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Developing Minds [Open] Developing Minds [Open] Icon_minitimeJuly 16th 2015, 15:31

His heart broke as the young apprentice came from the waters with a quivering chin. He did not mean to scare her, only to give her the words that she desperately needed. Something drove him to joint the two females. He moved himself directly beside Tundra, feeling her said against his. Wrapping his tail around her and the young Piper. He bent his head down to the young she-wolf and nuzzled her. He normally would not show this kind of affections to anyone, but he considered this a rare moment. "Now, now little one. No need to cry, my dear. For now you understand that feeling sorry for yourself was not the way to go and I'm proud of you to understand and forgive." He licked the pup's cheek, sitting back up to his original posture. "Your family still cares for you, Piper. They seem so distant, but they are truly a lot closer than you think. Talk to them. I promise you, talking to them will help. I know your mother personally and I guarantee you she will understand. It's not their fault you had to do what  you did. It was Teren's. He's a fool Ignorant. It's his fault. He's the killer, not you. You're mother would've tired to kill the bastard if Irrationality hadn't been ordered to stop her." His cyan eyes were soft and it pained him to see Piper in such a state.  He looked at Tundra, he didn't know what else to say until she mentioned leaving Erenyx. "I believe my time here is limited.." He murmured, barely audible to hear. He wasn't sure if either of the females heard him, not that it mattered. He wished to leave this place. It filled him with dread and reminded him too much of where he came from, how dark it was. It was something he never wished to experience again, yet there he was. He wished to leave, and when the ghostly female spoke of the possibility of Magnus and Chiara running away and building their own pack, Malachai knew he would join them in an instant. This was not a place to live happily. You could not possibly live happily here unless you were the demon himself. Malachai described it as the weather. It was as if the other two packs had umbrellas when it rained, but Erenyx had none. As the storm got worse and worse, they were forced to take the beating weather, or die trying to fight it. Teren was their storm, and they needed a rainbow. Soon.

Looking back at Tundra, he shook his head. "Fine, then we may as well find somewhere to take shelter for the night since none of us seem to want to go back. Not that I really slept there anyway." Malachai hadn't slept in the dens often at all. Most of the time,  he spend his days wandering the lands. Basically a rogue of the pack lands. He took shelter in old burrows and dens of larger first animals during the night, alone. Nobody had ever joined him on his odd lifestyle of living in a pack. A pack in which he no longer wanted to live in. He didn't feel comfortable sleeping with wolves he didn't trust. It bothered him that he was no closer to any of his pack mates than his own self. He remembered a large abandoned badger set that was not too far from where they sat. He knew it was risky to return back there with these two and no explanation to why he was alone with them if someone happened to wander along and spot them. He had no intentions other than to keep them safe, even if he didn't know them well. He had a sliver of trust for Tundra after her attempts to show young Piper the truth. He figured if she cares enough to stop a pup from staying angry and hostile for something not of her own fault, he could trust her enough for the night. He spoke and looked at the two. "I have an old badger den not too far from here which I've been staying rather than in the dens. There's enough room for all of us if you both would rather not go back for the evening." He nodded, offering his temporary den to the two wolves. Hw was unsure if they would take his offer, but for it did not matter. If they wished to take refuge with him for the night, then so be it. If they wished to go back the the pack dens, he would not try and convince them otherwise.

His white coat seemed to be a light shade of gray in the night, as the Tundra's. He looked back down to Piper, and he nosed her head up with his muzzle. "You are more than forgiven, little one." He smiled a little and nuzzled her once more before he wrapped himself around Tundra again as he wanted to assist in stopping the shivering of the two. Her cold fur send chills up his spine as he could feel the cold through his own fur and lightly touch his skin. He knew they both needed to be warmed soon, or sickness would soon set in. He was concerned for their health, even if they were still strangers to him. His azure eyes drifted to the crescent moon that hung above their heads. He smiled slightly and watched as the stars danced through the night sky. He didn't say another word, just simply watched.

Piper continued to nuzzle into the female. Her soft words brought her out of her dark place and soon they lifted her spirit enough to relax a bit. Sighing Piper let her shoulders relax and her back go slack. Lowering her tired body down she nuzzled closer to Tundra, now laying down on the cold ground. All that had happened seemed to melt away in her mind, or at least dull for now. She understood that it had happened for a reason, and now she was left to experience the life her siblings could not. She would become the best fighter in Erenyx just for Aspen, even though they didn't get along well. When ever she would spar or train with her future mentor he would come to her mind and she knew he would help her gain strength. Ciro would keep her curious and help with hunting. In time Piper would seek out Magnus for clarification and possible forgiveness and it would be because of her brother that she would do so. She would also be smart for him, cunning and always think things through. Lastly she would be gentle and kind for her sister and always remember to have fun as she did. Unlikely to ever be a caretaker like her perhaps one day she would have a daughter of her own and name her after her lost sister. The memories of her fallen siblings were bittersweet in the young fae's mind. Tasting bitter under her tongue Piper tried to remember the happy times with them and pull strength from them to make it through this.

Soon the male's words went through her and made her question what she heard. "What do you mean your time here is limited? Is it because you fear for your life from talking badly about our Alpha?" She questioned, figuring Teren wouldn't approve of treason. "I know he's our leader and what happened was horrible, but don't we still have to go along with it because he decreed it? I thought that was what we all pledged as members of Erenyx, to serve no matter what." She said a bit confused to the male and how he spoke. If he didn't like things here then he should leave, for only those loyal should be in Erenyx. Tundra then spoke of her parents and Piper sighed again. "My mom speaks of leaving and my father agrees, but won't that make me a coward for running off? I want to be a strong and confident warrior of Erenyx, one that I can be proud to be. How can I be proud of myself or live to further the memory of my siblings if I run away with my tail between my legs? No, I won't leave unless told to, I will live here even if my parents leave. I have faith things will turn around for the better, but I can't keep running away when things get hard." She stubbornly said, raising to her feet as the adults nuzzled and licked at her. Feeling better all of this attention was starting to get mushy. The fae's stomach growled making her grin sheepishly when Malachai mentioned staying out here for the night. "Well if you two are staying I doubt either will let me walk home alone in the dark. I'll stay if you two do." She said as her stomach growled loudly once again. With final words of forgiveness Piper at last felt improved from when she came out here. With new found determination for staying her next goal would be to land a mentor to train her. She wanted someone to train her hard and not go easy on her, if only Fel hadn't left.

Developing Minds [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Developing Minds [Open] Developing Minds [Open] Icon_minitimeJuly 20th 2015, 18:06

A brief few moments of silence fell between the three and Tundra shut her hazel gaze- feeling slower than usual and sudden exhaustion pulling her down and down...Shiver's drained her energy and her tail lashed with frustration, this was not an enemy she could physically fight, and she hated it. Gritting her teeth she let pearly white claws sink into the damp and soft earth beneath her, but otherwise appearing calm and composed to any onlookers. It was partially for Piper's sake but even more than that it was because that was how Tundra lived, emotions did not rule you as much if you kept them locked up. Once you let them escape and show they controlled every action you made- she was beginning to worry that maybe that cage was beginning to weaken and that little slivers were escaping.

She let her ears fall back against her head and sighed heavily, breath visible as she puffed it out and frowned, typically the one night she chose to get  soaked in the middle of nowhere was also a night surprisingly cold for this late into Spring. Felt like the world was trying to rid itself of her and she fought down the urge to let out a bitter chuckle, the last thing she needed was either of her companions thinking she was crazy. If it was true or not, who even knew? What exactly was the definition of crazy? It seemed to come in a whole lot of different forms. Maybe everyone was crazy and they just didn't know it because their definition of the word was different to others, for some odd reason this thought comforted her. Her sharp hazel gaze was once again visible and had been for a while now as she must have opened it at some point to have seen her breath forming in a little cloud. As she glanced up at the sky, still aware of the little Piper huddle against her, her eyes seemed to almost glow as the moonlight reflected off them. Malachai had moved beside the two and Tundra felt herself stiffen for a few moments as their bodies made contact but soon she could feel the warmth travelling through his body and she surprised herself by finding it in her to relax against his dry fur as he leaned over and nuzzled Piper. 'Look at us.... She thought to herself 'We must look like a happy little family, funny how easily one could mistake us for a perfect and happy family...if only they knew.' She shook her head sadly, so many lived in these lands with such terrible pasts that they could never recover from, such a shame.

She only half listened as Mal gave his own comforting words to Piper, after all, they were for the apprentice not her. Flicking her tail from side to side, she sat between the two- hazel gaze restless as it finally came to a rest on the dark waters nearby- the moon appearing to be in pieces as every breeze disturbed the water's usually still surface. She turned back to the conversation just as the white pelted brute spoke of how his time as a member of Erenyx was limited which was then instantly met with a question from Piper as to why exactly he said this. As she spoke, Tundra listened on with a frown. After a few moments she spoke, voice slow and thoughtful. "Not necessarily no. We have to follow Teren's rules as long as we are a part of his pack but that does not mean we cannot have an opinion which can be good or bad. Some just choose to act on these thoughts, however as a loyal pack member you should serve your pack, it's just that some no longer feel that this is a pack worth serving I suppose." She frowned to herself, uncertain as to what was her honest opinion on the matter. Tundra watched her evenly as she proceeded to speak about her parents. She liked the kids' spirit.

"I personally would not call it a weakness but if it is a warrior of Erenyx that you wish to be then so be it, maybe things will get better. No one can be certain. If I am to leave or not is not decided nor do I care all that much. I have no ties in this pack but I also have no ties outside this pack and I have lost the interest in searching for any. But if your parents do leave I will not consider them weak, they are merely fed up with Teren's ruling and are maybe even braver then all of us for Realizing that it isn't the life for them and actually taking action" She stayed sitting, letting the apprentice lean against her without a word. She turned to her fellow Warrior as he began speaking of finding shelter and nodded in agreement. She was not going back to the den's, of course not but there was no point in heading off by herself and plus, she was pretty sure neither of these wolves were a threat and if they were then it was her fault if anything happened, to be honest she could not care much anyway. He spoke of a badger set not too far off that he had been using rather then the pack dens and Tundra blinked, so he was another that didn't like sleeping in the with the pack. There seemed to be quite a few of them. She stood and stretched each leg in turn before nodding to Malachai.  "Sure, lead the way." She turned to Piper and nodded as the youngster agreed to go with them. The corners of her maw twitched upwards at the sound of the apprentice's rumbling stomach- she was hungry.

"When we reach the den I think some food is needed. Piper you can hunt for yourself as will me and Malachai, I'm pretty sure Fel covered hunting with you yes? Just because you have no mentor at the moment doesn't mean you can't continue to train yourself so we'll see what you can bring back hm?" Her words were stern and ready to get strict should the apprentice protest, she would need to know how to fend for herself. The shivers had decreased and Tundra felt strength returning to her, maybe she would beat this cold after all. She turned to the white pelted brute and murmured a quiet "Thank you." For only him to hear before pulling ahead with a brisk walk although she kept focused on the direction he was headed since she did not know where this makeshift den was. She supposed she had him to thank for helping with the saving her from falling ill although her pelt was stil slightly damp it seemed the worst was over.

[This is terrible but it's 2am and my 3G and my mobile is not co-operating. There will probably be mistakes.]

Developing Minds [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Developing Minds [Open] Developing Minds [Open] Icon_minitimeJuly 22nd 2015, 10:53

Silence fell momentarily between the three wolves. He was unsure of what he was supposed to say at that point. All he could really o was sit there for a minute, huddled next to the shivering warrior. He could feel her body trembling at his side. He kept his body close to ensure his heat was doing some good to her. Looking down at Piper, he sighed. Tundra had already began answering her questions. "Not because I fear for my life, Piper. Rather because I don't fit in here. I don't wish to live under one I lived under before. I don't believe Teren is even a decent Alpha. Why would I serve under one whom I don't trust nor believe is a good lead?" He questioned the little apprentice, wondering what her thoughts may be. "For Tundra is right. I don't wish to serve under one who does such things.." He trailed off, sadness lurking in his words. "But that does not make me weak, nor does it your parents if they so wish to leave Erenyx. It's a matter of what one believes is right and wrong. A wolf could still rip your throat out even if they leave a pack they swore to protect. It's not weakness, but more like bravery. Having the courage to leave somewhere that they knew that isn't a place they want to live. I'd rather live a life in happiness somewhere where I'm comfortable rather than somewhere where I can't even trust most of my own pack mates. it is not weakness, young one. It may be to Teren, but in all truth, he finds all of us weak." He nodded, looking at the younger wolf as he gave her a deeper answer to the questions she proposed to him. No quickly wiped away any sign of emotion as he didn't know what Tindra would think of such displays. He wasn't sure if he could trust the ghostly warrior quite yet.

He listened as they discussed the subject of his temporary home not too far from where they sat. He was relieved that they had both accepted is offer. "Alright then." He heaved himself off the ground, shaking his pelt loose from any debris. He looked at the other two, wondering why they had both agreed to join him. They had barely met him and yet they were willing to stay with him overnight. He listened and nodded in agreement to Tundra's words to the hungry apprentice. "Sounds like a plan." He began to walking in the direction of the den, it would take them a little over ten minutes to arrive where they would stay. Before he got too far, Tundra had come up to him. Thanking him for easing her shivering. He nodded, whispering back to her. "No need to thank me." He smiled a little and moved forward towards his den.

They were silent the entire way there, not speaking too often, or at all for the matter. Soon, they were in feet of the makeshift den. He crawled inside to make sure there was enough room for the three although he was already sure there was. It wasn't the biggest, but it was large enough to keep them close enough to gather to stay warm through the night. He pulled himself back out into the night where the other two stood by. "There's enough room for the three of us, but we may be a little closer than you may like." He looked to Tundra, unsure of how she felt about the subject. It didn't bother him if they were trustworthy enough to want to stay with him for the night. He looked up through the trees and cocked his head. He was attempting to calculate what time of the night it was, but to no avail. He looked at the other two, speaking again. "I'll try to find something to eat, and bring back a little extra if needed. I'll be close by if I'm needed by the either of you." He looked at Piper, his voice soft. "Be careful. Both of you. As of now, you're bother under my protection. I'm responsible for the both of you. Don't make me regret my offer." He nodded and trotted off to find something to eat.

Developing Minds [Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Developing Minds [Open] Developing Minds [Open] Icon_minitimeJuly 22nd 2015, 20:02

Piper let the words of the adults sink in and her mind reeled in confusion. Her parents and the two spoke of leaving to gain strength yet she still didn't understand. Fel had taught her to stand her ground in a fight, and living in Erenyx was quickly turning into one. By leaving Piper saw herself as backing down, submitting even if it meant a happier and better life. She wouldn't want that hanging over her head, even if it meant more pain. No, she would stay at least for now and improve her skills. She'd make Teren change his mind about how weak fae's were, she'd make his see. Not speaking this to the other the young fae nodded her head at the words and walked with them. Walking along they continued to speak about strength and how they were fed up with Teren, but Piper only half listened. Mentally extenuated for the day she only wanted to eat and sleep now.

The den came into view and Tunda told her to go hunt. Nodding at her request Piper walked off a ways, flicking her tail at the male's words to stay safe. While under the training of Fel Piper had picked up hunting tricks, mainly for rabbit. Her mother, however, had taught her the art of fishing which Piper had mastered in her spare time. Walking back towards the lake the fae went to a sheltered spot by some weeds. The water was deep here and she knew fish would be napping in its shelter. Slowly inching her maw to the water she saw a silver fish below her. By going slow the fish didn't even know she was there until a large splash erupted and the fish was tossed on the bank, flapping around. Jumping at it the fae took a swift bite to its neck and it seized movement. Proud of her work she pushed it to a safe spot then caught two more in the same fashion. Fish were quite dumb for after the water stilled they returned to their peaceful existence, until Piper's fangs found them. Happy with herself she grabbed all three silver fish and walked back to the den. "Here we are, hope you both like fish."
