Altair decided to explore the lands that he would now be calling his home, considering he needed to be familiar with each place in case of an emergency. Altair was a thoughtful type of wolf, making sure he knew at least a rough layout of the land. Altair’s bright silver blue eyes were warm as he walked through the woods. The sound of water flowing caught his attention, and his ears perked up. Did agavos have a stream in their territory? A line of trees was blocking his view of the river, and he had to weave his way through the tightly placed trees to stand on the bank. His paws sunk into the ground a little bit, but it didn’t bother him, it was cool against his rough paw pads. He looked at the river, seeing some scum on the edges but other than that it was clear. He had a feeling in the warmer months it was completely covered and uninviting. Today it was clear and sparkling with the sunshine that was above, and it was a calming place to Altair. He stopped in his travels to see the land and took a seat in the slightly wet grass on the edge of the bank, and looked at the river. The water bulged as a snapping turtle came up from the bottom and it made a gurgling noise before disappearing once more. I will be careful when swimming here. He thought knowing that it could be dangerous for any body part in that water. Relaxing in the sun, warming his fur, and watching the fish and turtles in the river was the highlight of the day.

He hadn’t met any other wolves yet, besides Desoto, and wasn’t sure if any other wolves would come find him here. It was place that was a bit secluded, and Altair had a feeling he would be coming here when he had the chance to be alone. He had been alone for so long that he did crave the accompaniment of others, but the thought of having a place to go to relax made him feel more secure. Altair was nervous about seeing other wolves, one was ok, but a whole group of them made him slightly nervous. On the outside, Altair was calm but on the inside he felt like a slight wreck. He huffed out a breath, letting his heavy chest press into the ground and he rested his head into his paws. The quiet noises of the tree frogs was comforting and it reminded him of the nights he couldn’t sleep and sat listening to the sounds of the forest around him. A breeze slithered through the trees, and it ruffled his fur as it went by. He sat back up, shaking his ruffled fur and leaned down to drink from the cold water of the river. His tongue lapped up the water, watching the tadpoles swim around. He pulled back drops of silver water dripped off of his chin, and he was tempted to jump in. He shook his head and turned around looking at the line of oak trees. It was quite strange to see trees bordering the stream like they did, but it was also nice. It held a lot of mysteries to him, and he was curious as to why they grew that way.

Padding quietly along the clearing's bend, he scavenged for fresh grass to use as a softer texture for his den's floor. Now after having gained a strong full recovery, with the exception of a minor limp from his shoulder, Striker had been managing on his new home. Or at least, his temporary one, he liked to believe, having convinced himself that this place was only a shelter he'd use until his safety back home was promised once more. He'd then restore to Erenyx ranks and fulfill his duties as would the rest of his pack. The apprentice was stuck in this dull illusion that things will regain full closure, and he'd be able to look back on these days within this pack as a few laughs. But as time still moved on quicker and quicker throughout the deranged spring, he slowly lost hope in ever being able to return. After his sudden visit with his previous mentor, and newly trusted older brother, Samael, he was at a loss of words in knowing now that he might possibly never be able to return. He sighed heavily, pieces of grass flying back against the ground before standing back up right once he inhaled. The dark brown, black and white ashen male tread forwards and ripped the little hairs of green from the earthly soil before collecting them onto a tray of bark he had ripped from a strong shedding oak tree. Once the pile of grass was completed, and he was content with the mass of how much he had plucked with both his claws and teeth, Striker lifted the bark piece into his mouth and carried it quietly over to where he resided. His den consisted of a rather wide entry, leading beneath the body of a dead oak stump. It's roots seemed to make a wonderful structure for when he started building the walls, packing the dirt tightly enough so that it would not collapse during the strongest of storms to ever hit these lands.

Sprinkling the pieces of grass upon his den's floor, he spread them thoroughly around in a thin display, covering it inch by inch until he reached satisfaction. As he shook the dirt free from his coat, he gathered some more blades just in case and used it as a double layer to insure he had a completed soft coat to lay upon when night fell. Once finished, he admired his work and huffed, glad to be finally threw with his tasks of forming his first official temporary den. It was now big enough to suit him as well as another, though his chances were slim for an apprentice just yet, asides the fact he liked to sprawl as large as he possibly could whilst in his slumber. With the need of fresh air, the wolf began to walk around the pack forests, swatting at mangy flies that intruded into his personal breathing space and grunting at those that would bite at his dark ears. He quickened his pace to avoid any other nips and loud buzzing, which gladly worked in his favor, as it got him to a place faster and decreased the amount of irritation bubbling inside him. As he reached a swamp-like area, he analyzed his surroundings carefully, watching for any others in the area, as well as predators on the look out for a plump pup on their claws. Once the coast was clear, the smaller wolf emerged slowly from the shadows and kept a low profile as he walked along the water's edge. The grass was reasonably high, tickling the hairs of his underbelly, whilst dragging against the forearms when he passed on by. Sniffing the ground, his ears turned back to the sound of someone near, scenting at the air quietly to find out that another was near by him after all. The apprentice then stalked after the smell to be found just short of another male, one of adult, full-grown size, and dusted with a black coat, blue eyes that appeared a bit brighter than his in color. He watched the other quietly until recognized.

"Do you have a thing for trees or somethin'?" The apprentice said rather rudely, but chose not to correct himself for he didn't care. He had a plain face on, no emotion to give away the sudden curiosity he had that ran through his head. With perked ears and a relaxed tail, he eyed the other whilst keeping a bold stance. He didn't feel threatened at all by the other brute, for this male was a strong resemblance to his father. As much as this did bother him, he couldn't help the fact that there were a lot of blue eyed black wolves there seemed. If only they could all disappear so he wouldn't be forced to see his father's face again. Wouldn't that be something, he thought bitterly among himself.

Shifting his weight to one side, Altair was able to receive more of the sun’s warming rays on his back and side without it being directly on his head. His large pink tongue had rolled out of his muzzle in a heated pant, before he turned back to the river to indulge in the cooling liquid, satisfying his need for a drink once more. Lifting his large cranium, and shifting his body back around, he gazed at the trees once more. They were very thick oak trees, wide bases that became slightly thinner the higher up they went. Being this close to the riverside, over the years the thick oaks had collected their fair share of soft moss that seemed fresh and plump at this time of year. I will have to return here to use this moss as bedding. It won’t dry up until the cooler winter months. He thought as he looked over each tree, his gaze following the thick branches. Each tree seemed to be connected by a branch or two, making pathways for smaller animals to escape from one tree to the next. It was a perfect area for any wolf looking to be alone with the land and thoughts.

His thoughts were less cluttered, and the darkness that was always thick and cruel in his brain was lessened by the weight that had been lifted off of his shoulders. Crushing loneliness, and despair were just two of the many feelings he had encountered in his life, and since being accepted into the lands of Agavos a change had already begun. His feelings were always a bit mixed, and with being accepted and put into a new pack he was still having some confrontation in his mind about everything. He had made a promise, an oath, and he would keep by it. With his thoughts in a less dark place, he could naturally focus on what to do next. He could continue walking through the lands, or find his way to the camp both appealed to him. He breathed in the sweet spring air, different scents of prey and sweet grass made his day just a little bit better. He let out the large breath he drew in with a huff and looked to his left down the river. His curiosity peaked and he wondered if there were falls near. He didn’t hear any distinct rumbling that falls produced, but that didn’t mean that Agavos didn’t have any. Sighing, he glanced back to the trees, looking in between them at the horizon beyond.

The scent of another wolf tickled his senses and he glanced over in time to see a dark brown, black and ash grey male wolf standing just a few feet from him. The male’s scent was infused with Agavos, so he knew not to be tense but he was. He silver blue gaze held a sharp coldness as the male rudely spoke to him, and his lips peeled back to show his fangs in annoyance. His features spoke louder than his words ever were, rudeness was not to be tolerated.I like to appreciate the land that I tread upon. Most young pups, like yourself, don’t really know how to slow down and enjoy finer things. Everything can be ripped away in a moments notice.” He said his voice deep and rumbling, he didn’t like rude wolves, and he wouldn’t take any rudeness from an apprentice. “Why are you out here? Shouldn’t you be training with your mentor?” He asked his blue gaze narrowed into fine slits as he looked the male up and down. He smaller but he was lanky with some build of muscle mass. He would be a handsome young male, but his attitude, well his attitude would get him no where. Altair straightened his posture a bit, his left shoulder a bit tweaked from his awkward position of sleep he had the night before. He waited the male to answer, observing his expressions, and movements.

The subject gave off a rather negative response, he smirked, why was he not surprised? Though Striker didn't seemed to be moved at all by his words, that is, through his facial features, whereas internally he could feel a burning fire within him ready to blow from his ears. He was easily angered, and as of late, there was a large list of things he had in order to be mad about, the most important being that he was stuck here, while another reason is being compared to everyone else as if he were a nobody of little importance. As he behaved himself enough to not dare rolling his eyes before the warrior, despite him not being quite afraid, he sighed inwardly whilst stepping casually to the side where the shade seemed to find him. "Don't act as if you know me, stranger. If you knew me you'd know I already know that, and have experienced them enough, too soon. I do not need another lecture upon being grateful for the earthly soil we live on." The apprentice spat, his lips curling just as high over his sharp teeth as did the other's when responding. His voice was low and rasp, his throat hoarse from all the thyme he had swallowed among the passed few days just in order to sleep through the pain and misery he was dealing with during recovery. He was quite thankful enough that he is able to live another day, but couldn't the adult know that he already knew that? How rude. He'd come to hate a lot of older wolves, that asides his previous mentor and current. Narrowing his eyes to the other, he grunted and dropped the intimidating display before resting quietly in the grass.

"Why am I out here? Why are you out here? Shouldn't you have duties to fulfill, Warrior of the pack." Striker retorted, shifting the other wolf's words around to create a mockery of the male in front of a snide apprentice. "In due time I will be training beneath my mentor in the afternoon or unless called sooner. He's been quite busy with dealing with the pack's injuries after a pack gathering was held to hunt a larger, dangerous prey. What's it to you?" The younger male glared at the other, sizing him up even though it was quite noticeable that the other was quite tall compared to him, but not in a large difference. In time, he'd be as tall, but until then, he'd sourly be forced to look up at all these elder wolves and listen to their useless knowledge unless he truly felt it necessary. What bothered him most was that Agavos element was so far from Erenyx, he'd have to play coy to get what he so wished, whilst in his natal pack, if he proved dominance, he'd be gifted. His arrogance was only a portion of that, if he truly wished to get a greater reaction out of these wolves to prove maturity, he'd have to tone down his usual demeanor. "I asked a simple question, perhaps not in the tone you find most respectful, but back where I'm from, it was considered normal. An apology is what you might be looking for from me for the rudeness, but I'd prefer you not refer to me to the filth of a younger offspring. I'm a year older, and have experienced more than what my age should.." Said the wolf calmly, his dark eyes softening slightly as he relaxed in the darker portion beneath the trees. The grass was soft to the touch, cool against the pads of his feet and tail. He leaned more so on his stronger shoulder, relying on that to help ease the agony found in the opposite one. He'd groan quietly, his face pinching together in slight pain until the weight had shifted.

When he first came to these lands, three scents had over whelmed him and the first he chose was Agavos. The other two were still a mystery to him, but with the other two packs in mind, he had a feeling that perhaps Striker was not really at home here. He wasn't sure and asking was not in his favor. The rude male would only anger him more, and he would only push him away. "Lecturing is on only for mentors and elders, you asked if I had a thing for trees, I told you exactly what I thought. I will do it again too." He paused and stared at Apprentice Striker, his blue eyes sharp. "I do not know you, and won't ever act as if I do, until I do." He grunted, and flicked his tail watching the male curl his lip and then drop the attitude. He shook his head and looked back to the trees as he started talking again.

"I am enjoying the time I was given to explore the land, I intend to at least get a good knowledge of where areas are before heading into the pack. I may even bring a few morsels of prey to the pack." He said looking at him quietly before glancing to the clean clear water that sat just a few feet behind them. He quirked his head a bit at the male's question and chuckled. "Maybe i was curious. Maybe it is good for me to know that you aren't just out here ignoring your duties. I doubt you would do that, but i've met many who would." He huffed, and stretched out his large body, grunting as he did. Soon he would be in the camp, taking on his duties, and hopefully working up in the ranks. He wanted to have a home, and show his duties faithfully. He glanced to Striker once more, his eyes bright in the warm summer light.

"I do not seek an apology. Being rude to me, well I like to remember things like that. Your attitude, as I said before, is what will get you killed. Even if it is normal where you grew up, you obviously aren't in the same place, so it isn't normal here." He then sighed for the male must have thought it was offensive for Altair to call him a pup. A year older? Did that really matter, not much to Altair. He didn't care, he was still an apprentice and still had things to learn. Hell, when he grew up and got his namely sake, he would still learn things. It's the way life worked. "You will have your title soon, but i suspect that it won't be that soon. It doesn't matter how much you know, what matters is how far your mentor will go with your training. It matters what your mentor thinks in the end, not you." He said and walked away from the waters edge, closer to one of the large mossy oaks. He took a seat, the sun now escaping from the shade he received. He felt immediate relief from the sun's heat and it made him feel less in an argumentative mood.

PostSubject: Re: Internal Struggle (Open) Internal Struggle (Open) Icon_minitimeJuly 28th 2015, 15:40

He remained quiet, deathly still asides the batting of cold, dark eyes and frequent flaring of his nostrils to show that there was life somewhere within him. It wasn't much, but it was enough to call a soul, the wolf thought. The apprentice observed the male in subtle ways, taking in each speck of detail that consisted of the male's form and even the shine of his eyes that hadn't seemed to annoy him so greatly until recognized. Despite his attempt to truly deny the warrior now, Striker convinced himself stubbornly otherwise to stay put before giving in to the long tread back to camp. It had seemed Agavos was a pack of rather different souls rather than those much like his new mentor, the blind wolf. The thought of submitting to this choice in particular did astound him, and cause questions in his head in order to ask himself as to why he had chosen it. But the answer was all too easy - he needed a shelter he could tolerate, not one he'd soften up to like the one his friend was being held at. Helidos was not a home for his kind, and never will Agavos, but Striker knew deep down, that this place was closest to home than what he'll ever receive until restored. He refused to find the effort in responding to any of the male's words up until he laughed, not crudely, but just as an answer. However, he only had one question, and displayed his emotions through a rough glance into the warrior's direction, "Any wolf stupid enough to ignore their own duties is a fool if they assume that will get them places. They'd be better off Omegas or thrown as food for the Rogues if you ask me." His natal ways became a lot brighter in his tone of speech, it was clear to even him that his mannerisms were not quite welcoming. Samael would be quite proud to see that even despite the fall, he managed to carry on those Erenyx qualities. The thought made a small smile twitch at the side of his mouth.

The other half of the wolf's speech humored him internally, he breathed a small, amused breathe of fresh air through his mouth before huffing a discomforting laugh. The irony in his words of his attitude leading him to only death was probably the most laughable thing he had heard since entering this pack. There lit a blue fire in his eyes now as he peered to the other from the shade. "If only you knew half of it.. I've almost convinced myself I'm near invincible when it comes to dodging death." As the pup had answered so calmly, it didn't seem to surprise even himself as he said it. He had experienced black and white, and blood upon a large canvas. Traumatized, perhaps, one would say, but all in all, he found he was taking it a lot better than most his age. Whether this be the fact he was a bit more matured and well-tempered with handling things, he did not know, but he sensed a small pride in himself at how well he had managed on his own. Most pups would've died on their own if not prepared enough. "What is your name, Warrior?"

The apprentice sat still before him, the only notion that he was still actually conscious was the occasional the flaring of his nostrils and a slight movement of his chest. He sat still while looking at the wolf before him, curious of him but also slightly annoyed by him as well. His words spiked some anger in him, and he glowered at Striker, his silver blue eyes dark. "Any wolf ignoring their duties should be thrown to the rogues or as an omega." He chuckled softly and shook his head before answering. "I am, again, taking the opportunity to that the Delta granted me, and looking through the land." He said and took a seat, looking at Striker again his light blue eyes sharp. He then turned his gaze away looking at the bright sunshine, the blue of the sky almost matching his eyes. Tilting his head in curiosity, he looked at the wolf with a strange gaze. Invincible when it came to dodging death? Was this wolf insane? Shaking his head Altair could only let out a breath and look over Striker once more. "I see, you convinced yourself that you are invincible to dodging death? Or at least close to it..." He trailed off and looked him over. "I'm sure you have been through a lot, but I would convince myself to that level..." he wondered if he should tell him that it would probably cause his death. He decided to not say anything, and just watch for his reaction. He then narrowed his eyes once more and looked over Striker again, before letting out a breath. "Altair. What is your name apprentice?" He hissed the name, watching over him in silence. Did his name matter? Probably not, but he was pretty sure that perhaps he could remember the pup. Maybe he could, and maybe he couldn't, he wasn't sure. There were a lot of names rattling around in his mind, and Striker was perhaps one of the many.

PostSubject: Re: Internal Struggle (Open) Internal Struggle (Open) Icon_minitimeJuly 29th 2015, 14:02

- Sorry for the shortness, I tried.

"Striker, the only living apprentice of Agavos thus far it seems." said the he-wolf as he slowly removed himself from the shade to bask in the blinding light. He positioned his body according to the light, turning it so that he could see the figure around him as well as that of his own surroundings. The sun's rays would've done no good to him other than blind his very eyes, he wouldn't take the chance in having that disadvantage if someone was in ear-hearing distances. He made a disgruntled noise at his efforts in finding comfort upon the grassy, weak land of the gulley, slowly soothing his frustration in a reasonable laying pose whilst keeping a trained attention on the other, whom was referred to as Altair, "I have yet to see another my age, until then, I will strive as the only learner of the pack until declared proper rank." He muttered, "-I train beneath the blind healer of these lands, Orion is his name, before you ask. Unfortunately, like I had said earlier, Agavos had underwent a large gathering in hunting down a moose to restore our food pile. Many are with minor injuries, while even one has fallen, and another has gone into a temporary unconscious state. I've yet to meet the Omega that fell into such a nasty sleep. As for my duties, I'm told to keep to myself until Orion has been given time to train. It is not my right to bother him during such a busy time." There revealed a sense of care in his tone, a rare discovery, and only a slim few had ever heard it when it came to such things.

Tis it was true, he did care for his mentor, but he had better things to worry about such as if Erenyx had fallen yet or if his friend was okay back in Helidos. He didn't know these things, which angered the male more than what should've been. Being young had too many disadvantages, he thought to himself, at a war within himself between anger and envy. "I'm originally from Erenyx, my natal pack of the cruel and twisted, the son of an Elite and Lead Healer.. assisted by two other brothers. However.. myy mother is the only one whom remains alive to my knowing." The apprentice said rather calmly, his face giving away no pain he may of felt if given the choice to let it out. His brothers and father had done no good to him other than act as a barrier between him and freedom. His mother had her times, but he knew it was only to help him. Perhaps that was his father's intentions too, unfortunately, Striker had never seen that light in him as he would to his own mother. Which is why he hated him even more and his disappearance meant little to him. But now the wolf would know. Enough, that is. He hoped.

(ooc- It's alright. This one isn't going to be as long as I would like. My head is killing me.)

The only apprentice? That's a little strange. He thought, and looked over the smaller wolf quietly. As the sun moved across the sky, Altair moved towards the shade. He was close to one of the large oaks and shade it gave was very comforting. He let out a sigh, the heat escaping him as he did. He closed his silver blue eyes basking the shade. "The only apprentice. I guess it could be an honor." He said and shrugged his shoulders, and opened his eyes once again looking at him. He listened to the story the apprentice had given him and he nodded his head. The whole pack worked together to take down a moose but there had been some injuries. One wolf was in a nasty sleep, and his eyes narrowed at the thought. A wolf in his old pack had been hit over the head with a branch and had been in a deep sleep for many months, only to wake up sick and die anyway. “It is quite strange that you are the only apprentice, but then again this pack is new correct?” It was interesting to hear about the mentor Striker was under was blind. He had never heard of a pack having a blind wolf, but then again he wasn’t one to judge. If the blind wolf was useful who was he to ask? The shade flickered with sunlight over his face, making him squint but he looking at Striker still thinking about the large hunt they had organized. “Erenyx hmm?” He asked wondering which scent that he had smelled when first coming to these lands. “That is the pack that is full of rude wolves then hmm?” He said wondering he was correct. If that was where Striker grew up, then he was sure that’s what it was. “It’s a shame about your brothers’ death, if  you were close to them that is.” His tone was slightly dark as he spoke about the death of his brothers. He sighed softly and shook his head. “At least your mother is alive, if that’s a good thing.” He wasn’t sure how his family went, if he loved his brother and father or not. Each family was different, and when his own brother died because of him, well he had cared about his family. “I had two brothers myself. One died when he was young, and the other..well..he is the one who exiled me.” He said and rested his head on his paws again. He was tired, not just from the journey but many feelings that had gone through him. Most of the time he was able to lock his feelings out, but sometimes they came back. His feelings liked to come back with a vengeance, and he didn’t blame them.

Striker nodded, "To my knowledge, Agavos has only been around for a few months, no mates as of yet, so it is only predictable that I am the only apprentice for the time. Give the pack about a year and perhaps... perhaps there will be more," His nose wrinkled at the possibility, after the pup battle and his former meetings with Chiara's litter, he grew ill towards anyone his age other than Aleu, fortunately. He wasn't too thrilled with the idea of there being more, but by that time, he will have a rank and be moving onto bigger and better things. Keeping his distance as far as he can from the little tikes that may paw these lands next spring, "The likelihood of other apprentices siding with Agavos are quite slim to my understanding, at least from my homeland that is. As for Helidos, I know nothing of their numbers.." That was a lie, but he wasn't willing to admit just yet that he had a friend whom was an apprentice in the rival pack. That was his secret to keep, and so be it, he peered to Altair with slight curiosity. Something about the other questioning of his natal pack set the adolescent on edge, stiffening in his position as he tried to keep the arrogance to a minimum. "Yes, precisely." He said quickly before knitting his brows in sudden annoyance for the fact the warrior dared speak of his brothers. But this male did not know his relations with his siblings. He still couldn't help but feel angered by how many questions he chose to ask about him.

"They saw their fate and chose not to fight back with what they had learned, they got what they deserve in the end. However, I was fortunate enough to kill one of the pups that killed my eldest brother before winding up here. As for my youngest... I can only hope that his death was quick." His upper lip seemed to of twitched against his teeth, curling lightly as the idea of all those pups being killed for no greater reason than stronger numbers. He pitied them, but if they couldn't fight, they deserved to die in the end, just as did his brothers. Striker refused to comment on the statement of his mother, dismissing it shortly before the wolf had revealed a strip of his past life. The apprentice squinted his eyes in suspicion, he wished to know more, but was not required to ask questions, for he didn't know where to start. So he started out small, "You were exiled?" He displayed himself as somewhat surprised, eyebrows raised with a rather disbelieving gaze.

“That explains why you are the only one, despite being from a different pack. I’m sure Agavos will grow with more pack members, love interests and pups.” He took notice in Striker’s change of body language as he spoke about pups, and tilted his head at him. Perhaps he does not like being compared to them. He did mention that earlier did he not? He thought and blinked his silver blue eyes silently, half wondering if this pup would even stick around Agavos long. With him being from a different pack, his home pack at that, was it more likely he would return? His ears flicked as Striker continued to speak about other apprentices joining the pack. He did have a point, there was very slim chance that other apprentices would join a newly formed pack. Maybe once they were formed into a warrior or hunter, then they could easily choose their own destiny. If they left their home it was a big step, as a warrior or hunter, but being an Apprentice it was different. This wolf who sat before him, left his family and his mentor to be apart of a pack that had just barely formed. Maybe he had grown some respect for the young male, maybe not. I’m sure over time, if he stays true to this pack, I will respect him a little more. He thought and nodded his head as he said that Erenyx were the rude wolves. He wasn’t sure if all of the wolves were the same or not, maybe one day he would find out. The warrior took note of the males appearance as he spoke of his brothers, ah so his brothers were a touchy subject. He would take note not to ask about them for a later on conversation.

“I see.” Were the only words that left Altair’s muzzle as he listened to Striker’s story about his brothers. So they had been killed, and Striker had been able to extract some of his revenge. Again, it seemed to be a long story and he didn’t want to pry in the young wolf’s life. If he had wanted to share more he wouldn’t have shut down so quickly and pushed him to one side. He was sure more had happened, maybe not just to his brothers but also something about his mother. What ever had happened, it wasn’t a good thing, and in due time maybe the wolf would open up, it wouldn’t be today however. Altair had enjoyed the chat, but was now ready to go on his own back towards camp if he could possibly find it. He was about to stand up to leave when Striker spoke of his exile and in disbelief as well. He looked at the younger male silently for a few heartbeats before answering him. “Yes, I was. A very long story, I will make short to explain to you why.” He sighed and sat up, the shade now drawing out as the day wore on getting close to twilight. “I rose up in ranks in my father’s pack. I was beta before long, and my brother became jealous. My brother had hated me for getting our younger brother killed, but he also hated me for rising up in ranks. He wanted to be alpha, and sometimes wolves don’t think straight. My mother was murdered, and I had been the first one to find her. I was blamed for the death, because of what happened to my younger brother. My father had been in to much grief to actually listen to the evidence I had found and had pushed me down to omega and let my jealous brother become alpha. All this had happened in one day, I went from being beta and being respected, to an exile blamed for a death I didn’t commit.” He sighed softly, his voice soft as he spoke about his mother. “I never returned, I don’t know if the pack still runs or not, but I don’t really care. The only reason I would go back is to see if my father was alive, and I truly doubt that.” He said and stood up then stretching out his body. “You know at least the bulk of my past, it’s not going to be some big secret. Most of the pack will learn over time, and that’s ok. Have a good day Striker.” He said and turned towards the oaks trotting away in between them, off to find a different place.
