How easy it had been. To slither away and claim his place in the lands of loners, where dangers were to be lurking around every corner and nowhere was safe. It was here lives were lost out of hunger or by the jaws of another, and after hearing about the history Helidos had with Erenyx, the adolescent was sure that option happened quite frequently. Was he walking on them now? His figure dancing over the bones of the souls that got taken, beating them further beneath the soil to never been seen again. To be forgotten. To be lost. Is that what was happening? Did Thane just contribute to such violent acts to make sure the deed another has done never comes back to resurface and make itself known. Like his home. Helidos, the once glorious place the brute thought of it to be now resided in the back of his mind as nothing more than a lie. The male understood what the Elder said, about not wanting to risk lives and such but how many more of their lives should be taken before the risk was worth taking, for just a moment of bliss?
Thane was not the Alpha, so he wasn't one to speak but the thought of more of his home perishing away because of the fear in what Erenyx could do was sickening... maybe this was were he belonged. Out here, in the land of rogues with no worries and freedom that lasts a life time. But then, what about his family? The pup couldn't just leave them.. could he? No. That would break his mother's heart and Thane wouldn't do that. Not to her. The thought that she and the others wouldn't care did come to mind however, and debating more against the pros and cons of such a situation, Thane would release the loudest snarl one his size could give. It wasn't as threatening as an adult would have been, but for him, it was enough to get his point across. Irked and slightly frustrated, the male wished for his own mind to shut off, for once to just be careless and peaceful in his life. Was that even possible though? Could he turn off his mind and just "go with the wind"? Lifting his gaze from the floor, the sight of anything other than the ground took him aback for a minute as the pup saw the looks of colorful trees. How nice it looked. It was so different than anything he had seen in Helidos and for something so beautiful to rest in a place of ruin was astonishing. How could this land ever be dangerous?
