Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Empty
PostSubject: Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Icon_minitimeAugust 4th 2015, 17:42

The white male trotted through the lands with a skip in his step. He was not sure to what had suddenly given him this burst of happiness, but he was happy it had arrived to him. A song had come to his mind, he wasn't sure from whereat had come, but he began to sing a little. His voice deep and sweet. He had never used his voice in such a way before, but he liked the way it rang in his ears. "Darling, how I miss you. Strawberries taste how lips do, and it’s not complete yet. Mustn’t get our feet wet, 'cause that leads to regret diving in too soon. And I’ll owe it all to you. My little bird. My little bird. If we take a walk out in the morning dew, we could lay down so I’m next to you. Come inside. If you fell asleep, then at least you'd be next to me. And if I wake up you see, it’s late, love. Go back to sleep. I’m covered by nature and I’m safe now underneath this oak tree. With you beside me." He couldn't resist a smile. He was legitimately happy for once in a long time. Not because of some evil act that he had committed, nor of tearing someone down. Happy just to be happy. It was something that Malachai had not come to know well, but to have it come to him in the midst of the life that surrounded him, it was a nice change of pace through the male's head. Nothing specific was floating through the brute's mind. Just the fact that he was genuinely happy with a legitimate smile on his face was more than enough to keep him going through the flower covered trees. He had never come across these lands before, at least not this particular area. It was gorgeous. Colorful arrays of pink and purple intertwined in perfect harmony with the green grasses and brown woods of the trees in which they hung to. he had never encountered such a beautiful display, nor did he think that he would ever fond a land more beautiful than this. Nothing could possibly compare to it's beauty. He noticed a larger tree near the center of the area, it was much larger than the others and had many more blossoms. He stared at the living plant in awe of the magnificence of it. He wondered for a minute to how something that came from a little blossom seed, could grow into something as big and beautiful as the tree itself. It was a wonder of life. How they all came from the smallest of things, just to grow and develop into the things that they were soon to be. Wether by experiences, raising, or whatever else, they had all been through something that had made their life how it is and how they are today. it was fascinating to the white brute as he sat in from of the tree, wondering about everything from the smallest of seeds, to the largest of creatures that could roam the earth. How big was the largest creature to walk the planet? Were there things larger than a male grizzly or the strong bull moose? To what had come to bring these creatures here? So many questions whirled in his head. He had no answers, only predictions. He hoped that soon, he could find someone to assist him in answering these questions in what remained in the world other than themselves, the prey, and the lonely predators that will kill off a wolf at will.

Time went on, and he still remained in the place in from of the larger tree. Growing hungry by the second, he thought a meal was in order. Maybe someone would come along and accompany him for a meal in the late afternoon. He felt free as he has no limitations when he wandered the neutral lands. Ears perked, a sound was noticeable a short distance away from him. He turned the corner on the trunk of the tree, just to find a young deer and his mother grazing. Ignoring his growling stomach, he sat again and watched the mother-son duo enjoy themselves. He smiled at how close the little fawn would stand to his mother, and how alert she was in the open area. Willing to die to keep her baby safe. it was a wonder how even in some of the weakest of species, that their young and mate mattered more than their own life. "That's love. Sacrifice. The meaning of life itself." He smiled and turned away to find a small meal. Trotting through the trees, he noticed a small band of squirrel chattering around. He though two or three would do fine for himself and whomever happened to show to his tiny gathering. Creeping up in the group, he pounced and landed on one, killing it. Two. Three. Four. Four kills in the matter of mere minutes. He was proud of himself, but did not think he was the best hunter. He grapes all four by the tail in his jaws, and carried them back to the tree where he previously watched the birds chirp and the deer graze. He took once squirrel and sat near the tree to where he could watch the mother deer and her offspring graze while he enjoyed his own meal. He was careful not to spook them, knowing that if they saw him or anyone else, they would take off. He did not want to kill him. Just simply observe them. To wonder.

Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Icon_minitimeAugust 5th 2015, 07:00

Paws carried the small white pelted fae out from the territory and into unclaimed lands. Originally there had been no actual destination in her mind. she'd merely been wandering. But now it became evident that her mind had automatically led her here. She came to a stop, creamy eyelids falling down over her eyes as she inhaled deeply. The only scents that came to her now was critters, flowers, trees and nature in general. Her ears flicked and she sighed gently, her mind had led her to where she had last seen the dark pelted brute. As much as she hated to admit it to herself, she missed him dreadfully. It was weird her reluctance when it came to admitting emotions like this even to herself but she suspected it was something to do with the past, anyone she cared for had wound up dead and then later on she got punished for caring for another. Her gaze drifted across the area, half hoping she'd see a splash of dark amongst the trees but there was nothing. Of course there wouldn't be, he knew better than to stay in the one place for too long...it had been a while since she had heard from him and she hoped he was okay, of course she knew it was unsafe for the two to be around eachother for too long but it was lonely in these lands. She cared for no one in this pack and  instead had come to despise them, hating the damn alpha and everyone who followed him. But then again, she appeared to be no better.

Sighing she glanced upwards, hazel gaze seeming almost golden in the sunlight. A small butterfly fluttered down to her and she had to resist the urge to sneeze as it fluttered about her nose. She lifted a paw hesitantly and went as if to bat at the small butterfly. It dodged her paw and flitted away to the unique pink canopy above her head. With a confused frown, she glanced down at her paw which she still held slightly off the ground. Batting at a butterfly...such a carefree and happy sounding thing to do in such a time of darkness and confusion. Shaking her head she planted her paw firmly on the ground beneath her and continued on- moving deeper into the forest of bright colours. The sun dappled her pelt as it peeked through the flowery leaves and not for the first time she was relieved her pelt was not black in colour as she found the heat bad enough with her lighter coloured pelt. Small critters roamed freely in these lands, not used to the predators that only rarely traveled to such lands if they wanted to get away from their packs, even Rogues had their own seperate territory. She watched as a little innocent bird landed only inches from her paws to pull at the ground in search of food. For a brief moment envy and anger flashed through her at the simple lives these creatures had, living a life so easy that they failed to even recognize danger and she had to put in a lot of mental effort to not lash out at the little bird before her and take its pathetic life. After a few moments she shook her head slowly, angry at herself once again- it was not this bird's fault. It was just lucky to have been born here rather than say the territories of Erenyx, and she would not take its life today if it possibly had a chance to live properly. She batted a small clump of petals at it to try and get it back into the air again and with a startled chirp it took off into the trees.

Sighing she leaned back on her haunches, resting her back against a trunk and letting her eyelids once again fall shut. She hadn't slept properly in a long while and the peaceful lands and warm sun was making her even more drowsy than ever. Just as she was beginning to drop off, a sound made her eyes flash open once again. She stood, ears perked as she frowned- was it someone singing? Unable to fight her curiosity, she trotted in the direction of the sound warily. There was something familiar about it...However just as she thought she was getting near, it stopped. Huffing, Tundra sniffed the air and was just about to shrug and turn back in the other direction when there was a rustling sound that caught her attention. She sniffed the air and felt her tongue run over her fangs longingly at the sudden scent of fresh kill, she had not realized her own hunger until now. She creeped forward, guessing whoever had caught the prey was also the singer she had heard. In moments she spotted the brute with the pelt similar to her own and instantly recognized him as Malachai. For a moment she hesitated, she could just leave now and he wouldn't even know she'd been there, but something stopped her...

She could remember the night she had met this Warrior and the Apprentice Piper and for a moment she felt another spark of loneliness spark through her. She was not used to such feelings, always being very solitary, Tundra had never wanted anything but her own company and others disturbing her peace had always annoyed her. But recently she had been craving someone to be able to speak openly to..to be able to empty out some of her worries, anger and confusion. Maybe it was because for a short amount of time she had been able to open up slightly to Samael but now he was gone again and she felt stressed with everything cooped up inside. After a moment she just padded right over, didn't decide anything at all- just went for it. She stepped into view and padded over, small smile gracing her features. "Malachai" She murmured, dipping her head in greeting. "How have things been?" She asked, still feeling uncomfortable and slightly awkward as she stood there, still uncertain as to wether she was welcome or not. He might have wanted to be alone, it seemed to be the reason most travelled to the neutral lands. But last time she'd come across him he'd seemed friendly enough. Tilting her head she smiled. "Was that you with that lovely singing voice?" She asked with a soft chuckle, deciding to chance it and leaned back on her haunches. A pink petal floated down from the large tree that had branches stretching right over their heads and it landed on one of Tundra's creamy paws. She lifted it and gave it a little shake, watching quietly as it floated down onto the lush grass beside a dead squirrel. In fact there was a whole bunch of them, obviously that had been what the scent had been. She just prayed her stomach did not rumble, that would be a bit embarrassing.

Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Icon_minitimeAugust 5th 2015, 08:33

A soft voice came from behind him not long after he had placed himself back down to watch the deer. Turning his head, he already knew who this female was. Tundra. Remembering the night he had taken the Warrior and young Piper into his den for the night, he wondered what she was doing out all alone once more. "Hello Tundra." His smile was warm and his voice soft. He motioned to her to look out in front of them before he answered her next questions. "Careful not to scare them." He was referring to the mother deer and her baby, still grazing through the patches of grass. He smiled and looked back at the female. He was hoping she wouldn't want to oil the two, as he had enjoyed observing them for quite some time now. "Things? Well. Same as always. Avoiding anything to do with just about anyone, staying out of the pack lands as much as possible, living alone. Nothing really different from the last time you saw me." He shrugged, knowing it were true. He had just been wandering the neutral lands on his own. Not returning to his pack's lands. He was almost like an exile. Distanced from the place he swore to call home and protect. It was a strange way he was living, but he was sure that Tundra did not care for why he was always alone, nor for why he refused to enter the pack lands anymore. A surprised look came upon his face as she had mentioned his singing. He laughed a little and looked back at her with a sheepish grin. "I didn't think anyone would hear me." He had never really sung before. Only little songs when he was happy as a young pup, but never since his days there. Her words stuck out to him. Lovely? He hadn't thought of his own voice in such a way before. It was odd to hear that from another wolf, especially an Erenyx member. Although most wolves from his pack were portrayed as dark being of the night, he had thought differently of Tunda. She didn't seem like the vile being that they ruled under, not at all. She may not be entirely trustworthy of him just yet, but he was sure that he would not gain her trust just to break it. To cause her more damage than what had already been done.

He watched as her eyes reverted back to the squirrel that he had killed for whoever would come along and wished for a meal themselves. Her eyes seemed to want them as she looked to the kills. He smiled and chuckled softly as he looked at her with a smile. "Take them. I have already eaten two. You take the other two." He nudged the squirrels towards her with his nose, hoping she would accept his offer. She seemed hungry, but weary of what the male was capable of. Malachai already knew that he wasn't going to bring harm to her. He had no reason to, nor did he enjoy the attacking and killing of those innocent to him. The only one Malachai would attack ruthlessly, would be Teren. He had a lot of hatred for the supposed Alpha male. He was no more convinced that she should be alpha and a rogue creating a pack on a whim and wishful thinking. He had a feeling Teren's fall would come. He had a feeling it would, and nothing could stop him from wanted the monster dead and skinned alive like the rodent he is. Shaking his head, he snapped back to reality. He spoke a little before falling silent. "You know Tundra, I have lived a life that no wolf should live. That nobody should endure or have to go through. I'm sure you have these same thoughts about things that may have happened in your own lifetime. But, I'm trying to comprehend why we're still here if we disagree so much with the way Teren controls his pack lile slaves. Why are we still here? I can't understand why.." He shook his head, slightly opening up his toughest to the female before closing his maw with a sigh, still watching the mother deer slowly become more distant from the two white warriors.

Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Icon_minitimeAugust 6th 2015, 15:48

Relief hit her as she was once again granted a warm welcome from the light coloured brute. See when it came to Erenyx, a wolf could be your best friend one day and then trying to rip off your head the next. The warm breeze ruffled her fur and she slowly let her muscles relax, feeling the rare moment of slight peace come over her. However she became alert again, ears pricking forward and hazel gaze flicking in the direction that the brute had indicated to. A doe walked about, tearing at the lush grasses as a small fawn pranced along at her side. Tundra watched in silence for a few moments, knowing the Warrior's intention was not to kill them and she was relieved. She was sick of unnecessary killing, it may have been a sport of hers once, but maybe she was trying to break free from having such a title pressing down on her. She could never completely rule out the deeds she'd committed in her past but she could try and help cover them up. As he spoke of not scaring the two, she gave a small nod in his direction- unusually soft eyes showing how she understood. She turned her attention away from the two grazing herbivores and once again focused it on her company as he spoke. A simple nod was given, hollow gaze lifting to the branches of the tree above them where a small bird was perched as it twittered away. Finally glancing back down, she attempted a half-hearted smile in his direction. "Well I must say you're not alone when it comes to that." She murmured, studying him intently. She was still trying to decide on how much trust this male could be given. So far he had shown nothing but kindness, kindness that must be pure to have survived in the lands of Erenyx for any length of time, but something held her back...It was nothing to do with him personally, she just was the last wolf you went to if you were looking for someone to trust you. With a trust shattered too many times, she had become fragile and nervous when it came to opening up to anyone. Samael had managed to get her on a good night, he'd gotten through to her..she still couldn't figure out how.

She tried to push away the confusion lurking about the corners of her mind and smiled as she saw the sheepish grin spreading across his features at her words about his singing. As he spoke of not realizing anyone would hear him a soft chuckle escaped her. "Do not worry, there was nothing unpleasant there to hear. In fact it was quite beautiful. Do you sing often?" She asked, voice soft like silk and eye's shining but still void of any visible emotion although she could still feel it all pushing at the barriers of its cage deep inside. She tried to recall the lyrics he had been singing out but already they were beginning to fade from her memory and she gave up, she could still remember the voice though.

She noticed his azure gaze follow hers down to the dead squirrel and it was her turn to let a sheepish grin of her own crawl along her maw as he offered it to her. She had not intended on her little glance to look as longing as it must have. Letting her long tail swish gently over the fallen petals she blinked uncertainly, sharing prey was not something she had ever grown up with either. Her life had been a whole 'every wolf for themselves' type of life and even now old habits stuck and she felt that accepting this piece of prey rather than catching her own seemed pathetic and weak. But after a few moments of hesitation she finally gave into the hunger, sleepiness and kindness he had given her. "Thank you Malachai" She murmured, actual gratefulness evident in her tone as she leaned forward and dragged one of the small bodies over. It was still warm and she tore into it, feeling the crimson stain her white muzzle until she was finished the two- hunger dealt with for the time being. Once she was finished she glanced back up again, pink tongue running over the blood stained fur in an effort to clean it. She was not used to such kindness, of course Samael was kind to her but she had figured out now that the two loved eachother, this was a different type of kindness. A kindness for the sake of being kind. It confused her greatly.

He spoke again, and she listened attentively. Expression serious and reserved as  she listened- hazel gaze shadowed. If he had said this to her a few months ago she would have agreed...but she now had a reason to stay in this pack even if the reason itself was nowhere nearby. But even if she could trust this Warrior with things that could put her in danger, she was not ready to give away anything that could get Samael killed or injured. She would never forgive herself if something happened to him and didn't know how this Warrior would react if she told him the only thing that was keeping her here was that she loved the wanted exiled Samael and had to stay so she could keep an eye on Teren and keep him updated and...and safe. Teren would most definitely grant Malachai a high rank if the Warrior turned up with a dead Sam and she did not know how ambitious the brute was so for the time being she kept silent on the subject, instead nodding in agreement. "My past has been absolutely terrible Mal. I have done things I may never be able to recover from. I do not think I deserve the love of any pack and at least Erenyx does not make me feel wanted and loved because I do not deserve this..not yet anyway. I need to right my wrong's before I can ever even consider a proper home and this may take me the rest of my life." She whispered, at least she was not lying to the white pelted male because to be honest she didn't want to. Even if she left out anything to do with the midnight pelted Exile, these words were also true and she hadn't even thought of them before they had hopped out of her mouth. Frowning she shifted her position slightly, gaze shadowed and thoughtful.

Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Icon_minitimeAugust 6th 2015, 22:05

The brute listened as the white female spoke about how things were fairing for the both of them. He nodded, chuckling slightly as he knew they both didn't enjoy spending time within the pack. It was understandable as they both came from back background and Erenyx wasn't much of a lift up from previous living conditions. Looking back at her, he smiled. He knew she was weary of trusting him. Anyone would be weary to trust an Erenyx wolf, even if they are your pack mate. He understood and wanted her to trust him as he wouldn't bring harm to her. He only wanted someone to depend on. Not a lover. Just someone he knew he could trust. It was hard to find anyone to trust most days, he found. She reverted back to mentioning his singing, and he chuckled. "Well that sure is dandy to hear, Tundra." She had asked him if he sang often. To this he wasn't sure how to answer. He hummed sings as a pup and little lines, but never as much as he'd done just moments ago. "Not particularly, no. I never really found it as a relief in my younger years, but it soothes me now that I have come to appreciate it. I still don't do it often, but I'm always alone when I do. You're the only one to hear." He smiled, hoping she would be a little glad to hear she was the only one to ever hear him sing before. He had never sung to another before, wether it's what they wished or because they wanted to hear his voice. He had never done such a thing. Never. But not that someone has heard and given him positive feedback, he wondered if he should more often. Thinking of it, he thought he may as well ask. "Think I should sing more often?" He questioned, giving a smile to her. He wondered what she would say to his question. He really was curious to if he should, but didn't dwell on it often.

He chuckled lightly as she gave him a sheepish grin as he offered the squirrels to her. "Of course." He nodded his head, turning his attention to the doe and fawn that were nearly out of their view by this point. "Sometimes I question why we kill. Just to see a mother deer and her baby enjoying their day, just like a mother and her pups would, it really makes you think how alike every little creature is. Sure, we may be different species but if you really think about it. It's incredible." He just spoke aloud, not directly speaking to Tundra. He couldn't hep but wonder why they did. They were no different from wolves. Other than of being a separate species, they wanted the same thing all the packs wanted. To survive and protect their family. He though about it more and more, feeling a little guilty for killing the squirrel, but knew they were necessary for them to survive. As they couldn't munch of leaves and twigs as the deer and elk did. It was just life.

He turned to face her as she spoke, knowing what to say next in the words he so wished to speak after she mentioned not deserving love from a pack. "Tsk, tsk. Do not say such things. The only reason you would not deserve love is if you still continued to do such things and believed they were right. Only one who does such things shouldn't be given the privilege of love from a pack, mate, or friends. But Tundra, you deserve it as much as any one of us, no matter what you have done. I have committed some dreadful acts that most would kill me for, but I understand now that it was wrong and that I was under the control of another who I served under wonder and fear. Yet, I still believe I deserve love. For it was not my fault to be born where I was and be forced to do the things i did or be killed. Same as you. It's not your fault. I've come to realize that most who have committed acts they have scarred them, they were forced. Wether physically, emotionally, or verbally convinced to do something. It's not your fault. I see you understand that it's something you're not proud of and will never be. And that is enough to prove that you deserve love just as much as I do." He slightly lectured her, wanting her to understand that she did deserve love. She really did. He couldn't see any evil within her, nor could he ever think of having it in her. He spoke again, moron the topic of their pack. "I just don't understand why we stay here. I don't see any reason to stay. Teren's a dreadful leader. I would love to see that putrid rat fall to the ground in his own blood." A small growl escaped him. "This place.. it's not a home. It's a prison.. with the guards as Teren and his brainwashed minions. I want him dead. I want someone to come and make Erenyx clean and rid of the evil that Teren has plagued us with. Someone. Anyone." He muttered a little at the end of his speaking. He began to feel his metaphorical shell of inner safety cracking as he was slowly opening up to this ghostly female.

Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Icon_minitimeAugust 9th 2015, 16:30

She had allowed herself to finally fully settle, paws tucked beneath herself as she watched him calmly. A smile graced her features at the happiness he seemed to hold upon hearing that she had found his hearing pleasant. Her head tilted to the side. "Only being honest" She murmured with a soft chcukle. He seemed to spend a few moments thinking about the question she had asked about how regularly did he sing before replying. She nodded with understanding as he spoke, smile still playing along her lips. "You should keep at it, you have a beautiful voice" She had never sung before herself and found herself wondering what it would be like. She couldn't imagine herself being a bad singer as her soft and melodic voice would likely make a good voice for singing if used right. Her tail swished across the grass as she chuckled. "I am honored to be the first to hear you sing" She stated, emphasizing the first with a soft, mischievous laugh as if to suggest that soon more would hear such a voice. A small petal drifted downwards to land on her black leathery nose and she twitched it- hazel gaze looking almost dopey as they tried to fix themselves on the pink thing sitting on her nose. She huffed, exhaling sharply through her nose and watched as the air lifted the delicate petal upwards before it drifted downwards to the grass beside her creamy paws. She glanced upwards again as he asked if he should continue on and she gave a quick nod. "Of course you should, one should not waste what talents they are lucky to possess" Shifting her position slightly to remain comfortable, a small frown crept along her maw. The things she had once considered as talents were now nothing but burdens in her mind so what talents did she have? Was a talent only a talent when you made it one?

She let her gaze shift to where the doe and her young fawn were becoming more and more distant and would soon be gone from sight. Squinting in their direction, she listened as the brute spoke. She nodded, turning to face him again. "Of course. We are all very much connected. I believe we were all created very carefully to make sure together we all create a perfect circle that is valid to our survival. Think about it, the deer eats the grass yet by hunting them we are keeping their population at bay. If it was not for us, their life would be much too easy and not enough would die off, they would soon eat so much of the plants that they would never have any time to grow back and eventually there would be none left. Because of that the herbivores would die off and then so would we. Our life is much harder than their's would be if they had  no one hunting them, because of the fighting amongst each other and the tough lives we have in general, many of us die anyway without the need for a predator. Plus, we are clever enough to know not to eat away at the deer without consequences while they do not. It is a cruel world yes, but planned so perfectly that if one was to try and go against it, it would end with nothing but death." She trailed off, surprised at how deep she had gotten into the sentence he had thrown at her. Blinking, she pushed herself into a sitting position once again and watched him closely. Trying to make sense of this kind and noble warrior, what had he done in his past to make him choose Erenyx as a home? Blinking she sighed softly. "Anyway, that's just my opinion" She gazed into the distance, a glassy and unfocused look covering her hazel orbs.

Life was such a cruel thing and she wondered more and more as the days passed, why was it created in such a way? She knew it could never be in anyway overly easy or perfect- that would never count as living but merely existing. There had to be something to push you forward to make you take risks and survive. But there was something especially cruel hanging over the earth, and whatever it was it seemed to be getting thicker and thicker, as if it wanted to suffocate any good and kill it off. The brute spoke, tone gaining a slightly lecturing yet comforting note and for a moment she felt like the apprentice they had found in the Neutral territories not too long ago. Only she was not an apprentice and she knew exactly what she was doing with her life. Her ears pinned back against her skull and as he finished speaking, she was on her paws and tail lashing through the petals- sending them flurrying up into the air in a frenzied dance. "You cannot convince me of anything if you do not know the truth!" She snarled, eyes flaring as she locked gazes with him. Then just as quick as it came, the anger was gone and she stumbled backward- eyes wide with shock. "I-I am so sorry..." She grit her fangs and turned away, gaze narrowed. The damn cage for all her emotions was getting too small as they only grew. She took a deep breath, tail flicking from side to side. She had not been forced to do anything, she had loved it. And even afterwards when she had found herself a safe home she murdered the one who saved and protected her. And now she was in love with a wanted Exile, staying in this hell hole to protect him. Closing her eyes for a few moments, she gathered herself together and turned to the brute. The only emotion in her gaze flickered dully and was impossible to read. As he spoke more about the alpha and the lands and about the hatred he felt towards him, she flicked her tail once again forced herself to lean back on her haunches.

"Things tie me here, things that I cannot just shake off. If it is a prison it shall be my prison until I can make it otherwise. Teren is going to fall Malachai, that is all I will tell you now. But wether you stick around for it or not is up to you." She blinked almost sadly as he continued. "So you plan on leaving?" She asked hollowly, so she would be alone again. It was not like she wasn't used to it but...it had been nice to have someone to talk to even if he may not like her so much after that little outburst. Maybe he had gotten a glance at what was cooped inside and feared it, or maybe he did not realize just what she kept locked inside. She felt like the conversation could easily come to a close now but she could not deny the slight curiosity pricking at her and she gazed at him steadily. "If Teren was to fall, who do you think will be the most likely successor?" She was curious to hear what he would say and wether Samael would be brought up or not. It was if the outburst had never happened the way she sat there gazing at him so calmly. It was just one of those unnerving things about Tundra that made her so machine or ghost-like, whichever you preferred.

[This is a terrible post. I am sorry.]

Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Icon_minitimeAugust 10th 2015, 15:52

He chuckled and nodded as the white female began to answer his pondering questions of his voice. He thought he may as well keep at it if it wasn't as terrible as she stated. "Perhaps I will, Tundra." He gave a smile to the female as he spoke. He began to wonder about her own voice, then found no harm in asking. "What about your voice? Give it a go." He smiled, nudging her with is muzzle, trying to get her to show her voice to him. And if you wake up you see, it’s late, love. Go back to sleep. I’m covered by nature and I’m safe now underneath this oak tree. With you beside me." He sung softly as he egged her on to join him. He fell silent as his voice faded, waiting for her to follow in his voice. He was very curious to what her singing voice sounded like, as her regular one was already beautiful as it is. He turned away for a moment, looking back to where the mother doe and her fawn had been grazing, then turned back to Tundra.

The white warrior smiled as he listened to her words. She became dry deep with her thoughts, and he liked it. It was comforting to know that not all Erenyx wolves had a limited mindset. He hadn't thought of life in such a way as she did. It was a curious think to think about, then again, that's what he thought of most things when he put real thought into them. He began to find a friend in Tundra. He was sure he could depend other, but he had to make sure. "Tundra, I seem to find myself beginning to come to recognize you as a friend. But I want to know if I can trust you. Really trust you. I do not wish anything from you other than companionship. Nothing more. As I'm not looking for.. love.. in the first place." he found himself hesitating at the word being used in such a way towards the female. He shuddered at the thought. He had no romantic interest in the female, as he saw her as more of a sisterly figure. "Can I trust you? If so, I can promise you that if needed, I will do anything to assist you in Teren's downfall." He looked at her, hoping she would find a way to be trusting of him. But suddenly, she lashed out at his previous words just to apologize afterwards. "No need to apologize. For some of those words were quite ignorant and stupid to say without knowing the history of you past. But those are things that I will not force you to express to me. That's all up to you if you wish to have me know of it." He nodded, understanding that he did sounds quite stupid in some things he said allowed to her. Shaking his head, he ripped out a small piece of flesh from the dead squirrel carcass.

It was silent for a short while until the warrior spoke up again. He couldn't help but smile as she began to express that Teren's downfall as soon to come. He was relieved to hear those words. He longed to hear them from someone other than himself. He wished to stay around for longer if Erenyx would soon come to a different ruler. Her next question made him ponder for a second. Thinking back to the stories he heard of the true heirs to the throne in Erenyx after the murder of Steele. Two wolves came to mind when he remembered Steele's two remaining offspring. Samael and Aleu. He had heard about them, but not in the pack clearing where Teren could possibly wander upon them. It was something spoken of behind closed doors. "Samael and Aleu. Steele's son and daughter. It's a shame Samael was exiled.. he could take down the monster if he so wished, but that wasn't the correct timing to do so. With what I heard come from his jaws at the battles, he wanted to change Erenyx back into it's former glory. And although I was not here during those times, I trust in him that they were truly this pack's glory days. I want Samael to take his rightful place as Alpha of Erenyx. He deserves it more than anyone with what he had to go through." He nodded, sure of his answers. He wondered if Tundra had any sort of connection to the Exiled brute. He wished to ask, seeing no harm into it as he wasn't aware of anything that may have to two involved. "Do you know him, personally?" He was curious, as he couldn't tell what her emotions were when speaking on the subject. Impossible to decipher. He awaited the female response, anxiously expecting her words to be that of the truth for what he had asked of her.

Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Icon_minitimeAugust 13th 2015, 10:32

She frowned as he asked her to show him her singing voice. "I um..." she began before trailing off, gaze glittering with confusion. It may sound extremely weird, but how did one sing? Her voice had the chances to have a melodic ring to it but the dull emptiness she spoke with tended to chase it away. She would need to let emotions leak in, let her dull dead voice reach high and drop low to provide the perfect melodies. It sounded like an awful lot of hard work...She turned her gaze and rested it on him silently, wheels turning away in her mind as he nudged her. Evidently tying to urge her on. This time as he sung, she payed particular attention to the way he let the words flow from his mouth and the way he strung them together to make unique sounds that turned into beautiful melodies. She watched him closely as he trailed off and turned his azure gaze expectantly in her direction. A few more moments of silence ticked by where his gaze shifted to where the two herbivores were practically out of sight. He was then facing her again and she narrowed her hazel eyes. Finally she rolled her eyes and stood slowly "Fine, fine..." She grumbled. For a moment she stood in silence, thinking hard. Her mum had never really sung much and if she had Tundra would never be able to remember. Fell had liked to sing though, she could remember his deep soothing masculine voice as if it was only yesterday she had been a young wolf, innocent and happy as she sat by his side and listened to him sing. Well, partially happy and innocent, by that time the rest of her family had already been burned to death...

Shaking the thoughts away, she tried to think of the songs he'd used to sing. Most were much too deep for a voice like hers but she remembered one, a song that the two of them had sung together. The lyrics filled her mind instantly despite how long it had been since the two had sung together. Taking a deep breath, she sung.

"I find a map and draw a straight line
Over rivers, forests, and pack lines
The distance from here to where you'd be
It's only paw-lengths that I see

I touch the place
Where I'd find your face
My fingers in creases
Of distant dark places..."

She trailed off, eyes closed and still hearing the rest of the song play out in her ears, hearing her brother's voice accompanied by the higher pitched voice of her younger self. Trembling slightly, she pushed on- skipping a couple of verses and diving right into the chorus.

"I'm miles from where you are
I lay down on the cold ground
And I, I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms"

She fell silent, the lyrics bringing one wolf to her mind. Dark pelted and bright-eyed Samael. Fell had told her that the song had been originally been sung by both a male and female wolf together and that was why he had always gotten her to sing it with him. As she ran over the lyrics now, she imagined Samael singing them himself wherever he may be. They were quite fitting actually...this brought a small saddened smile to her lips. As if only remembering Malachai's presence now, she quickly turned to him- eye's glittering. She had no idea what her voice had been like, it was funny how even if you were the one singing out- it was impossible to tell yourself how it sounded. The song had been slow and soft, hopefully something that would suit her. She had a strange longing for her voice to be as good as his was, it would be embarrassing if it had not been...not that embarrassment usually effected her...it was just, she did not tend to care what most thought of her. But she wanted this brute to like her- she could do with a friend before she exploded with the things she kept to herself...next thing she would be found walking in circles talking aloud to herself. Not a good thought....

"Well there you go, I sung" She stated flatly, not knowing what else there was to say. However after a few moments she went into more details thinking it was only fair to give him something, at least this wouldn't get anyone hurt. "It was originally sung by a brute and a fae, they had been separated for a long time but after finding each other they made that song to let out the emotions they'd felt when being separated. That's only a small part of it that I sung there. My brother...he used to sing it with me a little while after my family died.." She shrugged uncomfortably, eyes shifting to the far away point where the two grazing herbivores had last been seen. They were completely gone from view now. Was it bad how the thoughts of her family did not bing her any sorrow? It was hardly her fault that she had been too young when they died to remember any of them..yet still she felt oddly guilty. Of course, that was siding Fell. She remembered the large dark pelted brute all too well. And his  name still brought pains to her heart no matter how empty she made it.

She gazed at the brute, gaze uncertain and frustrated. She wanted to trust him so badly but it was so damn difficult. She had not been lying when she'd told Samael that he had been lucky enough to get anything out of her...that she was not usually one to open up with such ease. Yet she cared for Mal, not in the way she cared for Sam...no it was something completely different. She supposed it was what one would call platonic love.. but even with the word platonic before it, love still seemed a bit dramatic. Friends? Friends sounded good. Simple but good. He spoke, speaking of friendship as if he had somehow known what she was thinking. She listened attentively, gaze fixed on his face as he spoke of friendship and trust. The word trust did cause her to shift uncomfortably but that was all. As he spoke of not looking for love but the mere comfort of having a friend, she realized with a jolt of relief, that he had just gotten rid of a possible problem that she had not been aware of until now. He was a brute, she was a fae. A taken fae...she supposed, but he did not know that. It could have been all too easy for him to develop feelings for her and not get any back in return as she knew her heart belonged to the Exiled brute out there somewhere. Even if her naiveness had caused her to take almost a year to realize this. She would have hated to have to tell him that she could not return such feelings and knew that it could've put a barrier between the two's friendship. But luckily he was all about being friends and nothing else, that was all she wanted.

She was about to speak but he wasn't finished and continued on, this time asking if he could trust her before stating about how he would help take part in Teren's downfall. After a moment of silence drifted by, she spoke. "Yes, you can trust me. I have no reason to want to betray you" She stated honestly before tilting her head slightly. And can I, sir Malachai, trust you?" She asked, simply for the sake of asking. She knew he would say yes, of course he would...but she wanted to hear it from him directly. She nodded as he told her there was no need to apologize even if she disagreed, her actions had been overly dramatic but the last thing she wanted was an argument so she remained silent. "My past does not matter all that much, because it's in the past and that's where it's going to stay. I feel there are much more important things ready to happen in the future so why bother wasting your time stuck in the past." She stated firmly "I may still want to right the wrong's I committed but I will focus on the right's which are in the future rather then thinking of the wrong's from the past." She nodded, tail flicking across the lush grass as she leaned back on her haunches.

She would not say anything else for the time being as she could tell that he was very focused on the question she had just spoken and she wanted a proper and honest answer so she let him think. She watched intently, ears twitching as he made his decision and spoke it aloud. Of course, Samael was mentioned along with Aleu. She had heard of the young apprentice briefly and knew that she was also Steele's daughter as Malachai stated. Except, unlike Sam- Aleu's mother was still roaming these lands as far as Tundra knew...she had not seen Katyusha in a very long time. In fact the last time she'd seen her, the wolf had been Elite of Erenyx and she remembered the bitterly cold night where she had met Samael and Katyusha for the first time. She had heard rumors the the two were both in different packs now but did not know if they were true or not. Come to think about it though, even if she did not spend much time with the pack- she had not scented Katyusha around the territories in a long time. Something dramatic had probably happened and others would probably be shocked that she hadn't noticed but that was Tundra for you, she very rarely ever took part in pack life unless it was required of her to do so.

She nodded in agreement to the Warrior's words, gaze distant. "Me too..." She murmured quietly with a soft sigh. She was instantly brought back to reality again as he asked if she knew the Exile personally. Her gaze narrowed and her tail flicked from side to side across the carpet of petals. This next answer would determine if she trusted him or not. Finally she blinked and stated simply "I love him." Those three words would show him that she trusted him and would prove that there was a friendship between the two. Blinking, she went quiet for a few moments before suddenly turning to the Warrior. "Malachai I need to trust you with this. In a few days you will hear one of three possibilities. The first one is the only one that will be true if you hear it, that I will be dead. The other two will both hold a lie that would make you possibly hate me if you heard it. So let me tell you now, it will not be true." She went silent then, frowning to herself. She had told him this much already, why not just tell him the whole thing. He would hear it eventually anyway. "Look, if I live through what I am going to do I may possibly become one of Teren's high ranked wolves. Don't think this means I am loyal to him, I swear it's a trick. And you will hear something else wether I get a high rank or not, you will be told that Samael was murdered by me...it won't be true okay? You must not tell anyone about this or I will kill you myself." As much as she doubted that he would ever give away the secret, she had to throw the threat out there for Samael's sake...if anything happened to him because of her....She took a deep breath. 'Please oh please making telling him the truth be the right thing...' she begged silently.

[OOC: 2001 words...damn lol. Song is Set Fire to The Third Bar - Snow Patrol. I changed some words to suit. Forests- Farms, Pack-lines - State-lines, Paw-lengths - finger-lengths.]

PostSubject: Re: Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Icon_minitimeAugust 13th 2015, 20:08

He chuckled as she muttered words of agreement to sing aloud for him to hear. He smiled and waited, wishing to see how she sounded. He listened as she began, and he was stunned by her voice. it was surely a beautiful thing to hear. He listened to her song, examining the lyrics in his mind as she went on. He couldn't help but wonder what was going through her mind. Everything was happening so quickly. She was clearly stressed and worried, obviously not wanting to stay here any longer than she had to. He wondered why, but didn't ask. He listened to her song silently before giving a weak smile as she explained the origin of her song. He nodded and looked to the creamy-white female before him. "I bet you miss him. Your brother. I know I miss mine.. I killed him." He shook his head. Somehow letting his death of his brother slip between his lips as a weak voice, unsure if the female were able to hear it or not. A deep ache came from within his chest. I killed him. His last sentence rung through his head like a scratched record. If he could cry, he would have tears welled in his eyes. A soft whimper came from his h=chest as that night replayed in his mind for who knows how long. He couldn't get over that he killed his brother, for finding love somewhere else where he could not find it previously. He hated himself for it. He couldn't take it. They were not even discussing their siblings really, but he had to speak of it rather than letting it consume him. Even if Tundra truly didn't care. "He loved one of another pack. I was ordered to get rid of them.. both of them. I killed my own brother in front of the whole pack.. then found his love and killed her... and raped her.." His voice was hoarse as he spoke. He still couldn't comprehend he did such a thing. A faint sound of a whimper continuously came from his chest for the next few moments. It took him a minute to regain his voice and move on from his comments like they never happened. "Your voice is very beautiful Tundra. Very beautiful." He smiled and nodded to her as she seemed to be waiting for a response to her song.

He was hesitant to hear what the warrior would say to his words about desperately wanting to be able to trust her. He needed someone. A friend. Nothing else mattered to him than having someone to really trust through Erenyx. He knew he could trust Chiara and Piper, and possibly Magnus, but he was not close with them as he was with Tundra. Not romantically. He was the other white wolf as a sister or best friend figure. he could not comprehend why he had automatically considered her something along those lines, but he did. His ears perked as she began to speak once more about his words of trust and friendship. He nodded as she asked him if she could trust him. "You can, miss Tundra." He smiled a little and spoke again before she changed the topic momentarily. "I have nobody. No friends, no family. You're the only one I have, and I see you as more of a sister. Please, all I ask of you is do not abandon me as your friend, as a brother. I will not survive another abandonment." He spoke, his voice quivering. he had been alone for so long, he realized he finally had someone that he could depend on. He couldn't lose that. He couldn't have her turn her back on him, it would destroy him. He shook his head as he finished speaking. He didn't know what else to say in that moment on the subject itself.

It was then pulled to his attention about her past and her small outburst towards him. He listened, ears twitching from summer brigs flying around. He looked up to see a gust of wind brush petals from the tree. They rained over them like snow, and he chuckled at it. It was a curious thing that happened, but it was all nature. He looked up, seeing the birds in the trees flutter from one tree to another, barely flapping their wings with effort. He tilted his head and looked back to the warrior before him. He understood that the past was in fact, the past. it would always dwell in your mind, no matter how hard you tried to fight it. It was forever there, lurking in the depths of the mind, awaiting the correct timing to reappear in the eyes of the one who lived it before.

Tundra seemed to be hesitant before speaking the next words. He gave her a look of trust, assuring her that he was there for her to release whatever she as holding back. He words surprised him. "Okay, so let me get this straight. You love Sam, and he loves you I'm guessing. Teren wants him dead, so you're going to claim that you killed him yourself. If Teren finds out you lied to him about the death of Samael, he will kill you himself." He put the pieces of the puzzle together, trying to gather his thoughts on what she had revealed to him. "I swear to you that I will not utter a word, and if asked about Samael, I will say that he is dead and gone. You have my word." He nodded, assuring her that she had his full trust and respect for what she was going to do to save her Samael's life from the monster who had already killed the Exlied male's father and overtook his pack.

Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Little Bird [Tundra/Open] Icon_minitimeSeptember 14th 2015, 09:29

She blinked as he opened up about his own brother. Having someone open up to you was pretty much as good as someone saying they trusted or loved you, in fact it was probably even better since although words could be false- this wasn't. She nodded quietly when he spoke of killing his brother and abusing his kin's mate- she didn't like it but she understood how it felt to have a scar like that on your mind, she blamed herself for her own brothers' death. She may not have been the one to deliver the killing blow but he was still dead because of her so it had the same effect. She clamped her teeth down, accidentally hitting her tongue and winced slightly as the metallic tasting blood filled her mouth. The pain jerked her awake though, freed her from the sudden ache in her chest that accompanied thinking of her brother. She glanced up at Malachai, realizing that he must be suffering the same thing and one glance at his face told her she was right. Leaning forward, she had to stretch up slightly to butt her nose against his cheek comfortingly. She pulled back quickly in case she would accidentally get any blood on his fur and she knew from experience that the deep crimson really stood out against white. Luckily he was unmarked when she pulled back, offering a small shaky smile of support. "I do miss him a lot. I can hardly remember the rest of my family but it was just me and him for a good while afterwards and I remember him as if we were together yesterday. I'm the reason he's dead so I guess I can actually say 'I understand' and mean it." A shaky laugh before seriousness took over again. "We've got eachother though" She stated firmly, lifting her hazel gaze to meet his azure one, holding it steadily and calmly. She smiled when he complimented her singing, corners of her mouth tugging upwards. "Thank you, I am glad to hear that." Stretching her forepaws forward, she used her tongue to rid her teeth of any last blood- luckily her tongue had stopped bleeding, she'd only nipped the edge of it. Still stung like heck though.

He proceeded to tell her how she could trust him and her smile broadened, feeling as if a weight had been taken off her shoulders. She needed this, needed to have someone in Erenyx- a friend, someone she could rely on. An easy relationship. "Thank you, it means a lot to me to have someone I can trust. It does not happen often" In her whole life she had only trusted two wolves, her brother Fell and Samael. Sure she'd made a few alliances with others but no real trust was given. But she had the feeling she could properly trust Malachai and this made her happy. "I would never abandon you Mal, I know all too well what it's like to be alone. I would never forgive myself if I made you feel the way I had to feel several times over and over again. We're here for each other, got each others backs from now on okay?" She tilted her head to the side, still smiling softly as she moved to sit beside him- giving him a friendly nudge on the shoulder. She did love him, platonically of course, it was a much simpler feeling compared to what she felt with Samael. It was simple and easy, she would be there for him and vice versa. Friends, siblings- blood was really the only thing that made the two different.

The gentle breeze tugged at the pale pink petals, giving them a moment of life in which they leaped into the air and danced for a few moments before drifting back down to rest lifelessly on both their white pelts and the lush green grass. Blinking, she lifted her forepaw slowly where one had landed and exhaled sharply on it, causing it to leap into the air once more. Smiling faintly, she turned back to the brute as he processed her words about Samael, feeling a slight pang of worry that erased her smile and left her frowning. She knew he didn't like Teren and had been very honest about the whole trust thing but panic still slithered about the edges of her mind about how wrong everything could go if the Warrior let one word slip....He spoke and she found herself holding her breath without even realizing. After hearing everything he had to say, Tundra exhaled slowly in a sigh of relief. "Thank you Malachai, I never thought I'd make a friend that I could trust with such things." She murmured, gazing out across the lush Summer lands as she did so. Suddenly she would stand and give herself a brisk shake, ridding her pelt of stray petals. "I guess I better be off, I have a lot that needs doing before I can tell Teren such a lie. Thanks for the meal, it was lovely talking to you Malachai and remember, ever need anything or just want to have someone to chat to- I'm not that hard to find. There ain't many white wolves in this pack"She said with a soft laugh before turning and beginning to make her way back to the pack lands. However she stopped after a few steps and looked back over her shoulder. "I hope you find love some day Mal, it is an amazing thing and you deserve to have it in your life." She tilted her head to the side "And until then remember you have me as a friend, a sister, you name it." And with a nod of her head, she turned and left.
