PostSubject: Trying to relax Trying to relax Icon_minitimeFebruary 9th 2013, 21:49

After her encounter with the evil spinney creature and the healers the female sought peace from all the business of camp. She had been alone for so much of her life that large crowds made her nervous and cept her hidden in the shadows. It wasn't that she wished to be alone, the solitude simply called for her most of the time. Her dark paws led her far from the main clearing and near the falls that drew near the boarder. She hadn't been this way before and was curious of what secrets it held here. Letting her senses expand the dark female explored a bit noting the half frozen water and massive roars from the falls. The frigid mist fell on her and caused her to shake her fur out every so often. Still not feeling secure the female then perked when she saw what looked like a cave hidden behind the falls.

Deciding to explore further Chiara walked closer to the falls until a small area between the flow of water and the back of the rocky mass came into view. Near this was a small crevice that seemed to open up inside. Excited Chiara squeezed her body between the water and rock and into the crevice, curling up once there. Inside it opened up into the size of a large den, big enough to fit at least four wolves. Aside from the dull roar of the falls it proved quiet inside and gave Chiara enough peace to lie down and relax.

Why did she return here? Of all the plays, the falls was the worst reminder of her hate for the reigning Beta. While she thought about the idea once more she ravished in her deepest desire; Esmeralda dreamed of the day her claws would plunge deep into his crimson muscles then, while he was still one with the forest and had all nerves intact, pull his pelt slowly back off his stature until he was nothing but a dying heap. Then she would adorn the new pelt in her den, a den which had yet to be made, for all to see. No one would dare question her actions for they would share the same fate, oh what a glorious time it would be! In due time, perhaps with a pack under her own reign or simply passing her years in his position, she would soon have more enemy pelts radiating from her chambers, warning all of her fury. Unconsciously, Esmeralda let out a sinister laugh at the entire reflection, indulging in it whole-heatedly.

Esmeralda continued to travel along the river until she finally came to the roaring falls and during her indulging memories, she saw came to reality just in time to see a canine slurking deep into a rock. Into a rock? Esmeralda was bewildered and neared with caution, a growl threatening her. How interesting, there was a crease which seemed big enough for even Esmeralda to enter...would she dare? Of course. Esmeralda plopped inside with ease, her eyes changing to see in the unknown space. It wasn't overly large and the roar of the falls was deafening upon first meeting but the place was satisfying to say the least and devilishly secretive. Esmeralda spotted her company with ease and let her emerald eyes gleam in the abyss at the unknown pack mate.

Feeling relaxed Chiara sank into a curled position and tucked her head neatly on her paws. Her peace lasted a short amount of time for soon enough a noise startled her awake to see another wolf in the tiny space. Startled Chiara jumped to her feet and almost growled at the female out of pure confusion. Her eyes adjusted and the dark female half recognized Esmerelda from the encounter at the river with Steele and Kenai. Feeling a little bit better she settled the raised fur on her hackles and dipped her head to the female.

“Greetings, Esmerlda is it? I didn’t think anyone would follow me here, excuse me if I seem surprised.” She said softly not trying to offend the female for being here. Company could be a good thing, it certainly wouldn’t hurt for the pain of the quills still hung hard on her maw. Inside the cave the steady trickle of water dripped, its beating echo drilled deep into Chiara’s mind. “So what brings you here?” She finally asked, breaking the silence and curious of the female’s intentions here.

Weak. Ignorant. Irrelevant. Though at the moment she would have to do to amuse Esmeralda. Yes, she did appear vaguely familiar. The female at the river which hardly stuck to Esmeralda's mind. Hopefully she was worth the time now. Esmeralda did not match the dipped head but instead accepted the brief sign of respect. "Yes it is. I did not follow you, fool, not entirely. I was unaware there was a spot like this, interesting. You're reaction is expected, rash yet understandable." Esmeralda would honey coat her words, not unless the female held a fire worth taming for Esmeralda's own needs. For now she saw the fae as weak and trivial.

Stepping closer, posture straightened, Esmeralda inspected Chiara's woundedmuzzle, her own muzzle quivering with disgust and annoyance. "What is that? What on Earth did you rush into to receive such wounds?" Tended wounds meant the fae had been in the company of her sister, a scent which now Esmeralda softly recognized. How pleasing. "Curiosity," Esmeralda replied shallowly.

Flicking her ears back at the female’s words the image of her near the river filled her mind. Never being one to judge on first contact Chiara let her judgment grow for her now as it was their second meeting. “I didn’t think you followed me, though your presence here is better than some I must say.” She said meaning Steele in her words. The male rubbed her the wrong way and some part of him made her uneasy to the core. Trying to change the subject Chiara looked around the small cave and sat down before Esmerelda, “Interesting place huh?”

When the female approached her and grew aghast at her wounds the female’s ears fell back in annoyance. “I didn’t go looking for the damn thing that did this to me. It leapt out at me in the swamps, I fell and the cowardly creature attacked me while I was down.” She said annoyed that she thought she went looking for those quills to stab her. “Better be careful with that feeling, lest you run into what did this to my face.” She retorted turning her head away from the female not wanting her gaze on her.

The fact Chiara approved, even slightly, of her presence did not phase Esmeralda in the slightest. Even if Chiara was risen with anger and in her face, Esmeralda would still have no intention of leaving nor be affected by her dislike. Yet she caught the meaning slipped with ease into her comment, equally sharing the hate for the male. Chiara neared until she was sitting across from the fae, and she felt she needed to match the position.

The comment on how a creature attacked Chiara was mostly irrelevant, the only word sticking to Esmeralda's mind was cowardly. Yes, Chiara had been cowardly, in Esmeralda's opinion. But she knew not the entire situation so she would keep her trap shut at the moment. Chiara then hid her wounds from Esmeralda which made the female release a deep chuckle of amusement. "Fool..."

Falls...they are the same wherever you go. The vessel pulled into another shore, this time the shore wasn't entirely foreign. This shore was part of his homeland now even though it felt unwelcoming, Damon would have to learn to love it in due time. Oh la la la, but faes would help that uncertainty easily. How he came to the shallow cave was irrelevant, Damon gave the credit to his smell, but the jewels inside gave him the feeling of finding treasure after blundering a deep pyramid for a fallen Pharaoh. Keep it cool. Damon reminded himself quickly before the grin of joy stretched from corner to corner. "Hello. I had been wandering, searching for a place of peace, and it seems I came here. I assume, hope, you are part of Azul's pack, yes? I am Damon, I apologize greatly for the intrusion," His acting was flawless, had been human Damon would have pursued an acting career but he had no need for such fantasies, instead of acting for other's pleasure he would use it to his own advantage. Damon did not come on to these females in anyway, instead he remained harmless and neutral. Just another pack member; what an understatement.

The female was starting to annoy Chiara and her comment nearly made a small growl erupt from her maw. This however was cut short as a new scent hit her square in the face, a male scent. Feeling boxed in Chiara took a step back against the cave wall as the male pocked his head into her hiding spot. Breathing a mental sigh of frustration at everyone now knowing of this place she averted her gaze from him and placed it back on the female. "I am not a fool" she said with a strength in her voice that wasn't there before. "I don't care about your opinion of me fae, but I won't stand for name calling that isn't warranted." She said in a deeper voice.

Flicking her gaze to the male she let her eyes fall over his form before turning back to Esmerelda. Looking at him for too long made her uncomfortable, so a quick look would suffice for now. He seemed decent enough and at his question of if she lived here the female let out a small nod in his direction. Knowing full well she was ignoring his she kept her gaze averted and drew her ears back slightly. If he came into the came further she would be more uncomfortable and might even scoot out of the cave. It was instinct to her not to be in an enclosed space with random males, burned once fear the flame twice.

A malevolent grin grew on Esmeralda's maw. Finally, some action. Chiara had been giving Esmeralda the respectful side which was boring her to death, now she saw fire growing within. Esmeralda ignored the male's presence, not interested in the least, and replied boldly, "Nor do I care of yours. My words do not have to be warranted in anyway, I may speak as I please." What did this fae have in her? Esmeralda was determined to find out, curious if she was even worth the ice queen's time.

"As you can see, this is not a place of peace. I suggest you flee from here and return to camp, brute. You presence is not wanted, weakling." Esmeralda was growing old of the respectful canines and their friendly ways, where was the inferno? This brute was an excuse for a male as he appeared to have no back bone at all.

Whooo....now looky here. Brown ears lay flat against his temple though his shoulders remained up right. Something was burrowing between these females and though his instincts told him to scram, Damon hated to miss such a lovely show. I was beginning to think this pack was strictly male. As the dark gray fae snapped to the other, soon her sharps words were directed to his Mongolian coat. Damon's eyes narrowed, showing disappointment which was not actually there, as he silently enjoyed her attention. Weakling? My, she wields sharp words...ices of harsh winter winds, tearing into one's coat. Ah, wait! Marrok flew back to his wandering mind, realization hitting him. Could this be the fae who Marrok had enchanted so? Compared to the average fae, she was decent, not gleaming treasure, but the her attitude was certainly intriguing. But the, who is she...? Damon's eyes spun to the other fae amongst them, avoiding making her feel uncomfortable. She was fetching, more so than the tyrant in the cave. "I apologize ma'am...it seems my presence is unwanted. Do you wish me to go as well?" Now the joker was poised to the fae in the background, hiding in the shadows.

"Well I guess we are of same mind then." She said simply not wishing to drag on this argument. The brute was making her uncomfortable and she silently wished he would leave. If they were out in the open it might have been a different story, but in an enclosed space her anxiety rose and she couldn't think clearly. Her eyes went back to Esmerelda and internally she pleaded for her to tell the male off, perhaps growl at him or something. She wished that inside the she wolf would know how uncomfortable he was making her and not think any less of her. Then as if she had read her mind the fae barked at Damon to send him out. Breathing a sigh of relief Chiara stepped forward slightly so the light from the waterfall hit her face, illuminating her features under the ripples of water.

Standing like this she looked over the male and smiled slightly, knowing he would leave soon. She was also glad that Esme wanted him gone as much she she did. Just then he spoke in her direction, causing her to step back into the shadows. Inside she was screaming to tell him no, that he could stay if he wanted. It was only proper and everything in her told her it would be disrespectful to cast him out. Yet on the other hand she did want to be alone or just with the grey female. Feeling conflicted Chiara averted her gaze to the ground and shrugged his shoulders, perhaps Esmerelda would send him off now. Feeling defeated Chiara cept her gaze down and let the roar of the water fall over take her mind.

This was all the confirmation Damon needed as the shadow fae again avoided his gaze and hid in the depths of the moist cave. Don't think this is over, Damon felt like sneering to the gray fae who was staring him down with great intensity. "Well, I apologize for my interruption." Had the tyrant responded to his farewell, Damon blocked the sound. "Oh and I will keep this secret spot of yours a secret, yes?" Again, the brute did not wait for a response but instead spun around and scrambled back out into the open world. Females of this pack were tougher than he thought; Just a better challenge.

(And exit Damon, haha.)

The serpent's tail was moving one hundred miles per hour, thrashing and whipping up a hurricane, inner anger growing immensely. When would this brute leave?! Behind the obvious respectful ways, Esmeralda could detect the future annoyance h would grow to be. Too much waiting made the beast irritated and had he waited another minute, there was no denying she would have lunged. His departing words were unimportant as the brute finally excused himself from the cave; Esmeralda snapping at his heels though he had already left their presence. "Aggravating." The ice queen reflected, watching from the snug entrance as his multi-colored coat vanished into the ivory forest. Turning back to the matter at hand, the snake repositioned her attention on the company.

Lightly, ashen paws traveled across the damp floor, the hushed sound of the roaring waterfall filling the eerie silence, nearing their target. "Now that there are no more distractions..." the sentence hung in the air freely, no hint of ever finishing; what did Esmeralda have planned for the fae?

Feeling immensely better now that Damon had left Chiara stepped forward and sat down next to Esme. Her shoulders relaxed and she shifted her neck to the side until a audible crack echoed in the caves expanse. "I suppose" she commented and Esmerelda's annoyed comment. Forgetting moment what they were talking about further Chiara waiting for Esme to speak. Casually she drew up a front paw and rubbed at her nose for an itch had formed. After it left her she straightened out and glanced at the fae.

"He didn't seem that bad, though I'm glad he left. The males here in general aren't that bad, its different." She said leaving her comment floating above her. She was prepared for Esme's onslaught of questions but was still confused as to why the fae was interested in her so?

Chiara's nearing made Esmeralda briefly uncomfortable but the feeling rolled with her shoulders, easing the aura amongst them a tad. Esmeralda was still questionable on this fae's abilities in general and was unsure how to test them. "Chiara," Esmeralda spoke, breaking the temporary silence, the venomous gaze locked upon the smaller fae, "what do you have planned for the rest of your miserable life?" Without a moment to answer, Esmeralda continued, "Is there someone you hold dear to your heart but in an entirely different way as you may believe, instead you wish to abolish them as soon as possible?"

Rolling the faes words over in her mind Chiara thought of her words and let memories surface. Up until now she did think her life was worthless, without purpose and without meaning. Such thoughts had been engrained into her head for such a long time, ever since she had been with her father. The brute had brainwashed Chiara into thinking these things of herself, that she was worthless and would never amount to anything. Moons of this slowly crept into her mind and planted the seed of doubt deep in her thoughts, making her believe him to some level. This type of thought was so deep that even now Chiara still half believed him. Coming back and looking at Esmerelda Chiara's face scrunched into a annoyed face, "My miserable life? What do you know about me warrior? That's right nothing" she snapped and turned away from Esmerelda.

Now anger boiled up inside her as the female's next words wove their way into her head. As she spoke about something to eliminate in her life the single image of her father, mounting her cept coming up. Snarling to herself Chiara shock her head in an attempt to rid her eyes of the images. "How is this any of your business? Why do you want to know so bad about me?" She questioned, her voice cracking slightly.

"I know so much more than you can even fathom, I need naught the longing tales of your past." Esmeralda retorted, unchanged by Chiara's sudden temper and annoyance, "As far as I'm concerned, your life is miserable for you have nothing to show for it so far." Chiara's face turned away from Esmeralda's gaze as emotions appeared to overcome her. Was she getting to her? Good, or their conversation was for nothing. "Don't flatter yourself, Warrior. If there is no one you despise, which both of us know is false, then why react so? Do you fear I will judge you? Be rid yourself of any such fears, you do not know the Hell I've faced. Speak of the one who plaques your spirit, Chiara, it will hopefully do you some good."

Still angered Chiara refused to look at the female. Trying to pull herself into the dark shadow she had used so many times in the past her eyes glazed over. Downward she fell into her mind into a dark shadow that fell over her whole body. Inside her mind images whizzed by of her father Kane, her sister Willow, her brothers and her dead pups. She felt a tear form in the corner of her eye, but pulled it back in. Turning then to Esmerelda in her state her mind let her speak freely, even though inside her heart she screamed not to.

"You're wrong female, you know nothing about me or my past. You say you have felt pain, hell I won't quivle who's felt more, but I sure as hell have felt my own." Her voice remained strong as if a shield fell over it, protecting from falling down like a dead tree. "My life has been hell because of one wolf. H is the cause of all my pain, but speaking of him will do nothing to ease my suffering. Speaking of him won't take back my family, my pups or my life." She snarled down at her feet now avoiding eye contact all together.

Esmeralda at first spoke not a word, only cackling maliciously - a sound which echoed throughout the cave even when she had finished. So it was her father which caused Chiara so much pain, leaving a mental scar even now? Emerald slits examined the smaller fae intensely as words continued to pour out. "Did he kill them?" The question hung by thread amongst them, the serpent's tone was grave and severe.

Chiara's eyes were now trained on the grey female before her. Something about her eyes drew her in, captured her in a way that made nothing else matter in the world. Almost afraid of her eyes Chiara cept her voice firm and clear. "No, but he led to their death. My father was evil and helped lead the pack to his ways. Those ways killed my pups, my sister and my will." She said with the last part being softer then the first. Her father had impregnated her at a young age and continued to torture her during her pregnancy. This paired with the stress of the sexist pack led Chiara to losing her pups. This memory of hers was the hardest to bare, thus she hardly thought of her pups, lifeless before her.

Pushing the memory aside her eyes fell to the floor and she started speaking once again. "My father taught everyone how to treat females, even my brothers changed under his teachings. I despise that rat, I even changed my name after running away for he was the one who named me." She confessed, something she had never spoken of to anyone. Something about Esmerelda made Chiara trust her, yet she didn't know what it was about her.

Though Chiara's father wasn't the direct killer of her kin, it was obvious he was the reason of their downfall. Chiara's family was gone now, there was no hope of bringing them back from the other forest, and her father was to blame. Though Esmeralda could only assume, her gut harshly told her that the litter Chiara spoke of wasn't from another male but from the fae's own father. She did not ask, for once she didn't wish to pry, and just let her assumptions settle her curiosity. "Absolutely sickening." The comment was low, reflecting the listener's view on the given information. Ashen fur rippled with a boiled anger even if the treacherous memories were not her own.

Despite the disgust, the ill feelings were not directed at Chiara, instead the hate was for someone Esmeralda did not even know; the father. Feelings in general were foreign for the serpent; rarely did someone come along that she gave a rat's ass about. Yet, even if the feeling was not returned, Esmeralda greatly wanted to avenge Chiara's suffering and put an end to the worthless brute. "Mark my words, Chiara, if your disgrace of a father ever comes around in this territory, if you are unable to, I will finish the killing blow. Never will that demon plaque your mind again, you just know that."

"Chiara suits you, you don't need that old name. It's best to start new, with a clean slate, and not even give him a second of your day. Males are worthless and I ever stray from this belief other's past tales assure me of their filth. Stick with me Chiara and life will be better." The ending of her statement was said with the utmost serious tone, the serpent's eyes thick on Chiara's pelt. Esmeralda had faith in Chiara now, beyond that of using her for Esmeralda's own wicked thoughts, and she would not let anyone harm the female.

A flood of emotions hit the warrior as Esmerlda responded to her explanation. Inside she was a mix of fear, gratitude, anger and embarrassment. Thinking carefully of how to respond to her she sighed then began, "I thank you for your words, but I don't want your pity. I've lived this long without holding others down by my past and don't want to start now. Its true I've had a rough life, but rest assured if that rat ever does come back I will have the last attack unless I'm dead." She said firmly, her eyes still fixed on her.

Chiara had been given the original name of Crow, for it had been the first noise after her squeals of being born that her father had heard. Not showing the pup any compassion her father played with her two brothers and showered them with affection from day one. Her little sister Willow was also shunned, though her suffering was ended early one day while out with her father. Disdain grew inside Chiara as she remembered the life that slowly left her sisters eyes, as days of beatings and harsh words fell down on her. Growing to herself Chiara's gaze fell and closed as Esmerelda spoke again. "I have never been with an other male besides those from my home pack. Alpha Azul was the first to ever show me anything but pain, its very different. I feel stupid, but is that normal?" She questioned wondering if how the Alpha was was a fluke or a norm?

Canines were suddenly exposed followed by an unsettling snarl. Green emerald eyes burned s the words were scornful, hot to the touch, "I am not giving you pity, Chiara. Not in the least. I'm just letting you know as is, if you don't want my assistance in the future say so; I am not capable of the feeling of pity to begin with." Her posture became erect, tail unfathomed by any of the emotions which has just rushed by with a flash of lightning, "But I gave you my word on it, and I'll uphold to it if you ever need me."

Listening more, Esmeralda silently examined the female before her, trying to cool down her fueled dominant aura. When she asked if she personally believed if Azul's act was a facade or sadly the truth, Esmeralda scoffed. "Sadly I believe he is tainted by insanity, and not the pleasurable kind. He most likely dreams of butterflies and pixies, that brute is messed up, stay away from him Chiara. You should put yourself with faes of worth before that pansy."

Chiara's ears flicked back at the female's sudden explosion of dominance. Her intentions were to show herself strong enough not to need others help, not piss off this female. Averting her gaze to the ground the fae didn't comment on her accusation, but instead fell silent. In the background the shallow dripping of water was starting to get on her nerves as was the constant spray of mist from the waterfall. The cave itself was large enough to hold both female comfortably, but only just. Thinking about leaving the small cave Chiara's gaze flicked to the exit and back to Esmerelda. "I do appreciate your vow warrior I just don't like to hold those to their words. Words have always failed me in the past, actions mean more." She said, her voice dropping into a mumble at the end of her sentence.

Always being the one in the background Chiara never had the best social skills. Being an introvert the fae found ti hard to relate to others and make friends, partly due to the fact that she hardly met any others in her travels. Unsure of how to interact with others Chiara always felt awkward and odd with other wolves, thus making her self esteem feel like dirt. Having been told most of her early life that she amounted to nothing only stuck as she never accomplished much in her short life. Convinced to some points that her father was correct Chiara now felt more worthless than ever. Her initial thoughts of the Alpha were now thrown back into her face by this female, and she believed her for some reason.

"I can see where you are coming from, yes perhaps he is insane. Perhaps all males are like Steele or my father, I don't know anymore. I've never thought about being with a male because I wanted to, have you?" She questioned wondering if the personal question would spark something in her new friend. "I hold my alliance to whom ever gives me the time of day, doesn't matter what gender. For now I shall follow you Esmerelda, for you make me feel like I have some worth." She then confessed as her gaze fell to the ground again.

Loyalty was the most important thing to Esmeralda. It may be hard to believe the demon held the emotion, pledge so high in her standards but in the end it was what she wanted for her future. She wanted power, there was no denying that, but she wanted loyalty as well, or else she'd be spending the rest of her years fighting to keep that power. Chiara crawled under her pelt like a tick but in the end it wasn't the same, aggravating feeling. The true reason behind the foreign, bothersome itch irritated Esmeralda beyond belief. The mention of actions struck a chord in the dead heart, suddenly unfrozen by passion.

For a single moment in her life, Esmeralda was speechless. All she could do, all she was capable of, was clutching her jaw and letting her eyes go blank. Sharply, her tongue clicked against the roof of her mouth; attempting to snap her out of the brief daze. "Yes all males are like that. Occasionally, one will come along but reality will rip them from your clutches before you even get a taste...of what...could have been. But who knows...your day may come Chiara...just hope you don't mind if I gag a little." Then, suddenly, there was a sound, a sound so entirely abnormal to nature for even the creator thought it impossible. A muzzle of ash closed to briefly stop the sound, only coming ajar to have it end smoothly, making contact with the other female, nudging her suddenly. "But either way, you're all right kid, you're all right." It was in that rare moment, only for a brief second, had the given blinked they would have missed it, Esmeralda smiled, while her eyes gleamed, her name not even doing them justice.

Then it was gone, walls returned in a flash then her eyes glaceed over to return the demon to her true form. Was that the action Chiara had referred to? Esmeralda did not know and frankly she didn't care for she was too overwhelmed, the spark of happiness flickering in the dark corridors of her mind. She ravished in the feeling, silently, as she had not felt it for a long while. "Good to have you aboard Chiara." She spoke again, eyes upon Chiara, "You are definitely worth something. Most definitely."
