The sky was still dark when Fel went to drag Narla out of her hole. They had since found a more suitable living arrangement for her, so her residency at her mentor’s cave was no longer necessary. Was Fel glad that she was living separately again? There was no definite answer. Fel’s den was used only for storage, privacy, and sleep, so she didn’t really mind giving up one of those aspects for a little while. Besides, the tawny thing had been a nice source of warmth and the muscles that pressed against her little body felt more relaxed in the morning. The rest had to be stretched.

Sticking her snout into the warrior’s den, Fel gave an echoing bark for her to go to the training pasture. The beast then strode over to the healer’s den, by which time the sky had just begun to catch hints of light. The beta called in a similar but quieter manner for Crow, being conscious of the other healers and their sleep.  She then turned about and made her way straight to the training pasture. There was no time to lose.

With a long-strided lope, Fel reached the patch of gravel in the pasture that she was looking for. And here, on the frozen rocks, she would wait for her student and the newcomer to arrive… Her muscles tensing and relaxing rhythmically under her massive coat remained, she remained standing and ready to spring if need be.

[ Sorry I made you wait! ]

Curled in the confines of the healer's den, Crow slept peacefully. His small frame tucked against the wall closest to the den's exit. His bristle like tail covered his short snout, as he slept in a tight ball. A habit from his time as loner, an attempt to keep the warmth in and the biting cold out. But here amongst the strong smelling herbs of the healers den, it was warm despite its rather vacant feeling. A sudden voice however broke through the scruffy healer's sleep, sending him back to the land of the waking. Tail sliding off his maw, Crow raised his head blinking open his beady green gaze. The voice which had called to him was vaguely familiar.... Ol' frosty summons me? He thought yawning and slowly rolling onto his paws. Here he paused thrusting his rear high in the air, his front paws sliding forward as he stretched. His muscles felt sore from sleeping in such a cramped position but he didn't notice. It was something he'd simply learned to deal with. Arching his back he could hear his bones creak and pop. Satisfied he slips out of the den and into the still dark clearing. Being new, Crow hadn't the faintest idea where this 'training pasture' Fel spoke of was. So with a twitch of his nose, he tracked down the beta. His nimble paws making no noise as they slipped over the gravel path. Ahead she came into view, her massive black form hard to miss standing atop frosty white rocks. " You summoned m'lady?" He calls out, his head held rather low as he approached. His small scruffy form stepping from the shadows smoothly. A wide grin slowly unfurling across his maw, as he paused before the behemoth who'd met him at the borders.

She walks. "She talks." She thinks.

After the loss of her den, Narla had been loath to find a new living space for the remainder of the season. Laying curled up with Fel on the cold nights kept her warmer than she had been in any den. Their conversations were rather enjoyable as well, the two learning much about one another. Narla was delighted to share her knowledge of the world and tell stories from her travels. It was a point of pride for the little female to have seen so many wonderful places and strange creatures. It made her think that even if Fel was one of the best fighters around, Narla still had something that only she could say she was good at.

Alas, things could not always be as one would want them to be. Narla would eventually have to find a den of her own and learn to survive the cold of this place if she were to commit to staying. And she had, claiming an old den on the outskirts of the main clearing, where an outsider belonged. The scent was stale but it was obvious another wolf had made this den and made it their home. What she caught of the scent was completely unfamiliar. Most likely the previous inhabitant had died. It was the way of the world, it was no skin off her nose.

Summoned one morning, the Beta called to her from the mouth of her den. Another day of training, she thought, but why does this one feel different? The dingo rolled and stretched, banishing the sleep from her limbs and eyes. The dusty creature crawled from her den, her gaze following the distant black figure. She turned trotted out to the training pasture. It was a common meeting place for them and Narla knew the way well. From the way the female appeared to be headed, Narla guessed that her mentor was bringing another into their rounds for the day as the Beta was not one to "waste time" taking the scenic route to admire the view. On smaller legs and not particularly rushing to the spot, the dingo arrived assumedly last to their gathering, finding a strange dark male waiting with the larger female. Narla offered them both a grin and their morning courtesies. "Morning." She said, accent thicker than she might usually allow it to be around Fel. She did it for the newcomers sake as she rather enjoyed watching wolves expressions change as they heard her odd manner of speaking. She turned to the male, speaking mainly to him. "I'm Narla. I'm gussing you'll be joining us for training this morning?"
