[ Scout Yuki of Erenyx is now being held Captive in Pyrvanthros. At Alpha Magnus's request Delta Tatsu is seeking out the assistance of the healer[s] to heal Yuki's broken front left ankle. Captive Yuki, Healer Samoset, Healer Eirwen & Delta Xerentis feel free to join!]
Tatsu didn't get a wink of sleep. How could she? Assigned the task of keeping an eye on the Erenyx Scout, Tatsu had lead the fae back to her den. For the night it would due, though she didn't intend to keep the fae there for her entire stay. The reek of Erenyx wasn't something she enjoyed. Nor the being that the odor belonged to. Tatsu didn't trust the fae further than she could kick her. She may of spun a tale of disdain for Teren, but that didn't mean it was true. Alpha Magnus seemed to of felt the same way, ordering her to be held captive instead of releasing her. Despite her despise for the fae, Tatsu felt a sense of pride over being given the task of watching her. It was a symbol of trust from her Alpha, one she felt honored to have received.
Wondering what Xerentis would think of their new charge, Tatsu rose from the mouth of the den. The night had inched by, like a snail dragging itself along. Tatsu spending it watching what little of the sky she could see from the mouth of her den. Behind her, she listened to the breath of the captive. Ready to jump to her feet at any sign of aggression from the tawny hued female. However none came, it seemed for now the she-wolf was resigned to her imprisonment. Now as the tips of the sun crested the horizon, Tatsu yawned. It was time to call upon the healers for help. As Magnus had instructed she was to have the Scout's injury seen to. Something she was rather relieved about. She'd broken her ankle to prevent her running. It had been an act she had't thought much about at the time as it had been to protect her home. Now however she couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt. The suffering of others wasn't something she enjoyed.
Not wishing to bring her captive all around their camp, Tatsu tilted her head back in a howl, hoping her packmates would answer the call. Not much caring if she woke the wolves around her, she stood at the den entrance waiting to see who would come. Her pale oculars flashing as she peered back upon her captive. " Rise and shine. " She barked, guessing the fae had already been woken by her call. " Time to fix that ankle of yours." She finishes, her voice lacking emotion.

Healer Eirwen
With her gaze lowered | 'She smiles shyly' | "A soft laugh echoing"
Coiled in a flexible curl, Eirwen's body lay snugly in a corner within the Healers' den, chest rising and falling deeply with each breath. She'd had a long day yesterday after replenishing the amount of herbs they'd, meaning Samoset and herself, stored and she'd been absolutely exhausted from staring at an entire surfeit of useful and useless plants. The second she'd made herself comfortable she had gone out like a light, falling into a dreamless sleep. The next day, she would be waking up early as usual, as she didn't know if someone would requiring her assistance the next day. The thought that there might be someone out there needing her sent anxious clamours through her body. What if she was too late? What if they died because she'd slept in? Because of these thoughts, it wasn't often that she'd get a good amount of sleep before abruptly waking up. Today would be no different.
As the early lights of dawn peeked into the cave, Eirwen's azure eyes were already half-open, staring at the brightening scene outside. It wouldn't be long before she was completely awake. Blinking sleepily, she sighed softly, feeling her head sink heavily on top of her paws. Oh, how she wished she could fall asleep again. Closing her eyes as a sign of frustration, she pushed herself to a sitting position before yawning wildly. Smacking her lips, she leaned forward, arching her back in an incredibly satisfying stretch. Feeling her bones crack into place with a pleasant hum, she held the position for a few seconds before standing straight. Moving her head side to side, she cracked her neck bones before giving a shrug of her shoulders to completely loosen herself. Now, she was completely ready to do her duties for the day.
Turning to reorganise her own personal stash of herbs, barely a minute passed when a howl travelled to her ears. Lifting her head from her aromatic stockpile, her eyes stared out at the mouth of the cave. Who would be calling at this time of the morning? Nonetheless, the tone of the howl was urgent and it was calling for someone of her calibre. Giving a howl in return to signal that the message was received, she returned back to her stash, getting ready for whatever job it was. 'It seems that I'll be having a particularly early start today.'
Before she left, she contemplated about waking Samoset up and decided that that may be a good idea. Padding over to where Samoset slept, she nudged him gently while coaxing him delicately, "Samoset. Samoset, please wake up. I'm so sorry for the early hour but someone requires help." Sure that that small wake-up call was sufficient, she left without checking if the male healer had truly woken up.
Leaving the den, she made her way towards the direction of the howl on nimble paws, with every intention on arriving as quickly as possible. It did not take much time for her to see a figure of a wolf in the distance and hastened into a slow jog. As she approached the wolf, she recognised them as Delta Tatsu. Stopping just a few metres away, she inhaled and straightened herself to greet her superior formally. Inclining her head in a respectful bow, she murmured, "Good morning, Delta Tatsu. I came as quickly as I could." Lifting her head, she regarded the larger female with a tranquil expression. "Samoset should be arriving later if he's managed to wake up. But for now, I hope you will be satisfied with just me for the moment." An unfamiliar scent arose from within the den and her suspicion was raised as it was not that of a carcass and nor was it that of Pyrvanthros. Being polite and deciding not to pry, she continued, "How may I be of service to you?"
ooc: Yah, hiii. *tips hat* Eirwen at your service, ma'am!

If you even dream of beating me, you'd better wake up and apologize
The crass she-wolf had already been awake, her demeanor weary and uneasy, when she noticed the Delta who'd blown her cover stand in the low lying den. In actuality, Yuki had been drifting in and out of restless states of near slumber since she'd been paraded back to her temporary holding cell, and she made a mocking snort beneath her breath at her own exhaustion. She had only just recently recovered from the irate insomnia of war, and she would have welcomed a decent night's rest after the humiliation of her failure and the long hours she spent scouting. Her body, however, seemed to be in direct opposition to the desires of her brash mind, and she swiftly found herself incapable of drifting into any real kind of sleep.
She had felt the prying eyes of her captors scouring through her back all night, even if no one was specifically there to watch her. She had initially considered making an escape, but ultimately decided slipping away quietly wasn't an option with the delta's stocky body blocking the egress. She assumed she could have dug her way out of the back, but that likely would have taken ages at an inaudible pace. Aside from that, her ankle was, much to her patent chagrin and resentment, completely useless broken. She doubted she really could have gotten far on three legs alone.
A quiet, bitter growl emanated from her maw as the other Fae howled vociferously from outside, and she bent her ears back slightly as she glowered ruefully at the den wall through baleful slits. What is that dolt doing now? Putting me on display? Having the wary focuses of an entire pack gawking at her like some mutated squirrel was not an activity she imagined herself enjoying, especially since a few of them had seen her elsewhere before. She couldn't care less what they thought of her; she never had, for anyone. But being the center of attention was a concept she'd rather avoid, seeing as she hadn't quite been forced into such a hostile place since her adolescence. Well, I'm definitely not going to sit back and take anyone's shit. She scoffed snidely to herself, her usually defensive disposition cradling her like an opaque wall.
She flicked her steel like gaze back towards the Pyrvanthros she-wolf at her sharp barking, a sarcastically vehement smile easily fall in over her maw. "Oh, is it morning already? I hadn't noticed." She pushed herself briskly to her paws, her broken ankle held up slightly from the ground as she hobbled towards the den's entrance. She offered the fae- Tatsu, wasn't it?- a patently false grin of gratitude, her claws sinking harshly into the compact soil beneath her. "Thanks by the way, for snapping my ankle. Made for a real comfortable rest, it's definitely much better this way." She knew, quite after the fact, that her spite was somewhat unwarranted. The delta had done what she deemed necessary to impede an intruder; her frustration over her own mistakes weren't really the fae's problem.
After a short wait, the figure of another she-wolf came bounding towards them from a den not too far away, and the austere scout silently assumed the white furred Fae was answering the other's call. Tatsu had stated someone was going to tend to her injury, and she guessed the wolf who approached them was likely one of the pack's healers. She listened in abject silence to the she-wolf's address, and it was only after she heard her demure voice and had further examined the Fae did she realize that she had seen her before. Right... On the beach. She was the one hiding behind Malachai.
She swallowed in quiet discomfort as she thought of her friend, her stolid silver focus softening slightly as it veered off towards the side. She had seen Malachai the night before- or, rather, caught a glimpse of him. She had yet to speak to him directly since her capture, and she wasn't certain what he'd make of the situation. He knew her immense loathing of Erenyx's ruling slug was entirely genuine, but she didn't know how he'd feel about her potentially endangering his pack with her presence. Likely not well. She didn't want to lose his trust; she hadn't been granted such a thing by anyone since her sister's death.

It took only a few brief moments for a wolf to answer Tatsu’s call. The distinct vocal pattern of a fae echoing back, muffled by the walls of a den. Assured that at least one of the pack’s healers would be joining them, Tatsu turned her attention to the Scout. Unsurprised to find the fae already awake. Her steely gaze fixed mockingly on Tatsu, a disgustingly fake smile plastered on her face. A sarcastic drawl pouring from her maw to meet the Delta’s thickly furred ears. Tatsu rolled her eyes. Smart ass, she thought ignoring the remark. However as her captive rose to her three good paws, her next words managed to burrow under Tatsu’s skin. “ Well if you’d simply kept your scrawny hide on your own territory, then perhaps I wouldn’t of had to break your damn ankle.” She snaps, having little patience for the Scout’s nonsense. Yet inside, she felt a twinge of guilt stab her. Scoffing she shoves the guilt aside. I did what I had to, she reminds herself turning to find a white fae heading her direction. “ You’d better behave.” She says, her voice a low grumble. “ Elsewise I’ll give Eirwen an extra injury to heal…” She threatens, her pale oculars flashing in Yuki’s direction. The menace in her eyes melting away however, as Healer Eirwen bowed before her. She inclined her head back, a far lighter look in her eyes. “ Morning Healer Eirwen. Thank you for joining me so swiftly.” She says, slightly disappointed that Samoset had yet to join them. Shaking the thought away, Tatsu refocused on the task at paw. Stepping to the side, Tatsu revealed her captive to the the healer. “ This is our newest guest to Pyrvanthros. She was caught trespassing and by order of Magnus is staying with us for a bit. “ She explains, keeping her explanation brief. “ Magnus asked that a healer see to her wound.” She nods to Yuki’s ankle. “ Don’t worry.” She adds, her gaze flashing over Yuki once more. “ She’ll cooperate peacefully.” She finishes, ready to flatten the Scout at the slightest hint of aggression.

The healer had been drifting through a blissfully dreamless sleep when a soft spoken voice abruptly began to call to him from somewhere in the ether, and he grumbled lazily in astute unawareness, his presently dominant subconscious determined not to lose the pull of sleep. The bleary darkness of selfless slumber had already been irreparably shattered, however, and he blinked open his weary brown gaze before stretching his forepaws out far in front of him, his jaws parting in a long yawn. The broad burn mark arching over his front leg ached with the motion, and he glanced in sleepy confusion down at the scar, his expression more accepting than disdainful. Mmm, hurts more than usual this morning. He thought simply to himself before pushing himself to his paws with a slow wince and shaking his heavy gray fur out of any debris. He consequently attempted to blink the exhaustion from his eyes, recalling then that he was running fairly low on herbs for soreness. "Hey, Eirwen, would you happen to have any..." He trailed off as soon as he realized his fellow healer had already departed from the den, apparently already needed for work of some kind. "Oh... Right. She woke me up." He laughed a bit beneath his breath at his dazed demeanor before straightening up and stretching out each of his limbs, his scar stinging haphazardly as he did so. Better see if she needs help... Someone might be hurt bad.
He padded stiffly out of the healer's den, his gait more of lumbering limp due to the pain in his leg. Jeez, it's like I'm an elder. He spotted Eirwen's white pelt outside the deltas' den, and a diminutive smile fell over his maw as he recognized the figure of Tatsu standing behind her. An alien scent drifted to him on the morning breeze as he made his way towards them, however, and he furrowed his brow in slight bewilderment, somewhat disconcerted by it's presence. He knew there were three other neighboring packs nearby, though he was only familiar with the scent of Agavos. He had met their alpha, Desmond, and the Warrior Narla, the strange Fae who had hailed from a distant land altogether, back in the winter, and neither had been unfriendly. This smell was extremely different however, and the fact that it was directly in the center of camp sent a chilling tremor through his bones. Were... were we invaded? The notion petrified him; he was well aware of what a rival pack could do. Subsequently his head filled with nervous uncertainties: had someone been attacked? Were there more on the way? Was he going to run, again?
He soon discovered there was a strange, scrawny red female standing beside Tatsu, and he could tell by the way her paw hung that her ankle was broken. He didn't catch their words, but the intruder's expression was snide and unpleasant, and he could tell she was trying the delta's patience. He halted beside Tatsu before offering her a friendly nudge of greeting, a small smile present on his maw in spite of his misgivings regarding the stranger. "Morning." He murmured amicably, his sanguine tone falling slightly into wariness as he flicked his gaze towards the apparent captive. "Uh... Who is this?"
He turned his snout towards Eirwen then to offer her a polite dip of his head, his tone bright and genuine. "Thank you for waking me, Eirwen. I might've slept till noon otherwise." He chuckled softly to dispel his uneasiness, his usually confidently complacent disposition slightly disturbed by the unknown she-wolf's presence. "Need any help with the patient?"

Healer Eirwen
With her gaze lowered | 'She smiles shyly' | "A soft laugh echoing"
Her expression placid but tired, Eirwen waited as patiently as she could for Tatsu to respond and explain her issue. Feeling her jaw clench as she held back a yawn, she blinked sleepily as Tatsu addressed whoever it was she harboured within her den. Nodding slowly at the Delta's greeting, she tilted her head to glance at their "guest". Blue eyes widened marginally as they recognised the she-wolf and surprise briefly took place upon her face, but maintaining her professionalism, she immediately wiped it away. She knew this female, even if she'd never spoken with her. 'You were there on the beach. Did you truly trespass with ill intentions?' Flitting her gaze back to Tatsu, she made no indication that she knew the captive and instead allowed herself to make a more pointed expression than her features usually had. "I see. Well done in apprehending this...intruder."
As Tatsu pointed out the other female's injury, Eirwen's epxression softened considerably. 'A broken ankle. To keep her from running.' Exhaling softly, she said, "I shall see what I can do. For now, we will work on lessening her pain." As she moved to take a closer look at the captive's leg, Samoset appeared. Distracted by his sudden presence, she smiled gently for a second, pleased that he had managed to wake up, despite her rather weak alarm. Her features pursed slightly as she noticed the limp in his gait, noting to ask him later about it. What happened; was he hurt? Speaking lightly, her voice smooth and tranquil in quality, "Good morning, Samoset. It was the least I could've done, but I'm sorry if I woke you unnecessarily earlier than you'd like or if it is an inconvenience." She trailed off, before continuing in the same tone, "Besides...I wouldn't want you to miss out on an opportunity to help someone."
Lowering her gaze bashfully, she disguised her insecurity by addressing the injured female. "I hope you will find the heart to forgive me for any future pains that may be inflicted while we readjust your broken ankle." The female's broken appendage was sticking in a concerning angle and the healer was determined to fix it. She was relieved to see that the bone hadn't broken through the skin, but there was already swelling, which had to be staunched immediately. Grimacing at the lack of herbs in the area, she inhaled deeply, before turning to Samoset and asking, "Do you happen to have any alder leaves? I believe we should stop the swelling before doing anything." It wasn't a problem if he didn't, it would just take a little longer for them to attend to the ankle. She had a few clumps of the herb within her den and while she went to fetch it, she thought it would be good to bring back some willow bark and lavender. But for now, she would see what Samoset thought.
ooc: it just turned into verbal goop by the end. i don't even know.

If you even dream of beating me, you'd better wake up and apologize
Yuki scoffed somewhat at the delta's curt retort, the vehemence of her expression subsiding into a dull smirk. "Right, ok. So the next time my petty excuse for an alpha mutilates a companion of yours and threatens to demolish your pack, I'll just ignore it and let him do what he will. Note taken." She knew her bitterness was fairly frivolous now; arguing with the Fae was completely illogical. All she was doing was exacerbating already high tensions, and if she wanted these wolves to trust her warnings, she would have to act with a bit more patience. The thought irritated her the moment it crossed her mind; she wasn't one to let others demean her. Oh come on, this is stupid. She asserted stridently to herself before expelling a short huff, her inflamed disposition gradually cooling into an austere apathy. You're just throwing a fit because of your own negligence. Grow the hell up. If you really want to help these wolves, don't chew their ears off every time you open your mouth. Subsequently she kept her maw shut as Tatsu addressed the healer, though she did offer the delta a diminutive smirk of mocking at her indirect threats.
As she turned her flint like focus towards the healer, She noticed the astonishment that flashed across her expression, and she assumed then the Fae had recognized her as well. She'd caught the name Eirwen from the delta's greeting, and her snide disposition slackened somewhat as she watched the she-wolf. There was something else familiar about her, though she wasn't certain exactly as to what it was. She'd only ever seen the healer once before.
Her pondering was interrupted by the appearance of another wolf shambling up behind the delta, and she narrowed her eyes slightly as she examined the gray furred male's demeanor. He seemed as though he was disconcerted by something, though he had no trouble getting close to his superior. If this were Erenyx, she'd threaten to rip your hide from your bones. She didn't care for the rank system and often made her feelings clear when higher ups attempted to belittle her, but the authority figures of her pack took caste ridiculously seriously. A wolf of lower rank would never be permitted to greet a delta in such a casual manner. Well, at least these wolves aren't scrambling to invoke superiority all the damn time.
The male revealed himself to be another healer, though his wariness at her intrusion was fairly palpable beneath his cordial facade. She couldn't say she appreciated wolves like that; he was merely hiding his candid thoughts and feelings because he didn't want to upset anyone, didn't want anyone to be upset with him. For a she-wolf as unapologetically blunt as her, he seemed to be rather diffident, weak willed and faint of heart.
His colleague seemed happy enough to have his company, however, and once again the scout found herself subtly perplexed by the she-wolf's demure demeanor and timid tone. Her stature and appearance were familiar as well, and a fresh wave of agony, recollection, and guilt sliced through her chest at her kind words. It was obvious then; this she-wolf reminded her of her sister. Their dispositions were similar, their temperaments, their voices; she even looked a great deal like the sibling she'd lost, aside from the color of her eyes. She swallowed the hard lump closing up her throat before shifting her harsh steel gaze over to the side, her body tensing with a loathing regret so deeply rooted she barely managed to conceal it. "Just do what you need to." She muttered, her tone a bit more sharp than she'd intended it to be. She didn't want to be reminded of that failure, of the objective that was still far out of her reach. She assumed her captors would merely attribute it to her general crabbiness, but beneath her russet pelt her blood was boiling. She wasn't happy she'd been captured, but she was glad she had the opportunity to shove Teren even an inch closer to his own demise. She was going to spill every bit of knowledge she had on the pathetic waste, every strategy and tactic she'd conjured to combat him. She was going to ensure he and Hasoka and every other depraved creature like them would be sent to hell where they belonged, and she swore on her life, she would not lose another wolf she cared about or trusted.

The muscles in Tatsu's jaw twitched irritably. Her pale oculars flashing in Yuki's direction, her jaws parting in a silent snarl. " That's what you claim... yet you snuck into our territory in the middle of the night. Covered your scent with the water, and slunk around like a rat. Sorry if I don't trust the words of a Erenyx pawn." Tatsu shot back, her fur ruffling up around her neck. She wouldn't stand for the captive's snide tongue. If she wanted to make her stay there more unpleasant so be it. She'd make the fae's time there a living hell if she so desired. Luckily for Yuki, Tatsu was distracted and calmed by the healer's presence. Her sharp gaze catching an odd exchange between the pair. Slightly puzzled she shrugs it off, her attention now focused on Eirwen's words. Her broad skull inclining slightly at the compliment. Gaze following the healer's as she glanced at Yuki's dangling paw. It did look rather nasty, swelling all around the joint. Swallowing some, Tatsu shoved her guilt aside. Remembering how snarky and rude the fae was helped. She was no sweet innocent fae, she had tried to run off, she had invaded the territory. She's also a pain in the ass to watch, thought Tatsu flatly.
Tatsu's spoiled mood lightened some however as the grey form of Samoset appeared. His gentle nudge alerting her to his presence. There were few Tatsu allowed so close to her. However as his gentle vocal pattern filled the air, she felt herself relax. The fur around her neck settling, as she peered over at him. " Samoset, thanks for joining us." She murmurs, her pale oculars no longer filled with the loathing she had for Yuki. " This is our newest guest..." she adds, realizing she didn't actually know their captive's name. She'd never revealed it to them. " She was caught trespassing." Tatsu explains, nodding to the fae's broken ankle. " As a result she was injured. Magnus asked it to be seen to while she stays here." She finishes, all the while keeping one ear on the conversation between Yuki and Eirwen. Disliking the Erenyx fae's tone, she held her tongue. She made no movement towards Eirwen and that's what mattered most. Slipping back as Eirwen addressed Samoset, Tatsu took to overlooking the process. Her sharp gaze flickering between the three wolves. Mildly curious as to how Eirwen and Samoset would work together. Unsure which was more skilled than the other.

The male smiled amiably at his peer's demure reply, though a twinge of self consciousness did ripple down his spine as he noticed the minute tensing of her expression at his awkward gait. Ah, she noticed the limp. Subsequently he took a casual seat, stretching his burned leg inconspicuously out slightly in front of him in order to lessen the persistent sting. The pain that accompanied his old wound was chronic; he didn't want Eirwen to worry about something she could not cure. He had applied aloe after initially receiving the injury, though he did admit the succulent took quite a bit of searching to find. That had been more than a year ago now, and he merely treated himself with ragwort or willow on days as intolerable as the present one.
He listened in tranquil silence as Tatsu explained the strange female's presence, though it seemed no one really knew much about who she was exactly or why she was there. He did breathe a diminutive sigh of brief relief, however; she was the only trespasser. He supposed she could have been a rogue of some sort, but, then again, the scent that drifted about her was a fairly solidified amalgam of several other wolves. She'd come from another pack, and though it did not yet appear that they were under a significant assault, her motives were a mystery, and the uncertainty greatly unnerved beneath his cordial exterior.
He could tell from the spite his friend afforded the intruder that she shared his unease, and consequently he shoved his own silent fears down into the abyss of his mind, a jovial smile blooming confidently on his maw. "Well, she certainly can't cause any trouble now. Not with Pyrvanthros's strongest delta guarding her." He laughed quietly in his usual attempt to lighten dim spirits, and though on some shallow level of his mind he had convinced himself it was for her sake, he knew he was really just attempting to reassure himself. He didn't want to question what could happen if more of her pack came searching for her.
He turned his amicable brown focus back towards his fellow healer as she offered up her thoughts, and he nodded slightly, his demeanor pensive as he glanced about the wound. "Yeah, I have alder. I can go get some comfrey and willow too, and... Poppy, maybe?" He shifted his attention towards the russet furred Fae scowling by the den's egress, frowning slightly at her clipped tone and snappy disposition. "Maybe the chamomile and thyme as well."
He turned away then before padding briskly back towards the medicine den, forcing his stiff leg to function as best as it could. Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow... He hid his grimacing behind a strained grin before ducking inside the dwelling, the tips of the fur bristled along his back brushing the den ceiling. He pushed his way to the back of his store, tentatively sniffing out the serrated alder leaves and the smooth ellipses of comfrey. He gathered his supplies up in his jaws, ever careful not to crush his load, before trotting gingerly back into the open, his walk lumbering and his thoughts warily occupied. Had another alpha sent this she-wolf? What were their intentions? Stealing secrets to be utilized at a later date? He assumed the notion was likely, and it sent a minute deluge of chills riding down his spine. It meant nearly for certain far graver mayhem was nearing, and if his own demise was a possibility, he was undoubtedly sure he would not be anywhere close enough to ensure the reality. The needs of his pack mates couldn't even begin to staunch the innate terror that ultimately dominated his mind during life or death situations.
He set down the crinkled leaves between Eirwen and the patient before neatly separating each out into minuscule piles, the poppy seeds and willow kept gingerly behind the rest. "The alder reduces swelling, and comfrey- this right here- aids in mending broken bones." He explained leisurely to the captive, indicating each plant with subtle point of his snout. He knew copious wolves were cautious about taking herbs they didn't know the effects of, and he preferred not to be victimized by her patently sour mood. "These back here are primarily pain relievers, though the poppy seeds are more of a sleeping aid." Poppy was virtually guaranteed to make her sleep, and he assumed she'd feel far better after a deep rest. Additionally, she wouldn't be capable of causing anyone foul for a short while.

Healer Eirwen
With her gaze lowered | 'She smiles shyly' | "A soft laugh echoing"
Quirking a mild smile at Samoset's compliment at Tatsu, Eirwen ignored the small niggling feeling at the back of her head, not finding the sensation a concern; she was more troubled with the captive's broken ankle than anything else. No first aid had been applied and the injury seemed a few days old, who knows what sort of internal damage could have been caused. The ankle would have to be pushed back into place and the action itself will not be pleasant for any of them. Inhaling deeply, the Healer prepared herself for the process; she'd never dealt with a broken limb personally and she only had the experience of seeing her Maesters do the job. 'Please let me get this right.'
When Samoset relayed back the herbs he had, she had the intention of offering to retrieve them herself, to relieve him of any further discomfort. But as he already went off, she slowly closed her mouth and stared after him for a few more seconds, before resigning to waiting. Turning to Tatsu, she said, "Did the patient have a reason as to why she trespassed?" Flickering her eyes over the form of the captive, the fear that came along with the idea of being attacked, shakily secured itself within her heart. It wasn't pleasant and she wondered if a war was at their heels.
A war had never been something to cross her mind; she'd been naive and believed that her pack was safe. But now that there was someone from elsewhere literally walking into their lands without permission, it bothered her deeply. Why hadn't the thought that invasion was a possibility? She had always subconsciously maintained that she was a realist and yet such a real idea just never came to her. Frowning, she felt immense displeasure at her own carelessness and prayed that Tatsu's answer did not suggest anything worse. She did not want the blood of anyone other than her own or her patients upon her. Even now, the blood of the captive seemed repulsive.
Holding back the urge to wrinkle her nose, she maintained a straight face, hoping that Samoset would return swiftly. When said male did appear, her azure gaze immediately fell upon the herbs he had brought along with him. Pleased with the substantial amount, she inclined her head towards her fellow Healer in gratitude. As he explained their properties, Eirwen went ahead and combed a small amount of the alder into her vicinity and promptly took them into her mouth. Chewing quickly, she did her best not to swallow any, hoping to give as much of it as possible to the captive. Once it was somewhat a paste, she held her head over the female's injured limb and spread the ointment upon the swollen flesh. Using her snout to cover most of the area, she was careful not to agitate the ankle even further, dragging the salve delicately with each push and pull. Pulling back, she wiped the remnants of the paste from her face with a swipe of a paw and murmured, "Once the swelling has gone down, please chew upon the willow because we will begin pushing your ankle back into place." Sniffing slightly at the scent of the alder still present her snout, she continued, "It won't be the nicest experience, but we will do our best to be swift."

If you even dream of beating me, you'd better wake up and apologize
The scout released a short huff as Tatsu repeated her explanation of her presence, a diminutive smirk evident on her maw. Was "guest" her name now? That seemed almost too polite; she wasn't overtly skilled in the methods of manners and etiquette, but she was somewhat certain a host wouldn't snap their company's bones and hold them imprisoned against their will. "I prefer Yuki, you know." She interjected, her tone blunt, though her demeanor was far more nonchalant. If she was going to be staying here, they may as well know her name. It'd be far less grating than constantly listening to this pack's superiors attempt to palliate the situation.
She listened in quiet indifference as the healers discussed the necessary tools for their craft, the herbs they named meaning very little to her. She knew next to nothing about healing; all she was aware of was that someone had stymied her wounds from the war, and they'd been far too deep to simply disappear without scarring over significantly. She'd passed out due to their severity, and was subsequently unable to guess at what specific medicinal aid she was given. The only herb she recognized was poppy, though, she was fairly certain everyone knew what that did.
She pricked her ears slightly in subtle alertness at the white she-wolf's abrupt inquiry, her expression guarded. She could tell by her tone that the healer appeared to share her colleague's wary sentiments, and she sighed quietly beneath her breath, her steel focus shifting off to the side. Their caution was reasonable, she was well aware. Any pack would be on edge with an intruder in their midst without explanation. She didn't know how exactly Tatsu planned on answering her question, though she was fairly certain it wouldn't involve Yuki's side. She had already made it patently clear she didn't trust the scout or her word. Does she really think Teren wouldn't have found out if I met with Magnus and Chiara directly? That he or Irrationality or Braelyn wouldn't have recognized their scents and questioned why they were present in our camp? She doubted she could have masked their smells effectively enough; it hadn't worked here, after all. What's more... She didn't know the alphas, not like she knew their elite. She had only met them each once, and while she was confident their ambitions weren't heinous, she didn't trust their methods as much as she trusted her own.
The notion reminded her of the looming uncertainty of her own fate, and a minute knot twisted irritably in the pit of her stomach. Her return to Erenyx would undoubtedly be an unpleasant experience, but she felt assured that she could guarantee the preservation of her own life so long as she had something to tell the monster, preferably something she could utilize against him. She responded to Eirwen before the delta could spout something vague or malevolent, her tone nonchalant. "I came here of my own accord, for selfish reasons." She stated resolutely, her tone far less bitter than her previous address, and she turned her snout towards the healer then, a minute, mocking smirk passing briefly over her maw. "My oblivious little blood lusting king didn't send me, so you can stop worrying." Her sarcasm had lost a great deal of its bite, and it could be supposed her demeanor was something opposed to hostility.
She watched as the gray male returned, his jaws filled with a bundle of leaves and his gait awkward and stiff. She listened apathetically to his curt explanation of the herbs and what each was meant to do, though she did narrow her eyes slightly at his mention of pain relievers. She hadn't ever required something of the sort before and she wasn't extraordinarily thrilled by the idea of being deprived of her awareness as well as the use of her leg. She did her best to remain still while the fae applied the poultice, her injury throbbing dully with a persistent pain. The news that her ankle would have to be forced back into place wasn't ideal, but she held her tongue regardless, her demeanor austere. She could handle whatever agony there was to endure.

Tatsu knew the grey healer well enough to sense his own unease. Despite his jovial smile and the warmth which flashed in his eyes. Tatsu could tell he was wary of the captive. Something she couldn't blame him for. No one enjoyed learning that their home had been invaded by a intruder who's intentions were unclear. Let alone one who came from a pack known for malevolence and violence. However instead of addressing concerns, Samoset's words were aimed towards comforting her. Easing her unease, Tatsu flickered her ears back some. Feeling embarrassed by his compliment. She licks her lips and flashes a uncomfortable smile towards him. " I do my best..." She murmurs her voice trailing away. Interjected with the drawl of her captive. At last revealing her name. Yuki, she thought narrowing her eyes. " My apologies Scout Yuki." She says her voice as saracastic as she could make it. There was something about the fae that made her incapable of liking her, even remotely. She just couldn't stand the fae's snide personality. Glad when Eirwen stepped in to take over the conversation, Tatsu was more than eager to take a step back and observe the situation. Her pale oculars occasionally flashing in the scout's direction.
It wasn't until Samoset left to fetch the supplies Eirwen spoke of that Tatsu noticed he was favoring one of his limbs. Concern flashed in her gaze, as she watched him leave. However it was not the time or the place for such a conversation. Storing away her worries she tells herself she will go and talk with him about it later. Her sharp gaze flickering quickly to the ivory healer who remained behind. Her words taking a moment to reach the Delta's wandering mind. Her hesitation giving Yuki the chance to interject with her own explanation. " That's what you claim..." Tatsu remarks, her gaze narrowed. " Whether or not it's true is still to be determined." She finishes, glancing over Eirwen. " She did however give us grim news. Our Scout Marona has been captured and taken captive by Alpha Teren." She admits. She didn't want to scare the healer but she also did not wish to omit information from her. She had a right to know what was going on within the pack. Threats included.
Little time passed before Samoset returned. Allowing Tatsu once more to sit back and allow the experts to do their work. Her eyes roving over the three wolves. Ears listening to Samoset's gentle tone as he explained each of the herbs to Yuki. Wondering if she would refuse them. However as Eirwen stepped forward to assist the fae, she did not bulk. Instead she stood like a tree, allowing the ivory fae to do her work. When finished, Eirwen explained the next part would hurt. From the tone of her voice, Tatsu expected it was going to be more than a little painful. Shifting some she kept her gaze glued to Yuki, ready to pin her to the ground at the slightest sign of aggression towards Samoset or Eirwen. She didn't care how much agony the Erenyx she-wolf was in. One movement towards her packmates and she was going to have a lot more than a broken ankle to concern herself with.

He had not been near enough to catch the questionable visitor's remarks, but he was present for Tatsu's subtly scathing retort. It appeared that whatever alibi the Erenyx scout had supplied was not exceptional enough to pierce her cautious skepticism, a sentiment Samoset understood well. As a juvenile, trust was a simple concept that could be given and received without question, as his only company had been, at least who he thought was, his family. It appeared his naivety had departed nearly as swiftly as his optimism. As for what truth he believed, he found himself in capable of making a judgment. It was not his jurisdiction, though he was naturally inclined to regard others cordially. Well... It doesn't really matter, so long as she doesn't try to hurt anyone here. I mean, it's not like she can do anything dangerous under guard, and wounded, at that. He asserted finally to himself in reserved nonchalance, deciding to, when all was complete, attempt to keep his distance from the intruder. For now, however, he was a healer, and he had a patient who required his services.
He could tell from the respective glances he received from his peers that the limp had not gone unnoticed, and he offered them a casual, hopeless grin, his demeanor reassuring and confident in spite of the poignant tremor of insecurity that tingled down his spine and lifted the fur along his back. "I thought I was hiding it well enough." He laughed amiably as he shifted his weight to the unmarred side of his body, his gaze soft and unperturbed. "It isn't anything to worry about. Just an old wound acting up." He watched in poised silence as Eirwen applied the salve to the captive's injured ankle, silently impressed by the calm efficacy of her work. He had not watched many other healers besides his mentor, and his method of practice was simple emulation of what he'd perceived. He wondered if Eirwen had possessed more teachers than merely one; if so, her skills were likely more diversified than his.
He nodded at his fellow healer's warning before offering the red Fae an apologetic shrug and taking a few steps forward, settling down to his belly in front her lame ankle in preparation. "It might actually hurt worse than breaking it, but, well, you've got to do what you've got to do. Feel free to scream if that helps." He had set a dislocation back into place on two occasions; the first being when his mentor, in his age, took an awkward misstep and the second after Ama had injured herself in play. Argo claimed he had not meant anything by it, but, then again, he never had been extraordinarily fond of losing spars.
He turned his snout back to his partner after a moment of contemplation, his tone open and casual. "I can push her ankle back in if you want to keep her leg pinned down." It was critical that she didn't move or yank her limb away, lest she desired to cause herself further discomfort. He wondered for a moment if she would attempt to snap at him reflexively, but he doubted Tatsu would permit her the opportunity. Subconsciously, he somewhat hoped the procedure would follow smoothly, not as much for the sake of the captive's comfort, but so that he could prove himself a capable wolf to his pack mates, Tatsu in particular. He couldn't recognize it nor explain it, but... He wanted to impress her.
(Sorry for the severe lateness!)

- Since Healer Eirwen is leaving the site. Should we just say this thread is completed? -
