A strong wind from the north blasted through the forest, replacing the warmth that arrived with spring's promise of new life. Along with this cold wind, was a cold brute, fur silver-blue and white, two colors that predominately made up the tundra landscape where he was spawned. His walk suggested the walk of a warrior, one who had fought many battles, and barely survived a few. The large tundra brute brought chills to the deer that lingered in the forest. They took one sniff at the wolf and bolted immediately, not wanting to stay if the male was hungry. Icy blue eyes flashed at their movement, and blinked rapidly. The deer were no more than blurs for him, brown and white blurs moving quickly through the forest. The dim lighting caused by the canopy of the forest deteriorated the perfect eyesight that he was blessed with from the moment he opened his eyes.

Sighing deeply, he closed the icy eyes, his breath hissing out in-between his teeth. The sun was slowly setting, leaving him with less and less to see, until night finally robbed sight from him. He sat down, flinching softly at the springy grass. In his homeland the grass was short and tough, not this long, tickly breed. He chuffed with annoyance, and then breathed in deeply. The pack's smell was stronger now, telling him he was close to the border. He yawned exposing long, ivory fangs that were still sharpened to a point even though the male no longer used them for fighting and hunting, now that he was a healer.

The sun loomed closer to the horizon now, and he could barely see into the pack's territory. Getting up, he walked closer to the border, straining his eyes to try to see what type of land the pack lived in. The sun was now sinking into the earth, and the complete darkness of blindness was creeping closer in his eyesight. He didn't want to stay near in this strange land, near a pack's land while he was practically blind. Willing a wolf to be close enough to hear his howl, a large amount of air expelled from his lungs as he sighed deeply, and then a explosive howl rang suddenly out from the brute's chest.

Aurora's ears perked up and she was instantly upon her paws, her whole body alert as the sound rang through the trees. Since Azul and her had last spoken, change lingered upon the woods, a feeling of suspense and nervousness coated her body leaving a sour and dry taste in her mouth. Something was drawing near, she couldn't explain it, but she shoved the eerie feeling from her bones and turned her head to where the sound was furthest from her ears. Squinting her eyes she peered through the trees trying to spot anyone hiding in the shadows. Inhaling sharply, Aurora had a feeling of self assurance, for the first time in her life she felt proud to be working beneath such a noble leader. The way Azul ran his pack, gave her the proud sensation to call herself a wolf, and to be different. This was freedom.

Aurora began to follow to the sound of the howl and as it dissipated from the air, she then used her nose to pick out the scent of someone who was not of the normal. As she reached to the top of the hill, her nose caught his. Sharply her head spun around in the direction it was coming from and she picked up her pace to enter at him from the back. As she slowly crept forward, something felt different about him. Without thinking, Aurora took a sharp right and came in to him from his side, giving them both the advantage if something were to happen. This also gave her the chance to take in his size.

Suddenly, Aurora found words escaping from her mouth, a sense of higher power sulked over her soul and the worthless feeling she always carried was now gone. Holding her tail in a friendly but assertive manner, she stopped forcible in front of the male. "Who are you and why do you dare come in the shadows of the night upon the borders of a strangers pack? How brazen you must be and brave in your ways. Or better yet, it may be a lapse of judgement. I am Warrior Aurora, faithful and loyal subject to our brilliant leader Alpha Azul. You come here seeking something I presume." Aurora sat down in front of the male, her whole stance dominant and strong.

As she spoke, she looked him over, and the way he held his face in the night she knew he had poor eyesight. Aurora had seen this before, with a male a few years older than she, and she pitied them at night. Maybe this wolf followed his nose to the nearest border for the disadvantage he has at night. "You can not see at night, can you?" Her words hissed from her mouth.

The sun had finally fled like a guilty thief, robbing the sight from the cold former-warrior. A night breeze wafted past him, sending the smell of a pack wolf to his nose. Suddenly the twin peaks on his head straightened up, extending their altitudes as the sound of a wolf stopping near by his flank. He whirled towards where he heard and felt the wolf's breath. Knowing the protocols of a visiting wolf, he flattened the peaks on his head, lowering the massive skull in the process. His icy blue eyes searched in vain for the wolf's eyes, but he knew that they were resting somewhere on the wolf. He listened quietly to the wolf, whom he identified as a fae, and bit back a growl. Not to long ago he was the Alpha of a weakened pack, but still much higher than this warrior, and his instinct was to beat the fae into submission. But now he was a healer, as well as a loner, instantly lower than this fae.

"Yes, I have come here searching for something. I have come searching for a pack to join. My name is Takuyuitok. I am from a nomadic pack in the tundra to the north, who was weakened by a rogue attack and then destroyed by rabies." His training partially destroyed the guilt and remorse he felt about the lost of his pack, especially the lost of his mentor and friend Genen. But it still lingered there like a spirit trapped in the mortal world. "I came to offer my adept skills as a healer, and I hope that I can improve them and be more of a help to any pack that needs them." He kept his respectful stance, feeling the cold breeze again, sighing at its familiarity. Then the fae spoke again, and his eyes and voice grew cold, reminiscent of blizzard winds, relentlessly hard and cold. "Do not give me pity. Where I come from it is considered a weak emotion that I learned to never experience. Don't pity me just because I can not see in the night or in the dark. I am even stronger without it. It is not much of a hindrance."

Aurora listen to him speak, as if his disadvantage was not to him but to her. Prid has a funny way of making itself know. Her large white body stepped back from the shadows and walkdd towards the illuminated patch of forest floor. The moon made its way brightly through the trees shining upon her pelt makjng her look heavenly. She wanted him to see her she needed his full attention. "What history do you have with herbs and how long have you been practicing? Azul has created a splendid pack in which all seeking shall be tested and rewarded in ways one can not describe. Your work is to be taken seriously as you are already awar but all work comes with a price. Its like your sight, what isnt as strong for one thing, you make up for it somewhere else. Your disadvantage that I pity on is for your sight, its my nature to take so called pity on others. You nor I can change that. Please, tell me a bit about youself."

Aurora couldnt explain it but something told her to sit and listen to the male. Not just hear him, but listen to his words. Watch him, study his features. She already knew he would make a great advantage to the pack, but she needed to hear it from him. Aurora wanted to hear his story, feel his pain. Being different was what she excelled at. A smile crossed her face as her haunches made way to the clay.
