Stealing away from the heartlands of the Helidos territories the young orphaned warrior; Alexander found himself wandering towards a place that he held oh so dearly to him. Sure he had only been a Helido's warrior for almost a month but that didn't stop him from choosing a serene get away place where he could think. Traveling across the heated plains the emerald eyed brute made way for the refreshing cool waters of Kou'hai River, his pace was quiet feverish and rushed as the hot sun beamed upon the lands causing him to overheat some. After what seemed like hours but had actually been only minutes, the canine came to a stop sparkling emerald orbs gazing at the scenery before him.
The young warrior wasted no time wading into the flowing water puffing out a whirlwind of hot air from his lungs. Rushing waters crashed against the tri-colored brute's body sending shockwaves of refreshment over him. The summer in particular seemed to be a lot hotter than any other summer that he had endured before, heatwaves flooded the terrains forcing those who wished to live to hydrate frequently. He however found himself wading in the refreshing waters of the territories many rivers, streams, and waterfalls. Twas true that he had his fair share of mishaps and mistakes when doing so; recalling his close run in with death itself during his visit to the falls sent a shiver down his spine and a deadly reminder that they were no place to cool down at. The current was far to strong and could've easily whisked him away if he hadn't been so quick the get to an edge. A situation in which some wolves would call it luck. However Alexander believed that luck had nothing to do with it.
Emerging from the murky waters, the orphan carefully shook his pelt sending tiny darts of water flying in all directions. Salmon tongue lolled out of the side of his mouth as he seemed to become hot once more all to quickly. Having no desire to wade within the waters once more the mutt made his way towards a hanging oak tree who's branches stretched far over the rushing waters. Without much thinking the fairly small canine plopped underneath one of the delicately placed tree's, his legs sprawling out in front of him as he drifted into deep thinking blocking out the world around him.

Mei had just been accepted within the pack of Helidos rather recently. It was... interesting. The pack was mostly quiet and she didn't have any trouble settling in. But today, she was stalking her prey. She had noticed a rather young wolf that had caught her eye in the fact he was going in the same direction as her. She figured it'd be easy to stalk him. She had caught his scent and hung back to the point only a skilled hunter and tracker would know what they were doing. She had gotten lost, and wandered around for a bit until she had caught the scent again. Silver eyes darted back and forth as she made her way quickly across the lands. Haven't I seen that tree before? Oh. She mused quietly. She had traced her steps back to the point of where the pack made dens to stay in. She growled quietly and glared with anger. It wasn't her fault she had lost the scent and wandered away from boredom. She turned tail and began again, following the scent until she made it to a beautiful area with lots of water.
She broke into a sprint and tumbled into the water, pawing about and and enjoying herself for quite a while. She dragged herself out of the waters and drank heavily, shook her fur free of anything that clung to her and walked down the edge of water until she spotted her prey. He seemed out of it, so she quietly crept around the tree until she was on the side he wasn't looking towards. She lay on her stomach and crawled forward at a snails pace until she was right beside him. "Boo." She said in a deep tone, voice ringing out as she gently pressed her nose against his shoulder and then leaned back laughing.

With a steady rise and fall of the chest, the fiendish warrior lied perplexingly under the cooling shade of the tree. Cogs almost visibly churning within his mind as he seemed to drift into a daze, vibrant colors of green, blues, and even yellow clouded his peripheral vision as his sturdy gaze focused upon the mountains in front of him. The sound of rushing water began to fade and become somewhat incoherent as Alexander's train of thought traveled farther leaving him a mere still part of the scenery. Passing buyers would've though he were dead or either a statue if it weren't for the telltale rising and falling of his earthen colored chest.
Muscles tensed ever so often and a thin crease upon his brow seemed to appear whenever he crinkled his nose at a thought, seemingly discarding it. How long had it been since he last moved? Minutes? Hours? Days? Months? How silly it were of him to think of such things such as time. Of course he had only been within the area for a few mere moments, however his brain suggested otherwise. Usually it felt as if months or even years had past when the orphan became so consumed within his thoughts like this. But it never truly bothered him, because he knew that as long as he were still living, breathing, hydrated, and full it had only been a few minutes or hours. A formal instinct that seemed to be threaded within the brute's core memory reminded him of these things, and sometimes even letting him know that enough was enough.
Gentle winds ruffled the mutts fur as he laid beneath the tree in solitary confinement, truth be told he had never liked the quiet but had learned to live with it during his time as a loner. As Alexander began to slip further and further within his thoughts as a sultry voice filled his ears and something wet seemed to touch his shoulder. Alexander's body jerked forwards as a sense of panic filled his veins as his head whipped around to see who his pursuer was. With a heaving chest emerald orbs focused upon the silver eyed fae before him who seemed to burst into a fit of laughter. The warriors expression became a cold hard stare but quickly turned into a wholehearted grin. A quiet laugh seemingly pushed past the earthen colored males lips as his eyes scanned the female. "You scared the hell out of me!" the brute blurted out unexpectedly, ears folding back against his skull as he quickly realized his mistake.
Clearing his throat slightly the canine glanced off to the side before returning his gaze to the female before him. "Ummm...Hello." Alexander murmured a quiet and awkward greeting as he shifted his weight onto his left side. Tipping his head downwards to greet the she-wolf; he smiled. "Warrior Alexander, at your service." raising his snout to the sky slightly the canine said the name with pride only to have a bit of that stripped away as he realized something. The she-wolf was larger than him... A slight sense of embarrassment washed over him as he attempted to arise upon his toes to try and change the height difference but alas to no avail it did not work. Chewing upon his bottom lip nervously the emerald eyed orphan gazed upon the female, his brow raising slightly as his head tilted to the side. "Might I ask who you may be?"

Mei laughed with joy as she startled him. Her tail swung back and forth against the ground in a wag. Her ears perked forward and she breathed a sigh of relief as he spoke. She stood slowly and took note that she was much taller than him. She smirked lightly and shrugged her shoulders. She was thinner and more built towards speed than bulk. "Oh my, you sure are jumpy, ain't ya?" She spoke rather loudly and bluntly. "Quite short for a warrior, ain't cha?" She spoke with a tease in her voice even though she sounded joyful. She shrugged and peered down at him with her silver eyes.
"A name hardly matters when I could have easily killed cha in your rest." She paused. "You should be careful hun, wolves ain't always nice." She smirked once more. "I'm Hunter Mei of this ere' pack. Just recently accepted." She grinned, "and tell ya what, I'll guard ya from others if cha just holler for me." She laughed lightly, making sure he knew that everything she said was in light and play.

Earthen colored ears drooped backwards onto the brute's skull; emerald eye's gazing downwards in embarrassment. Although the statement were meant to be playful and kind, Alexander couldn't help but feel very meek and embarrassed about it all. However he did not let the fae's words get him down, lifting his gaze to the female once more the young brute tensed raising an eyebrow. The silver eyed female didn't seem much of a threat to him, despite her talk but he could never be to sure.
Primal instincts seemed to kick in as the mutts muscles loosened resulting his position to become a bit more slouched. A small snicker seemed to escape his lips, one that he was quiet surprised to hear coming from himself; for it had been ages since he had even uttered a laugh as simple as that."Ah, but I doubt that anyone would want to mess with me with such a brave and strong fae by my side!" he chimed in trying to catch her drift. "Hunter you say? It's a pleasure to finally be meeting someone who provides me with my food each day." Alexander's tail swished lazily behind him as a crooked smile made an appearance upon his maw. "Finding yourself at home yet? The Helidos lands are quiet wonderful if I do say so myself. They've provided me with more than enough, I only wish to pay everyone backfor all they have done someday. Mei snorted and looked at him with a silly grin. "Flattery won't get you a free meal." She teased lightly. Her grey eyes danced and she chuckled. "I was actually exploring the lands a bit today, they are wonderfully beautiful." She added after he had finished speaking. "After-all, it's also good to know the lands when ye are hunting." She smirked lightly and turned her head slightly. "I saw some hares over yonder, do you wish to hunt with me and bring back food and pelts for the pack?" She asked quietly, her voice more of a command than a question as she spoke. "We could see who catches more, you or me! A race! It's good training for both a Hunter and a Warrior." She didn't wait for answer but instead bounded out into the open. She stopped once she was a good distance away from the tree before she crouched down and wiggled until she was in ready position. She let her ears roll forward and this would be the position she stayed in until he said for them to go. That is, she was assuming he would follow her lead. She was treating him like he would obey her every command or demand, mainly because she was a stuck up pain in the neck. She smirked as she waited, hardly patient enough to sit still.

Faking a pout the young warrior let out a half exaggerated whine "Aw, bummer." he huffed pawing at the ground. A gentle smile caressed Alexander's maw as the silver eyed fae answered his question, before retorting with her own. Emerald eyes twinkled as he gazed around the area before letting his attention drop back to Mei, only to find that the fae had already disappeared. Confused and quiet frankly astonished by how quickly the hunter moved he did his best to quickly arise from his seat; scrambling towards the female upon gangly legs. Though he hadn't been given a proper chance to respond to Mei, he figured that his somewhat quick response would be enough to satisfy the female. Chipped claws flexed against the earthend ground as Alexander suddenly grew nervous; he had not hunted in quiet some time. Twas true that from the day he set foot within the packs territories he had supplied himself from the kill pile, never once giving hunting a simple try.
Stumbling forwards the petite brute crouched next to the huntress, as a sudden lump formed within his throat. It had been years, even months since he had hunted therefor he worried that he wouldn't be good enough to supply the pack with there dire need for food. What if he were to slow to catch the rabbits? What if they got to their burrows before he were even able to get a nip out of them? What if he face planted in the midst of hunting? Shaking his head lightly the earthened colored brute glanced to his side towards the raven fae awaiting for her command.

Mei listened to the brute beside, turned her head slightly to watch him for a few moments. Her tail twitched and she nudged her nose against his shoulder and then took off in a fast, but silent movement. Her body stayed close to the ground, her ears roving forward to listen to the hares moving about. She didn't even see her target because of the tall grass that impaired her vision. But she heard them. She moved easily, paws pushing the grass aside until she was at the heart of where the sounds came. She leaped from the ground and onto her target, reaching down once it was pinned and snapping it's neck cleanly. She picked up her fallen foe and returned close to the tree they had been previously stationed at. She dropped her catch in a neat area and then returned back to hunting. Her instinct was to catch as many as she could before he did.
And as she hunted, her ideas kept coming. This trip she killed two rabbits and carried them by the feet, very carefully, and dropped the at her pile. She returned and spotted one of the biggest hares she had ever seen. It was rather plump, and it would be hers. She wiggled her body through the grass, but she stepped on a twig and alerted the entire lot of rabbits nearby. They fled. She followed in pursuit of the large one, leaping through the air she landed on it, but it squirmed out of underneath her and took off again. She scrambled to keep after it, but within a few feet, it squirmed into a rabbit hole. She sighed defeated and grumbled to herself, returning to her kill pile with a few tiny rabbits. She dropped them and counted, one... two... seven. She had caught seven rabbits, and she felt quite defeated by both the heat and the chasing. She collapsed onto her stomach and set her grey eyed gaze upon the warrior, awaiting him and his count of hares. She'd watch his every move and give him pointers when he returned.
