PostSubject: The Arrival Of Your Newest Asset. [Cliche] The Arrival Of Your Newest Asset. [Cliche] Icon_minitimeOctober 11th 2013, 07:25

[Thread is pending until after Cliche has been accepted. I just wished to clarify so that nobody suspected she was posting in the Erenyx clearing before her acceptance was completed!]

Beta Nyx had not offered her assistance, the oddly hued tawny male having been required to locate the Erenyx clearing on his own behalf. Such had not been problematic, the scent having been easy enough to capture and presume to pursuit. With great haste, the foliage outlining the clearing's entirety was forced into submission, having fallen completely lifeless in favour of granting him exceptional access. Pale eyes fleetingly examined his surroundings, trudging a safe distance into the Erenyx lands in hopes of not necessarily being seen and questioned, but certainly acknowledged. He was skeptical of his pack-mates. The Beta that had rewarded him with a Warrior's title had seemed harsh and unreasonable, a temperamental streak having visibly raged beneath her angelic features. He was not certain whether or not such was expected from the Erenyx wolves, though regardless, he could not bring himself to genuinely judge them based on such characteristics. He cared not for their behavioral patterns and would willingly oblige to their authority's will as long as they were fitted to their roles and reigned efficiently. Momentarily, his mind wandered to that of the pack Alphas. Certainly, they would share a similar viewpoint to that of their ferocious Beta if they had elected her for the position? Regardless, he would not dare back out on the promises that had been extended to Beta Nyx along her borders. Erenyx could very well have the most lethal reputation of them all, and such would fail to paralyze his obedient intent.

His limbs screamed at him to sit down and rest in tranquility, having traveled for such a long duration of time that, now that he had finally found a place to settle, he was experiencing the entirety of his fatigue. This tiresome characteristic did not meet his facial features, piercing forwardly into the Erenyx domain with an unnatural lack of sentimentality. He knew that he could rest properly at a later date, and do so away from the watchful gazes of his new pack-mates. As of now, his priority was to grow acquainted with a few members to a reasonable extent, wishing to be able to label a few of the faces he would be expected to familiarize with. He sought information upon each fellow carnivore, wanting to understand their behavior and, as of now, compare it to the Beta's. Ever a male that longed for efficient understanding, perhaps an oddly specific amount of it, he longed to decipher the difference between the attributes of lowly and highly ranked wolves of Erenyx. With this intention broiling thickly in his mind, a calculative eye began its thoughtful examination. Perhaps he would not be approached, and such would not arise anger from the newly accepted Warrior. He, himself, had immediate duties to attend to, a sideline desire of proving his worth still lingering in the back of his head as if permanently wound there by glue. He would achieve this at a later date, wanting to first understand perfectly what it was he had chosen to work with. A pack of hostilities? Perhaps, though it'd never be enough to have him being consumed by his own regrettable state.

Light shades of maroons and ambers sparkled in her eyes - twinkling evenly to clash with such a vibrant color, surrounded by nothing more but the lighter hues to her thick pelt. A small prey hung between her jaws, a quick snack she had managed to come wandering on towards the deeper parts of the pack camp swung lifelessly too and fro as the fae stepped. She mindlessly ignored it, watching out for her surroundings to whom she might find and what they would be doing. Her rank was but only a wise Healer, proven best in the works, and less at the fighting like the rest she assumed. Naturally, she was given the strength and speed, but never enjoyed the battles for it was more simpler for her to work with herbs. Some did not understand her in this case, however, she did not mind. Every wolf had a talent and a bit of interest, and if it was what she enjoyed to do, then that was what she wanted most of all. Looking over the eerie clearing, she huffed once, embracing the foreign scent as it would soon be her own to be embedded within her very furs. Her ears erected outwards, switching left and right for more noises to occur, some of a nearing wolf to where she knew not from.

Elegantly Cliche moved, such grace to follow with every pawstep that tread under neath in small pats to the soften leave ridden grown. Fall was such a magnificent season to bask under, she thought to believe, carelessly taking her meal to somewhere to hide so she could begin her light works of construction. There were many places to rest, but being given notice that there was a Healer den, she took it to heart and made another den for herself if it was ever needed for the sake of the Lead Healer's privacy. She was never one to but into someone's life or business, so, if it became an issue, she would respectfully become the proper wolf she had always been and take herself to rest elsewhere. Within seconds of searching, her lashes fluttered in awe as a handsome honey brown brute waltzed into the area, wondrously catching her attention with his walk and warrior-like expression. Curiously, she moved closer to him to stop at a comfortable distance before his eyes would peer to her. With complete politeness, she blinked once and stepped forwards further into the sheer light from above to examine him, fully exposed to him as she had nothing to fear, "Hello sir, may I ask whom you are? I'm a Healer, one of the newer additions to the pack, as I assume you are as well, yes?" Her head tilted downwards, no smile to provide while she knew that of by his scent that it was weak, much like hers, still foreign but touches of the pack scent to overcome them both, "You may call me Cliche, for that is my name. Different for a name, I would agree, but its quite alright. We all have our opinions." Cliche lifted her amber gaze slowly, sizing him up as he was obviously much bigger than her, and so she waited with utter silence, batting her lashes just once in sweet innocence.

He spied her from the corner of his eyes. No muscles in his body loosened, seemingly unconcerned with approaching the one that peered upon him from such minor distance, keen with remaining routed, and acknowledging her slow approach with nothing surpassed a blank stare. Tawny ears pricked at the sound of her voice: it was light and feminine. He made no moves to respond, not yet. Her question seemed unfinished, allowing the silence to extend between them as he awaited her elaboration. Surely enough, she smelled distinctively as new as he did. The slight upward curve of his muzzle could indicate that he was examining her scent, efficiently searching in silence for answers he was not inclined to directly ask, herbs and other medical remedies—their aroma all the more sickly-sweet—consuming and tainting her fur in equivalence with being rewarded knowledge of her pack position. She was friendly, so it seemed. It was a refreshing difference from what of Erenyx had been extended in his path. In response to this assumption, a small, wicked grin cracked the corners of his large jaw. He, at long last, clearly addressed the she-wolf in wait. The male angled his body toward her, a dip of the head gesturing his greeting, but otherwise motionless and regarding her with but an eerily fixated gaze. “Cliche.”

The word floated free from his jaw, cloaked in a thunderous mystery that only a male's suspected tone could carry. It was low, like that of a whisper. It could be assumed that it was meant for her ears alone, but the truth of the situation highlighted that no other was close enough to listen, if bothered to hear their words at all. He tested her name on his tongue; eloquence oozed from the wholesome robotics of his posture, the thing—hardly to be interpreted as a smile—that had accustomed to his lip earlier failing to evaporate under the pressure of what of him was near emotionless. “My name is Irrationality—I am a warrior of this pack. New, as you assumed.” He answered her questions one after another, the responses bleak and to the point.

Not another word was spoken, however.

Different. He had not been a member of this pack long enough to immediately label her as such, but in a contradiction to Nyx, she was a blessing. Dominance did not radiate, though he supposed it'd be wrongful of her if to occur. He took comfort in the neutrality of it all. In a motion of utmost fluency, he rose to his paws. He stayed glued to his position for an elongated moment, an almost uncomfortable moment, before he chanced a step in her direction. She seemed unusual, though not in a way that he'd consider off-putting. She spoke as if the world was absent of a care. She had no reason to fret or to be cautious, and he was entertained by its lack of frequency in those he had known throughout the duration of his lifespan. He did not interfere with what he was mindful to presume as personal space. Instead, he remained a reasonable distance, but close enough that the level, unwavering pierce of his dark eyes was perhaps ominous to fathom.

In response to her earlier statement, his quiet mind inferred his lacking of an opinion. He did not have one to offer. It was her name, and he did not question its origin, nor its originality. Perhaps it was different, yes. But it was fitted. “It suits you, nonetheless.” It was an assumption of her he had made in extremely short notice, but he did not take it back. The smile that had barely been ghosting along his expression began to fade, an unnatural seriousness darkening his eyes as he continued to analyze her Her company was of a more enjoyable sense. She had brought a light of charm into Erenyx, and it only broadened his interest in how the rest of his pack-mates would grow to fair.

The fae watched closely at the small movements of which the male made, none to be recognized of such easy emotions as it almost resembled a plain statue. But his features proved better of that description, as he was for what his name meant. Irrationality. Such a unique name, much like herself, and it made her curiosity known by the slight way her eyes trickled upon his every being. The name she claimed from the start seemed so smooth slipping out from in his mouth, teased behind a suave, masculine voice to bring several faes before him as if he were a magnetic field alone. He brought a different aura to the eerie clearing, filling it with just his presence to be known as nothing, whereas other wolves held plentiful of scars and rough attitudes, they were the outcasts, she believed. Two very different individuals, but yet all the very same in some special, undiscovered way. Cliche looked to him in slight glances, exchanging the ghost of a friendly smile at the corner of her mouth, "Irrationality... lovely name might I add." She said with elegance to his name, replacing herself from the stance to lower her haunches to the earth below her.

The ground was rich, and from the sides she could feel some of the leaves brush up at the ends of her light ashy grey and caramel brown hairs upon her sides. Her ears turned forwards in interest as she watched him, then turning her attention to the beautiful haven that filled her with a pit of nervousness and safety all at once. Erenyx had been told to be something of what is known as the criminals of the lands, and it was easily told by the Alpha male, Steele's stern encounter that he was not the least pleased with what she could do. There could be only one explanation behind those silver eyes, she thought, and that was the past. Instead of caring for the Alpha's whereabouts and histories, she promised within her golden heart that she would be loyal to all that he commands as long as she is to stay within these dark lands, "You're new... that leaves us one thing in common, does it not?" Her head tilted just shortly, tracing her black pupils over his dark caramel and sun-kissed color pelt as if it were a work of art, and his eyes only made it ten times better. He surely was something to look at, but nothing of the sorts to being underestimations about. As a Healer, she knew the life of warriors, the battles they fought through, the pasts they faced with fighting. She knew these things, like many should when it came to healing, strangely enough. And throughout her times, she had come across many injuries, and even separation of disease and disaster. It was almost as if she had lived through everything, and was just beginning to grab hold of a new by meeting this young brute in the place of sanctuary for her packmates' homes.

"Tell me, warrior, what brings you to these lands, as I would have guessed you too have traveled long journeys to get to such a place.. why stop here?" Her words were precisely made for small talk, reminded of his business as it was nothing for her to butt-into without his boundaries to drop in trade for her trust. The brute seemed like the wolf to be tough around speaking, but she was always willing to try in order to get a better knowing on whom she was living and fighting with, was she not? Watching closely from her comfortable seat upon the autumn floor, she curled neatly the tip of her beached-sand tail to rest over her paws. Her kill still lay where she had left it, the taste of it still on her tongue to make her pained with a bit of hunger.

[Apologies for the wait, and also the small length... I'm trying to locate my muse for Mr. Irrationality. x3]

His head dipped, acknowledging her statement upon the concept of their commonalities. They lacked it in a broadened extent, but he supposed it would give them something more to discuss with one another. It was what was unknown, after all, that could remain interesting when left to bask in silence. Having lowered herself into a seated position, the male took it upon himself to do the same. From the short distance between the pair, he continued to thoughtfully match his counterparts with a blankly lit stare. Her prod at “small talk” left him in a state of wonder, forced to maul through the reasoning he possessed in order to properly offer an adequate response. It was lost upon him why it was Erenyx, of all of the packs, that he chose to reside with. The ferocious carnivores that served under the reign of Steele and Esmeralda were, for the most part, monstrous. He hadn't needed to be aligned with them for long to understand this. Perhaps, his interest had been piqued merely because the pack itself was so vastly different from the majority? They did not seem like the type to willingly accept newcomers, and it had been a product of worth to be granted access into their rankings when he could have been turned away with an equivalent ease.

“There is something riveting about monstrosity. I've never had true insight into the minds of what is peculiarly violent, such why it was able to earn my intrigue with a rather uncanny ease.” He kept his gaze level, the entirety of his muscular body completely stilled. It was as though he was made of stone; a structure of such fragility that it could be shattered upon the lightest grace of a fingertip. The twitch of his rusted gold ears would be quick to dismiss the formulating illusion, but all-in-all it was significantly haunting to witness. There was such eerie boredom cloaking his expression, though despite his lacking of initiative to alter his outward perception, this she-wolf did provide him with a mindful sense of joy. Her carefree nature was inviting on its own, the charismatic pull dully noted but not nearly enough to arise a reaction from him. “I ask of you the same question, miss Cliche.” He paused briefly, his muzzle still loosely hanging open before he elaborated. ”It would seem as though the healing abilities I assume you of possessing could be of grand use in a pack of less ill intent, yes?”
