Time had passed since his experience with Kenai and the bear. The world had changed and the very tale of his bravery alone was enough to force his own father to glorify Kenai. But he did not consider the pup's feelings or even if he was hurt from the experience, the danger. Kenai had saved his life, but Lucas knew full well that he could have saved his own. He could handle a bear, a lone bear all by itself. That would be the simple part. Lucas knew he deserved better than what he was being treated like. He walked from his home, leaving everything behind him. He was ready for a new life, to change, to make a name for himself, and most of all - no longer live under the shadow of his father. Yes, he looked like Azul and he even somewhat sounded like him, but Lucas was on a war path and all he wanted was a juicy piece of revenge, a way to make his family pay for what they had done to him.

White paws marked the earth, sinking into the slight mud and dirt with each move. He was destined to make it to his new home. It took him a while to get where he was going, but Lucas knew he needed to toughen up first. He would train himself with the principles he learned from his father and the other wolves around him. He used them to hunt and to kill others who came near him. Lucas was driven and felt crazed. As he proceeded on, he finally made it to the border of the land he knew his father hated more than anything on the planet. With Deimos, and now Lucas gone, Azul would only be able to leave his pack to Athena. But she wished to learn of the healing arts like their mother and was not suited to hold the position of Alpha. Lucas knew this, finding joy in the facts. If something happened to his father, Helidos would crumble. An evil smirk traced along the corners of his lips. It spread like wildfire and blossomed across the path. With each step, his pace quickened until he was at the border. His golden orbs peered ahead of him, watching for any signs of movement, but none showed. Lifting his chin into the air, the young wolf released the loudest howl he could muster. As he finished, he lowered his head and dropped to the ground, pressing the weight of his body against it. He rested his head on crossed paws, waiting for the master to come to his border.

Resting within his den, he held his eyes closed, sleeping peacefully. In this night, he dreamed of many things. The first was his very first day meeting Azul. The white wolf was tall, not as tall as him, but he held a serious look within his golden orbs. The two were the first to start a pack. Wolves cam all around, some stayed with others left, but then he met Kenai, the third wolf into the pack. Immediately Steele hated him for all he was worth. He hated the brute, wishing for nothing more than to outrank him, allowing him the ability to harass and attack him for the purpose of "training". Steele was granted the rank of Beta, and Kenai was granted Elite. Immediately the midnight wolf felt a power over the other. When it came to more wolves joining them, Steele acted as if he were the Alpha, tricking one fae into believing it, and causing the relationship between he and Kenai to spark with activity. That was the initial fight, which forced a hatred to build between the two. More issues happened among the pack. When it came to giving rank to individuals, Azul believed they should just be granted, no work required. But Steele thought wolves should have to fight for their rank, prove they could handle the responsibility. The Alpha turned in his sleep, rolling and snarling in his slumber. If it had not been for the howl, the wolf would have slept clear through the afternoon.

Waking up to the noise, it had a familiar sound to it. Azul. Picking himself off the floor, a million ideas ran through his head. Perhaps the Alpha wanted to hash things out, wolf to wolf. As he moved about the land, his eyes were determined to see a large white beast before him. But as there stood a white figure, it was not as large as Azul himself. But the scent was ringing with familiarity. Steele approached, standing before the lying wolf. His silver hues rolled over the coat. He looked rugged, as if he had been on his own for months or even longer. He snarled, baring his fangs at the other wolf. "Why do you smell of Azul, my one and only enemy..? And why do you come to my lands? Do you have a death wish?"

Lowering himself as close to the floor as he could, his eyes averted from the alpha immediately. "Steele, Alpha Steele, I know of you very well. I have heard your stories of bravery and honor, told in different lights, but I see the truth. I had fled from the lands of my father and have decided to turn my back on his pack, and my blood. I see no virtue in my mother, father or sister. My only brother has been dead for some time, something of weakness I would assume. I bring you news that I know you would love to hear. I, by my own accord and that of a bear, have killed Kenai. He was the Elite to my father,as you know and now he is surely dead. I wish to join your pack, I can give you information on my father, of his pack members as I was around the pack clearing most of the time. Any information I am willing to give you, as long as you are willing to accept me. I will do you a great service alpha, I will serve you like I have served none other. I know I am only an Apprentice, but I wish to be your Apprentice, and to learn the ways of your pack. I am a fast learner, and I will do anything for this pack. My father is not fit to be a leader, you and I both know this. But I saw a greatness in you, when you were Beta for my father. But you are a more deserving Alpha." He held his eyes from the other, and looked away. He hoped that his words would allow him entrance into the pack, and hopefully trust.

Wandering around the territory, he made his way for the border. As he wandered, he looked left and right until he discovered himself to be close to his own father, and a new wolf which was requesting acceptance to the lands. It was strange for his own father to do such a petty thing when Nyx, Katyusha, and Chiara had been around to do it for him. Steele was a busy wolf, the pack knew this, especially Samael. He barely got a chance to see his father, dealing with the issues of losing all but one of his family members. They had left them both to be alone to their devices. Samael moved closer to the pair, hearing the last portion of the white wolf's request. He moved to stand beside Steele, looking over the white wolf as if he were judging his very character. Who was this wolf? He smelled of filth and stupidity, as was explained by his own father so long ago. "I think I speak for us all whelp, when I say that your kind cannot be trusted. I see little use in keeping you around... But if you swear your life to my father, to myself, the future Alpha of Erenyx, then I can tell you that you will be accepted, but don't expect anything higher than Warrior. Ever. Until you turn of age to hold a real rank, you shall be an Apprentice, like myself. We will treat you like the other Helidos wolf, Katyusha until you prove your worth to us." He spoke to the other in a harsh tone and looked to his father, "come father, we have much to do within the pack lands, let this whelp figure things on his own."
