Highway to Hell [Private] Empty
PostSubject: Highway to Hell [Private] Highway to Hell [Private] Icon_minitimeJanuary 24th 2014, 17:42

The sun was bright, illuminating the terrain in all its craggy, unflinching, rugged glory. Sunlight bathed the rocks in its eternal warmth, heating the surfaces with unrelenting intensity. The only places that escaped its wrath were the parts that the shadows thrown from neighbouring rocks or over-hanging protrusions. Even the hollow caves weren’t spared. Beams of sun penetrated the darkness, chasing it away. Tye had set out in the early morning from his den, when the sun was still hiding underneath the horizon line and the skies were painted with streaks of bright orange, crimson and spatters of golden-yellow with vestiges of smoky blue hiding in the background. He had moved quietly, his black form an unstoppable force of single-minded purpose and strength that would pay no heed to those who would stand in his way. Upon hearing the sound of hurried paws following him he had paused once when he had hit rough terrain once out of the clearing, his black form striking a distinct pose against the backdrop of the sunrise. His tail and ears were erect, upper body raised upwards in complete confidence with his shoulders back, head straightened and ice-cold gaze searching for the culprit who had made the noise. Tye’s black coat, though not as multi-coloured as some of the ones his pack held (the new hunter Magnus for example and Tye’s own colourful enigma with the strange name) and his posture made his silhouette resemble a “big bad wolf”, strong and regal. His stature was self-assured, fearless and untouchable as if it was not his title that made him who he was but his own self and it showed in his stance. His gaze promised only one thing to his would-be pursuer. Death. A long, painful drawn-out death. He had assumed it had been a lone fox or perhaps a puma but not another wolf because the scent had not been that of an Erenyx pack-mate. Then the sounds of the paws had faded, the pursuer disappearing into nothingness and Tye had continued on his way, head sinking low so his nose was close to the ground so he could smell any traces of water left behind by wandering wolves that had traversed the same path earlier or sandstone on paws from the rocks from Shallow Bend.

This was how he had found the bend. While he had only ventured here once the stretches of land in between had contained part of Frozen Fang Pass and part of the lake surrounding the less treacherous mountains. He had taken another route back to the den in the morning after taking down a bird to eat so he used his nose. The Bend was the only area that had a river after all and the water had a particular rustic, earthy tone to it that was a special brand of Erenyx. It tasted heavenly. Now he was sitting at the edge of the winding river between two curved rock formations, gazing into the churning waters calmly to collect his thoughts. The warrior that he had his doubts about was Silacea. She seemed like a princess who would scream if she broke a claw but she had determination on her side. That was something. The other one was an actress but her skills were genuine he supposed or she wouldn’t have been assigned the rank she was. As for the healer Aziza and Cliché, he abode by the belief that every wolf needed to have basic skills in fighting, even the supposedly passive, non-fighting members of the pack. He wanted them there to learn. He hadn’t asked of them beforehand but if they were near the Bend they should come.

As the current changed direction out in front of him in a venomous roar he watched his reflection break in the surface with the early morning sun hovering high in the air gracing him with its wonderful presence. So wonderful it made his rough coat gleam, outlining defined, developed muscles that rested at ease, waiting to be used by a taut body that had been developed and built like a fighting machine. Tye was of normal size for a male wolf his age though he thought he grew some because the ground seemed lower than usual. He may have bulked up slightly with the amount of travelling he’d been doing. Either way, he had very little fat to account for and very much muscle that was itching to train after having rested for a little while from the journey here. The wolf looking back at him had a fighter’s body. It had to be put to use. He raised his head to the skies, letting out a long, powerful howl that rose higher and higher until it had filled the entire area with spine-tingling strength. It left no room for question, only for those he had planned this fun outing with to come meet him point blank. It was calm, confident and layered with veils of power, cloaking shards of sarcasm and satiric nature that he viewed the world with. He had been demoted but that didn't take away his will or quiet confidence. It only made him appear stronger, almost unaffected. All that was reflected in his howl and it was no doubt Tye.

Cassiopeia's paws were light and careful as she stepped through the rough terrain. The trees had long ago abandoned her and the air grew drier as she neared the place the three were to meet. Her thoughts once again revisited Tye, the one who knew some of her secrets, his mane of spiked fur and blue eyes were caught in her memory. Her graceful steps caught on the orange stone and she turned the pad up so that she might see her folly. A thorn met her dark brown gaze and teeth soon put an end to the nuisance. With that fixed her smooth trot continued onto the dusty orange rock and nearer to the river which ran through it. Her chocolate gaze traversed the bowl-like walls as she realized how dangerous this place could be, if it were to rain heavily up river, the gathering could all drown. Her nose picked up Tye's scent just before his howl echoed off the rocks. Mere seconds passed before she was within view of the Shallow Bend and the black wolf near its flowing waters. A grin took her lips, it was nice to see him again, she had to admit it to herself. Her smile disappeared as she neared him though and sugary tones took her lips. "It is quite pleasant to see you once again Tye, I have heard of your recent demotion, I didn't know my clause would come into use so soon,"

She neared the waters, still able to see Tye out of the corner of her eye. Then she dipped her head to drink, the water pleasing her parched mouth. The morning had not been kind to her in more ways then one. Her eyes had opened long before the sunrise and no matter how she tried she could not return to her blissful sleep. Her hunt went unsuccessfully, having to raid the kill pile, all before the sun had risen. Finally done with basic needs she set off for Shallow Bend, with the first lights of dawn cresting the horizon. She lost her path once and had to try once again to reach the place where the trio would meet.

[Not in the mood, sorry]

Silacea walked through the harsh brambles, not around, on her way to the place where Tye's howl resonated from. Her footfalls cascaded across the various sized stones and pebbles. A sincere smile rose to her face as her tail flicked and flinched behind her. Little scratches soothed her once itchy pelt as she sighed. Brambles were so good for a nice, deep scratch that her body often ached for. Her mind wandered to Tye. She had heard of his demotion, and though she didn't favor the brute, she couldn't help but feel a tad disappointed in her alpha. Tye merely brought new blood to the pack - and if she was not a suitable warrior, he had brought new meat. But whether it a meal or a warrior, Tye had brought something. Though she did understand Steele's reasoning. He had, in fact, brought an enemy wolf into his pack. Her pack. One that under normal circumstances could have been writhing under her paws again. Screaming for mercy, twitching until all life had been vanquished from the fae. A shake of Silacea's head, and the malevolence was cast from her thoughts.

Her head dipped in respect as she saw the two wolves standing in her presence. A smile flicked between the two, who were the first wolves she had come to personally know.
"Hello Cassiopeia. I trust you are doing well today?" She spoke in a genuine tone before she drew near to Tye, lowering her voice slightly."I want to say I am genuinely sorry to hear of your demotion, but I offer you no true empathy, as I know that you will resume your rankings soon enough. Her own voice echoed in her ears. She thought that was enough to say. She couldn't help but pass a glance down to her foot as she saw a loose bramble twig that had decided to hitch a ride on her right front leg. One of the thorns pressed into her paw pad, so Silacea just inhaled slightly, and cast her pain down
Down

And down yet again, until she felt it no longer. She flicked her ears and looked at the two wolves, yet made no advance toward the bramble, as it wasn't an issue any longer. Her brain had manually shut off the signals of pain to her flesh. She have a flick of a content smile, and sat down before the two wolves, happy as ever.

Highway to Hell [Private] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Highway to Hell [Private] Highway to Hell [Private] Icon_minitimeJanuary 28th 2014, 16:10

The fae sat lonesomely at the top of a lonesome hill. Morning came bright and the wind blew with welcome through her light colored mixed pelt. Shades of all colors; rosey reds, sapphire blues, evergreens and honey yellows were all to what surrounded her, brushing against her as she sat amongst that hill in utmost peace and silence. Her ears flickered outwards before closing her delicate ambers to feel the serenity within finally escape her by only the soft pulses behind her small chest. Spring pursued to make her feel. What with all the change in scents and the seemingly friendly faces, it was hard to keep up with the rest of the pack; but she managed quite nicely on her own. The fragile one always was the strongest in some way, after all. Originality came and went as it would with the world. Life portrayed the spring with a natural beauty once melted from the crystals that once blanketed the grounds, but cracks and open creases upon the surface revealed it's true purpose - heartbreak.

A deserted place where the broken would lead and sometimes never returned. She had never felt it, but in that it would be but of only a white lie. She knew what it was like to crumble, though only the strong were able to unravel themselves and put the pieces back together to keep moving onwards to the brighter worlds. That was where she was now - the sun shining over her and completing that emptiness with something she sought to find for so long. Was it happiness, or a trick to make her believe? Was there something that made her warm asides from the sun's careful light? Her eyes snapped open and her pulse thumped twice before slowing back down. There had no longer been the sight of that new world in her mind to what made her eyes open; no. This was far from that, for it was a figure, one she could not forgot or replace. What was happening? Impossible, she thought bitterly, rising smoothly to her paws and treading back through the harsher trails - her aimless worries only leading her around the bend of a dark, shallow place.

As the wind took her, her thoughts paced nervously over and over. The blue orbs of another always seeming to stick at the back of her mind, reminding her that he was near, and that he would always be there. This silliness and foolishness was nonsense. How could one be manipulated into feeling the goodness in others and still feel as normal as they did the first time they had greeted one another? To what she knew not, her little body twitched with the rest of her senses. The display of voices echoed passed the walls of the bend and through to her ears, making them point in concern for her surroundings. She had not been here before, and had not planned to explore till it dawned on her the scent of him was washed behind two feminine odors. The mendor's light honey muzzle curled in warning at the smell before moving closer for a better view of the others. Her eyes were set upon the three figures as she hid behind the rusted rock - observing and analyzing the situation as to what they planned on doing. Not once had she seen these faes, and didn't have a reason to like them, or dislike them anymore than they did for her. To exposure, the mexican-colored wolf trotted away from her spot and abroad the middle of the conversation nearest to the male's side. She greeted him with a brightened smile and light twitch of her dropped tail next to her legs, "Hey stranger." Cliché joked quietly to the obsidian brute.

Rumors had spread of the transfer in bringing over an injured Helidos hunter, but the fae had not believed any of them until she found the scent of the fae drenched all across the walls of her healing den. She held no intentions to socializing with the opposing creature, but if the time did stand between them, she would not uphold an argument. If the one was to be civil, then so would she; the simplicity of it fitted the qualities they had after all. An eye for an eye. She looked to the rest and dipped her head in a slight gesture of kindness to their equal roles, "Pardon me - I am referred to as Cliché, if you do not know me. I am a Healer of Erenyx, and have been a little before you both had joined." Her voice was as soft as dripping honey upon the delicate tongues of a graceful demon, praised in a poised, collected manner while raising her amber hues to meet the one who had howled to her attention, "What is your reason for summoning us here today?" You've missed him. As her mind would sing if it could to the haven that live in the sky for those that perish for the ones they most truly love. And her thoughts were clear to the color of her own eyes. Had it not been for her stubbornness, the young healer would know right then that this was not just a phase.

It was real - and it was because of him that made it feel so unreal.

She blinked at the wall of the den, her eyes squinted as she concentrated. Some could say she were crazy but to be truthful she was just remembering a mixture of herbs. She flicked her tongue out to run over her muzzle before being dragged out of her thoughts. A familiar howl rang in her ears as it pulled her along. 'What is it this time?' She began with a light trot, following along another scent that seemed full of sweet mint and many other herbs before she came out of a opening of the tree's. Her eyes dilating as they adjusted to the amount of light. She rumbled in her throat before stepping towards tye in a stalk, her head low and her shoulders bunched up with her tail following obediently along. Her ears seemed sensitive to the voices of the others at the scene, her blue eyes flashed over them before returning to the omega. She felt compelled to gripe but being compared to a lazy elder was not at the top of her mind. She swished her tail over the ground before settling back on her haunches. Her eyes half lidded and her lips in a firm line. "Well?" She may have been blunt but it was straight to the point and she was sure he didn't wish to hear the same broken record.

As the howl faded, disappearing Tye’s ears flicked, hearing paws crunch pebbles and dirt. Not so familiar. He lowered his head, seeing a white-beige fae make her way towards him from the other side of the river. Cassiopeia. Tye was now a mere Omega, not even a warrior but his desires were absolute. He would continue to help his pack in whatever way he was best fit to do, whether it be hunting for food or improving his skills. Also others wouldn’t immediately expect the Omega to possess such skills. What a surprise that would be. He nodded to her, a morning’s greeting and replied, “You and everyone else at the meeting. I’m glad you made it.” Words coated with the same sugar but the strange thing was that glimpse of a grin that he’d seen when she’d approached. He watched her for a moment, curiosity darting through his eyes at what the cause could be. She seemed happier this morning for some reason, if not a little thirsty as she quenched her thirst on the river. There were no signs of physical exhaustion and she had arrived in almost optimal condition. Her eyes were weary, probably from difficulties sleeping. He slid a paw into the water, meaning to flick water at her to shock her a little until he caught the scent of another. Silacea. He looked at her, showing indifference as usual but deep down he was glad she had answered. It proved she was serious, despite what he had initially thought about her. He responded in kind to her, dipping his muzzle towards her then straightening. All he offered was one simple word to her own, amused at her contradicting combination of her (lack of) empathy and her genuine sympathy of his current situation.“Thanks.”

Seeing the bramble on her right leg and part of the thorn sticking out from underneath her pad, he inserted a single claw into the space between the twig and her leg, slicing it apart so that the thorn could be released. “There’s plenty of opportunities to get hurt later,” He chuckled. He looked around, searching for the remaining two. The logical part told him that there was no reason for either of them to be here. These lands weren’t bred for producing herbs or medicinal plants. The few that did thrive here dwelled in the deepest regions, hard to reach places. For healers it was too much gain for too little reward. Still, he hoped to see a flash of them within the crevasses of the terrain, one more than the other. Deep reds blended with soft greys, tinges of black, hues of brown and cream whites. She could have camouflaged herself easily here.

Scanning the area once more to find no sign of either of them, he didn’t let his face show an inkling of emotion as the party of three seemed to remain just that. He started to turn to the two before him until he heard the sound of paws crunching through the sand-bank of the river, scattering aside pebbles delicately. His ice blue eyes seemed to warm, tail swaying side to side twice as if he were permanently etching her features into his memory upon seeing her. It was a sign of happiness, in his own way. Tye’s own calmness allowed him only a certain amount of expressiveness, nothing so emotional such as a tackle but in the company of others, his feelings were even more restrained. In time though, that would probably change for the better. He took two steps towards her, then stopped as she closed the distance between them. A twitch at the corners of his lips, the faint echoes of a smile as her voice trickled through the air, imbuing it with life. He glanced at her, smirking at her joke and leaned closer to her, nipping her ear playfully and murmured,“Hello to you too. You’d been gone so long I thought you’d been eaten by our friend, the bear.” He pulled back, the smirk still on his face. She had not changed since he had last seen her and he was relieved. He kept his face composed but inside, his heart was racing. His tail had draped itself across Cliche’s randomly when he sat and he had no intention of removing it. He enjoyed her warmth and was glad that she hadn’t seemed to have changed towards him because of his demotion. But there was something different, something a little sharper. And when she spoke, he knew he had been right about her. Lurking in that small frame was something dangerous, something fearless. And Tye found himself drawn to it, as if he was teetering on the edge of a cliff.

True love was a foreign concept to him. He wouldn’t have known what it was even if he was clobbered senseless with it but he knew that he had missed her. He knew that he felt happier around her. When her eyes met his, he suddenly felt there was something fluttering in droves in his stomach and for just an infinite-second he forgot just why he had come in the first place. His sharp tongue almost failed him. Then the last voice, marking itself among the mixture of delicacies as a stalwart soldier among a trio of songbirds, tore his gaze away to fall on the compact healer. She could not have been anymore different than Cliché in both her mannerisms and appearance. Polar opposites. As she stalked towards him, he noted her posture. It was with-drawn, as if her nerves had been stretched tight for some reason. Tye watched her, reminded of one of his elders. Brisk, straight to the point and brutally honest, one of the steely-eyed matrons of a horde of unruly, rebellious hellions that needed to be forced into submission. He responded facing all of them, “This was supposed to be a training session based on a promise made between warriors…well two and one former one. Cassiopeia, Silacea and myself are here to train and improve ourselves.” His eyes moved to Aziza and Cliché,“I called the both of you here because I thought you might be interested in learning how to protect yourselves should the time comes when you won’t have a Warrior by your side to do so. You are free to leave if you find it boring

The inner demon growled at Tye's searching eyes, he was too curious for his own good. She would need to do something about those light blue eyes and the cunning wolf which backed them. He stuck a paw in the water before Silacea made her appearance, stopping whatever plans he had formed.

Cassiopeia nodded to Silacea as she approached, the mention of her own name caused her short reply. "Yes, fine." She wasn't present to talk, the idea of a good spar was flowing through her blood. Tye's movement towards Silacea surprised Cassiopeia slightly and she watched as the thorn was removed. A droplet of blood oozed from the tiny wound, the crimson color grabbing the demon's interest. She noticed Tye's looking around, was he expecting someone else? She received her answer as an earthen colored wolf emerged from behind a rock formation. The sand beneath its paws made a grating sound, immediately getting on Cassiopeia's bad side (if their was another side). She grimaced as Tye and the new wolf offered each other affection, very unexpected from Tye, it disgusted Cassiopeia, her long gone heart dropping slightly. Tye tugged at the annoying wolf's ears, at the mention of the new wolf being a healer, Cassiopeia imagined herself throwing the girl to the ground. This Cliche would be down for the count if Cassiopeia had the freedom to take her out. Her immediate dislike probably stemmed from the look in Tye's eyes, jealousy was most certainly a feeling the demon allowed. Every look they gave to each and way they touched pissed Cassiopeia off, her thoughts of holding back nearly flew out the window. She just couldn't imagine herself holding back on the fae, if she did all hope would be lost with an image of Tye's tail draped across her back.

Confusion was another emotion masked from the nearly white wolf's pretty face, she wondered what her feeling truly were for Tye. Why was she in such turmoil for this black wolf with his glassy blue eyes that showed close to nothing regarding his own thoughts. She wished she had an answer, but the demon was planning on answering, nor her dead heart who had apparently returned from the grave. Another wolf walked up to the quartet, making it more of a crowd then a small grouping. The even newer wolf seemed rather direct, only replying with a simple 'Well?'. Interest in this wolf was more then the one getting friendly with Tye, yet she still did not care for either of them. Tye began speaking before she had more time to judge the brown wolf with the white blue eyes. She made the assumption that these were healers, their scents laced with herbs and such. Things of that nature gave Cassiopeia no interest, she much preferred inflicting wounds rather then healing them.

"Oh it is quite nice to meet other members, I didn't think we were expecting others though?" Cassiopeia launched full force into a sickly sweet campaign, her eyes turning to Tye as she asked her question. She meant the opposite of her words, she would rather it just be Tye, Silacea and herself. She actually wanted some challenge in getting to these wolf's throats, Healers were no match for her, even well-trained healers. Anyone who was not in constant training and with some good wit, couldn't beat Cassiopeia. The quiet one, not reeking of pheromones, seemed more of a challenge, she would pick this one to fight if she could. But, no matter who she challenged, she would not show her full skill, unless it were completely necessary.

Silacea's ears casually flicked as they were met with Tye's words. She felt her heart flutter slightly as he removed the thorn, feeling the blood trickle from the wound, oozing out slightly. Her head was cast to the side as she watched it, then turned her gaze to Cassiopeia, who seemed to have been watching too. She grit her teeth at the sensation of the cold fluid seeping everywhere, and licked it, casting a glance to the healers Aziza and Cliche that spoke very clearly, Im fine.

Her mind then rested on the thought of training. She did not doubt the abilities of Cassiopeia and Tye. But she wondered if Cliche and Aziza would be worthy adversaries. Their faces seemed more lighthearted than that of her warrior companions. Like they didn't really get it. Or perhaps that was just her familiarity with the two warriors that was playing tricks on here eyes. She desperately wished to begin training, aching to feel one or more of the wolves under her paws. But then, she had to remind herself, this is just a spar. No harm may come to any of them. Her head shook slightly as she spoke up without warning.
"Perhaps we should start training. Did you intend to simply spar, or work on skills?" Her voice dripped like honey from her mouth. Though her heart longed for a great spar, her mind thought it would probably be more fair to start working on various techniques. But whatever they all saw fit would be fine with her.

Paying little to the rest, Cliche did not bother to look into their directions, however the change in the feminine scents made her become slightly intrigued to know whom was unsteady of her presence. In this case, her eyes gleamed curiously over the others before spotting the single fae of a creamy pelt and hazel orbs. What was the reason of this attitude, she would ask, but did not speak a word to the Warrior. She was not worth her time of arguing, and it would only create a bigger reason for Steele to be angered with his pack, now that he had a Helidos hunter within his ranks. A smirk rose to twitch at the corner of her soft lips as she could only imagine the picture of him glaring both at them for not respecting one another, but perhaps it was just the side-affects of spring that caused the females to be - territorial, she thought. If only they knew how long her eyes had been set upon the only male there, not that they didn't have a chance, that wasn't it. Perhaps a warrior was worth him, as she was of but only a mender, a healer of the weak or ill. If a warrior were to have him, it would only make more sense - they would be able to relate to each other, that is, "The bear came no where close to me, fortunately, but I cannot promise that it won't try to find us after what all we've badgered her with." The fragile flower finally bloomed and drug herself back into the conversation before turning her honey colored ears into the direction of all of what they had to say.

A spar? Her furred brow quirked upwards in confusion for the subject. She had always liked the male's personality and crazy ideas, but what was he trying to prove here by summoning Aziza and her, she wondered. Then her eyes averted to the others. The other healer, whom she had not been greeted with personally, had a fiery persona to her, and that strangely fascinated her in ways she could not entirely explain. But the bitter taste of the others presence, the creamed pelt-fae, was a bore. Cliche had already put a claim over her in predicting she was the underestimating type, and with that, the fur on the back of her neck bristled slightly, not at all hiding it as she was facing the female at the male's side. Her claws molded out from her paws and kneaded at the ground to keep her at bay before bursting out into a debate over who was wrong or right.

The fact she knew what the other thought made her uneasy and already wished to leave, but she would not give the warrior the satisfaction so easily in this case. If it was a spar she wanted, then so be it, but Cliche was not stupid enough to go against her. It was not a far fight, for her limbs revealed more strength and, compared to her, the healer was practically a rabbit. However the other Warrior did hold her interest, and was a match in size, surely she could take her, if not last a bit longer than one would expect from an average Healer, "I will try to keep my yawning to a minimum, but if you say you've summoned us healers here for a reason, I do not see a reason to pathetically sit on the sidelines as a spectator. Nothing to offend the others, but I do not know you. Not a thing, so it would be hard to be interested in any of you when sparing. I would like to learn for myself than watch, if you can relate." She spoke firmly to the others, keeping a leveled gaze and tone so that they would not come off of her opinion with anger instead of what she had meant, "Why not have a little fun?" Cliche asked, though her eyes darted to Tye as she knew that he knew of her ways around meeting new experiences. It wouldn't be the first time she's fought someone like one would in a spar, her pack did this naturally when one would wish to be granted higher ranks. Everyone was required to do it, that meaning as well Healers. They all were taught how to fight and survive, so with that, she would participate.

His gaze only seemed to last on her only briefly before he addressed to the other's of his meanings. In this time aziza took the chance to make a closer inspection at the others. One female seemed to be at tye's romp while the other two stood at a bit of a distance. Hazel met aziza's blue eyes, they seemed curious, which seemed strange since most warriors she met had been spiteful due to their almighty attitude. But for now she shouldn't linger since tye's voice broke through her sound barrier. She listened closely with pricked ears, she blinked choosing not to speak till the others had spoken. She paid more mind to the other healer who's ideal's seemed to strike the punch in her own mind. Though she couldn't help the bite that bubbled up inside. She now rose her head, a smirk curling her upon her maw as she began to speak. "Oh? Have i been honored enough to witness the warriors in their training?" She snickered before padding forward past cliche and tye, her gaze sweeping over the land that lay about them. His words rung drew as it seemed the plants would never survive in such a place but they weren't really needed...the thing was did they really have time to play with these warriors. She rolled her shoulders with a snort before turning back. "Don't go easy on me just because of my rank either. I don't take kindly to such ignorant pity." Her voice a joking tease, maybe a bit to friendly of a way to address these strangers but she didn't want any of them to take any unnecessary offense to her words.

Meeting Cassiopeia's brown hues with his own ice blues, he said his voice taking on a steel-edged tone, [color=#99ccff]"I invited Cliché and Aziza here to learn, nothing more nothing less. His eyes strayed to Silacea as she spoke and he continued, "Before we begin I want to know one thing. Silacea, Cassiopeia, have either of you killed a wolf before?" The question was placed as casually as one would ask of the weather but the intention behind it was deadly. He wanted to know how far these two were willing to go, how hard they would fight so he would know how much they differed from each other in terms of skill. His method of sparring was borne from his past which involved survival matches, from scuffles which main aim was death, not even submission. There was blood on his claws, even more so on his coat and death had been the only thing he knew. He had lived it in the muscles of his puppy body that had been thrown out into snow-ravaged cold blind and deaf to crawl by to the den by himself with howling winds that clawed into his tiny bones and frost-bitten paws, guided by nothing but blind luck. That had been a custom for each pup of his old pack. He had lived it after he had emerged barely alive from fights that had left him with broken ribs and once even a broken spine. He had breathed it when his own brother had thrown him into the freezing river to drown. It was only thanks to the influence of his dear mother he not turned into a fully-fledged, murderous rampaging terror that slayed all that crossed his path. His heart was not black after all but it had been worn by horrors that had permanently etched themselves into his mind. It was a miracle he had not gone mad.

Speaking of madness, he sensed something in the air. It wasn’t excitement, though that was palpable in the air. It took a moment for him to identify what it was exactly but when he saw Cliché’s fur bristle at Cassiopeia, her claws raking the ground in an attempt to restrain herself the light bulbs in his head began to click. Animosity. Cassiopeia it seemed, did not want Cliché here for some reason as he had sensed from her initial question and Cliché had not taken a liking to her. The male could not fathom why. They hadn’t wronged each other and in fact, just met. He had thought it would be a good training exercise. Whatever the case, he decided not to ask and made a mental note to keep an eye on the pair in case a fight broke out. He had seen what happened when two faes who possessed ill will towards one another fought. A lot of black eyes, bloody noses and broken limbs. And Cliché, though having some experience in fighting, most likely didn’t have the experience that Cassiopeia had and discounting that, not even the size to match. He had no doubt Cassiopeia would kill her if things got too heated, even claim it as an accident. He had only intended for Cliché and Aziza to watch and only participate if they were comfortable to or if after he saw what level Cassiopeia or Silacea was, to encourage them to do so. The healers in his old pack may have been granted with that lucky fortune of having no choice but to fight but that was his pack, not this one and there was no need to force them to join when the result would be grievious bodily harm.

Of course, he should have known better. This was Erenyx where every wolf carried hearts of steel, accompanied by wills that were titanium and the healers were of no exception. He glanced at Cliché as she spoke her words directed at the others, pride swelling in him at them. It was a shame to him that she hadn’t trained to be a warrior though he had no doubt that she made a brilliant healer. Passion and courage were also very important for a warrior and a keen mind. Cliché had those in spades. When her eyes darted to his, he merely nodded. He knew of her attitude towards new experiences which was akin to grabbing it by its throat and wrestling it to the ground so with that, he expressed his reassurance that indeed, she could have her fun provided it didn’t get her killed. As Aziza strode past them, speaking of not going easy on her and joking, he chuckled and said in return,“Next time I’ll make sure to conduct the training in total secrecy Aziza. As I said you’re welcome to leave at any time.” He looked at each fae gathered in turn as he waited for Silacea and Cassiopeia to respond, gauging potential match-ups. It would be lunacy to pit a healer against a warrior. Tye still had not seen any of them in action so he had only rank to go by and that was by far, the safest option. He could not stop fatal injuries from occurring two of them or three or all four if they fought warrior to healer. One probably but two, most likely not considering the proximity and speed of the attacks. He would not play favouritism. He had the safety of all four of them to consider and as healers, he would place a higher priority over them. If any of them were fatally injured Cliché and Aziza were the only two that could heal them. So…that left only two options. Warrior against warrior and healer against healer. As a fair fight as can be. And perhaps, even Silacea against Cliche and Aziza combined or individually depending on what kind of promise they showed.

Cassiopeia didn't like Cliche, even the way she spoke put her on edge. It was just something about the wolf and it made her tense, her spine and hind legs ready to rocket her at the other wolf. That's when a cold voice filled her head, it reminded her of Alpha Steele's dark, cold voice, something you could not ignore. She nearly turned to look for his black fur, but no one else responded to the near shout. Her skin froze under her fur which was heated by the morning sun. His words were drawn out You are letting your emotions get the better of you. Her mind found the truth in the words and she quickly took a 360, no more could she hold her animosity towards the coquette. Her skin once again warmed and the distant look left her eyes. The words and reaction had taken less than a second, though it felt like hours to the frozen cream wolf. She shivered, hoping her face hadn't shown any of the emotions which had passed through her. She doubted it though, more than likely she had just seemed lost in her thoughts.

She re-arrived in time for Tye's words, his question nearly as chilling as the demonic voice which had taken her to a darker, colder place. The same place which held the answer to Tye's question. She was at a loss and speechless, how could she respond that she didn't know? They would surely think her completely insane if she said she was frightened to ask her demon, she almost didn't want to know as well. Once again rushed with a cold feeling, the demon made another entrance and appeared in Cassiopeia's mind's eye. His fiery face merely nodded in answer to her question, confirming one of her fears, she had killed another wolf. Her breath left her body, the last of her warmth leaving in that breath. Her chestnut eyes found his blue ones, she couldn't hide the fear in them, but it was privy only to Tye. In the same instance she uttered in a icy voice "Yes," it wasn't very loud, but she was assured that every wolf in their group heard her admission.

She couldn't stay so close to her fellows, she backed up and went in the same direction as Aziza. Warmth slowly seeped back in, starting with her back, where the sun hit her first. She couldn't let the others see her face, it was an open book, the sun yellowing her pages. With the warmth she recovered, rebuilding her walls, readying herself for the faes and Tye. Without pausing a beat from when her book was sealed, she turned back to the wolves with an apologetic smile. She couldn't trust her voice to hold back the glacial fear, instead she just avoided eye contact, feigning fear of being judged.

Silacea scoffed at the two healers. Such arrogance.. Her mind spat in a judgmental bout of rage. Cliche was very nonchalant about it, but from the edges of her gaze, Silacea could detect the fae sizing her up. How she wished to spring at her, and catch her by the throat, slinging her into the col waters of the Shallow Bend, never to be seen again. Her throat burned as it desperately attempted to growl, but Silacea swallowed it whole, without a trace. Her hatred bubbled and steamed as a witch's brew, and if Aziza didn't shut the sheer pride from her voice, she was bound to get cursed. It was a slight undertone that Silacea thought she could hear among her ill choice of words. She knew the others present thought little of her, but she payed no mind.
"I'll spar with whoever thinks they can take me on." Her gaze was tossed to Aziza and Cliche, then, directing it to the other warrior in her wake, her sickly sweet voice dripped steady like nectar from a flower, she lightly spoke. "Or, since the healers seem more into having fun then we could spar in groups, working as a unit instead of individuals."

When Tye's voice boomed once more, she registered the sentence that arose from his mouth. Have I killed someone..? Of that she was unsure. She had made advances before to take a life...but had she done it? Was that something her mind kept locked up? Her amnesia took many things from her, but had she taken a life when she escaped her old pack? She knew not what to say, but decided to answer with as much honesty as she could manage.
"I have made advances to take a life. Yet hidden in the recesses of my mind, there very well may be a memory of death that I do not wish myself to remember. I honestly do not know if I have taken the life from another, for I am unsure of all my mind keeps hidden from me." Her words came serious, her eyes void of detectable emotion. Cold, as usual. Her brain turned it's gears, but she just couldn't remember. She had done this a million times over. But the only time she had remembered her past was when she was around Irrationality. Irrationality.. the name ran through her ears, though it was left unsaid. His mechanical front wasn't the least bit charming, but the red fae couldn't help but wonder if their may be something more to him. Maybe, he did have a loving side that soared among the skies, happy and free.
Or she was a day dreaming fae, bustling amongst dull realities.

Ears flickering in the direction of the others she couldn't help the smirk, how childish of them. She thought for the wolves to get so riled up....and over a male...ridiculous in her eyes. If she were to get with any male it'd just be a game. She could never see herself actually falling for one and if she did life's cruel way of unluck would gorge her. She slowly shook her head with slight disgust.
She blinked a few more times before feeling the tense air run cold...oh what a heavenly question though it seemed to strike the stone hearted warriors, they both answered, one seeming brokenly maybe? Or not, though she saw her eyes as the wolf walked towards her as if moving away from the question and what ever thoughts she had. 'Even the coldest of warriors...could be bothered with this questions? Hmm maybe there's just a difference. I've seen many boast...' Finally sitting her romp on the ground she cocked her head to the side and watched the group with curiosity.
(Sorry for short post, not much for me to post too >w<)

Hesitation always signified doubt, or unwillingness to reveal the truth. Cassiopeia’s response was riddled with it and again, he wondered what the white seductress was hiding. Killing was a necessity that couldn’t be avoided. It just was and that was the way in which Tye approached the notion. He could not quite understand the reason for the fear in Cassiopeia’s eyes at her response for he had become far too desensitized to empathize with any terror that was associated with killing. Fear was not an option in a real battle. However he understood it was an emotion that could only be erased with time and harsh, gruelling training. It would be present in those that weren’t accustomed to doing so. He gazed at the white fae calmly as she moved back near Aziza,“Remember this, on the battle-field there’s only death and life, only you and the opponent. There’s no room for doubt or fear. Since this is sparring session you can afford such emotions as I think no one will intentionally kill each other. In saying that…” At this, he paused, adding wryly, “This is not a game. Be serious and hopefully no one will get hurt.” His ears flicked, head turning to Silacea. Strong words, as expected. Perhaps his initial impression of the princess had been wrong after all. She seemed more confident, more sure of herself. To her words his expression didn’t change. So she had a memory problem. That was...less promising. He said,“That’s useful. Maybe we’ll find out when you get a concussion to jog your memory.” Well, at least she had confidence on her side so it all evened out. He cast his gaze on Cassiopeia. He was unsure of her confidence for the moment. Perhaps she needed to go to Chiara to train but if she couldn’t even face him without wavering then he had doubts if she could be able to face Chiara. So perhaps a one on one session was needed in that case. And he was glad that Aziza was not acting strangely. That was a relief.

“Warrior will fight warrior and healer will fight healer,” Tye commanded.“Depending on how we fare, we can also switch partners later on. Silacea, before you start wash your cut in the river so that it’ll slow down the bleeding and you don’t end up passing out before we’ve even started. Remember ladies, this is training, not a chance to kill each other.” With that, he ordered moving a few paces away from Cassiopeia and Silacea near the shadier area, "Aziza! Cliche! Over here!" He glanced at the two warriors, "You two, start when you're ready. I'll join in a minute."

(occ: It's fine wasn't expecting you to post much since the question was directed at Cass and Silacea anyway)

Composed as she was, Cassiopeia couldn't help feeling an inkling of cold still touching her skin. Her brown eyes hardened and her resolve turned to steel, she was not here to fail. She listened dutifully to the words of others, hating her moment of weakness. The others had seen the effect the question had had and they could never know that the thought of killing want even what scared her the most. In fact she was rather well rehearsed at killing and if the pack's chief hadn't killed her lover first, she would have been proud to rip his throat out. It was the demon's cold grasp of her mind and memory which scared her. Not to mention he wouldn't hold back any normal killing of another wolf, especially if she were justified in the matter. No, the memory which was hidden from her like a page torn out of a book, had more meaning to the demon, a reason to hide it. Unfamiliar images flashed through her mind of dead pups, she couldn't separate her rampant imagination from reality.

Blinking, she heard Tye's words and Silacea became her opponent, sizing her up immediately. Her fae body was larger than the cream one suiting Cassiopeia, thick red fur covering hidden muscle. Any warrior would be a challenge, but larger meant better. Cassiopeia's light feet and small body could maneuver in and around a larger wolf's attacks. Her brain was already calculating distance and her own speed into possible attacks. The weakness which often caught Cassiopeia was that she didn't have the same brute force behind her attacks as a larger wolf. Therefore she had to plan carefully on how to use her whole force, throwing herself into an attack without planning often led to being caught.

"Ready?" Voice gruff with adrenaline she prepared her stance, legs far apart to keep balance. She would wait for Silacea to start the first attack, she was the one with the bleeding cut to wash. Muscles rippled with rich, hot blood ready for battle, this was masked under innocent cream fur. Dark brown eyes showed no emotion, not even the excitement which was welling within her. The demon sat atop his crimson and charcoal throne awaiting the gladiators to fight, his own dark emotions mixed with her own. He hoped for blood in this friendly spar, even more than what already stained Silacea's leg. Tensed and ready to go she shifted her center of weight to her back legs, ready to dodge the sure to come attack. A quick hop of her feet and she would be out of range of the red wolf.

The curiosity of the Alpha male forced him to leave the safety and dark dwelling which was his den. His massive paws covered the ground, his body acting as a forecast on the ground from light of the sun. His tail hung between his legs, lying perfectly still. His silver lifeless-colored eyes looked back and forth as he moved about. The borders had already been taken care of by Nyx and Chiara. This was a pleasant sight for him, allowing him to mingle amongst the pack. But as he wandered around the dens, he discovered many of them to be vacant. Suspicion was a deadly thing to play with, but the Alpha had to know where most of his pack was. Making his way from the pack clearing, he followed the scents of the wolves. He picked up a few that he knew and a few he did not. New wolves must have joined them, which he was glad to discover. The pack had increased and grown right beneath his nose. Following the multiple scents, he made his way, thinking of all the possibilities of his pack.

Crossing the lands into Shallow Bend, he could smell their scents ripe and strong. It was clear they were here, it would only be a matter of finding them. Steele moved slowly, taking his time as not to disturb the gathering, as he discovered all the scents led to one place. Was there some kind of brawl happening? Who was to know? Or was it a meeting to discuss tyranny? Whichever it was Steele was going to make sure his presence was known. When he found the group, he made his way over to them. He did not speak at first, trying to recognize their names and faces from what he heard from Chiara, Nyx, and even ones he knew for himself. The Omega was among them, which was slightly intriguing. The healer who had aided Katyusha was there as well. The other wolves he barely even knew. "What is it we are doing on this glorious day?" As he asked his question, he looked around the area, looking to all of them for an answer. That was, if any were brave enough to answer for what they were doing here.

The red hued fae nodded her head in a solemn response to Cassiopeia. Her eyes turned to the river, and walked until she was paw deep. She swished her paw around, but only a moment, for the fae backed out, satisfied with her work. She turned her body to see before her the great Alpha Steele. What a pleasant surprise, indeed.
"Hello my alpha. My companions and I have gathered here this day to train in hopes of being able to better serve out pack." Her words rung out without a stutter as she respectively held her ground.

Her fur fluffed slightly at his presence. Somewhat unnerving that he just dropped by. Yet Silacea hadn't the slightest clue why. Her eyes looked to him, a faint smile playing the corners of her maw. She took a few long strides to stand next to Cassiopeia, nodding toward her as she spoke,
"Warrior Cassiopeia and I were about to spar. We would love nothing more than you to observe us, or if it suits you, to partake in the training yourself." her words were hinted with deep thought amongst their clarity. Would he join? Her mind quietly asked itself. Perhaps he would. It would be her chance to show her alpha what she was truly made of, to make her gifts known.

She followed to the sound of the Omega's words, slightly dismayed by how confident he was in his lesser rank, but quickly dismissing the idea to judge. As she awaited Aziza to stand before her, the wind was caught in a mix of masculine and defining odors. Chills ran up her spine before she could picture to that whom owned the strong scent, for it was only one who could ever be, "He's near.." She whispered to herself in an almost inaudible tone, raising her head nearest to the ground to a normal height to suit her rank almost perfectly. Caught between the dark and light were a mere shadow of entrance, the ruler himself unveiling to that his presence before them the closer he emerged from the pools of black the forests controlled. Their whispered secrets formed eagerly over the male's shoulders, the broadness to his torso and lean behavior was almost too charming to resist. Cliche could not take her eyes away from the brute, slightly shifting in weight so that she did not seem as interested as her eyes told.

"A spar." She simply added in the mists of Silacea's words. The fae spared no time in socializing with her master if it even meant her life was on the lines, or perhaps her position. The Warrior had already summarized what was going on, why did she have to waste her breath, then. She moved away from the ground to stand closer to the back, apart from where Tye had originally positioned both Healers for the spar to begin before it was so intriguingly interrupted. The first thought that came to her mind was that the Alpha had been struck with the sheer factor of boredom, as he rarely ever showed his face beneath the lights for his titanium orbs to glow so greatly. He was an abomination for those to praise and obey, but Cliche simply saw him as any other leader she'd heard of. Strong, perhaps wiser than she if not a little, independent - that was what leaders were supposed to have, she believed, "If you acquire entertainment, surely this is not it, my Lord." Her words were targeted as an insult amongst the other females, fluttering her ambers to hover over the opposing mix of bodies while she slowly returned it back to their leading male.

The honey hued female glanced breifly at the female close to her and then back to cliche. It was definitely weird. As the oddity of the other fae's continued aziza held a dumb founded expression until finally tye announced the sparring partners. Though it was to be expected she was still slightly disappointed but maybe she shouldn't mind it so much. Moving forward on hunched shoulders she stood before the other healer. She was all for starting before a grin spread. "Finally things got interesting." Turning along with all the other females to allow her eyes adore the strong and very handsome aspect of their leader. To think...one second those three were seemingly admiring tye now they were all for this male, how typical. She blinked thoughtfully awaiting what honorable words that deep voice of his would roll off his tongue. Her ears flicking as they picked up the words of the others, oh yes...if the brute were to watch he would either be disgusted or point out their mistakes and make them better.

As Cassiopeia moved into position Tye lifted his head, hearing the faint steps of another. He glanced at the others, noting their movements. No, it wasn't Silacea or Cliche or Aziza as their steps weren’t even tune with the approaching ones. As the sound neared them he padded forwards, head starting to sink low to the ground and tail beginning to lift in the beginnings of a show of attack. Muscles tensed, solid and strong underneath a pelt of handsome onyx. His ears shifted forwards intently. In this secluded area he had not expected any other predators to come. There was no reason as they had no food to scavenge nor were they were prey in this hierarchy. The relative seclusion of this area also meant that the possibilities of a predator appearing was slim but these four were part of his pack and he was responsible for bringing them here. He would defend them as best as he could. A shadow crept around the corner, limbs elongated monstrously and among the rapids behind them and the scent of the wolves the lone scent of the Alpha finally reached the forefront of the mix of smells before his muzzle pushed into view. Tye's muscles relaxed and he raised his head, straightening as the obsidian brute’s full form came into view. Speaking of the devil, gracing them with his magnificent presence. Did Tye had magical summoning powers? Perhaps he was a wizard reincarnated.

His gaze strayed to the curdling waters behind them for a moment as a particularly harsh whip of water smashed against one of the rocks with a ruthless throw from the current. That didn't bode well. Silacea and Cliche both answered in that momentary second, one that sounded coquettish and another, with a double meaning that he believed pointed to the entertainment that could only come as a result of fighting faes. His attention returned back to the others, particularly Cliche and Silacea. It was no secret that the Alpha had amassed his fair share of attention from the faes in their pack. He was the Alpha so it was to be expected. From what he gathered, it was his power and something about his stare. Tye supposed there was something charming in his dead, hollow, silver-eyed gaze that attracted the faes, whatever that was. He watched on, strong features an impeccable mask at Silacea’s response. She seemed to have grown triple as bright at his presence though with a tinge of nervousness. Tye’s eyes roamed to Cliché, searching her eyes for any signs of affection. Nothing that he could see that was absolute but afforded respect. Though the fact that her eyes remained on him for a long time disturbed him which disturbed the black male’s psyche in return. When had something so minor become an actual bother to him? He turned to the Alpha, pushing those thoughts into the dark abyss of his mind and strode past them paws grinding earth underfoot with swiftness that enhanced his toned, muscled body. Slowing to a smooth stop in front of him at half a body’s length, Tye dipped his head low to the ground deferentially, tail draped behind his back legs and spoke in a confident, clear voice,“If I may speak, it was my idea so I take responsibility for it. As for my reasons, this is not an uprising or rebellion against you. You showed me more mercy for my treason than my previous Alpha would have and I owe you my life. Even though I am just a mere Omega I still wanted to help the pack with whatever skills I possess so I organized a sparring session in order to help strengthen the skills of our forces, me included.”

He straightened, looking at the two warriors and said, “Silacea and Cassiopeia are the newest warriors to join our ranks so I thought we could learn from one another and become stronger. The healers, Cliché and Aziza, I initially invited to watch and learn for a short period of time but they announced their interest so they are here to spar as well. In doing so, they will be capable of fighting and have a chance of defending themselves against the fighters of Helidos or be able to buy time until someone can help them in battle situation. I believe that they are the most vulnerable and it would benefit them even if they train for a short while.” Waiting for his response one ear twisted slightly as another crash of water lanced the air, this one more vicious. Just another day in the bend.

PostSubject: Re: Highway to Hell [Private] Highway to Hell [Private] Icon_minitimeFebruary 13th 2014, 19:09

Cassiopeia's sensitive ears were prepared to fight, taking in every aspect of Silacea, memorizing her tread. Instead the cotton ears picked up strides of a different kind, heavier and coarser, coming from the dark of the forest. She watched Tye ready himself for an attack, her own thoughts flying for who it could be. She swung her stance to face the trees, she was already prepared for a fight, another foe meant that she would be allowed to use her fatal skills. A growl was about to take her throat when she saw Tye loosen and her leader's smell hit her nose as well. Her taut body released as bow might after the arrow has flown, she wasn't completely relaxed though. She was unsure of this Alpha, she worried of his view of her, as well as his similarities to her demon.

She felt Aziza near her side, a subtle truce until further notice. Her ears heard the undertones in the red fae's voice, a wish to please and a possible affection for the great male. Cassiopeia looked at him with refreshed, hazelnut eyes, looking for the same things which pleased her spar partner's eyes. She only saw cold grey, something which would give her a shiver to be too near. Her imagination took a twist and he was her mate, sharing a den with the cold eyed male. She continued on the daydream with trying to find the warmth within the steel heart. It was sickeningly close to the situation with her own heart, disappeared and yet to be found. She didn't like this view of the black male, he was far from the sweet but naive wolf who she had took as her mate. She tossed the whole train of thought, it only confused her to look at the grey eyed beast in such ways.

Cliche's words felt like needles to the paw, a nuisance, which if the Alpha hadn't been looking, she would have addressed. Hostility reared its ugly head and she had to stamp it out before it spread, her demon had given her an order and she wasn't one to disobey. She still felt distaste towards the fae, one who didn't know her place in Cassiopeia's mind.

At the mention of her name, spoken from Tye's mouth, she bowed her head to Steele. Once Tye finished his speaking she felt the need to make herself clear, she wouldn't let all blame fall to Tye. "Warrior Cassiopeia, sir, and do not blame Tye, it was my choice to come." She took a step forward, simple what she meant, she would not hide behind Omega Tye. She still kept honey in her tone, but she was serious with what she said. Her eyes averted, not wanting it to seem a challenge to the reigning king. She wouldn't back down though, if Tye were to take a beating, she would bear half. Her demon looked on slightly disapproving, why should she risk her neck when another was already on the guillotine? But she held fast, her neck ready for a biting grasp which would throw her to the ground, a sensation which she had previously endured.

Silacea shrugged her shoulders forward in an attempt to stretch her sore muscles. Her breathing slightly hitched as she flicked her ear carelessly to the side, her posture raised slightly as she flexed her claws out to scrape at the hard earth below her. She wasn't a violent wolf, but she got vicious during spars. She had moments where she lashed out and thought very morbid things. Yet her mind ran clear. It seemed as if all the fae knew were the tactics taught to her her entire life. Push down your pain. Know not what fear if, but how to make others afraid. Go for the throat. Her hear slightly shook- she must forget that one for this simple spar. Aim for the kill- yet another unwanted thought. She couldn't kill her. She couldn't severely injure. But she could acess Cassiopeia's weak points as she falsely gazed around, seemingly uninterested in the cream fae.
"Are you ready?" Her voice was relaxed, yet her form was anything but.

Silacea knew much better than to allow her guard to drop. The slightest slip of concentration, and it could cost her the spar.
