| The days had come and gone and the male found himself roaming the lands of Helidos. Mostly to familiarize himself with the layout and where each herb, berry, and homeopathic remedy known to wolf lay. The brute had begun his trainings with the newly reformed apprentice, but he had yet to begin her sensory training and it was as he padded into the glade did he find this would be the spot. Jackle glanced around him for sight of the female he had grown so close too and eventually found himself with a deeoer admiration to her, but unaware of how she may have felt. Would he be so bold as to ask her? Jackle was used to her blunt speech and how she was carefree, yet very attentive to him and her job. Indeed, she had come very far in her healing training. Jackle swelled with pride at his pupil. Now he only wondered if she could out smart the teacher.
The brute never belittled her and always pushed for her to speak of her life thus far and to always excell in pushing her mental capacity to the brink. Yet, never forcing her to pry into a past that wished not to be found. It only exhausted the teacher and tortured the student and Jackle wouldnt stand for such nonsense. As the sun drew high into the cloudy sky, the male padded forth into the arrangement of flowers. Such familiar scents graced his nostrils as the nectar and pollen rose up and lay like dust upon his fur. Hundreds of crickets scattered for their lives as he gracefully took his steps further and further into the field, his eyes still scanning for her. How he longed to see her gait out into the open, her breast swaying rhythmicly and her tail swaying in time. Jackles heart raced as he heard the light snapping of vine and stems or flowers afar. The male scanned atop the rows of colors to only see bee's searching for their own survival.
Indeed this place was the most peaceful of all and the longer he stood there, the more he longed to speak nothing but the truth to the female who would soon join his side. Yet, how was he supposed to tell her of feelings that were just bebeginning to brew. Jackle still knew little about her still and longed to know more, longed to be by her side forever more, and always care for her. More than what his rank would behold him. To him, she was more than a rank, she was his life now. And, Jackle would spend the rest of his years trying to prove that to her. Tilting his head back he howled out into the glade, sending the vermin and insecta a flutter, as he called out for Ember. |

| It had been an incredibly long while before she had felt this free. The glade had been overwhelming beautiful when she approached. An ideal place for herbs, this was her original place of searching. Quickly she found herself at a bouncing trot throughout the flowers, that trot turning into a bounding run as she stretched out to bound through the meadows. They were fully abloom, the petals of every plant in their prime. To her they resembled a sunset. Purples, pinks, and blues all leading up to that lovely assortment of reds, yellows, and oranges. She loved this place with more adoration each and every time she visited, but she took a little less time to admire that day. Her heart was swept up in the waves that were Jackle; his teachings had become the best part of her day. Not only because she was learning, but she could openly be near him without anyone knowing of her emotions. Ember had been tempted to follow him many a time after he had taken his leave from their lessons. Like a magnet she gravitated around him and wanted nothing more than a reason to fuss over him in that kind and caring way she’d seen other females do.
As she made her way to their meeting place, her fur took it upon itself to collect the falling petals of each flower she passed. Her gait bushed much of it off, but her fur clung still to petals of varying colors. They peppered her fur in a menagerie and reflexed their waxy hues in the sunlight. Ember’s tongue lolled from her mouth in happily, expressing her emotions that mirrored the light in her silver eyes. This was her appearance as she approached Jackle, her bounce in her step excited and her mouth smiling from ear to ear. The healer’s tail swayed behind her and took on a wag of its own. Coming face to face with the brute, the fae gave him a respectful lick of the cheek and lingered a moment more before she stepped away. “Hello Jackle, it’s a pleasure to see you today. Your choice of meeting is incredibly beautiful, it nearly took my breath away. I’m sorry if I am a bit late, I got carried away in my exploring.”
Her mouth closed and enclosed her fleshy pink tongue within her jaws, her ears coming forwards and her head tilting curiously to the side. “May I ask what we are doing today? Especially in a place like this.” She gestured around at the sheer beauty around them for affect, her paws nervously shuffling as she did so. Ember had run out of words to say as she worked to swallow back the butterflies that set themselves in flight within her stomach. It was a conscious effort to keep her tail from thwacking about and to keep it curled at her side. With her mood she wanted to play and romp around until it grew dark and was time to return home, a time that she would rue because it meant yet another handful of waiting moments before she would see him again. Ember would never tell him these things for she was too fearful of the result. He was her mentor and she his apprentice, but she felt like so much more. |

| How lovely he looked as she approached and how his heart beat fluttered as he gazed upon her beauty. The healer had come so far in her work ethics and he had become so proud of her. Admired her will to make others better and her drive to be happy all the time. The male adored her sense of humor and longed to hear her sweet voice everyday, and even on the days when they were apart he longed to be at her side. Taking in her intellectual logic on life and listening to her talk about her likes and dislikes. Any minute he had with her, he wholesomely enjoyed. However, he had not told her in fear, but what was life without a risk or two. They were well enough friends that even if he made it awkward, she might just laugh it off. The males heart pounded as she came closer, her beauty radiant in the glow of the sun, and her voice carried forth.
"Never apologize for being late to accompany me. As a gentleman, I would wait forever for you to join my side." Bashfully after realizing what he haf said he bowed to Ember he shuffled backwards and looked at his feet. Slowly he turned his massive head up in a boyish way and tendly spoke to Ember. Nothing but the truth emerged from his lips. "Ember, as your mentor I have grown proud in your ways and honored to have you as my student. For months, you have excelled in your healing ways and knowledge where if need be, I would trust you with my own life for minor and major triage, or at least to hold down the fort until I got there. But, that is as your mentor. I come to you now as your friend, one who has gotten to know the real you despite anything and everything youve gone through. The friend who will hopefully stand by your side until we are Elders here and bored of our lives. Yet, I stand here as the friend who wants more than that. The friend who loves you. Who is in love with you. Who needs to see you every morning when you wake up and every night when you fall asleep. The one who longs to hear you speak your mind and know whats wrong. The friend who wants to show you the world and make your wildest dreams come true. The one who wants to be your man, a gentleman, and if the heavens ever bless the father of your pups. The one who wants to be yours, if you will have it that way."
The words came out rushed and passionate and by the end he was up on his paws, nearly shouting and co fessing his love for her out into the beautiful abyss. Eyes bore and locked onto Embers as he fueled the fire within. When he finished softly he was in her face and as he leaned forward he kissed her lips. Each nose touching and he begged for her to push back, to say how she felt, and he hoped that she wouldnt deny him and make a fool of himself. Jackle needed to know how she felt. |

| Taken aback by his words, she was startled. They had rushed out so suddenly she took a moment to process. She’d watched each individual letter and syllable tumble from his mouth and float passionately to her ears. The fae honestly believed she would be well along in her years before she could hear the exact speech she was hearing now, but she was more than overjoyed to even listen to the words. Her heart stuttered and raced in her chest as he continued on, her eyes staring into his with a joyful shock. Jackie had been a male of few words and more actions to her, one of teaching through the mind but not verbally. But now, as he professed his feelings, she could honestly say she reciprocated them. Warmth rushed over her from her ears to her toes and she took on a giddiness so utterly female that it was blinding. Her head and heart spoke the same tune for what it felt like the very first in a long, long time. She felt it in her bones that this was right, that Jackle was the one. And her heart listened happily, skipping down its path until she was his. Still he continued his speech and her paws twitched to be closer to him as she laughed at the silliness of him. He seemed like a never-ending current when it was obvious she was a mirror of his emotions. If she were to think back she could remember every time of tension when they were close, her heart thudding wildly as she hoped for him to come the slightest bit closer. She’d craved that and learned more in his teaching because of it. When it was her turn to speak she never got the chance, for his nose was pressed upon hers in a kiss.
It took a moment for her to press back, but little by little she came from her shock and responded. She rose up onto all of her paws and her tail swayed to and fro happily as the moment continued. Ember waited until he pulled away to lick his cheek and smile her brightest smile, speaking softly. “You have been a great mentor, Jackle. You’ve taught me well and helped me learn far more about myself than I could have on my own. I was stumbling in the dark until you became my light, and for that I am grateful. But now, now you come to me and say you want to be more than what we are. You wish to be the father of my young and by my side forever. My feelings could not possibly match yours more, and I will take you as you are in such a way because I love you too, Jackle, I do. It feels that I have since I first laid my eyes upon you. I feel like I've known you forever, but now the pieces of my puzzle finally fit together.” As she said this the fae took her usual place at his side and began grooming his ears as she had done before. It had been a sign of friendly affection but had meant so much more to her as she let the symbolism show now. Her tail curled over his back and she nuzzled into his scruff. Adoringly her eyes gazed up at him as they met and held, her response being to groom his fur and fuss over him as she’d wanted to. |

| Could it be true? Were the males ears working properly? Eyes gazed over her as she too showed him affection in ways he had only hoped for. All his hard work at helping her had payed off in the most gracious of ways. The male felt honored for a long while as she took her rightful place beside him. Together they reveilled in their bliss before he broked the silence. As he drew his mouth open he paused not truly knowing what to say, but as he looked at his newest of loves he spoke softly.
"It is as if my soul recognizes yours Ember. It is something I can not explain but I feel everything, every emotion floods my being and I have nothing but unconditional love for you. However, with our new found love it is only proper that we take this before the Alphess. It seems as if there is something in the waters of Helidos, for we are just another couple in this world finding one another. Ember, I feel complete when I am with you, as if I have been searching all my days to find you. I feel as if I know you and have always known you and I will spend this life and the next life finding you. In all ways imaginable. I want to be your everything and have a daughter like you named Pearl." The male smiled a devilish smile toward the female and gently nuzzled the top of her head with his chin. Casually rubbing his cheek and ear alongside her neck and shoulder before scooting his paws closer to her's.
Jackle continued, "Miss Ember, will you my paw in spiritual matrimony? Will you spend the rest of your days with me?" The males voice was smooth as honey and his white pelt blended into hers. Any closer and they would be one. The male was genuinely at peace all the way to his core. All he needed now was Ember to sat yes and for the two of them to take it to Quinn. Jackle was not about to elope without permission but that didnt mean he couldnt propose and engage his confessions to Ember. What would the Alphess say? All this after she just told them about the new Alpha. Quinn didnt seem like the one to deny a union of wolves but mayne she would prevent them from having pups. It didnt matter, Jackle was compelled to make Ember his soulmate. |

| (OOC: Sorry it's short, your reply can end the thread if you want.)
The fae smiled her brightest smile and leaned against him lovingly, her heart singing in her chest. “I know we will need to take these matters before the Alphess dear. I can only hope she will allow us our union. I feel complete when I am with you as well, it makes me happy to know my heart is so full.” As he addressed their having a family, Ember was taken aback at the name Pearl. She’d always figured that she’d name them when she saw their faces, and she’d never considered a pup named Pearl. Ember kept this silent though and smiled along to his words. “Then, it seems, we both want daughters dear… If we may have them that is. I am not to know what the world will bless us with.” Her tail swayed gently and she flicked her ears about, listening to every little thing that happened around them. The bees were abuzz with the finding of their nourishment. Everything seemed right now, more whole. It was as if she saw things in a new light; a light she’d never glimpsed before. It was comforting to know her life would continue as her days were starting to dwindle down to the few precious years she would have left. She’d spend them with her love, and place all her love into the world.
When he asked her his question, she looked at him as if he were out of her mind. “Are you joking Jackle? Yes! I love you, so of course yes.” She laughed and licked his face from his nose to his ears. She curled her tail around his back and scooted herself closer to him until they were touching with every inch of their sides. He’d be her first for everything and she was worried about more things than one. The first one being whether or not her fertility was in question; if it was they may not be able to have pups at all. Her second being not to fail as a future mate, possibly mother, and as a healer. The first she looked forwards to, the last even more so. She was to start her healing practices now. No longer would she be a patient, but the doctor herself. This was exciting, everything was exciting enough for Ember to get worked up.
