| The new healer stepped into the den. He already met the other healer in this pack, Healer Jackle and so he found it best that he get himself settled into the healers den. It was nice and organized and smelled of many herbs, he looked around wondering if anyone would come to him even though he was new he still was experienced. He just needed to figure out the set up of the den first, where each herb is and see if there are different herbs around this area. He sniffed around and started memorizing the herb, he saw some tansy in the corner and next to it a bit of marigold and many other herbs. This place was perfect it had quite a bit of space for injured wolves, although the moss laying out seemed comfy. He resisted the urge to go and lay down and went outside to stock up on herbs for the winter. He looked around and saw a patch of poppies. He trotted over to them and carefully got the seeds. He took the seeds back to the den and looked for the rest of the poppy seeds, when he found them he dropped them in the pile. To his luck they were running low on poppy seeds. He looked around the den, there wasn't much to do right then until a wolf came in and so he just sat and waited. Maybe Jackle would come in and they could talk or someone hurt would come and he could help. Right then he just sat and relaxed, waiting for some company.

| It had been a while since someone else resided in the den with him and as the cream male entered the scene, he saw the recently appointed male Kokoro gathering poppy for their stock piles. "Merci." Jackle said as he hopped upon the rocks to enter into the den, dipping his head low as he entered the cave. The aroma was beautiful, heavenly to the healer's nose as he laid down on the mossy spot, he had claimed as his own. Near his head there was a water source that trickled down the side of the den's inner workings and it pooled to fresh water near his head. From where he laid, he could see the opening of the den, was within ear shot of anyone coming and far enough in to not take up valuable space for those who would desperately need it later in time. Still, Jackle surveyed trying to find an appropriate spot for the other male to find shelter and decided that across from him there was a small nook in the cave's walls that was deep enough for the new male to back into and stay warm. Jackle rested his head upon his forelegs and sighed, the winter was here and it was going to get worse. However, he felt like he had done Creek proud, stalking up on everything they could possibly need and even in the worst outcomes Jackle knew that they would be fine. With Kokoro at his side, it made things easier, but now he didn't know if he was going to get used to having someone around. At least with Creek, it was easier he was coming into her territory, and now it was the same with the new healer.
Jackle wasn't cruel or even mean spirited and he would accept the new male with open paws, but it would take time for jackle to get used to another in the den besides Athena, who was few and far between these days. Assuming that it was the loss of Creek that had her feeling the way she did. Jackle barely knew her too, only seeing her in passing, and never once stopping to talk to her. Jackle was always busy and if he wasn't with Nnyla, he was off on his own collecting or suficing his hunger. Lifting his head, Jackle heard the new male approach the opening and softly he called out to him, "Vini non, vini ... kite a pale." The haitian creole was thick as it escaped his mouth and with a chuckle he corrected himself. "Come, come... let's talk." Jackle spoke again and awaited the new male to come in and get settled. There was a heavy scent of poppy as it was added to the pile and it made Jackle head a little drowsy, it was so calming. Briefly he closed his eyes and listened for the arrival of Kokoro. They had much to discuss and many things to be set into place. Jackle's time was coming, he could feel it. |

| After setting down the poppy he heard a voice call, it was Jackle. "Ah, hello Jackle. How are you today?" He walked over to the other healer, the only other wolf he knew in his pack other then Nnlya. He settled himself down next to Jackle and smiled. It was nice to know you have someone to talk to, and in fact someone who wanted to talk to you. Kokoro was getting used to the aroma of the den, he felt like laying down in the den and just dosing off to dreamland but he didn't he kept himself awake waiting for a reply from Jackle. He didn't know any of the wolves of Helidos and thought he should at least introduce himself to the Alpha, the main wolf of the pack that makes all decisions. He just didn't know when the right time was. Kokoro, lost in his thoughts, started to think about his old life. He knew it probably was wrong to leave his old pack but what was the point of staying. He got a new healer in his place and he had heard rumors that his father was going to assassinate him. He probably should not have told Nnlya the rest of his story, the part about leaving or death or maybe he shouldn't have told her anything at all. Maybe he should have told her that he came from a dark pack and they kicked him out because he was not a fighter and they only believed in the girls being healers and he broke the laws about being a healer.
The thought about his life sent a shiver down his spine, he went back to focusing on the white wolf. He shook his head and brought his thoughts all back to this pack. After all he was part of this pack and he should think with this pack. He needed to remember he was safe in Helidos so he tried not to think of his past. He held back in his thoughts and kept them in Helidos. It was actually easier then he thought as long as he wasn't lost in thought. His eyes brightened back up at the sight of Jackle, he was part of this wonderful pack and so he should not think of a bad pack. A pack hypnotized by its alpha to fight all day and fight all night. It was absolutely wrong and so if that pack was wrong this one was right. |

| Jackle watched as the male got comfortable and he listened carefully as he asked him how he was, it was difficult to answer and he knew that the new healer knew nothing of Creek so it was best to leave it be. With winter coming, Jackle would want to know who this new healer was, so he found himself in light conversation. "Bien, it means good. For I am swelling with happiness that I am no longer alone." The Haitian creole accent was thick and very french sounding and he chuckled, knowing it would take time for Kokoro to get used to it, and he looked forward to teaching him words in creole so that he could speak more in his native tongue when it came to their job. "Tell me about yourself, we shall go question for question, no? If you plan to work alongside of me, it is best to know one another's faults and prides when it comes to this line of work. I long to hear about how you became a healer, the first wolf you ever healed, wise words you have for yourself and for me, and what you hope to accomplish here in Helidos. You do not have to answer these directly, but I do wish to have answers to them and I shall answer any you may have. Come, we have a long night still and with the cold weather coming I think it would be best before I show you the lands tomorrow morning." Jackle smiled as he rested his head upon his paws and closed his eyes waiting for a reply.
It was comforting knowing that there was always going to be someone new to the pack, that even in death there would be new life. Soon, there would be new young gracing the lands for the first time, sickness that would come from the season changes of winter to spring and so on and so forth. Although Jackle loved his job, he wished for nothing serious to happen to anyone here and longed for a safe and happy life for everyone in Helidos. Opening his eyes, he looked at the newest healer and smiled. The male was a decent size, not as large as Jackle but still a hefty male and it made Jackle realize that anyone who sought help would indeed be protected. The mind of the healer drifted off to Nnyla, he had not spoken to her in a few days but he knew that something was wrong, and his feelings for her were slowly fading for he knew that Drogo was back. The pain hurt from falling too fast for the female but it would be her choice as to who she would choose, in the end he would always be a great friend to the both of them and hoped that he would someday find the love he was searching for. As time pressed on his mind would always focus on work, but he longed to leave this den and sleep alongside someone who would forever love him, even after death. Much like Eclipse and Creek, it was an envious kind of love. |
